Deep Talking Between Friends of Two Teams
Ruby is seen looking all sad with her face down on the table while her teammates are handling the decoration of the ballroom.
"I need you to pick a tablecloth." Weiss placed two square tablecloths in front of Ruby.
Ruby looks at the two clothes in confusion that they look exactly the same and not sure why Weiss is asking her to pick one.
"Aren't they both the same?" Ruby asked.
"She's right, why asking which is which if they're just gonna look the same?" Rushuna asked looking over from Weiss's shoulder.
"Clearly you two lack the sense of knowing the clear difference. I don't even know why I bother." Weiss rolled her eyes.
"For the last time, Nora. We are not using your hammer to smash the watermelon to make it look like a crown for the for the food table." Ren said.
"But it'll be much quicker this way!" Nora proclaimed while holding her hammer in the air.
"Besides, it's not like you can do it yourself." Nora shrugged.
Ren decided to prove Nora wrong as he pulls out two of his gun-blades swirling them around on his fingers then swinging them fast at the watermelon for two seconds, nothing happened at first until he taps the top with just one finger than the watermelon split into eight pieces.
"Show off." Nora groaned and Ren smiled in victory.
"Aren't you going to help out, Ruby?" Jaune asked as he and his team volunteered to help team RWBY with the preparations for the dance.
"What's the point? Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going?" Ruby said sad.
"Oh, don't worry; she's going." Yang smirked.
"Do you have a plan?" Jaune asked the older blonde sister.
"Totally." Yang nodded, then turns to see Weiss and gasp.
"Weiss! I thought we agreed: No doilies!" Yang complained.
"If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines!" Weiss walked up to Yang and pointed her finger at the face.
"Now, now, I'm sure we can work on something out for both parties to get what they want for the dance to be fun." Pyrrha stepped in to keep the two from arguing.
"Just as long as I get my fog machine." Yang said.
"Your dance is gonna have fog machines?" Neptune asked as he and Sun walked into the ballroom and seeing the place looks great so far.
"We were thinking about it." Weiss responded giggling.
"I hope you boys are ready for the dance because we are putting in a lot of work for this." Rushina excited.
"You better believe we are! You ladies all excited for dress-up?" Sun asked.
"Yeah, right." Ruby chuckled rolling her eyes.
"Laugh all you want. I'll be turning heads tomorrow night!" Yang proclaimed.
"No way, I'm the one who's going to be looking so shockingly hot that you'll be the one bowing to me." Nora smirked sticking out her butt a little.
"Oh, is that a challenge?" Yang smirked back, taking an interest to this.
"Maybe I am. Scared?" Nora asked as the two lean closer with their foreheads almost like they were touching each other.
"Anyway, are you two going to wear anything?" Weiss asked the two boys.
"This?" Sun gestured to the clothes he is already wearing right now.
"Oh, does that mean you're allow to wear your regular clothes to the dance as well?" Rushuna asked curious.
"No, it requires you to wear a suit or a fancy dress." Jaune stated.
"Ignore him for he knows not what he says." Neptune said with an arm in front of Sun, but he pushes it away.
"Hey, I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt-and-tie kind of place." Sun bragged as he flexes one of his arms.
"I heard about that rule of Vacuo school, I always thought it was cool and almost made me wanted to go there instead of Beacon." Jaune mentioned.
"Really, then what made you change your mind?" Nora asked.
"It was because he realizes the school and the city were in the desert that is very hot that also was convinced otherwise by his mother to go for Beacon." Rushuna answered.
"Though I bet it would still be cool to look a little sweaty in the heat and working on my endures." Jaune imagined himself.
"Oh, I would like to see you sweat." Nora grinned and Ren becomes a little concern for how she is thinking of Jaune right now.
"I'm sure you would make it no problem." Sun believed.
"Anyway, I was just wondering… what does Blake think of all this? She still being all, y'know... Blake-y?" Sun asked, still worry for Blake after the rush respond from her the other day.
"I'm afraid her mind is still set on finding out more on the White Fang's activates." Rushuna nodded.
"She looks like she's not getting enough pancakes for breakfast, or fish whichever she wants." Nora commented.
"I still can't think of a way to change her mind." Ruby worried.
"Maybe we can softly break her legs and force her to come with us." Nora suggested.
"Nora!" Everyone shouted at her.
"What? I said softly break her legs." Nora pointed out.
