Chapter 7: The Coldness of Blizzard Town! Glacienne Hailwind, The Arrogant Wielder of Ice! Frigid Fight In The Icy Tundra!
Lucy's POV
After Minerva and I were finished with taking a cold shower together, we both felt like just putting on our bras and panties. Not wearing much clothing in the cold bathroom of the Seductive Witch guild didn't really matter to us, since our clothes had been damaged earlier during our interactions with Phoebe. Even though Phoebe ruined our outfits, Minerva and I were at least feeling glad that we could go out into the guildhall and retrieve our bag of jewels. We both put a hand on the bag while ignoring that we made the bag get cold and wet, and we both softly smiled at each other in this moment of wanting to move on to our next adventure.
Our next adventure involved the job that I managed to take from the request board while being right behind Phoebe Hauntra's huge ass, and I recalled folding up the flyer to put it in my underwear before going into the shower. The shower's cold frost dampened the flyer, making it nearly be as dry as my underwear. Although, glancing up from my underwear to look at the flyer made me slightly frown at how Blizzard Town wouldn't be a dry place. That town was currently dealing with the vicious snowstorms that were being caused by one mage, and I would have to take them down while being by Minerva's side.
Minerva had a small smile of confidence appear on her face, as this did feel like a job that we could handle. We just endured an extremely frigid shower together where the water was cold like glacial ice, so my lips also formed a slightly confident smile at how this job wouldn't be too dangerous. In order to successfully complete dangerous tasks, confidence was one of the aspects that a mage really needed to have. Without having any confidence, feelings of doubt would just lead to people being unsuccessful at taking down enemies.
If Minerva and I truly wanted to take down that outlaw, then we would both have to feel very confident. Minerva started to have more confidence in her eyes while looking at me, almost like she thought that we would do very well together on this mission. The thought of doing well on this mission made me happily start to run out of the guildhall with Minerva and the bag of jewels behind me, but Minerva soon teleported in front of me for my body to lightly slam into her back. She turned around to smile at me in a sultry and dominant manner, not wanting me to forget that I needed to be obedient to her.
"Lucy, you'll look cute if you're wearing one of my winter coats." Minerva told me with a confident smile on her face, before her eyes seemed to become filled with the feeling of arrogance.
That caused me to ask her with a calm facial expression while we walked out of the guild, my eyes displaying some curiosity, "Minerva-sama, aren't I your inferior teammate who should wear clothing from low-end fashion brands?"
Minerva replied in a soft and icy whisper, putting a finger to my lips, "Lucy, you scrubbed several parts of my body when I asked you to. You're just as submissive as I sometimes am, so I can give you that little treat of wearing clothes from my closet."
The thought of wearing more clothes from Minerva's closet made my cheeks blush light pink, and I felt a bit flustered at the thought of wearing one of Minerva's coats. Not only would her coat probably be very elegant, but Minerva's coat being on my body felt very possessive. Minerva would be viewing me as her possession from that perspective, but seeing Minerva's dominant attitude start to come back much stronger than before made me smile in a happy manner as I blushed. Minerva may have wanted me to think we would be on equal level by wearing coats from her closet, but I felt that she would pick out my coat.
The coat that Minerva picked out for me would probably be just as beautiful as her coat, since it seemed like Minerva wanted us to fashionably compliment each other. Minerva would probably make us wear amethyst purple coats, since we both now had amethyst purple hair. Although, I felt happy at the thought of just wearing the coat over my lingerie. It would make my body feel much more relaxed, and the feeling of Minerva's coat against my large breasts would probably make me sigh happily. I sighed happily in actuality, causing Minerva to turn around and calmly smile at me.
Minerva's calm smile was followed by her cheeks blushing rose pink as she looked into my eyes, seeing that my eyes were filling up with feelings of admiration at the thought of wearing one of her stylish coats. Minerva started to have a satisfied smile on her face while a pleasant look entered her eyes, and she used one of her hands to gently touch my hair. I closed my eyes in a gentle manner, loving the feeling of Minerva's cold hand touching my hair. Minerva's cold and firm touch only made more warmth enter my heart, as I loved how she could be cold.
"Let's get our coats and enjoy the winter cold, Lucy." Minerva told me with a nice smile on her face, liking the sight of me blushing up at her.
