Doggy Surprise and First Mission Ready

General James Ironwood is not looking happy right now, not since what he has been informed last night during the Beacon Dance, and he is having that talk with Ozpin and Glynda in the office.

"They were here... Ozpin, they were here!" James said, raising his voice a little.

"We're very much aware of that! Thank you, James." Glynda irritated with a slight glare.

"Fantastic! You're aware! Now are we going to do something about it, or should we just stay the course and continue to ignore what's right in front of us?!" James felt his anger rising up of something happened right under his nose.

Then they heard the alert sounds from the elevator, informing them that someone has arrived.

"Come in." Ozpin said.

Setsuna and Ruby entered the office together with the latter smiling nervously.

"Sorry we couldn't be here much sooner, a certain little rose had to go pushing all the buttons like a kid." Setsuna narrowed her eyes at Ruby.

"I was… the buttons were just making me feel… powerful." Ruby muttered the last part, pressing her fingers together.

"Thank you two for coming. How are you feeling?" Ozpin asked.

"Still alive and kicking, but I still feel a bit sore that we let with that sneaky bitch managed to get away even from me." Setsuna angered, crossing her arms under her breasts.

"Even so, we should still be on the look out for anyone else who tries to pull this kind of stunt again. And next time, I'll be ready." Setsuna promised.

"Me too, I'm gonna do my best." Ruby included herself.

"And we appreciate your willingness to help us." James said, walking up to them.

"Ruby, Setsuna, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could." James impressed with the two, including to Ruby who got here two years early.

"Thank you, sir." Ruby smiled.

"Always a pleasure to do the job." Setsuna nodded.

"Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add." Ozpin explained the reason why they are here.

"Was anyone else with her? Did she look familiar to you at all?" Glynda asked, hoping they can share whatever they have right now.

"I... I don't know. She was wearing a mask, and she never said anything to us. But I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her Semblance, though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked." Ruby explained about the woman they fought last night.

"Not only that, but she was able to completely catch our bullets with her hands and then she melted them into puddles. That there, I believe is her Semblance, some kind of super heat with her hands." Setsuna stated.

"Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Ruby." Glynda recalled that night.

"Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could have been anyone, but we will try to look into the heated hands Semblance." James helped to look into this.

"Wait. You think this girl is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang?" Ruby asked.

"It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together." Ozpin pointed out.

"Well, I've done a little digging myself and I've getting words that Roman has been unusual dealing only lots of Dusts and no money at all, almost like he is getting ready for a big war since is never his style." Setsuna informed the teachers what she knows, and secretly gave Ruby a wink.

"Hmm, that is very concern, and I bet my Semblance that Roman was the one who stole one of the prototype mech." James stroked his chin a bit.

"Southeast." Ruby whispered to Setsuna.

"I also heard something about the southeast, but there wasn't much more to say." Setsuna informed.

"Southeast, but isn't that area infested with Grimm?" Glynda asked.

"Thank you for your cooperation, you two. Why don't you go and spend some time with your friends? You have a big day ahead of you, Miss Rose." Ozpin allowed them to leave.

"Any time." Ruby smiled as the two walked toward the elevator.

"We'll be sure to let you know if we learned anything more." Setsuna said.

(Team RWBY's Room)

Ruby and Setsuna enter the room together, and both Team WBY and JNRRP zoom up to them with some having concern on their faces and Nora having a smirk on her face.

"What happened?" Yang asked.

"Did you have an arm-wrestling contest with the general? I heard rumors that he has a robotic arm." Nora mentioned.

"Nora, please." Ren shook his head.

Ruby chuckles nervously while Setsuna has a grin thinking the carrot top girl has a wild imagination.

(Beacon Headmaster Office)

"Well, there we have it. We send as many troops as we can to the southeast, find out exactly what's going on, and eradicate any forces that stand in our way." James suggested an extreme measure to deal with the problem right now.

"Why must your answer to everything involve a triumphant display of military bravado!? You treat every situation like it's a contest of measuring di—!"

