Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 7
Tower in the middle of the forest of death: With Naruto.
Naruto was on a stretcher being rushed into the tower and taken into the operating room Naruto was taken off the stretcher and placed on the operating table. Doctors and nurses all gathered around and began to wash and tear off Naruto's cloths in order to treat his wound.
"What the hell happened to this kid" a doctor said tearing off Naruto's cloths "kami above he got ran through by a sword" he said getting bandages and clotting equipment.
"Isn't this Naruto Uzumaki… the boy" a nurse said gaining everyone's attention "I heard that because of… it… he has advanced healing. So why isn't the wound closing up" she said and the doctor looked at her.
"I don't know nor do I care" he said putting on a surgical mask "he's a ninja and that's that; I couldn't care less about… it" he said. "Get ready to operate" he shouted "and get Anko here goddamn it" he said.
With Mei and Kisame
Kisame charged at Orochimaru and swung Samehada at him; Orochimaru dodged and countered. Orochimaru slashed at Kisame with his Kusanagi; when he made contact Kisame dispelled into water as he was really a water clone.
'What' Orochimaru thought; Orochimaru was then hit from behind by Kisame. Samehada's spines ripped into Orochimaru's flesh tearing away the muscle and flesh from his back. Orochimaru was sent flying; when he landed his mouth opened up and he shed his old body.
His relief was short lived however as when he looked up he saw Mei in a tree going through hand signs 'Lava Style: Lava Shrapnel' Mei then spat out a glob of lava from her mouth and sent it to Orochimaru.
Orochimaru jumped a few feet away but it didn't save him; the glob of lava once it hit the ground splatterd into hundreds of pieces spreading around and melting the ground and setting shrubbery on fire. Orochimaru got hit with a few pieces and immediately put out the small fire that was on him looking at his burned arm.
Orochimaru then stretched his body and attempted to bite Mei to inject her with poison but was intercepted.
'Water Style: Water shark bomb jutsu' Kisame sent 5 water sharks at Orochimaru which made the rogue sanin dodge; which created an opportunity for Mei.
'Boil release: Corrosive mist' Mei then released a mist of boiling temperatures and sent it towards Orochimaru while he was busy dodging. Orochimaru could do nothing when the mist covered him; a few second later Orochimaru fell to the ground screaming in agony.
Orochimaru's skin was peeling off and his eyes had melted; Orochimaru then sched his body once more and when he got his footing he panted and breathed heavily. While he did have a lot of chakra it was not infinite; the more damage he takes before hand the more chakra it takes to prepare a new body and the last attack made him use a lot of chakra.
Kisame and Mei both landed a couple yards away and Orochimaru spoke.
"You Kiri trash" Orochimaru shouted "why are you 2 standing in my way; why are you disrupting my plans" he shouted.
"Simple" Kisame said with a scowl "you hurt one of my brothers; that's all" he said making Orochimaru go wide eyed.
"You hurt the person I love" Mei said gaining Orochimaru's attention "I never got to tell him how I feel; and if he dies… then… I don't know what I'll do. But I'll start with melting you to a puddle" she said with a furious look.
"Damn you both" Orochimaru shouted before going through hand signs and slamming his hand on the ground; Manda the Snake boss appeared with Orochimaru standing on top of him "after I kill you 2 I'll kill that blonde brat and destroy Konoha; then when I'm done Kiri is next" he shouted.
Kisame looking at Orochimaru shook his head "you just signed your death certificate snake boy" Kisame said "Mei take on Orochimaru; I got the big ass snake" he said readying himself.
"Alright" Mei said "lets do this" she said as both her and Kisame charged at Orochimaru and Manda.
With Naruto: In his mind scape
The Kyuubi was looking down at a unconscious Naruto from behind the bars of his cell 'What a pathetic sight' he thought as he stared at his half dead jailer 'but this may be my opportunity to finally leave this cursed body; and I think I know where' he thought with a dark chuckle.
Outside the mind scape
The doctors were now done with the operation and were looking at Naruto; Naruto had lost a lot of blood and his heart was beating weakly.
"Get him a room prepared for him" the doctor said to his nurses "all that's left is to wait and see if he pulls through" he said as he and his staff walked out and began to prepare a room for Naruto.
A few seconds after they left a small bit of red chakra went from Naruto to his sword and a seal the size of a quarter appeared on the bottom of the blade.
With Kisame
Kisame jumped over Manda's tail and hopped onto the snake's body; Kisame then cut Manda with his sword ripping flesh of the snake boss. Manda hissed in pain and threw Kisame off; Kisame crashed into a tree splintering it before getting out and removing his ruined Akatsuki cloak.
"Foolisssh Human" Manda hissed "Do you really think you can win againssst me" he said and Kisame chuckled.
"Arrogant bastard aren't you" Kisame said spitting some blood from his mouth "a fight isn't over until it's over" he said before charging at Manda while doing hand signs. 'Water Style: Water Dragon' just then a water dragon appeared out of the ground and went to Manda; Manda not dissuaded went to the Dragon and faced it head on.