"Guys. Trust me; Blake will be at the dance tomorrow." Yang believed as she has her own plan to bring Blake to the dance and be on break from the investigation.
"Okay, we trust you." Jaune nodded.
"Come on, we should get ready ourselves." Jaune said to his team as they agree heading back to their rooms.
Nora on the other hand is feeling something deep in her mind and Ren is a part of that though not really sure if she should talk to him about it, that's when she looks at Pyrrha and Rushuna walking closely together with Jaune which got her an idea of who the two people she should talk to.
(With Blake)
Blake is looking over the computer trying to find anything related about the White Fang with their dark activates with robbing for Dust crystals and taking machines from Atlas, there are a lot of things that she wants to know and stop it before whatever they're planning can happen.
While searching, a little red dot appeared on the screen getting her attention as it moves around before it disappeared.
"(It was probably nothing.)" Blake thought decided to ignore.
But the red dot appears again on the screen moving around some more which is getting on he nerves as it's now on the keyboard and her hand, she glares at the red dot trying not to let this thing get the best of her and tries smacking it with her hand only that it's now on the other hand.
The red dot moves again onto the floor and away almost like it's taunting her to come after it.
She didn't want to waste her time with that red dot but figures she can go find out who is doing this and follow the red dot to the culprit, she stops when the red dot vanished and look up to see the person.
"Hello!" Yang greeted suddenly.
"What are you…?" Blake shocked, and never got to finish her sentence when Yang grabs her arm.
"We need to talk." Yang said before dragging the cat-Faunus somewhere private where they can talk.
(With Pyrrha and Rushuna)
"You don't think it'll make my butt look big, right?" Pyrrha asked showing Rushuna the red she is going to wear.
"Oh no, I believe it will be quite a look for you!" Rushuna believed with her hands together.
"Well, I do like it and the size is right too. Okay, I'm going to wear it!" Pyrrha declared with a proud smile.
"Hey, you two free right now?" Nora asked walking up to them.
"Well, we were just"
"Great! We need to talk!" Nora grabbed Rushuna and Pyrrha's arm dragging them out of the room just when Ren got out of the shower seeing this.
"That better not be Nora asking them for more pancakes." Ren hoped.
Nora took Pyrrha and Rushuna up to the rooftop because the hammer wielding pancake girl wanted some privacy with the two girls she can trust.
"Nora, is there something troubling you? I do not believe you would drag people out here like this if it's something important and personal." Rushuna asked concern.
"Yeah, there's something that has been on my mind and I'm not sure what to do." Nora admitted exclaiming.
"You didn't get in trouble with Professor Goodwitch again?" Pyrrha hoped that's not the case.
"No, it's not her or something I did… It's more like what I've been feeling, and I don't know how to deal with it." Nora answered.
"Then please tell us, you can always count on us to help you in whatever you need." Pyrrha stated gently.
Nora sigh in relief knowing she made the right choice by coming to them.
"You know Ren and I have been together since we were kids, since the town we used to live in was destroyed by hordes of Grimm and it has always been just the two of us throughout the years before we came to Beacon." Nora looked up at the sky remembering all the good and bad times the two had.
"It was mostly struggles and I lost count of how many times I keep getting myself into trouble with having Ren always rescuing me, but there were also times when I also rescue him." Nora chuckled.
"But you pull through together with the determination to become Huntsman and Huntress, to help the people so they wouldn't suffer the same fate as others like you and Ren have, be strong in both the body and soul." Rushuna pointed out as looks up at the sky.
"That's a little deeper than what I was thinking, but yeah." Nora nodded.
"Over the years, I started to develop a certain feeling or two for Ren which might have been love though I didn't want to admit it because we had to focus on being Hunters first and show the world to fear us!" Nora smirked with her fist in the air.
"You do remember Huntress are supposed to be the protectors, right?" Pyrrha asked nervously.
But then Nora became sad looking again and brought her fist back down.
"But then I started to feel something else, a feeling that isn't for Ren like before because that's been getting a little smaller and that feeling has been drawn to someone else." Nora mentioned, feeling nervous that she couldn't form the words out of her mouth of the person.
"It's Jaune, is it?" Rushuna asked bluntly.
"Whoa, how'd you know?!" Nora gasped.
"I've been with Jaune for a couple of years since we first met and been together, within those times the feelings like you've been getting has gotten stronger and one day knew of our love for each other then tied the knot." Rushuna explained.