I responded in a joyful manner, watching Minerva start to walk away from me, "Yes, Minerva-sama!"
Minerva proceeded to walk down the street at a fast pace while I followed her, and we ended up going down to the street where the perfume shop was located. There was a mauve purple building on that street while some clothes were in the heather purple display window, and Minerva went into that store with our bag of jewels. I followed Minerva into the store for us to see its lilac purple carpet, which went well with its eggplant purple walls. The eggplant purple counter had a dark witch with glossy and long eggplant purple hair behind it while she wore a heather purple T-shirt with orchid purple jeans, which looked as beautiful as an orchid purple coat that Minerva quickly picked out. She took that coat off of the jam purple coat rack, before taking a grape purple coat off of the rack.
The second coat that Minerva picked out looked just as elegant as the first one, prompting me to curiously wonder which coat would be mine. My eyes glanced at both of the coats to see that the mauve purple price tags informed Minerva and I that each coat would cost 60,000 jewels, which was the same price of that emerald green dress I bought for Minerva in the town of Matcha. Since she was buying coats of that seemingly-high end fashion brand, I nicely smiled at how Minerva and I did share similar tastes in fashion.
She tried on the grape purple coat after paying for it, allowing me to see that the coat had five boysenberry purple buttons going down the middle of it while its mauve purple fur that lined the neck of the coat seemed to feel very comfortable. There was also a pair of lines going up from the bottom forming a mauve purple flame underneath the abdomen of that dress, and I thought it looked beautiful on Minerva. Although, the sight of some grape purple flat shoes on a plain purple shoe rack made me feel like Minerva and I could afford to look slightly more fashionable before taking the train to Blizzard Town.
Three hours later, in the town of Blizzard... (Minerva's POV)
After Lucy and I took the train to the Blizzard Town, exiting from the train station allowed us to discover that we were in a town where the pale blue roads were being covered in snow and ice. Lucy tried to walk on some snow, only for her orchid purple high heels to nearly slip on the ice that had been underneath it. The ice had been light blue with an aura of that same shade of blue faintly emerging from it, which meant that the ice was made from Ice Magic. That caused me to sternly narrow my eyes, since a potent level of Ice Magic was our best chance of finding the outlaw in Blizzard Town.
Blizzard Town itself had been interesting to see, since snow heavily fell from the sky as my eyes could see that the street in front of me was where a light blue statue had been located. The statue featured a woman with her hair in a bob style while she wore a dress with two slits on its right side, and she also had two light blue rings surrounding her thighs. This woman was Yukiwara Aoi, according to the dark blue rectangular plaque that was on the statue's podium. Several people with blue hair were bowing down in front of the statue while their hands were engulfed in blue auras, almost like they were offering up their magical power to the statue.
Since I didn't wield Ice Magic, I had no interest in offering up my magic to that statue. Also, I rolled my eyes at it in a miffed manner from thinking that the townspeople were foolish for worshiping that statue as if it represented their goddess. Goddesses meant nothing to me, since I didn't believe in them, and the only thing I believed in right now was finding an area of the town that hadn't been so cold. I walked towards the left side of the street with Lucy by my side. We got to see that the trees had pale blue leaves on them while there were snow sculptures and ice sculptures being decorated with pale blue snowflakes.
Some of those pale blue snowflakes landed in my hands, only for them to suddenly get more frozen from the chilly air. The icy temperature of this town truly was abnormal, and I simply teleported all of the snowflakes into the sky. They ended up detonating in midair to create several pale blue blasts that were quite large, and I scoffed in annoyed manner at how those snowflakes were highly sensitive to my magic. However, I soon heard a girl scream in a startled manner as if she was sensitive to some falling chunks of ice that lightly exploded as they hit the ground. The girl who had long and azure blue hair flowing down to her hips wore azure blue snow boots, which complimented her cerulean blue winter coat that had a hexagonal light blue snowflake pattern on the middle of it.
"Welcome to the frigid town of Blizzard, tourists. Tourism involves the snowflakes being attractive, but you see how dangerous the Ice Magic has become in recent times." The girl calmly explained to me, her facial expression looking both stern and filled with sadness.
That caused me to respond with a calm facial expression, folding my arms as Lucy showed the flyer to the stranger, "We're not tourists, and we're mages from the Seductive Witch guild. We took the job of fighting an outlaw that's been making this town colder than usual, so just tell us where they are."
