Hello everyone I'm back once again to bring you another chapter of my story; I'm surprised at how popular this story is. Only been out for 3 days and is number 3 soon to be number 2 on my most popular story; you guys rock. Ok then without further ado lets begin.
Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 4
Kisame, Raiga and Ranmaru who was hiding inside Raiga's back pack were staring down Itachi Uchiha; Kisame was strong probably as strong as Itachi but he never tried to go all out. One on one the out come couldn't be more of a blur; but Kisame had Raiga with him. While he may not be a S-class ninja, he might be enough to tip the scales in Kisame's favor.
"Hey Raiga" Kisame said gaining the man's attention "I'll hit him from close range; you hit him from long range, and for fuck sakes don't look him in the eyes. I may be immune to his genjutus but if you look in there… well someone else will need to take care of the brat in the back pack" he said.
"Copy that" Raiga said "you heard him Ranmaru; I need you now more than ever" he said.
"Ok Raiga, I'll do my best" Ranmaru said from inside his back pack.
"Ok then" Kisame said "lets boogie" he said; he charged at Itachi at max speed. He swing his sword at Itachi who jumped over the blade; Itachi then attepted to kick Kisame but Kisame blocked it and grabbed onto Itachi's leg. Kisame the threw Itachi away and Itachi landed.
Itachi then had to dodge a bolt of lightning courtesy of Raiga "hold still pretty boy" Raiga shouted.
"Pretty boy, seriously pretty boy" Itachi said mildly annoyed 'god I hated it when Hana called me that' Itachi thought as he dodged another lightning bolt. Itachi then went through hand signs 'Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu' Itachi then launched a fireball at Raiga.
Raiga stuck his swords in the ground and went through hand signs; 'Water style water bullets' Raiga then fired multiple water bullets from his mouth hitting the fire ball.
"Raiga, shuriken, right side" Ranmaru said; Raiga grabbed his swords then hopped to the left as the shuriken hit where he just was.
'The fire ball was a distraction' Raiga thought "good job Ranmaru" Raiga said; he then formed a compressed ball of lightning with his swords. Raiga then sent it towards Itachi; Itachi saw it coming but couldn't react in time.
'Susanoo' just then a ribcage made of chakra formed around Itachi; as the lightning ball hit it dispersed. Itachi's relief was short lived as Kisame then came barreling towards him; Kisame swung his sword and hit Itachi's Susanoo.
When it made contact the Susanoo cracked slightly 'what' Itachi thought in surprise.
"My Samehada eats chakra Itachi" Kisame shouted as he wound up again got another strike "I don't have to beat you; just drain you" he said as he swung again hitting the same spot cracking it come more.
Itachi then formed a arm and tried to hit Kisame; but the man blocked it and was sent flying until he landed a couple dozen yards away.
'He's right' Itachi thought 'my Susanoo drains a lot of chakra' he thought; he then began to cough and he spit out some blood. 'No, not now' Itachi thought.
Kisame looked at the sight and smiled 'I knew something was wrong with him' he thought; he then went through hand signs 'Water style: water shark bomb' several water sharks came out of the ground and went to Itachi. Kisame knew that he used a shit tone of chakra doing it but he knew it would help him; Itachi used his Susanoo arm to swat away the sharks but he saw Kisame coming up from behind.
Kisame smashed the Susanoo again and the cracks that were already there got even worse; Raiga seeing this pointed his swords up in the air as rain clouds began to form. As it began to rain Raiga pointed his swords at Itachi and smiled 'Lightning funeral' a large bolt of lightning hit the Susanoo causing a large bright light to shine through the area.
Raiga closed his eyes for a split second; when he opened them, he saw Itachi rushing to him. Itachi attepted to stab Raiga in the chest but Raiga blocked it; he then got stabbed in the side by a second kunai. Itachi was about to finish Raiga off but was stopped when he was hit on his side letting raiga fall to the ground; Kisame dragged his sword ripping off the flesh from Itachi's ribs
Itachi retaliated by kicking Kisame in the gut and slashing him across his arm; Kisame using his other arm swung again at Itachi who ducked and slashed Kisame's legs. He gave Kisame a minor cut but it was enough to make Kisame stumble back; Itachi then advanced. Itachi stabbed Kisame in the gut and was about to stab him in the throat but it was blocked be Kisame. Itachi then kicked the kunai deeper into Kisame making him cry out in pain; Itachi then kicked Kisame in the head sending him flying a few feet away.
Itachi panting heavily walked over to the wounded Kisame and raised a Kunai ready to stab him "goodbye old friend" Itachi said. Kisame closed his eyes ready to accept his fate until he heard lightning.