Manda and the Dragon collided and Manda prevailed against the water dragon; however, he then saw Kisame coming from above with his sword held above his head.
"Raaaaaah" Kisame shouted as he swung down; Kisame with all his might brought Samehada down on Manda's head. Samehada bashed into Manda's head and with a dragging motion Kisame ripped off a portion of Manda's flesh and skull.
Manda began to flail around in pain until he saw Kisame; when he did, he unleashed a stream of poion from his mouth. Kisame dodged but not in time as his left side was hit by the poison as it began to eat away at his flesh.
Kisame's face and arm began to bubble and dissolve; Kisame felt the pain but suppressed his will to scream. Kisame using his remaining arm charged at Manda once more; Manda through blurry vision began to swing his tail at Kisame who jumped and dodged as he drew closer.
When Kisame was old a few feet away he jumped and brought Samehada with him; he then ripped Manda open along his belly spilling Manda's guts out of the torn opening. Kisame clamping up Manda reached his head and with one last swing hit Manda on the skull; the skull caved in and Samehada got ahold of the brain.
Kisame ripped Samehada out taking a chunk of brain with it as he jumped of the giant snake; Manda fell to the ground dead and Kisame landed with a thump.
"Oh hell" Kisame groaned "first Itachi and now Orochimaru's pet; god this is a bad week" he said as he summoned another healing shark. "Patch me up enough to where I can fight again" he said as the shark nodded and to remove the dead flesh and rebuild Kisame 'hold on Mei' Kisame thought.
With Mei
Mei dodged another one of Orochimaru sword strikes and countered by grabbing his arm; Mei using a judo move flipped Orochimaru and disarmed him of his sword. Orochimaru broke free and kicked Mei away; Orochimaru then saw he was a good distance away from his sword.
Mei then went through hand signs 'Lava Style: Lava prison' Mei then spat out Lava that formed a dome over the sword before cooling. "No more sword now Orochimaru" Mei said with a smirk "you going to give up and let me kill you; or you still going to fight a fruitless battle" she said taunting the snake sanin.
Orochimaru scowled as he ran at Mei, he was being beaten by a woman who was more than half his age "I will not be denied" Orochimaru said as he engaged Mei in a taijutsu battle. Mei and Orochimaru were exchanging blows; Orochimaru threw a punch that Mei blocked and followed up with a kick than landed.
Mei felt her ribs crack but powered through the pain; Mei then grabbed the leg and picked Orochimaru up and slammed him into the ground cracking it. Orochimaru coughed up blood and retaliated by throwing a kick that Mei dodged.
Orochimaru then went through hand signs 'Earth Style: Earth Spikes' earth spikes then began making their way out of the ground and heading towards Mei. Mei then went through hand signs herself.
'Lava Style: Lava wall' Mei then spat out Lava that formed into a wall and hardening stopping the earth spikes. Mei then went through another set of hang signs 'Earth Style: Cavern creation'.
Orochimaru felt the ground shake as he wondered what was happening; Orochimaru then felt the ground go out from underneath him as he plummeted; Orochimaru fell about 30 feet until he smacked into the bottom. When he looked up, he saw Mei standing at the edge going through hand signs.
'Boil release: Corrosive mist' Mei then released another cloud of boiling mist down into the cavern covering Orochimaru. Orochimaru was to distracted by the pain from the corrosive mist that he could not focus; he also could not shed his body because if he did then his new body will get immediately be assaulted by the mist.
Mei hearing Orochimaru's screams was going through a long series of hand signs "Enjoy hell you bastard" Mei shouted as she finished her final sign 'Lava Style: Great Volcanic Eruption' Mei then released a large current of Lava from her mouth down into the cavern.
Orochimaru at the bottom of the cavern could only look in horror as the tidal wave of Lava rushed down on top of him. "No, no please- "Orochimaru screamed as the Lava covered him and began to fill up the cavern.
Mei continued the jutsu for another 3 minutes until the lava was a foot away from the top; Mei then fell to a knee and wiped her mouth as she was breathing heavily. 'That took up a lot of Chakra' Mei thought 'but I finished him off' she thought as she stood up before wincing in pain. 'My ribs are cracked' Mei thought 'damn that was almost as bad as when I fought Yagura' she thought until she heard a pair of feet land behind her and saw Kisame.
"Is he dead" Kisame asked and Mei nodded.
"Unless he can survive being at the bottom of 29 feet of lava" Mei said making Kisame chuckle; she then saw that Kisame's right side was covered in shark and fish skin "what happened to you" she asked and Kisame spoke.
"Poison from the snake melted my flesh" Kisame said "the skins are going to repair me and prevent infection" he said. "You ready to go and check on Naruto" he asked and Mei held up a finger saying 'one second'.
Mei went over to the lava dome and kicked it breaking it; she picked Kusanagi and showed it to Kisame "Orochimaru won't be needing this" she said "got a little war trophy now" she said making Kisame chuckle. "Let's go" she said as she and Kisame left the area.