The girl replied in a somewhat terrified manner, her light blue eyes looking towards a road leading out of the town, "If you go into the Icicle Tundra, you'll find Glacienne Hailwind. She's a very strong wizard with Ice Magic, so we must let her take whatever she wants when she comes here!"
Lucy replied to the girl with a smile of confidence on her face, "Well, she won't be stealing from this town anymore!"
Lucy gave me a confident smile, prompting me to also smile at her in a confident manner. We both felt ready to fight this thief who resided in the tundra. seeing it be on the outskirts of Blizzard Town. As we started walking towards the outskirts, Lucy and I soon saw a large pale blue twister of Ice Magic appear on the border where the street ended. The icy wind soon blew towards the girl, causing her to quickly get behind me like a coward. She trembled as I created rainbow-colored energy waves on my hands, and I made those energy waves teleport the twister up into the air.
It went high into the sky, before exploding to make icy winds come down upon the town. The icy and frigid winds started to freeze many of the light blue buildings that were in this town, along with making some mages become frozen in ice. Lucy groaned in a pained manner at how her feet were frozen in pale blue chunks of ice, but she made a mauve purple flame appear on her hand as she felt frustrated. She aggressively pressed the flame against both of her feet, quickly melting the ice for it to turn into a puddle of blue water.
Lucy placed her flame on that puddle, trying to heat it up to where light blue clouds of steam rose up from the puddle to make some heat be in the air. As Lucy created a new spell of dark Celestial Spirit Magic to make mauve purple fire engulf her body, the high amount of heat in her dark magic caused us both to hear the sound of an older woman giggling in a displeased manner. She walked towards us while having pale blue hair that mostly fell to her hips while a small portion of her hair was tied back in an upwards ponytail, and her eyes were dark blue.
"Fiora, you need to keep cowering in fear. If you're this scared, then I'm finally proving that I can be intimidating!" Glacienne told the cowering girl with an arrogant smirk on her face, before arrogantly frowning at me.
That prompted the younger girl to respond with a fearful frown on her face, as she moved from behind me, "Lady Glacienne, please stop using your strength to make all this ice ruin our town! If you keep freezing our town, it may get too cold for some of us!"
"Well. If that's the case, you're all just tools for me to get stronger and gain much more wealth." Glacienne responded with a cold facial expression, her voice sounding emotionless.
Glacienne's response only caused Fiora to start crying with some tears falling from her eyes, not liking that this woman only viewed her as a dispensable tool. If Glacienne desired to dispose of people like trash, then it would be fitting for her to receive that same harsh treatment. I applied a high amount of Territory Magic to my feet, before appearing in front of Glacienne to strike her in the face with an energy wave. The energy wave ended up being filled with a high amount of electricity, which caused Glacienne to get electrocuted.
Since the temperature was cold, I smiled confidently while thinking that the electricity would burn her body. However, Glacienne didn't have any burns on her body and some pale blue ice that coated her body started to break apart like fragile glass. That icy armor slowly began to be regenerated around Glacienne's body, and she built up much more magical power for a spell. Glacienne aimed both of her hands at me while two pale blue orbs were formed in them, but I teleported her back into the tundra.
That caused Glacienne to make those attacks strike the ice, causing two pale blue blasts to occur while they were large. The large blasts quickly spun outward while Lucy and I ran into the tundra, but we both ended up sliding on the dense ice as we entered the tundra. The entire tundra was filled with ice that was hard as glaciers, along with mountains of snow that weren't moved by the heavy winds. The icy air caused Glacienne to laugh evilly, and she started to look at me with a vicious smirk as if her victory was assured.
Concurrently, in the tundra... (Lucy's POV)
Even if Glacienne thought that she could be victorious against us, I narrowed my eyes as I activated a new spell of my dark magic. This spell was known as Ghostly Celestial Fire, and it caused my body to turn transparent like a ghost. My ghostly body wasn't affected by the ice, since I could run on it as if the ice had been like going across soft grass. When I got close to Glacienne, I slammed my palm against her chest to see it ignite in a large burst of mauve purple flames. Some of the flames landed around her feet, which caused me to have a worried look on my face as I slid away from her.