Ranmaru out of his backpack was helping Raiga hold up his 2 swords that were aimed at Itachi; Itachi not seeing it was hit from behind directly. Itachi fell to the ground he had a basket ball sized burn on his back and on his right foot was burned showing that the lightning bolt went to the ground through his body.
Kisame let out a sigh of relief he then crawled over to a puddle and did the summoning justu; a small shark appeared and Kisame sighed.
"Patch me up" he said; the shark nodded and began to pour healing chakra into Kisame. "Hold on Raiga; I'm getting healed and I'll bring the shark over when I'm done" he said.
"Ok" Raiga said; Ranmaru began to put bandages onto Raiga's wounds while the 2 men talked "is he dead" Raiga asked.
"No unconscious" Kisame said.
"What now" Raiga asked.
Kisame began to think until he snapped his fingers "I have an idea" he said and Raiga listened "It's a little crazy but hear me out; it just might work" Kisame said.
2 hours later: In Naruto's apartment (the day before the Chunin exams)
Naruto was asleep in his bed snoring away from his night of partying the night before.
"Naruto" came a voice and Naruto still sleeping "Naruto" said the voice a little louder.
"Fuck this" another voice shouted.
Naruto was then electrocuted awake; he jumped out of bed and landed next to his sword picking it up "who the fuck- "he began until he saw Kisame and Raiga standing in his room with a third man slung over Kisame's shoulder. "What the hell did you just shock me" Naruto shouted "and who the fuck is that guy" he shouted.
"Calm down damnit" Raiga said "we came here to get some help" he said and Naruto looked confused.
"Help with what" Naruto asked lowering his guard.
Kisame sighed "we need to see your hokage and Mei" he said surprising the boy.
1 hour later
Hiruzen's day was off to a good start; breakfast with Konohamru, smoking a new tobacco flavor and enjoying a nice morning.
Now he was in his office with Naruto who's teeth were now sharpened, Mei Terumi who had a angry look on her face, Kisame Hoshigaki re-wrapping his wound, Raiga Kurosuki picking his nose and wiping it under the chair he was sitting in, a young boy watching cartoons on his office television and Itachi Uchiha the clan killed gagged, bagged and tied up on the floor struggling to get out.
"Ok" Hiruzen said rubbing his temples "explain to me how you know these 3" Hiruzen said to Naruto.
"Well, it's like this- "Naruto began.
20 Minutes later
"Holy crap this is bad" Hiruzen said "you basically joined a secret organization and sharpened your teeth" he said and Naruto nodded.
"I think they look cool" Naruto said.
"They may look cool Naruto" Mei said "but why did you not tell me sooner" she said and Naruto looked a little guilty.
"I was out partying with Chojuro" he said running the back of his head "I was going to tell you though" he said.
"Ok Naruto" Hiruzen said "you basically hung out with 2 known criminals who snuck into the village; but they didn't commit any crimes. I expect you to feign ignorance in case anyone asks you anything about it" he said and Naruto nodded. "Now why is Itachi here" he said to Raiga.
"So, this is how it went down- "Raiga began.
20 More minutes later
"Holy fucking shit this is bad" Hiruzen said as he pulled out a bottle of sake and took a swig "so you're telling me that you captured him because you didn't want to let any harm come to Naruto" Hiruzen said and Raiga nodded.
"We Seven Swordmen take care of our own" Raiga said "Kisame wouldn't let Itachi capture Naruto here and neither would I" he said and Naruto smiled.
"Thanks guys you're the best" Naruto said "I totally owe you both some Ramen" he said and they smiled.
"Do they have sea food ramen" Kisame asked and Naruto nodded.
"Yeah, it's really good" he said.
"It's pretty amazing" Mei said chiming in.
"Now then" Hiruzen said looking at Kisame "why would your organization want to capture Naruto" Hiruzen said trying to keep his sanity together.
"Ok so it goes like this- "Kisame began.
20 More minutes later
"Holy fucking Kami above this is bad; they want to take over the world. What sick kind of Saturday morning cartoon bullshit is this" Hiruzen shouted as Kisame chuckled.
"On the bright side now, the organization is down to 7 members; me, Itachi and Orochimaru are no longer in play" Kisame said.
Hiruzen paled at the mention of his rogue apprentice; he then grabbed his bottle of sake and chugged the whole thing. When he was done, he smashed it on the ground and shouted.
"Why is my job so fucking hard" Hiruzne shouted scaring everyone in the room. "Anbu" Hiruzen shouted and 4 anbu came out from the shadows "take Itachi to jail and hold him for Ibiki and Anko" he said; they nodded and 2 anbu disappeared with Itachi. "You 2" he said pointing to the other 2 "escort Kisame and Raiga to a free room in anbu HQ" he said making both men go wide eyed.