"There is also something that his father told me about the Arc family having a special charm to drawn in their potential soulmates but getting more than one lover is a rare thing." Rushuna explained.
"Whoa, is that what I'm feeling?" Nora asked shock.
"Maybe, but it can also be your own feelings and Jaune is perhaps the true soulmate you are destined to be with." Rushuna pointed out.
"But… But what about Ren?" Nora asked worry.
"Just because you don't share any romantic feelings towards him doesn't mean he's not special to you anymore. Like you said, the two of you have always been together and have each other's back no matter the danger, like how a brother and a sister would always keep each other safe." Pyrrha stated.
"A brother and a sister?" Nora repeated those words and felt something calm from her heart.
"You two are family with bonds to each other stronger than blood, and that is something to be very proud of." Pyrrha smiled.
Nora took a moment of silence, which is a very rare thing for her to do and thought about what the two girlfriends of Jaune have said with thinking back on how Ren and Nora see each other like brother and sister neither ever had before. She smiles upon realizing that Rushuna and Pyrrha have a strong point, and now knows fully of herself for who she wants to love the most.
"Thanks, you two. That really helped me a lot." Nora smiled.
"You're very welcome." Pyrrha smiled back with a hand on Nora's shoulder.
"We're always here for you because you're our friend and family." Rushuna added with her signature golden smile.
"Say, is Jaune by any chance looking for a third girlfriend?" Nora asked with a grin causing the two girls to laugh.
(With Yang and Blake)
After getting Blake's attention, Yang took her to an empty classroom to have a talk with her for the plan to get the black cat-Faunus to come to the dance.
"Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath." Blake said.
"I don't want you to stop; I want you to slow down." Yang stated while sitting on a desk with her legs cross.
"I don't have the luxury to slow down." Blake complained.
"It's not a luxury; it's a necessity." Yang pointed out.
"The "necessity" is stopping Torchwick." Blake glared at her blonde teammate.
"And we're going to. But first you have to sit down and listen to what I have to say." Yang said patting on the desk for Blake to sit on.
Blake didn't want to hear any of what Yang has to say and just get back to her investigation, but she knew better than to run off from her partner as she'll just try to lure her back or trap her.
"…Fine." Blake decided to give in and hear what Yang has to say and sits down.
"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our dad taught at Signal, and our mom took on missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was, like... Super-Mom: Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then... one day she left for a mission and never came back." Yang looked down feeling sad of the memory and Blake look sorry as well.
"It was tough. Ruby was really torn up, but... I think she was still too young to really get what was going on, y'know? And my dad just kind of... shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost; she was the second. The first... was my mom." Yang revealed shocking Blake.
"He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow, and that she'd left me with him right after I was born. No one had seen her since." Yang explained.
"Why did she leave you?" Blake asked.
"That question... Why? I didn't know an answer, but I was determined to find out. It was all I thought about. I would ask anyone I could about what they knew about her." Yang walked over to the chalkboard and started to draw something with a chalk.
"Then, one day, I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother." Yang remembered that day like it was yesterday.
"I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed out. I must've walked for hours. I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted, but I wasn't gonna let anything stop me. When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care; I had made it. And then I saw them. Those burning red eyes..." Yang closed her eyes remembering the Grimms while clutching her fist.
"There we were: A toddler sleeping in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well have been served on a silver platter. But, as luck would have it, our uncle showed up just in time." Yang finished the story and the drawing on the board.
"My stubbornness should've gotten us killed that night." Yang said.
"Yang... I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child, and this isn't just a search for answers! I can't just"
"I told you!" Yang cut off Blake. "I'm not telling you to stop! I haven't! To this day, I still want to know what happened to my mother and why she left me, but I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?" She asked.
"You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!" Blake talked back.
"No, you don't understand! If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?" Yang turned around with her eyes turning red.
"I'd fight him!" Blake answered.
"You'd lose." Yang pushed her back.
"I can stop him!" Blake tried pushing Yang back, but her body is too exhaust to bunch her an inch.
"You can't even stop me!" Yang pushed a little harder forcing Blake on the desk, then goes up to hug her much to Blake's surprise.
"I'm not asking you to stop. Just please, get some rest. Not just for you, but for the people you care about." Yang said softly and concern as she looks at Blake for a moment before walking away, then stop to look at her again.
"And if you feel like coming out tomorrow, I'll save you a dance." Yang winked before leaving.
This gave Blake some thoughts on what she should do now, and the answer has already come to her.
