It was the Fourth of July in 2016 and James and Lily were in Lily's room. Harry and Ginny had promised to take the kids to a fireworks show that night, but they had some time before they had to leave and Lily had asked James to help her with her first ever YouTube video.

When he had entered Lily's room, James saw that there was an open pack of starburst original fruits on Lily's bed with all of the pieces dumped onto the bed.

"We're going to make a candy review video for starburst original fruits on my YouTube channel, Lily Luna's World, " Lily informed James, "We'll review each flavor separately and then give the whole pack a holistic score."

"Fair enough, " said James simply.

"Hi, everyone, " said Lily pleasantly as they started recording their video, "Welcome to my channel, Lily Luna's World. My first video will be a review of starburst original fruits and I am pleased to be joined today by my favorite brother, James Sirius Potter, who will be reviewing the candy along with me."

"Hi, everyone, " said James kindly.

"So, " began Lily, "I think I should inform our viewers as a matter of interest that when it comes to non-chocolate candy, James prefers berry flavors and I prefer tropical and citrus flavors. The main exceptions to those general rules are that we are both big fans of orange and strawberry. Maybe that's not so surprising though. Orange and strawberry are usually considered the "core" candy flavors of non-chocolate candy."

"With that being as it is, " explained James, "Our expectations for the starburst original fruits pack is I will like Cherry better than Lily whereas she will like lemon better than me. We think we'll both like strawberry and orange quite a bit. "

"Let's start with cherry and get it out of the way, " said Lily in a businesslike voice.

"Okay, then, " said James cheerfully as he and Lily each picked up one of the red starbursts squares off of Lily's bed and unwrapped them.

James and Lily popped the cherry starbursts into their mouths and ate them. Afterward, James shook his head and Lily groaned.

"WAY too overpowering on the cherry flavoring, " said Lily squeamishly.

"I have to agree with you on that, Lily, " said James disappointedly, "I'd hoped the execution would be better. I'm a cherry fan, but cherry doesn't work as well if it's too overpowering. Honestly, this is a 4 out of 10 for me."

"As I don't even like cherry to begin with, for me this is a 1 out of 10 and it's not exactly a ringing endorsement that you only gave it a 4 since you usually like cherry, " added Lily.

"Well, maybe we'll have better luck with lemon, " said James proddingly.

Next nanosecond, James and Lily lifted the yellow starburst squares off of Lily's bed and removed the paper from them.

James and Lily lifted the lemon starburst squares into their mouths and upon the first bite they both smiled widely.

"That's loads better, " said James and Lily together.

"Yummy yummy, " beamed Lily, "The perfect blend of lemon flavor of the right intensity and juiciness. Well done, Starburst. 10 out of 10 from this lemon lover."

"Even for me this is a 9 out of 10 and I'm not normally a big lemon fan. That was really good. I rarely go higher than 7 even on good lemon candy but the lemon starburst was really satisfying, " said James glowingly.

"This might be the best lemon candy I've had, " smiled Lily, "Many fans of lemon candy vouch for lemonheads but they're too hard for my liking."

"Second verse vastly better than the first, " grinned James, "As a curiosity, since lemon is one of your favorite flavors, do you get bummed out if yellow candy is banana instead of lemon?"

"Not really, " said Lily matter of factly, "I don't mind banana. What DOES piss me off is how all the green candies that used to be lime are now green apple, notably Skittles and Spree."

"I was never a huge lime fan, " said James crisply, "But I'd rather have lime than green apple. I hate the sourness of green apple."

"True. " said Lily briskly, "Well, on to orange, "

James and Lily now retrieved the orange starburst squares from Lily's bed and opened them.

As the orange flavor hit their lips, James and Lily grinned again.

"Outstanding, " said James happily, "I suppose orange is a flavor it's hard to screw up, but gotta give credit where credit is due. The orange flavor is intense but in a more controlled way than the cherry. 10 out of 10."

"The orange flavor has just the right amount of bite to it, " observed Lily, "Not too strong, not to muted. Just in the right spot. A clear 10 out of 10."

There was only flavor left and James and Lily both had a great gut feeling about it.

Without even much about it, James and Lily eagerly dug into the strawberry starbursts.

"WOW!" Chorused James and Lily with their eyes glowing and their mouths watering.

"11 out of 10!" piped up James and Lily at the exact same nanosecond.

"Strawberry is the best! " declared James, "Tasty, intense, juicy. Starburst threw a touchdown pass with this flavor. Way better than O in N.E.W.T."

"Everything you said and then some, " added Lily, "Starburst hit a grand slam home run with this flavor. No unbiased person could doubt what the best starburst flavor is."

"Orange and Lemon were good enough that it isn't a blowout, " said James fairly, "This isn't Secretariat lapping the field in the 1973 Belmont Stakes."

"No, " agreed Lily, "I'd say the margin of victory is more like Point Given at the 2001 Belmont Stakes."

"Good one, Lily, " grinned James appreciatively, "But what would you give the starburst original fruits pack as a whole."

"8 out of 10, " said Lily fairly, "You do have to deduct a bit for the cherry since that is 25% of the pack."

"I have to agree with my favorite sibling on this one, " said James crisply, "As awesome as the lemon, orange, and strawberry were, an accurate score must also take the failings of cherry into account. I'll agree with you on 8 out of 10."

: A pack of starburst contains three of each flavor and we each ate one. There is one of each flavor left. There are four pieces and two of us."

"I'll take the cherry one, so you don't have to, " offered James instantly.

"Thank you, James, " said Lily with a kindly smile, "But since you've agreed to take the worst one, it's only fair you get to take the best one. The strawberry is all yours. I'll take the lemon and orange."

And with that, James and Lily ate the remaining candies.

And just in the nick of time too because Harry then called out, "Time to go."

James and Lily joined Harry, Ginny and Albus in enjoying a speculator Fourth of July fireworks show with some of the biggest, brightest, and loudest fireworks they had ever seen, most of which were red, white and blue.

And when they got home, James and Lily reviewed Lily's video and found to their delight numerous people in the comments section agreeing with strawberry being the best.

With that, James and Lily just grinned at each other.