The fire started to burn through the ice, causing pale blue flowing water to be seen. Glacienne picked up that water, in her hands, and she applied magical power to them for the water to create many pale blue bubbles. The bubbles started to become covered in pale blue frost, before more water came up like a geyser to make the bubbles become larger. They had water and icy air spinning around in them, and Glacienne thrusted her hands towards me. That caused the bubbles to be sent flying towards me at high speeds, but feelings of confidence appeared in my eyes.
I confidently activated a new spell called Celestial Mauve Hex, and this spell caused one of the mauve purple flames on the ice to bounce back into my hand. I threw it towards Glacienne's projectiles, only for them to become mauve purple from the flame's heat waves. The bubbles boiled with mauve purple steam emerging from them, before mauve purple flames appeared in them. The bubbles became fireballs, and I lowered my hands down towards Glacienne. She gasped in a somewhat shocked manner while the fireballs went towards her, and they all struck her to create massive mauve purple explosions.
The fiery explosions caused her to let out a scream of agonizing pain, and I could see that her skin was getting charred and brown from the attack. That didn't stop Glacienne from running out of the explosions with an angered look on her face, and Glacienne built up a high amount of magical power. She proceeded to concentrate most of it into her hands, before slashing at the air in an aggressive manner. Glacienne's powerful slashes made the icy winds touch some of the snowflakes that descended from the sky, resulting in her Ice Magic strengthening the winds to where several pale blue tornadoes appeared.
"Winter Ice Turbulence!" Glacienne stated in a fierce manner, her eyes displaying sternness as she aimed her hand at me.
Upon being hit by one of her attacks, I responded in a worried manner, "Oh, no!"
The tornado struck me, before carrying me high into the air. The tornado of icy winds exploded, and I screamed in pain from feeling the potency of this Ice Magic. The icy magic was strong enough to make pale blue frost be on my body, and the frost was extremely cold to where it felt like glacial ice. The ice grew larger when I fell down into another tornado of Ice Magic, and that tornado detonated with much more strength as the air became much colder. The cold frost started to engulf my entire body to where I could feel myself becoming like an ice statue, but I couldn't give up.
Feelings of determination entered my eyes as the ice around me kept exploding, and I activated a new spell of dark Celestial Spirit Magic. This spell was known as Starry Dark Night Destruction, and this spell made six mauve purple beams come down from the sky. The beams had star-shaped spearheads, and the attacks all spun down towards me. I felt them strike the ice, breaking it in a few moments right before the energy of my magic reached my body. The mauve purple aura that surrounded me was making me feel powerful, but it slowly started to become scarce.
Since the aura was thinning, I narrowed my eyes at Glacienne and ran towards her while activating Starry Dark Night Destruction again. The spell made six mauve purple beams come down upon me to create six mauve purple explosions, and they were larger than before because of the aura that was still around me. The dark energy that went outward was tough enough to burn through Glacienne's icy tornadoes, and I proceeded to punch her in the chest. Punching Glacienne several times resulted in large explosions engulfing her body, creating much more fire and heat in the tundra.
"Lucy, be careful! If too much ice melts, this outlaw could use the water to her advantage!" Minerva told me with a concerned look on her face, as she created some rainbow-colored energy waves.
Glacienne responded with a malicious smirk on her face, as she walked out of the explosions to reveal that she was heavily bloodied and bruised, "Using the water to my advantage is a wonderful idea."
Glacienne built up a high amount of magical power to where a pale blue aura engulfed her body, and she lightly placed her feet on to the water. The water didn't drown Glacienne, due to her feet having thin sheets of ice under them. She pressed her feet down against the water, resulting in the sounds of the tundra's ice loudly cracking. The cracking ice soon shattered, resulting in the appearance of pale blue tidal waves rising up from the water. The tidal waves were surrounded by a pale blue aura, but Glacienne threw some of the wet ice shards at a snowy mountain.
That caused high amounts of snow to tumble down from the mountain, since the ice shards created pale blue explosions after hitting the snow. The roaring sounds of the snow falling down and hitting the ground caused more of the thick ice to start breaking apart, especially when the heavy snow fell from the high heights to smash into the ice. The chunks of ice that were flung towards me ended up being teleported away by Minerva, who trapped them in her energy waves. She made them become engulfed in cerulean blue flames, which only coated the ice.
