HAPPY EASTERT !

Laurel 2011

This first Saturday in September was a wonderful day, mostly sunny, warm and only a few clouds in the sky. Anakin had been spending so much time grilling lately that he had become so something like a grill master and was taking it very seriously. Padmé laughed at that, but was glad that she didn't have to do it, and she had help. Mrs. Summers did the shopping and was back to support Padmé. She prepared everything and put it in the fridge before saying goodbye. Padmé dealt with Luke and Leia. The Skywalkers were happy to have Mrs. Summers. She was a woman in her fifties and experienced in housekeeping.

At 1:00 p.m. sharp, a cherry-red colored BMW pulled up to the garage. Padmé and Anakin looked out the living room window.

"Who's first, what do you think?"

"Ben maybe…?"

…and then the driver got out, it was Ben. He went to the other side and opened the door. Sabé got out… with countless gift bags."

"WOW, Angel, that's a good sign, don't you think?"

"YES!" They looked at each other and raised their hands to give-me-five..

Then they went to the front door to greet the friends and pretended to be surprised. Everyone went to the terrace where everything was already prepared for lunch, even Luke and Leia were there, lying in their baby car seats and laughing at everyone who came to them.

"Such sweet little angels…look what aunt Sabé brought for you."

…and then the unwrapping of the presents began; Rompers, jackets and numerous stuffed animals. Ben also brought two large teddy bears from Steiff.

"I think the children's room is getting too small if this continues, and I'm afraid you'll totally spoil my children when they get bigger." Padmé protested.

"That's what I plan to do." Sabé laughed.

"That's exactly what I'll do with your children when the time comes." And Padmé looked at Ben.

Anakin listened to the conversation, laughed and played grill master perfectly. When the meat and corn on the cob were finished cooking, Padmé brought three different salads that Mrs. Summers had made and ice-cold drinks from the fridge, as well as wine for Sabé and Ben.

"You still don't drink, Anakin?" Ben asked.

"No, as long as Padmé can't, I won't do that either."

The meat Anakin prepared was delicious, as was everything else, and it received much praise. After dessert, Padmé said: "Luke should get his tea ,, Sabé, can you take care of that? I'll make you and Ben an espresso."

Sabé took Luke, pressed him against her, kissed his head and then gave him the bottle of tea. Ben watched her closely.

"A baby like that, suits you, Sabé."

"Maybe it would look good on you too if you…dared."

Anakin winked at Padmé, who was coming onto the terrace with espresso cups. The rest of the afternoon was spent in light conversation about everything, Sabé and Ben regretting that their friends can't go out now. As they said goodbye, Padmé said,

"You can't race with one car."

"But you can do something different...uh, what's the status now...as an update for the best friends." Anakin wanted to know.

"We'll sleep together again, if that's what you wanted to know." Ben said after some hesitation.

"Oh, hopefully it will turn into more...I mean, than just sleep." Then everyone laughed.

Sabé and Ben got into the car and drove away. Padmé and Anakin, with their children in their arms, stood there until the friends turned the corner, and they could no longer see them, then they went inside.

"What do you think will come of it? Sabé told me that she wants him so much...I don't know, it seems to me like she's in love."

"I hope he has come to his senses…after that disaster….what he brought last time. I couldn't find the words, not even to ask him to end this relationship, or whatever it was, as soon as possible."

Around seven, they bathed Luke and Leia and at eight, Padmé sat nursing her babies. They were now fed every four hours, so the parents had more time. They cleaned up together and then Padmé spread the milk for the next shift at midnight, which Anakin will take over. She took a quick shower and went to bed. Anakin came to kiss her goodnight.

"Ani, could you imagine, I mean could we…..are you in the mood?"

"Oh !? Yes, my Angel, give me five minutes."

"I'm waiting." She winked.

She knew she had to initiate it at some point. If it hurts a lot, she will tell him. He came out of the bathroom with his hair still damp and he smelled good, like Antaeus. He reached into the drawer of his bedside table and took out a condom, he lay down next to her and started kissing her tenderly, like always. Kissing her breasts, he didn't knead or suck on them, they were sensitive. She straddled him and rubbed herself against his hardness.

"I missed this so much, Angel. How do you want it, we do."

"I stay on top of you like this."

"Good, I still have to put a condom on."

He did that quickly and she lifted herself up a little so she could sit on his length. She was ready, but when his head entered, she tensed and stopped.

"Does it hurt?" he whispered.

"Yes."

"You're tense…out of fear. We make something else. Lie on your back, I'll come on top."

She did as he said, he kissed her a few times and she put her arms around his neck, pulling him down towards her. He took his length in his hand and rubbed at her entrance.

