Kayama Mika was... panicking.
Then again, despite her unique friends and even more unique family, it sure took a lot for her to be baffled by a situation. And the rollercoaster she just experienced was pretty much that.
The Star Rain had occurred much to the delight of others and, as she had gone to look why Shingo was missing she had found one of the Star Drops that had landed on Earth.
A tiny little startlet that looked a bit shy but seemed enamoured by her whistling as she tried to 'communicate with it'. The little thing spoke through high-pitched noises that turned into purring as soon as it got within her arms.
Still, Mika had not stopped in her 'mission': find Shingo and lecture him for not keeping up the promise. Luckily so, the boy was soon crash-landing near to where she had found the Star Drop. He was donning his Moon Knight outfit as he was fighting a kid around their age, yet this new face had white hair and red eyes, smiling angrily and yet giddily.
"Shin-kun!"
Shock took over Shingo as he looked at her briefly and then resumed the fight with his... foe? Were they sparring? It sure didn't look like that. Squeezing at the Star Drop in a more tighter and protective manner, Mika felt something deep stirring within her.
While she could accept Moon Knight, her favorite hero, fighting monsters... it felt odd for him to face off against someone so 'normal' in sight. Maybe he was misunderstood, or... or there was more to it.
Still, that didn't make her any less happy: Shingo should have rushed to see the Star Rain and yet- yet he was there. Fighting. Getting hurt. In front of her.
A bitter feeling spread over her chest and, as if driven by a strong upset force within her... Mika shouted at them both.
"STOP FIGHTING!"
This is where things went very weird. One moment it was night and she felt sleepy, a few blinding seconds later Mika was kneeling in a garden as grass and flowers were spread all around and... it was day. Early morning from the way the sun had started its rise to the sky.
But what truly baffled her was... Shingo and that other boy were on the ground, unconscious and suddenly tired. She was suddenly worried as she rushed up to her best friend, terror swelling within her heart as she crouched beside him.
She tried to find anything wrong with him but it was just like he had gone forcefully to sleep. The entire situation... it all felt connected to her words. It was like a wish coming true and-
The Star Drop was shuddering.
"H-Hey, are you... are you alright?"
A soft noise coming, like a tiny lament or a whine. It was the emotion behind it that Mika understood, unease and upset. A mistake- regret.
"I-It's alright, I am not mad at you... it's my fault too."
She was the one that yelled, the one that possibly frightened the Star Drop to act this way. Mika was feeling genuinely regretful for overreacting at the sight of Shingo fighting with someone, forgetting that he was such a nice friend and he would never hurt someone without reason.
The Star Drop appeared to calm down at hearing this, even more as Mika softly rubbed her palm over its head.
"You know... I never asked- do you have a name?"
A confused whine came back and Mika hummed. "You don't have one...?"
An affirmative noise left her to think about it. Should she name the Star Drop? After all, it was a living thing without a doubt but... was it a boy or a girl? She couldn't just pick a name without thinking about it and- And yet a silly idea came up, one that could work both ways..
"Siri. Like Sirius but it's a name that can be used for both boys and girls. Do you like it as your name?"
The Star Drop whined happily, rubbing giddily against her chest and tickling her a bit. Mika giggled and then smiled at the reaction.
"Well, nice to meet you, Siri. I am Mika. This here is Shingo and that over there is..."
Mika paused, not knowing the white-haired boy's name and... remembering that she didn't know a lot of things as of now. She didn't know where she was, why it was morning and why she felt like this wasn't Tokyo. In fact, these trees felt familiar to her as she had seen them when she went in a holiday trip with her Mama to...
Okinawa.
"Hm, Siri?"
"Sweee~?"
"Where are we?"
She looked down and saw the Star Drop quietly mumbling and yet sounding as confused as she was. Standing up, Mika decided to look around the edges of the clearing, hoping to find something that could tell her where they were right now.
Any signboard, any distant billboard- a building even. But as the brunette wandered around and looked for anything that could give her the chance to help the unconscious boys, she was given quite a fright when-
"HELLO~!"
"Kyaah~!" Mika jumped back, almost tripping on herself as she found her sight suddenly filled by a girl.
Slightly older than her, with pink hair pulled in short twintails and... pretty pink eyes.
"Ah, sorry! I didn't mean to frighten you-"
"You should have been a bit more careful, Hikaru-chan," A new voice called out mid-apology, and Mika turned to see another girl, around the same age as the pinkette, emerge from the very bush the first one came from.
This one had short acquamarine hair with a similar shade of hair, but she was... different. Mika could sense it, but she could also see it through the bluette's pointy ears and unusual 'thin antennas with two golden spheres at their tips'.
"S-sorry, I thought that we were going to find aliens."
...Heh?
Mika was still recoiling from the overall situation, and she barely noticed Siri's struggling in her hold until it broke free from her arms and floated upward... to meet with a strange bipedal creature floating between the two new faces.
It had a similar shade of yellow as Siri and... was that another Star Drop?
"Heh, UMA-chan."
...Uma?
Mika had no clue on what kind of name that was, but she could tell these two were merely studying each other and- then they started to nuzzle up.
"UMA-chan made a friend!" A third voice squeaked, this time Mika had to look upward and lose her mind over the most adorable thing ever.
The little floating critter looked like a baby unicorn, with white fur all over, a large drill-like horn coming from her forehead, pink wings coming from her upper back, her mane being half-a-rainbow in shades of color, her tail was also white with a yellow star at the end of it, pink stars by the cheeks, and she had some of the cutest blue eyes yet!
Mika held back a squeak, but the half-noise still drew the attention of the rest of the group.
"Oh, I should still apologize. I didn't mean to frighten you," The pinkette spoke up once more, then smiled. "My name is Hoshina Hikaru, this here is Hagoromo Lala-chan, this little one is Fuwa-chan and that over here is UMA-chan."
While Mika wasn't sure if this was the right situation to be too honest, she knew that these three looked reliable enough to give them her trust.
"K-Kayama Mika. The Star Drop is Siri. Nice to meet you, Hikaru-nee, Lala-nee and Fuwa-chan."
The bluette looked flustered as she mouthed 'Lala-nee' with a hint of awkwardness.
"Nice to meet you too, Mika-chan. Still, it's kind of Twincool to meet you and... the friend behind you?"
Mika glanced over her shoulder, a smile on her face as she thought it would have been Shingo but-
It was the other boy.
He started to walk towards them, looking annoyed and... right at her.
"What happened?" His question was sharp, and he didn't look friendly at all.
Tensing up, Mika instantly moved behind the two girls, causing both to get alarmed at the move.
"H-He is not a friend."
That was enough to put the two older girls in a tense stance against the hooded boy.
"Hm, I suppose you two are not regular humans, but even with your power you can't match someone like me, for I am Kuroto Bla-ckaaagh!"
Mika's wide eyes shifted to a frown as soon as she saw the dangerous boy suddenly stumble and crash on the ground with his face. Growling, the boy turned to see the source of his tripping and he froze up as Mika saw what happened.
"I am awake," Tsukino Shingo proclaimed flatly as he still lied on the ground, his head turned and his eyes glaring at his opponent. "And I suggest you calm down, Kuroto."
"W-Why would I-"
"We are stranded. This is not our Japan."
...What?!
AN
First contact! Next time, Shingo fully unravels how different this Japan is, especially since he can tell that one of the Precures is actually this dimension's version of his sister. Also... prepare yourself for some Twincool~ wholesome moments. After all, MCs do need to 'relate' to each other to some extent.