The sight of those cerulean blue flames made me see that they grew larger from touching the ice, before they bounced off of the chunks of ice to touch the water. When the cerulean blue flames touched the water, they created thick sheets of ice that froze the water. Freezing the water would impede Glacienne, but to what extent? In this situation, I briefly groaned in a frustrated manner while having an idea. If Minerva's flames had the properties of frigid ice, would something interesting happen if I combined them with my dark magic?
Five minutes later... (Minerva's POV)
Lucy surprised me by activating a new spell of her dark magic, and this new spell had been called Ghostly Spectral Chandelier. Lucy raised both of her hands up into the air while they were engulfed in a mauve purple aura, and she shot out six orbs from her hands. The orbs were joined by six different chains of fire that appeared between them, before all of the chains led to a mauve purple fireball. Lucy's spell felt as hot as a volcano, but seeing her smile at me in a confident manner right before moving her hands around like a psychic made me interested in her thoughts.
Lucy made her six orbs fly towards the cerulean blue flames, which became mauve purple from touching the orbs. The flames were attached to the orbs, which I proceeded to teleport into Glacienne's hands. She was shocked to be holding those orbs, only to be more surprised when I coated them with explosive and cold energy waves that also had the property of being in an amethyst shade of purple. That caused the power of our attacks to combine in this moment before the orbs detonated, and the massive mauve purple blasts of fire soon became amethyst purple.
The amethyst purple flames gave off tremendous amounts of heat, but they also gave off amethyst purple clouds of frost. The amethyst purple fire burned Glacienne, and the clouds of smoke were hastily blown away by the icy winds. The winds allowed Lucy and I to see that Glacienne was harshly burned by that attack, and the flames that burned her skin had been scorching hot with the properties of dry ice. By being like dry ice, these flames would be incapable of melting the weaker ice that was in the tundra.
Also, being harmed by the flames of our dry ice meant that Glacienne couldn't use her Ice Magic as effectively as before. She picked up some chunks of ice while sending her magic into them in the same moment where she pressed them against her chest, but the ice armor wouldn't appear. Did those flames of dry ice shatter her remaining armor to where rebuilding it would require a longer duration of time? If Glacienne couldn't defend herself, then this was the perfect time for Lucy and I to strike her with some powerful attacks.
"Lucy, use my titanium to your advantage!" I sternly told Lucy with a serious facial expression, as I created energy waves that were as dense as titanium.
That caused Lucy to respond with a confident look on her face, before activating a new spell, "Yes, Minerva-sama! Stellar Witch's Scream!"
Lucy proceeded to pick up some amethyst purple flames, and she stuffed them into her mouth. That was followed up by Lucy seeing my energy waves strike Glacienne, the metallic waves densely hitting her body to where she coughed up some blood. The moment where Glacienne coughed up some blood was when Lucy shot out a large stream of amethyst purple flames from her mouth, and the fire was hot enough to burn the areas of Glacienne's body that had my energy waves burst against it. Since metal could be burnt by fire, Glacienne was taking much more damage from Lucy's attack.
The massive fiery explosion that resulted from this attack made Glacienne scream in excruciating pain, and the fire spun inward. Glancing at Lucy's eyes for a moment let me see that they were becoming amethyst purple like her hair, and she was manipulating the spell's properties like a psychic. Lucy slammed her hands together, causing all of the flames to slam against Glacienne. Glacienne was on the receiving end of Lucy's aggression, just like how I had been aggressive towards Lucy during our training in Sunnysol.
Training Lucy to fight more aggressively had certainly proved to be beneficial, as she picked up several of those flames with one hand for the purpose of quickly unleashing another spell. This spell involved Lucy making the mauve purple aura be concentrated in her mouth, only for the aura to become amethyst purple, and she exhaled it in a soft breath for the aura to start coating the flames. The flames grew much larger, before floating in midair, and the flames shot out large streams of amethyst purple fire.
"How do you like the Stellar Witch's Amethyst Breath spell?" Lucy confidently asked Glacienne, seeing her get struck by massive amethyst purple fiery blasts.
Upon getting struck by somewhat smaller amethyst purple fiery blasts that resulted from the combusting flames, Glacienne stated in a wounded manner, agonizing pain in her voice, "I won't be... taken down by... you. I can't... die yet."
