Danger! Zombiesaur: Z-Rex Appear!

(EARLIER)

Saura managed to break open Winter's snow dome using her newly discovered power and calming her down, stopping the blizzards. During that time, Suzy woke up and saw everything. She's glad that Saura calmed the young Cryolophosaurus down and stopping the blizzard from generating more snow.

"Suzy... Suzy... Can you hear me?"

Just as when Suzy would head to the two girls, a male voice echo in the female Deinonychus' head. She recognized that it's her wind guardian, Sleet!

"Master Sleet...! Yes, I can hear you!" Suzy replied.

"Thank goodness! I finally got through!" Sleet said in relief but then continued in an urgent voice. "Listen to me Suzy, you're all in danger! You have to get Saura and the others back to the Secret Garden immediately!

"What?! What happened?!"

After Sleet told his partner that after the blizzards stopped, he can now use his wind magic to telepathically call her more clearly. The danger he's referring to was that she's outside beyond the barrier that protects Dino Village from Zombiesaurs! Not only that, he sensed a sound of a Zombiesaur heading closer to her location!

"What?! A Zombiesaur...! You mean those monsters that you and the others told us about!"

"That's right! You don't have much time! I've already sent Dinon and Duna on your way right now. So in the meantime, protect the princess and the young ones and find a safe place until they get there!"

"Mom and Dad? Alright then, I'll protect Saura and the others until then!"

ROAR!

Just as their conversation ended, danger appear!

The sound of a deadly roar echo from somewhere alerting the young female Deinonychus and the appearance of a purple Zombiesaur Tyrannosaurus Rex appears!

"Oh no!"

Seeing the zombie T-Rex appear in sight, Suzy dash away and head straight to Saura as quickly as she can.

Back to Saura and her friends, Suzy managed to get to them and warn them just in time before Z-Rex could get closer.

The appearance of a Zombiesaur strike fear in the young ones eyes with its scary, foul purple body, blood red teeth and dead blue eyes. Saura knew that this purple T-Rex was bad news since she can tell by looking into the eyes, they're no signs of life in it. As for Miku and Blue, they hid themselves safely in Saura's dress's apron pockets.

"Ahh! Miss Suzy, what in the world is that?!" Winter cried.

"That's a Zombiesaur! A monster we told you about and trying to keep safe from!" Suzy answered.

Z-Rex caught sight of them and roar loudly as it run towards them.

"Ahhhh!"

"Ice Wall!"

As Saura scream, Winter used her snow magic and made an ice wall barrier, shielding her and the others.

The Zombie T-Rex strike with a headbutt, but thanks to Winter's quick thinking of using her magic to protect herself and her friends, it bounced back!

"Thanks Winter!" Saura thanked her friend.

"Y-you're welcome. I didn't know I could do that."

In truth, the Cryolophosaurus princess was surprised herself. She never knew she could use her powers that way since she never had any training. But ever since she came to Dino Village, meeting Saura, her magic going out of control and learning to accept herself and her powers, the magic in her are going in sync with her entire being like something has been unlock deep within.

As for Z-Rex recover, it started attacking again on the ice, trying to break it.

With every hit, the ice made a crack, fearing for the worst!

"No! The ice's starting to break! I can't hold it any longer!" Winter grunt.

CRASH

With one last headbutt from the zombie T-Rex, the ice wall crack into pieces, breaking the shield protecting them.

"Argh!" Winter fall down.

"Winter! Are you alright?" Saura said to her fallen Cryolophosaurus friend.

"Y-Yes, don't worry. I'm fine. Just exhausted."

ROAR!

The roaring from Z-Rex alerting the little dinos that it's about to attack again.

"Come on, Winter! Get up! We have to run!" Saura told Winter as she quickly got up and started running away from the zombie.

As Saura and Winter ran, Suzy got in front of Z-Rex with a brave look on her face.

"Until Mom and Dad arrives, I'll do what I can!" Suzy thought as she position herself and focus her wind power in her jaw and fire a powerful wind sonic blast attack at Z-Rex, causing damage as it took the attack as it wobble back and its legs fall apart from its body, seemingly dead.

"Yes, I hit it!" Suzy exclaim.

The children saw this and cheer for Suzy.

"Go, Lady Suzy!" Miku and Blue cheered.

"Wow!" Saura sigh in awe with Winter.

Somewhere hidden between the snow-covered trees, 2 adult Deinonychuses were watching the battle afold.

"Suzy's doing well. Right, Duna?"

"Yes, Dinon. She's growing up and improving her wind power."

"But, I feel this is only the beginning." Dinon narrow his eyes.

"What do you mean, dear?"

Just before they could celebrate further, the Zombiesaur T-Rex's legs started to move, attaching itself back to its body, shocking everyone!

After the leg body parts attach back itself together, Z-Rex got up and roar back loudly!

ROAR!

"No way!" Miku cried.

"It can come back to life?!" Blue exclaim.

"In that case, one more time!" Suzy fire another sonic blast at it.

But the result ended the same. Each time, Suzy attacks it, the Zombiesaur T-Rex's fallen body parts would put itself back together alive again.

"It can't be!" Suzy said.

"Even if it breaks apart, it just puts itself back together again!" Saura said.

"What should we do now?" Winter asked.

"E-Everybody run!!" Suzy shouted.

With that said, they started running away from the zombie as fast as possible. Suzy can't help but feel helpless at a time like this despite training hard to fight being a powerful Deinonychus under a guardian.

"Ah!"

Suddenly, Saura slip and fall down on the snowy ground, causing the dinosaurs to stop and help her up.

"Saura!" Her friends called out.

Saura tried to stand up but suddenly come she's face to face with Z-Rex, hovering over her with deadly look on its face.

"No! Help me!" Saura scream.

Z-Rex open its mouth and roar loudly as it prepare to attack her with a bite.

BOOM

Suddenly, a blast of fire strike the Z-Rex away saving Saura's life!

"W-What?" Saura blink in confusion as the smoke cleared away revealing a new dinosaur in front of her!

"You will not hurt her! I'll have you pay for injuring me from before!"

It's a theropod bigger and bit taller than Cryolophosaurus. From the sound of the voice, Saura felt familiarity with this dinosaur that saved her.

I've worked really hard on this battle but not quite close to the end yet, so I want to know your thoughts first. Please don't expect too much even if it's boring alright!

How do you like Z-Rex's Zombiesaur power of Resurrection? I know its power activates when it's life drops to zero and come back to life again in 3 turns in the Fossil Fighter game, but since this is not a game, I've added something closely or similar to resurrection by making their body parts join together in full again. Please tell me what you think!

Dinon and Duna are also characters from the Fossil Fighter game. I made them Suzy's parents in my story since they're Deinonychus species after all.

The next chapter will end the battle and what will be becoming of Z-Rex's fate.

Here's the small battle I've been working on but not close to the end yet. I hope it's acceptable enough. Their battle will continue on the next chapter.