"Glynda!" Ozpin stopped his second-in-command from saying something cursing out loud.

"Well, he does." Glynda said.

Despite the tensions in the air, Ozpin does understand Glynda's anger of the idea and turn his head to James.

"She's right. As much as I too would love to end this situation once and for all, we must remember that this may go beyond Vale. Beyond Beacon. And if this truly is part of some master plan for which we know not the final move, we mustn't be so bold. Nor can we risk the spread of panic." Ozpin pointed out the negative results.

"I have served you faithfully for years... but if you mean to tell me that your plan is to really hold the defenses and wait—!" James was about to say more, but Ozpin interrupts him.

"It is not! You're a general, James. So, tell me, when you prepare to go to war, which do you send in first? The flag bearers, or the scouts?" Ozpin asked, hoping James would think more calmly.

(Team RWBY's Room)

"Well, I'm glad Setsuna was with you, otherwise you might've mess things up." Weiss said, looking at her leader.

"Did you tell them about the woman you fought?" Rushuna asked her big sister.

"They said they'll try to look into someone with a Semblance that can melt things with their hands in extreme heat temperature." Setsuna answered.

"Heat base Semblance are something common some Huntsmen and Huntresses have; it may take time for them to find the person who snuck into the CCT tower." Jaune stated.

"I'm still having trouble with what kind of information this woman wanted." Pyrrha admitted.

"I'm sure whatever it is, cannot be good." Setsuna said with her eyes narrowed.

"That just makes me feel unwell." Ruby said, looking down in shame.

"I'm sure everything will be alright, Ruby. Oh, I know what will cheer you up!" Yang showed a package in her hand.

"What's that?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know yet. Dad sent it to us. I thought we could open it together!" Yang explained.

"Ooooh! Something from home!" Ruby excited and zoomed onto her big sister and reach for the package.

The package pop open and something came out falling onto the floor as the object appears to be something back and look little strangely furry, everyone looks down seeing the object wondering what Ruby and Yang's dad sent them.

Then the black object shakes for a second pops into a more shaping form of a dog as he looks around seeing everyone and when he barks, everyone is shocked while Yang and Ruby smile.

"Zwei!" Ruby shouted with joy.

"He sent a dog?!" Blake gasped.

"In the mail?!" Weiss shocked.

"Oh! Isn't he just the cutest little fury thing you have ever seen?!" Rushuna caught by the cuteness of the dog and plays with the face a little and the dog known as Zwei licks both Rushuna and Ruby's face.

"Oh, he does stuff like this all the time!" Yang smiled, glad to see her favorite dog in the world again.

"Your father, or the dog?" Blake asked as she is now on Ruby's bunkbed.

"What's wrong, Blake? Not a big dog fan?" Nora teased with a smirk.

"Maybe she ran away from a bunch of dogs who wanted to be friends with her." Setsuna joined in on the teasing, that made Blake glare at both of them.

"Are you telling me that this mangy... drooling... mutt is going to wiv wif us foweva? Oh, yes, he is, yes, he is! Oh, isn't he adorable!" Weiss suddenly changed to liking the dog when she was disliking the idea.

"The Ice Queen is actually smiling for the puppy! Someone calls a doctor!" Nora gasped.

"Shut it, you." Weiss glared.

"Never mind, she's fine." Nora sighed in relief.

"Please keep it away from my belongings." Blake said.

"Come on down, Blake. The puppy isn't going to hurt you, he wants to be your friend!" Rushuna held Zwei up to the bed to be closer to Blake.

"No, I prefer no snuggling with a dog!" Blake stated as she jumps to the other bunkbeds.

"Would all first-year students please report to the amphitheater?" Glynda asked over the speaker boxes.

"Alright, you first-year students need to get going for your first mission and better be ready for Ozpin's speech because it's going to be deep almost like how he did when you first came here." Setsuna warned.

"Right, we better make our way to the amphitheater." Jaune said.