Glacienne weakly made her hands form the shape of a circle, and she built up some magical power. She made the pale blue engulf her hands while the icy winds entered the circle that they formed, and Glacienne surprisingly shifted her eyes at me. She fired the icy winds at me while they took the form of a pale blue beam, but Glacienne made her attack curve downward at the last moment. The attack smashed through the ice, which caused high amounts of water and large chunks of ice to be sent flying into the air.
Glacienne pulled her hands inward, causing the icy winds to blow towards her. This caused the cold water and large chunks of ice to quickly be blown towards the circle that her hands formed, and Glacienne aggressively screamed. She watched the ice chunks enter the circle, which caused a pale blue aura to heavily engulf her body, and the water that entered the circle made the aura grow even larger. Glacienne unleashed that powerful attack again, making seven large beams of Ice Magic simultaneously be shot from the circle for them to quickly come towards me.
As I attempted to counter them with my energy waves, my rainbow-colored energy waves suddenly became surrounded by thick frost and ice! They were now immobilized, and the tundra's winds now felt extremely cold. Ice and frost started to engulf my body, my breath becoming light blue from the coldness of this fight, and the the ice thickened around my legs. I gasped in a panicked manner, my eyes starting to display fear at how I couldn't move, and I was about to be hit by Glacienne's powerful attack that would freeze me whilst also ending my life.
Glacienne's POV
Upon realizing that this powerful attack would freeze that wizard and end her life, I had a gleeful smile appear on my face. That mage and her friend really thought they could defeat me, but I personally believed that I was much stronger than them. From my perspective, the strongest mages perceived their magic as nothing more than dispensable tools that could assist them with getting money and power. Not only had I become wealthy from terrorizing Blizzard Town's mages and tourists, but my magical power always increased when I could unleash my feelings of hatred and anger.
I had every right to feel hateful and angry, due to the fact that the Festive Snowflake guild kicked me out for messing up on one job. The job that I failed to successfully handle had occurred when my Ice Magic was very weak, but I strengthened it to a high level by training in the coldest depths of the tundra. The harsh and cold mountains of ice were coupled with the snow, which could be incorporated into my magic for it to gain much more density. By changing the density of my Ice Magic, it gained a tremendous amount of strength.
My high level of Ice Magic and my dangerous spells allowed me to get revenge on my former guild, even to where I killed the guild master while taking down several other wizards. They were all forced to be subservient to me, since I was now the strongest woman in Blizzard Town. Being the strongest woman in Blizzard Town caused me to evilly laugh right now, and I truly felt unbeatable in this moment. In fact, these two mages who came here to fight me would just be two more people who needed their graves to be in the tundra.
The younger mage named Lucy suddenly wanted me to start creating her grave, since she applied Darkness Magic to the soles of her feet as she ran to protect her teammate. That woman who she addressed as Minerva got to hear Lucy scream in excruciating pain as seven massive pale blue blasts of Ice Magic occurred, and the icy energy spun outward to make the ice in the tundra become more dense and thick. The side effect of the Icy Glacier Blitz spell was that the icy winds made a pale blue aura heavily engulf my body, before it became light blue.
"Now that I'm much more powerful, do you understand that I'm unbeatable?" I asked Minerva in a condescending tone, before giggling in an arrogant manner at how the smoke cleared up to reveal that Lucy was entirely frozen by my ice.
That prompted Minerva to respond in a frustrated manner, unable to move, "I understand that you made my teammate become an ice statue!"
"Well, you'll soon join her in being an ice statue and your hearts shall freeze together." I replied to her with a malicious smile forming on my face, feelings of sadism entering my eyes.
I prepared to unleash the Icy Glacier Blitz spell again, only to see Minerva create rainbow-colored energy waves that were turning light blue. Not only were they light blue, but she started to break through the ice that surrounded the energy waves! She still had those energy waves active, but my ice would've frozen all of her explosive attacks! Did she alter those waves of energy for them to not be explosive? They gave off a level of magical power that was weak and soft, almost like she infected my ice with energy that purposely weakened it.
She cracked all of ice around her energy waves, before making those energy waves touch the ice that was around her body. The ice started to loudly shatter like glass, even to the point where pieces of it hit Lucy, and Minerva gently touched Lucy's body with the energy waves to start softening all that ice. I couldn't rebuild all of my ice fast enough, as my spells focused on power over speed. The sounds of the ice cracking were very loud, and Minerva started to glare at me in a vicious manner. She made her energy waves to turn cerulean blue, before slamming her hands down on the ice.