"I can probably down grade your bingo book statuses' by 2 ranks" Hiruzen said and both men looked happy "if you both work with me I can possibly get you both a pardon with Mei's help" he said.
"Thanks, old timer" Kisame said.
"Ok Ranamru get ready to go" Raiga said but Hiruzen stopped him.
"If possible, I would like Ranmaru to attend the academy while you both are here" he said making both Raiga and Ranmaru go wide eyed "think of it as free day care and maybe he makes some friends" he said.
"Can I go Raiga" Ranmaru said; Raiga looked hesitant but then nodded.
"Ok you can go" he said making Ranamru smile "but if anything happens to him, I'll fry you" he said to the Hokage who looked like he couldn't give less of a shit.
"Yeah, yeah whatever" Hiruzen said waving him off making him grow a tick mark "Naruto take Ranmaru to the academy and Ranmaru say nothing about Kisame, Raiga or Naruto" he said and the boy bowed.
"Yes, sir Hokage sir" Ranmaru said and Hiruzen nodded.
"Now all of you get out while I try and figure out what to do next" he said; everyone began to leave until Hiruzen was all alone.
Hiruzen then looked over to the portrait of Minato 'you just had to die; you couldn't just let me retire' he thought; then then went through hand signs and summoned a small monkey. "Go and find Jiraya" Hiruzen said "I'm going to need him now more than ever" Hiruzen said as the monkey nodded and disappeared.
Hiruzen then sighed "I'm to old for this shit" he said as he dragged his hands down his face.
With Naruto, Mei and Ranmaru
Naruto was walking with Mei and Ranmaru to the academy; Mei was currently holding Ranamru's hand as the boy looked around happily.
"You will have a lot of fun Ranmaru" Naruto said "Iruka sensei is super cool; you'll have a blast" he said and Ranmaru looked to him excited.
"I can't wait" Ranmaru said "when I get back, I'll tell Raiga all about it" he said. As the 3 approached the academy they saw all the student entering class.
"Hey Naruto" a voice shouted; Naruto then saw Konohamaru run over.
"Konohamaru what's up" Naruto said smiling and showing off his teeth.
"Woah your teeth; what happened" Konohamaru asked amazed.
"I became a man" Naruto said making Mei sweat drop and Konohamaru look at him with stars in his eyes.
"Cool" Konohamaru said; he then saw Mei and Ranmaru standing there and Konohamaru smirked "hey boss" he said gaining Naruto's attention. "Who's the babe" he said pointing at Mei.
"Oh that's Mei; she's my badass sensei" Naruto said and Mei smiled.
"Hello there" Mei said waving at Konohamaru; Konohamaru then smirked even harder.
"Oh, I get it" Konohamaru said "She's totally your girlfriend right" he said. Mei hearing this blushed and began to panic internally.
'Oh god does everyone think that' Mei thought 'I mean they can't can they; we hardly are ever seen together in public' she thought.
"Get real Konohamaru" Naruto said gaining Mei attention "you think I could get a girl like her; she's like a 11 out of 10 and I'm like… well me" Naruto said. Mei then put her hand on his shoulder.
"Don't sell yourself short Naruto" Mei said "you are a catch and any girl would be lucky to have a man like you" she said; after she said that she began to wish she didn't.
"Aww thanks Mei that means a lot" Naruto said; he then turned to Konohamru "anyway we are here to take Ranmaru to class; it's his first day" he said and Konohamaru nodded.
"Oh ok" he said looking to Ranmaru "follow me Ranmaru; we can sit together" he said.
"Awesome" Ranmaru said letting go of Mei's hand "Bye Naruto, by pretty lady" he said as he and Konohamaru entered the school.
Naruto and Mei waved as he left and then began to walk away.
In the class room
Ranmaru was standing in the front of the room as everyone looked at him.
"Now then Ranmaru" Iruka said "please introduce yourself to the class" he said and Ranmaru cleared his throat.
"My name is Ranmaru… Kurosuki" Ranmaru began until he realized he didn't have anything he could say so he decided to wing it "I like uhhh… sharks, swords and funerals" he said.
'Wait what the hell' Iruka thought.
'Uhhhh did I hear him right' Konohamaru thought.
'He's so cute' Moegi thought with hearts in her eyes.
'He's a little awkward… and not like Hinata awkward' Hanabi thought.
"When I grow up I uhhh… want to be a swordsman and uhhh… have a pretty girlfriend with uhhh…. big boobies" he said 'yeah, I totally nailed it; I just mashed stuff together from Naruto, Kisame and Raiga. I'm sure they bought it' he thought as he looked straight down the classroom.