With Anko, Hiruzen and the medical staff: Forest tower
Anko was rolling on the ground in pain outside Naruto's room.
"Anko what is it" Hiruzen asked as he looked at her neck where she was grabbing; upon moving her hand he saw that Anko's curse mark was fading away.
"What is it" Anko groaned out.
"I…I… I think Orochimaru just died" Hiruzen said making everyone freeze.
With Sasuke
Sasuke was still unconscious in his own room; his curse mark began to burn away and he made a face of excruciating pain until it was over and the curse mark was gone.
A few hours later
Naruto opened his eyes with a groan "oh god what happened" he said as he looked around.
"You got stabbed what do you think happened" came a deep voice that mad Naruto sit up in fright until he fell back down due to the pain of his wound.
"Who's there" Naruto said as he looked around and saw no-one.
"Look at your sword" the voice said; Naruto looked over at his sword which was about 4 feet away. In the reflection he saw the reflection of a giant 9 tailed fox "Boo" the sword said making Naruto scream and the voice started laughing. "Hahaha that was worth the wait" the sword said; just then 4 figures burst into the room weapons drawn.
Hiruzen, Mei, Kisame and Anko barged in ready to fight only to see a frightened Naruto.
"Naruto" Mei shouted as she ran over and gave him a hug and a kiss on his cheek "are you ok; I was so- "she began.
"My sword just talked" Naruto shouted pointing at his sword.
"What the Executioners blade is sentient like Samehada" Kisame said confused at Naruto's statement.
"No one but you can here me boy" the sword said "I transferred myself overt to the sword; to escape being inside you. If I'm to be used as a weapon I'd rather be an actual weapon; besides now I will be cherished instead of hated" he said making Naruto scowl.
"Why would you do that instead of just leave my body and go on a rampage" Naruto said making everyone listening to him talk confused.
"Simple; I hate humans but I hate you the least" Kyuubi said making Naruto sweat drop "I'm now attached to the sword but I left my chakra in you; so, I will now be your partner and the partner of the next owner of the sword" Kyuubi said. "Now you better explain this to those humans and the fish man; they are looking at you like your crazy" he said before falling asleep.
Naruto gulped and looked at Hiruzen and Kisame "uhhhh…. So, about my sword" Naruto began.
5 Minute later
Hiruzen was staring wide eyed at the sword and Kisame was thinking.
"I see this as a total win" Kisame said with indifference making Hiruzen look at him with wide eyes.
"The most powerful biju in existence is now in a sword" Hiruzen said worried "what happens if someone kills Naruto and takes the sword" he said. Naruto then looked to the sword and nodded.
"Kyuubi says that he'll only fight with those he accepts" Naruto said "otherwise if someone steals him, he'll burn his hands" Naruto said making Hiruzen breath a heavy sigh.
"Naruto" Hiruzen said pointing at him "don't mention this to anyone; I have to look at every angle. If someone hears that the Kyuubi is inside the sword there will be riots in the street and calls for your head" Hiruzen said getting a worried nod from Naruto.
"Ok Ji-ji" Naruto said before looking at Kisame and Mei "hey what happened to that weird guy who attacked us" Naruto asked and Mei smiled.
"Oh, I buried him in Lava; no big deal" Mei said making everyone sweat drop "I'm just glad you're ok Naruto; I was really worried" she said making Naruto blush.
Anko then walked up "hey blondie" Anko said gaining Naruto's attention "technically you failed to complete the second exam" she said making Naruto look down in defeat. "But" Anko said making Naruto look up "since Orochimaru a S-class ninja interrupted your test; I'm willing to give you and your team a pass" Anko said making Naruto smile. "You should really thank her for passing you kid" Anko said pointing at Mei "it's mostly a favor to her for killing Orochimaru; so, don't expect any more help from me" Anko said before turning around and walking out.
Kisame then walked up and patted Naruto on the shoulder "you took one hell of a beating kid" Kisame said making Naruto smile "there was no way you could beat Orochimaru; but you stayed and fought despite the odds" he said with a proud smile. "You certainly earned those teeth" Kisame said before turning around and walking out "catch you later kid" Kisame said before vanishing.
"Lord Hokage" Mei said gaining Hiruzen's attention "can I talk to Naruto in private" she asked and Hiruzen nodded.
"Of course, Lady Mei" Hiruzen said before looking at Naruto "I'll come back for a debrief later" he said as he walked out closing the door behind him.
"Naruto" Mei said with total seriousness making Naruto stand on edge "there is something I need to talk to you about" Mei said.
Ok another chapter done; hopefully you all enjoy it. So yeah, Orochimaru is dead (there is now way a guy who nearly lost to a old man could beat a kage level shinobi in her prime with a badass Kekkei Genkai). Also, yes Kyuubi's soul is in the sword now; he'll now be like Naruto's battle partner like how Samehada is to Kisame (or to give you more of a perspective more like how Yugi and Yami Yugi is in Yu-Gi-Oh).