That caused me to start losing my balance, as it felt like Minerva created an earthquake within the tundra. However, the tundra's ice was now brightly glistening while feeling much thinner. Stepping forward on the thin ice caused me to see several cerulean blue beams of light emerge from below it, causing me to cover my eyes, and I slightly opened my eyes to see that Minerva threw her energy waves at me! They struck my body, tremendously thinning the aura around me as beams of light were now emerging from the aura itself.
"Am I... getting weaker?" I asked aloud with a worried facial expression, feeling my magical power diminish.
Minerva responded in a confident tone, "You're losing magical power, and this last attack will be strong enough to finish the fight!"
Minerva created sky blue energy waves on her hands, and she frowned in an aggressive manner as she threw them towards me. The two large energy waves surrounded me while they felt like sky blue twisters of wind that were viciously detonating against me, and the sky blue explosions were very large! The sky blue explosions were followed up by massive cerulean blue blasts, which resulted from giant cerulean blue energy waves being thrown at my chest! The blasts spun inward while their winds were damaging my body, and I could feel myself getting severely bruised.
These winds also burned my skin, due to the fact that they strengthened the sky blue fire to where the flames ended up combusting against my skin. This fusion attack was just as powerful as when those two women combined their attacks, and I felt my body start to collapse. I looked startled at how I ended up losing, as I truly thought that I never would've lost to any mages who wanted to fight me. Since Minerva dealt the finishing blow to me in this fight, that would mean she was the winner of this battle.
Not only did Minerva win this battle, but she wasn't the one who had several bloody wounds. Minerva didn't bleed from several places like how I had been bleeding, and I could barely even stay conscious. I only got to see her create azure blue energy waves on her hands while those attacks looked massive, almost like she was still intent on fighting against me in this moment where I was still standing. However, I soon felt my life reach its end as my final sensation that was experienced involved my legs and body harshly falling forward for me to smash through the ice.
Five minutes later... (Minerva's POV)
Upon seeing Glacienne be dead and defeated to where she fell through the thin ice without resurfacing, I lightly smiled at Lucy. Lucy gave me a soft smile, both of us feeling glad that we managed to accomplish this mission of taking down a powerful outlaw. Now that Glacienne was no longer causing problems, her Ice Magic that she inflicted on the town of Blizzard started to melt away. The melting ice caused many people who were near the statue to start cheering in a joyful manner, possibly believing that their goddess finally treated them with some compassion.
The goddess who would be treated compassionately by Lucy was me, however. Lucy happily smiled at me, before her eyes displayed that she was very proud of me for getting over my feelings of fear in a crucial moment. Instead of being submissive and letting myself get defeated, I fought hard against that antagonist. After Glacienne had frozen Lucy and nearly killed my teammate, I couldn't just leave Lucy here to die. Lucy didn't have to intercept that attack, but she did. She seemed so confident, not even fearing the consequences of getting frozen.
Lucy shivered heavily, before tightly hugging me. I felt surprised that she would hug me, since a part of myself did feel like I had been inadequate by letting her get frozen by Glacienne's Ice Magic. The icy energy could still be felt when I hugged Lucy, which made me realize that she was really feeling very cold. My body felt just as cold as hers, since I had almost been completely encased in ice, and spending so much time in this tundra was only going to make both of us start to get sick. Lucy lightly sneezed on my coat while blushing, prompting me to also lightly sneeze.
We both felt some pain from spending a long duration of time in the tundra, prompting me to pull Lucy close to me as we walked across the thin ice. We both tried to not put too much pressure on the ice, since even taking one step too quickly could result in most of it cracking. Lucy and I felt the ice start to crack beneath our feet, however, and I wondered if all of the explosions from the very end of the fight had made the ice become quite brittle. The brittle ice broke apart beneath Lucy's feet first, followed by the feeling of the ice shattering for me to plunge into the water.
Upon seeing Lucy sink into the water and look like she was losing consciousness, I thought to myself as I swam past some ice chunks with seriousness in my eyes, "No...! No, Lucy can't die!"