"Wait! We can't exactly leave him here while "we're gone for the week." Weiss gestured to the dog who had just arrived here.

"Oh, you're right! What will he have to eat?" Rushuna asked as she help Zwei down from the bed.

"Look, there's a letter!" Yang pulled out a letter from the package.

"Dear girls, I've got to leave the island for a few days, so I'm sending Zwei to you to take care of. Enclosed is all the food you should need. Love you both, Taiyang." Yang read the letter out loud.

"But where is the food?" Ren asked.

Immediately after asking that, and bunch of canned dog foods came down from the package and piled onto Zwei. This completely shocked Team JNRRP and Setsuna with their eyes widen.

"Well, that settles it! Come on girls, Zwei will be here when we get back!" Yang smiled as she walks out of the room.

"Pyrrha, Rushuna, should we be questing that?" Jaune asked his two girlfriends, leaving the room as everyone else follows.

"I think it's best to just walk away and go with the flow." Pyrrha advised.

"Plus, now the dog won't have to worry about going hungry for an entire week!" Rushuna added.

"But how will the dog even open the cans?" Setsuuna wondered.

"You know, Ren, this reminds me of that time we met that street magician back in Mistral. When he somehow fit us inside his hat!" Nora recalled that time.

"It was a very close experience I'll never forget." Ren commented.

"Oh, I'll miss you so much, we're going to be best friends, I can't wait to see you." Weiss said in a cute tone to Zwei while tickling his chin before leaving the room with Blake in a hurry pace.

Ruby looks down at her family dog feeling sad that Zwei will have to spend the entire week alone in this room when he just got here to play with them, it's going to be very lonely and worried Zwei might not like all that loneness.

But then a crazy idea pops into Ruby's head that is going to save Zwei from being all alone here.

(Amphitheater)

Ruby arrives at the area seeing lots of students here as they are all looking forward to doing their first mission while others are looking nervous, she made her way to her team after dropping off her backpack with the other luggage.

"Quiet! Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin." Glynda informed before moving away from the mic and Ozpin walking up on the stage.

He looks at all the students for a second and made his speech.

"Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best." Ozpin encouraged and warned, ending his speech.

Each team soon scatters from each other and makes their way for the hologram boards to start selecting their first mission.

"This is perfect! All we have to do is shadow a Huntsman working in the southeast!" Ruby excited.

"Yeah! We'll follow them around by day and give them the slip by night!" Yang smirked.

"Let's check "search and destroy"!" Weiss suggested.

"Good luck finding your mission. We're gonna find the one about a village Ren and Nora wanted to go to." Jaune said before leaving.

"Do you think Team RWBY will be alright on their own?" Rushuna asked concern.

"Don't worry, those girls are the toughest bunch we ever know, and we have seen how strong they can be when they're together." Jaune pointed out.

"Jaune's right, let us have faith in Team RWBY when they go about on their own missions while we go for ours." Ren nodded.

"Oh, look! There's the mission about the village!" Nora pointed at one holographic mission board, and they went over to that board.

"Great, and it looks like we're gonna be shadowing a sheriff there. Oh, I wonder if we'll get badges like deputies?" Jaune asked excitedly.

"We can only hope so." Ren chuckled.

Jaune selected the mission putting his team's name and the mission has been approve making Nora jumps for joy, and right onto Jaune hugging his face between her breasts.

"Oh, sorry, got a little excited there." Nora apologized with a blushing smile.

"A-Anyway, we should go check if Team RWBY got their mission and ready to go!" Jaune walked away, blushing crazy of what just happened.

"Well, you seem to be jumpy with Jaune today." Ren teased with a grin.

But upon reaching Team RWBY, they also spotted Ozpin having a moment of a conversation with the girls and he leaves.

"I wonder what Ozpin was talking with them about?" Jaune asked curiously.

"That does seem a bit concerning, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Let us walk with them outside and have a moment together before we leave for our mission." Rushuna suggested smiling.
