Hell,
"Can't those idiots do anything RIGHT?"
Vox, an overlord with a TV for a head, pounds the table with his fist after seeing some demons they send get caught before leaving Hell. He, Valentino, and Velvet have been trying to get to Earth to get the apple from Lucifer. However, they never make it or get caught each time they send someone.
"How can we get that apple if everyone we send is a fucking idiot!" Vox said, getting annoyed by the number of failures.
"And it's not the Trinty that's stopping us!" He added, yelling.
"Have you ever thought about sending better men?" Valentino asked, bored.
Vox glares at his fellow overlord, still upset by the failures.
"I don't see you coming up with anything "Mr. I have a top star"!" He yelled.
"Vox, will you just turn yourself off? I'm starting to think that Alastor is right about you." Valentino said, getting annoyed.
"YOU TAKE THAT BACK!" Vox shouted, jumping at him.
The two overlords rolled around the floor, shouting and cursing each other out. But they didn't know that Velvet had returned and recorded the fight.
"Come on, Vox, pull his fake hair out. Valentino, crack his face!" She said, shocking the two.
"Velvet! Where have you been?" Vox shouted, pushing Valentino off him.
"Just check up on my little puppet," Velvet said, sending the video, along with a text.
"Overlords or Over babies?"
She got hits from those that weren't working for allies.
"Anyways, can't you just take the apple since you go up there?" Vox asked.
"No can do, Vox. The princess already has it." Velvet told him, sighing.
"WHAT?!" The two overlords shouted, shocked.
"HOW?! She's not even 18!" Vox shouted, his face turning into a man screaming.
"From what I heard, she found it before her 18th birthday. So taking it will bit trickier." She said, scrolling through her phone.
"So what do we do now?" Valentino asked.
The Vees had no idea what to do. Stealing the apple is even trickier now that the princess has it. Even if they could corner her, there were two other problems. The other two members of the Trinty, and even Alastor himself. Velvet was able to stay hidden so far, but she knew she couldn't stick around for long before he found her.
She then saw a text appear on her phone. It was a summoning to an Overlord Meeting.
"This is a surprise," Velvet said, making the other two look over her shoulder.
"An Overlord meeting? Did we have one last year?" Vox asked.
"Said here that the old fossil is calling for us. And it's non-disagreeable." She said, groaning.
They sighed. Whatever the rest is, they might as well go and see what's was up.
Heaven,
"WHAT?!"
Adam glares at Michael, who turns down his request to kill the Trinity.
"I already told you, Adam. It won't change a thing. And you know very well what would happen if Lucifer learned you killed his daughter." Michael said, sighing.
"He's no longer part of heaven! Even his offspring isn't an angel!" Adam shouted.
"Adam..." Michael said, glaring.
Yes, Lucifer was kicked out, but that didn't mean Michael stopped watching over Lucifer. They did make a promise when they were young angels, and he was going to keep it.
"Do you really think we should leave them alive for so long!? The more they learn about their powers, the stronger they'll become! We have to stop them!" Adam yelled.
"And I told you no. They have been using their powers to help mankind. Your so-called children that are going down to Hell even with all the good they do." Michael said, glaring again.
"What is wrong with you, Michael?! What happened to the angel that beat Lucifer and threw him from the heavens? What happened to the angel who didn't care about demons? And the angel that welcomes both me and Eve into Heaven?" Adam asked.
"Eve left because of you, Adam! Just like Lilith! Father made them so you wouldn't be alone. But you took advantage of the gift and mistreated both of them. And I don't care if you're the first human! You were already bad before you ate that apple! And my brother had nothing to do with that!" Michael told him.
"Wait, I get it..." Adam said, figuring it out.
"What?" Michael asked.
"This is about Lucifer's offspring, isn't it?" Adam asked, making Michael glare.
"You're protecting her! You're protecting a demon! Have you gone mad?!" Adam shouted as Micahel did his best to keep his anger in check.
"This has already been about her! You see her as family!" Adam said, shaking his head.
"She's my niece, Adam. Like it or not, she's a Morningstar, therefore she's a member of this family." Michael said, with many of his sisters agreeing with them.
"What about the rest of you?!" Adam shouted at the male archangels.
"Michael brings up a point. If we were to kill her, then we would be killing our family. She may be a demon, but she's also part of our family." Uriel said.
"You can't be fucking serious!" Adam shouted, grabbing his head.
"Adam, you know very well that kind of tone is not welcome here." One of the female angels.
"Bite me! I can't believe you would throw away your morals for just one worthless girl! A girl that's not even awhile she's not human! Have you lost your minds and started to break God's rules?!" Adam shouted, only for a giant claw to grab his face.
It belongs to none other than Michael. He was still in his humanoid form, but his hand looked very much like a giant eagle claw.
"We are not breaking God's rules. Charlotte Morningstar, Emily Seraphim, and Daniel Fenton are innocent. We will not allow you to attack them. So, you will drop the subject and NEVER ask us to kill children." He warned him.