Iruka smacked his head, Konohamaru was trying not to laugh, Moegi was off in Lala land, and Hanabi was blushing as Ranmaru inadvertly was looking at her general direction.
'Does he mean me' Hanabi thought 'I mean people say I'm a cute girl, but we don't know each other and he never met my father, he needs his permission before he courts me, and he- 'Hanabi thought as she grew redder and began to fidget like her older sister.
"Ok… good job I guess" Iruka said to Ranmaru "go sit next to Hanabi up there in the top row" he said and Ranamru nodded.
Hanabi then saw in horror as Ranmaru walked to to her row and sat next to her "hi I'm Ranmaru" he said with a smile.
"I-I-I'm H-H-Hanabi" she stuttered out while blushing.
"Nice to meet you, we're friends now" he said and Hanabi nodded dumbly "want to hold hands" he said. Hanabi's brain couldn't take anymore and she fainted; Ranmaru looked at her and raised his hand.
"Ummm sir" he said "I think she fell asleep in class… is it nap time or something" he asked and Iruka smacked his forehead.
'Great another Naruto/Hinata situation' he thought "just sit her up and wait for her to wake up" he said and Ranmaru did so. "Ok now then" Iruka said "lets begin class" he said as he began to write on the chalk board.
The next day (Day of the Chunin exams)
Naruto was standing on the roof of the hokage tower as he was about to take the exams in 3 hours; Mei, Ao, and Kisame were all standing there.
"You have come a long way Naruto; I'm so proud of you and I know you'll do your best" Mei said with pride in her voice; she then pulled out a scroll and handed it to him "I got you a little something to wear when you participate" she said and Naruto took it.
"Thanks Mei" Naruto said "I couldn't have done it without you" he said before giving her a hug.
Ao then came forward and handed him a belt with 4 different canteens of water sewn in "this is a belt worn so a Kiri anbu member has water on him at all times for jutsu" Ao said "once you use it the water will return automatically because of the seal inside" he said. Naruto took it and shook his hand.
"Thanks Ao" he said and Ao nodded. Kisame then walked up and took out 2 shark tooth necklaces.
"These are special necklaces" he said handing one to him and one to Mei "if you snap them, it activates a beacon that'll let the other know where they are so they can provide back up; I got one, you got one and Mei got one. Only use it whenever shit hits the fan" he said.
"Thanks, Kisame you're a pal" Naruto said as they shook hands.
"Remember kid; a shark attacks suddenly and without warning. Use this in the exams and you'll be fine" he said and Naruto nodded.
"Thank you all" Naruto said before taking a deep breath "ok I'm ready" he said.
At the Academy
Kakashi, Sasuke and Sakura were all waiting in front of the door waiting for Naruto.
"Where the hell is he" Sakura screeched "did that idiot chicken out last minute" she said.
"He better not have" Sasuke said "not unless he knows what's good for him" he said.
Just then a swirl of water appeared and the 3 got on guard; they then saw who it was.
Naruto was standing there in a entirely new outfit; he was wearing black combat pants with black shinobi sandals, he wore a dark orange muscle shirt, a blue jacket over it the same color as Mei's dress and his shark tooth necklace hanging out. He had 2 head bands on his leaf headband on his forehead with a black cloth and one from Kiri tied to his left arm with a dark orange cloth. Lastly, he had Ao's belt on his waist and Zabuza's sword on his back.
"Hakake" Naruto said blandly "Emo bastard" Naruto said to Sasuke which made him mad "banshee" Naruto said making Sakura furious.
"Why you" she said as she moved in to punch him; Naruto just side stepped and tripped her making her fall on her face.
"Naruto what happened to you" Kakashi said and Naruto scowled.
"None of your goddamn business Hatake" Naruto said making Kakashi flinch at his tone.
"Hey loser" Sasuke said with a arrogant smirk "give me that sword" he said reaching for it "it'd be better if- "he began until Naruto took out the sword and held it to his neck.
"Sasuke" Naruto said with an innocent smile "shut up… or I'll kill you" he said sweetly.
With Mei
Mei was with Hiruzen and the anbu watching the interaction through the crystal ball; she put her hands on her hips and a proud look on her face.
"I taught him that" Mei said with pride.
'Mother of kami' Hiruzen thought as he refocused on the ball.
Back with Naruto
"Ok Naruto calm down" Kakashi said; Naruto scoffed and pulled away his sword.
"We may be participating together but we are not a team" Naruto said "don't talk to me, don't sit next to me, just ignore me like you always do" he said as he put his sword on his back. "Let's go already" he said as he walked to the door; Sasuke followed still mad and Sakura ran after them leaving Kakashi all alone.
'Oh shit' Kakashi thought 'I fucked up… I fucked up big time' he thought as the door closed behind Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura.
