Two years ago,
Danny walked down the hall, still trying to understand what happened yesterday. Dash just left him with nothing and those two girls treated him. They were nice, but he was unsure of what they wanted. He reaches for his locker, only for Dash to push him against it.
"Well, Fenton, you know what I need. Fork it over." He said, smirking.
Danny didn't even argue as he handed over his lunch money.
"Not that, Fenton," Dash said, surprising him.
"Dash, I couldn't do it remember? You had me spend all day with you. I couldn't work on it." Danny told him.
"Don't care. I told you to have it done before the test." Dash said, glaring.
"And for that...I think I know just the punishment to give you." He added, smirking.
"Put him down, Baxter."
Both boys turned and saw Charlie and Emily standing close by. Both of them were glaring at Dash.
"Charlie? Emily?" Danny asked, surprised.
"Hey, girls," Dash said, dropping Danny.
"Beat it, Baxter!" Charlie said, looking ready to deck him.
Emily walked past him before she offered Danny her hand. A bit scared, Danny took it as she helped him to his feet.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Dash asked, seeing it.
"Helping him up. What does it look like?" Emily told him.
"Don't think we don't know what you've been doing to Danny. He's not your slave, Baxter." Charlie said, walking past him.
"Are you okay?" She asked, Danny.
"Y-Yeah. I'm...fine." Danny said, still unsure.
"Relaxed. Take a breath." Emily said, helping him take some breathing lessons.
"Why are you helping him?! He's a freak!" Dash shouted, lost.
"We're helping him because we want to," Charlie said.
"And because it's the right thing to do," Emily added.
"Why him?!" Dash asked.
"BECAUSE HE'S MORE THAN WHAT HE IS!" The Girls shouted.
"He's not some slave you can always use, Baxter!" Charlie shouted.
"He's a person and he has a life. You have no right to take that away!" Emily added as the two girls stood side-by-side.
"SO, LEAVE HIM ALONE!" They shouted, their combined voices knocking Dash off his feet.
With that, they lean Danny away from him. Danny just looked at the girls, confused.
"Why?" He asked.
"Why" what?" Charlie asked.
"Why are you helping me?" Danny asked them.
"Because we want to," Charlie repeated.
"And because it's the right thing to do," Emily also repeated.
"I..." Danny tried to say before both girls hugged him.
"Look, Daniel, it doesn't matter what others say about you, we're helping you because you need it," Emily said.
"Plus, if this keeps up, you may fall down a dark road. Neither me nor Emily wants to see that to anybody." Charlie added.
Danny looks away, still unsure of what to think. They notice his fear before sighing.
"Danny, you don't have to listen to Dash. He's not in charge of your life." Charlie said.
"You are your own person. You control your own life." Emily said.
"I...I..." Danny tried to say.
"Hey, how about you come over to my place after school? I can show you what my family is like." Charlie said, shocking him.
"You would invite me to your place?" He asked, not believing it.
"Whatever that moron told you, ignore it. I can invite anyone I want. And I don't care if they are rich or not. My dad and I don't care about the money we make. We have each other and that's enough." Charlie said, surprising Danny.
"It's the same with me. I don't care if you're rich or not, Daniel. You need friends that can help you." Emily added.
"F-F-Friends?" Dany shuttered.
"Yeah. Friends. We like to be your friends." Charlie said, smiling.
"I..." Danny tried to say.
'They want to be my friends?! Why? Do they want something in return?' He thought.
"Danny, we don't want anything from you. Well, not completely true." Charlie said, guessing what he was thinking.
"What we do want is your friendship and trust. We understand that it will take a while, but we're not going to force you to do anything." Emily said.
"I..."
Danny was speechless. These two girls were too nice and he couldn't stop thinking they were after something. Charlie and Emily noticed and sighed. Dash did a lot more than they thought.
"Look, Danny, just give us a chance. We promise we have no tricks waiting for you or this some plan to embarrass you. We're not those kinds of girls." Charlie said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Danny still looked unsure but nodded.
"Daniel, if you don't want to, then it's okay for you to say no," Emily said, knowing why he was agreeing.
"I...I do want to come over. I...never been invited to another person's house before." Danny explains.
Charlie and Emily looked at each other, wondering how long it would take for Danny to get over Dash's way.
After school,
Danny followed the girls towards Charlie's house, though he was shocked to find it a mansion with apples on it.
"My dad loves apples. He calls me his little apple as well." Charlie explains before letting the two enter her home.
"Dad! I'm home!" She called out.
The lights suddenly turned off as a spotlight appeared on the top of the stairs, showing a man dressed ling a ringerleader. He smiled as he saw Charlie.
"Welcome home, Charlie!" He said before sliding down the rail.
"How was school?" He asked.
"It was great." Charlie smiled as she hugged him.
"Hello, Mr. Morningstar," Emily said, stepping up.
"Emmy! Good to see you!" Lucifer smiles, hugging her.
He then spotted Danny, who looked unsure about him.
"Oh? Is this the boy you told me about yesterday?" He asked, looking at Charlie.
"Yeah. This is Danny." Charlie said, nodding.
"Well, nice to meet you, Danny." He said, holding out his hand.
"You too, Mr. Morningstar?" Danny said, still looking scared.
"Hmm, it's really deep in him," Lucifer said, getting a close look.
Danny flinched away, hoping he wouldn't hurt him.
"Calm down, son. I won't bite." Lucifer said, smiling.
Charlie stepped forward, placing a hand on Danny's shoulder again.
"Don't worry, my dad is a nice guy. Just don't get him mad." She said.
"Um, Charlie? I don't think that will help." Emily said.
Lucifer smiles before patting Danny on the back. He could tell that this boy had a long road of recovery on him. And he was going to help him in his own way.
Okay, one last detour chapter before I get to Bitter Reunions and start adding more characters from Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. I thought I covered a bit more about the three before they gained their powers and how different Danny was compared to what we see now.
As you can see, Danny is nothing like he was when I first started this story. He was always scared of going against others, and he even had a hard time trusting Charlie and Emily. But as it shows, Charlie and Emily told their reason of why they are helping him. And Danny started on the road to becoming the person he's known as today.
Also, I would like to thank Anti-Mage 29 for clearing up about the Von Eldritch family. However, since I made it this way, it will stay as it is. As I said, they haven't had much of a speaking role in the show. So, I don't not a lot about them. Plus, When I tried to look up the ideas of who Leviathan is, I mostly see the images of the Von Eldritch family take up that role since the real Leviathan hasn't been made yet.