"Is it that pleasant?" she nodded "...and now relax, relax Angel, I'll do it very slowly, OK. " He whispered in her ear to calm her down.

She relaxed and felt his tip at her entrance. Stay relaxed, stay relaxed, she kept telling herself...and then she felt him slowly slide into her. The pain wasn't there as she had feared. When the whole length was in, he smiled down at her...

"Does it hurt, Angel?"

"Not so much."

"Fine….just take it easy."

He moved slowly, not thrusting but filling her with his entire length. It was different from usual but a fantastic feeling... and then at one point she felt her orgasm coming, fast and intense... Ani.. Anakin made a few quick movements that she hadn't noticed during her burning orgasm, and then it was he too at his own high point...

"Oh God, Padmé..." he kissed her face, her hair, pressed her against him. After a long time, it was as beautiful as before. "It was wonderful, I love you so much, Padmé."

"I was scared, you know, but it wasn't that bad, just a little at the beginning. Once I relaxed, it didn't hurt anymore."

"If it had hurt you, I wouldn't have continued."

"And if I act so snivelling, you'll go somewhere else…."

"Never. Now that I know what making love feels like, I don't need sex like I used to. Only you give me this feeling during sex that I never felt before."

"I also felt this feeling for the first time with you, it is so different from everything else, and it is ours. I love you, Ani."

He discarded the condom, came back, lay down next to her, kissed and caressed her until she fell asleep, then he got up contentedly, put on his pants and went downstairs to prepare the bottles. Around midnight, he was in the nursery, Luke was still asleep, but Leia was awake waiting for him. He smiled at her, took her out of the crib, laid her against his bare chest and gave her the bottle. A feeling like no other in the world.

The whole of September was warm like August, only the nights were cooler. Padmé spent a lot of time with the kids on the patio and whenever Anakin got home from work, except when he went to the gym, the meat was waiting to be put on the grill. Mrs. Summers still did all the errands and household chores, Padmé had time for the children and more and more for herself. They ate a lot of grilled meat and salads, very little sweets. Padmé had lost weight and was thinking about starting training at the gym again, even playing tennis. So, she started at Wald Lake Tennis Club in Columbia, not far, like 11 miles. She always played on weekends, so Anakin could come with Luke and Leia and once again all the women there had their eyes on the young father. He didn't seem to notice and walked proudly with Leia in his arms while pushing the sleeping Luke in the stroller. Every time she finished training, he put Leia in the stroller, hugged and kissed his wife, it didn't bother him that she was all sweaty.

When it got cooler in October she played indoors, Forty West Tennis Club Baltimore. It was nineteen miles but she wanted to play and Anakin was always there with the children. At the club they met some of Anakin's colleagues, including Dr. Wilson, who was always very nice to Padmé, of course, she was his boss's wife...but Anakin saw something there, something what didn't exist, felt a bit of jealousy.

"Do you find Dr. Wilson so nice?"

"Yeah, he's nice, why?"

"He's far too nice, I think….oh, forget it."

"No, no, we won't forget that. If something is bothering you, we need to talk about it, not let things fester. Anakin ! "You're not jealous because we're nice to each other."

"No...it's just...I'm his boss and..."

"Anakin, that's precisely why I can't be rude to him. Jealousy is absurd, for me, there is only you and our children. Nothing and no one come between us, ever."

"Yes. I overreacted, sorry."

He pulled himself together and, on closer inspection, they were just pleasantries, or did Dr. Wilson earn points for being nice to his wife.

At the end of October, Padmé had less and less milk and had to supplement. Within a week, the little milk she had dried up and the children had to be switched to baby food. They already had their first porridge. Then the time came for them to sleep through the night. The parents' lives returned to normal; they were also able to sleep all night and were no longer chronically tired.

Thursday, November 24th, it was the first Thanksgiving Day that Padmé didn't spend with her family. The twins were still babys, Anakin was on call on Friday and they were going to spend a whole week in Boston for Christmas, so it wasn't that bad.

Mrs. Summers ran all the errands again and Padmé prepared everything herself for Thanksgiving dinner, a little bit of everything for Anakin and herself.

"You do it just as well as your mother. It was a nice evening, just us, our little family... although Luke and Leia haven't been able to sit at the table and eat yet, but maybe next year if we don't go to your parents."

"You know I have an obligation to celebrate this day with my family as long as they are alive, but there will always be exceptions, like now."

"Yes, but I'm looking forward to Christmas with your family."

So, winter had long since set in, mid-December was cold in Boston and the weather forecast for Christmas said it would be no more than 20°F. They were a little worried and wondered if it was wise to plan this trip with their babies. It was a risk, after all.