If Lucy perished in this tundra, then I would also have to perish. I didn't want my weaker teammate to be left behind and die, especially not after Lucy invested her own time into helping me regain more confidence. The confidence that I felt in this moment brought my mind back to the Naval Battle, the event of the Grand Magic Games where I felt that I could've beaten all of the other participants in a matter of seconds. If I could fight fast in the water during a few seconds, then I could certainly swim fast.
I applied cerulean blue energy waves of Territory Magic to my feet, sending more power and density into my legs as if I just finished swimming for hours. My legs started to swim through the water at a much faster rate, and I held my breath underwater as I managed to see Lucy. Lucy was sinking down into the water at a fast rate, nearly going down to where the water pressure would crush her body, but I managed to grab one of her hands and pull her close to me. As we were now close together, I activated my Territory Magic again to make a light blue energy wave surround us.
The energy wave teleported Lucy and I back to the tundra's entrance, both of us being drenched with water to where our coats were soaking wet, and cold frost had been in our hair. Touching some of the cold ice in Lucy's hair caused me to have a concerned look on my face, since Lucy wasn't as strong as me. If she couldn't fight off the immense coldness, then she would get very sick and her heart would probably freeze. I kept looking at Lucy's blushing and pale blue frost breath as she was still breathing, and I proceeded to pick her up to just carry her in a bridal-style fashion.
Upon touching Lucy's forehead and seeing that she was feeling much hotter as she blushed, I thought to myself with an alarmed facial expression, "Oh, no! She's got a high fever!"
Lucy weakly whispered in a pained manner, slowly opening her eyes as she breathed heavily and blushed in a hot hue of pink, "Minerva-sama, I feel... very... hot."
In this moment where Fiora approached us in a concerned manner, I replied to Lucy in a pained manner while blushing and perspiring, "Lucy, I'll find an inn or a hospital for us."
Although, I hadn't seen any inns in this town yet. Looking at a nearby street that went to the right allowed me that some places had plain blue chimneys with smoke slowly emerging from them, so I thought that an inn could be in that direction. I ran down the street as fast as I could while holding Lucy in my arms, wanting to locate that inn. The left side of the street seemed to feature several gift shops and bakeries, which weren't going to be beneficial to me right now. The right side of the street also didn't benefit me, since it just contained several cafes that would serve hot drinks.
Even though hot drinks were useful for sweating out fevers, Lucy had also been drowning in seawater. The seawater in the tundra had been salty while it also didn't taste very good, and we both began to look somewhat pale. Lucy and I needed to be cured of our sicknesses, but all that I could do was run over to the next street. As I soon saw that the next street was just selling ice cream and other cold desserts right now, I turned around for a moment to see some snow-covered stairs. They led up to a light blue ski chalet, which only had smoke emerging from the cerulean blue bricked chimney while the light blue roof had six snowflakes on top of it.
That house probably wouldn't be where I could find a doctor, but was there any harm in trying right now? If I at least attempted to find someone who could fully heal Lucy and I, then we could go back to Mauve Town instead of dying in this frosty part of Fiore. The icy winds blew towards me and Lucy again, causing us both to groan in a pained manner from how the cold winds weren't making us feel good. I started to feel fatigued and dizzy while walking up the steps that had some cerulean cosmos flowers growing in the snow, my eyes looking determined to get to that house. As I walked up the snow-covered steps and tried to ignore the cold air, I soon saw Fiora get in front of me and gently take Lucy into her arms. She carried Lucy up the staircase, causing me to have a slight smile with exhaustion in my eyes at how I did lead us in the right direction to where we could reach an inn or an infirmary.
How was Chapter 7? Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it. Minerva and Lucy went to Blizzard Town to finally complete the job of taking down an outlaw, and the fight proved to be challenging to where Lucy and Minerva needed to fight hard against Glacienne! Despite prevailing against Glacienne and her Ice Magic, Lucy and Minerva ended up getting feverish and sick. Even if their sicknesses get cured, that is not the end of this arc.
Speaking of this arc, this chapter had the romantic aspects of shared interests and shared goals. Not only did Lucy and Minerva both have an interest in buying cute coats, but they also had the shared goal of enduring the cold weather and also shared some confident feelings in taking down Glacienne. Another romantic aspect was Minerva thinking that she'd perish if Lucy perishes, which makes them united in their partnership as a team. If it isn't clear, the theme of this arc is common interests. Speaking of this arc, this is the first chapter of the Cerulean Cosmos Arc! I'll update soon. :)