Michael released him before having two angels remove him from the room. Michael sighed as his sister, Jophiel, stepped up to him.
"This is so unlike you, Michael. You care about our niece now." She said.
"I know what I said in the past, but at the same time, I was thinking she was going to take after our brother. But I was quite surprised to see how much of a father he was being to young Charlie. As time went by, she didn't show any of Lucifer's traits of lying and trickery. She took more after her mother and still loved her father." Michael said, still recalling the day he saw Charlie.
It was back when Charlie was 10 years old. Charlie helped a young Emily deal with another who was making fun of her. At first, he thought she would turn around and do the same, but was shocked to help and befriend the girl. he was shocked again when she helped Daniel 2 years ago.
"Charlie is growing along with her powers. I may question the choice of the person that the Queen of Hell sent, but I know she can master her powers and prove to everyone that she's not like most demons." Jophiel said.
"Agreed, sister," Michael said, nodding.
With that, the archangels went their ways. Michael remains in the room, sighing to himself.
"Father, please watch over the children and make sure they never fall from the side of the light. Amen."
Adm growls as he walks through the halls. Fuck, Michael! He was going to stop the Trinity before they got too powerful.
"Sir?"
He looked up and saw his two top angels, Lute and Vagatha waiting for him.
"Ah, good." He said, smirking.
"So, what's the word?" Lute asked.
"They refused." He said, shocking Lute.
Vaggie hid her relief. The last thing she wanted was for Charlie to get caught up in all this. Plus, she was starting to like Emily and Danny a bit more.
"But fuck that! We're going down anyways." Adam said, shocking her.
"Um, Sir? How can we do that? You know they will notice we are gone." Vaggie asked.
Adam looked at her before thinking.
"You have been doing a great job on spying on the Trinity." He said, making Vaggie hide her disgust.
Adam thought she was playing with Charlie's feelings. Wearing her down so she could finish her off when her guard was down. But what Adam didn't know was that her feelings for Charlie were real. And she trusted Danny and Emily over them.
"So, just tell them that..." Adam started.
"So she could lie to us and give you a chance to kill them?" Azrael said, stepping up.
All three of them frozen at the sight of the Angel of Death. Even Adam refuses to talk back to him.
"Michael gave you his answer, Adam. And their death will not be at your hands." Azrael said before looking at Vaggie.
"You may return to your post on Earth." He told her, knowing why Adam was keeping her here.
"T-thank you, sir!" Vaggie said, getting ready to leave.
"HEY! She's my angel..." Adam started, only to flinch back at the graze Azrael was giving him.
"As for you, Adam." He said in a soft tone.
All three of them grew fearful at that.
"Return to your quarters." He said, walking past them.
He then stopped next to Vaggie before smiling at her. He then moves on, shocking her.
Azreal kept walking until he stopped. He knew he wasn't alone and waited for his guest.
"You know I can sense you there, old friend." He said.
A portal opened and a ghost with a clock theme floated through.
"Still as sharp as ever, old friend."
The two beings gave a small bow to each other before Azrael spoke first.
"How's Eve?" He asked.
"Much happier now that she's no longer with Adam. She has been waiting to talk to Lilith. She feels they can relate after both of them broke away from their "Asshole of a husband." Her words, not mine." Clockwork smirks.
Azrael shook his head. Like many other angels, he didn't like that Adam didn't change his tune when he entered heaven. And now he was planning on killing children because of the legend that was told.
"Azreal, the time will come for the three to learn the truth. And when it does, you and Michael must be ready for the aftermath." Clockwork told him.
"We know. And we will be ready." He said, smiling at him.
"You may be the master of time, but we angels have our own ways of seeing things." He said, making Clockwork smile.
"I know. Then again, I know everything." He said before leaving.
"Smartass." Azrael chuckles.
And here's a chapter! I was taking a break before I had trouble covering what to do next. I decide to bring in some more characters. So, the Vees are still planning to get their henchmen to Earth, but they kept getting caught before even making it out of Hell. Velvet is the only Overlord, besides Alastor, to make it out of Hell. They are planning to steal the apple for themselves, but it seems they have changed their plans.
Meanwhile, in heaven, Adam is trying to stop the Trinity from growing too powerful, only for Michael and other archangels to turn him down. Even if not all Archangels like Charlie, they know very well that she's Lucifer's daughter and the last thing they want to do is pissed him off by killing her. And, though I didn't mention it, it was the same for Sera too.
Adam tried to go behind their backs but was stopped by none other than the angel of death himself. Since Azrael is feared among the three, they refuse to go against his will. He does approve of Vaggie's relationship with Charlie, however. And it turns out Azrael is friends with Clockwork.
Okay, I think I'm ready to get back with the main heroes in the next chapter. And I'm thinking it's time for me to bring in the bodyguards of Charlie. And don't worry, eecobeo, I would still like to see your idea with them.
