Hello everyone I'm back once again to bring you another chapter of my story; if you are enjoying this story, please check out my other story 'Virtue and Venom' I'm trying to make it a little more popular. Also, some asshole has threatened me on here as well; yeah, he threatened me to write a review for someone named "Gina-Gail-Goodman-B" claiming she is a sight administrator and will steal my stories and ban be from the sight. Also, in her profile she said some fucked up shit; fucking trolls, so do what y'all want with that info. I will not back down nor will I scared of their threats; if I gotta I'll start up another profile and do it all over again. Ok then now with nothing else to say let's begin.
Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 10
Naruto was staring down Hidan who was smiling with malice and blood thirst; he was at least 50 yards away and Naruto was wondering how he should close the distance.
"Brat" Kurama said gaining Naruto's attention "pump some of my chakra into the blade" he said.
'What; why' Naruto thought in response.
"Just do it and follow my instructions" Kurama said; Naruto then sent some of the fox's chakra into the blade. The blade then went from it's shiny finish to a glowing red making Naruto's eyes widen. "Good now focus on the enemy and swing; I'll handle the rest" Kurama said; Naruto nodded and brought his sword back.
Naruto then swung his sword horizontally; Kurama then focused all the chakra built up in the blade and sent it towards Hidan. The red chakra was formed like a blade and was barreling towards Hidan; Hidan seeing this jumped over the blade of chakra to avoid getting bisected.
When Hidan landed he turned around and saw the devastation; at least 100 yards of trees behind him were cut down; the cuts that toppled the trees were scorched, the wood now either black or smoldering.
'Damn if I got hit with that I would've been fucked' Hidan thought as he looked back at Naruto.
'Holy shit that was cool' Naruto thought as he looked back down at his sword which was back to it's shiny polish 'what was that' Naruto asked.
"It was a concentrated blade of my chakra" Kurama said "My chakra is corrosive and very potent; when it makes contact it will scorch anything it touches and- that guy is running towards you" Kurama said as Naruto refocused and saw Hidan running toward him.
"Die you little shit" Hidan shouted as he threw his scythe at Naruto using the cable to guide it; Naruto humped over the scythe and ran at Hidan. Hidan collected his scythe and began a blade-on-blade battle with Naruto; Naruto swung his sword at Hidan who blocked it with his scythe.
Hidan hooked the sword and attempted to disarm Naruto; Naruto however went along with the disarm and closed the distance. Naruto proceeded to kick Hidan in the face before freeing his sword from Hidan scythe; Naruto the swung his sword slicing Hidan's gut open.
Naruto's eyes the widened when Hidan did not fall down but instead swung his scythe at Naruto; Naruto jumped away but not before being hit. Naruto landed and looked down at hid torn jacket.
Hidan looked at his scythe 'damn no blood' Hidan thought as he shoved his guts back into his body and tied his cloak around the wound to keep them from falling out. 'Oh well; I just need to try again' Hidan thought as he used the blood running down his leg to draw a symbol on the ground with his blood.
"I guess Kisame wasn't kidding" Naruto said gaining Hidan's attention "you really are immortal" he said and Hidan chuckled.
"So now you see that you cannot win huh kid" Hidan said and Naruto shook his head.
"Nah" Naruto said getting into his stance "if I can't win by killing you; it just means I need to chop your ass to pieces" he said making Hidan laugh.
"I'd like to see you try" Hidan said as he charged at Naruto once more.
With Itachi and Kisame
"Graaah" Kisame shouted as he sliced through one of Kakuzu's hearts; Kisame was then hit from behind by a bolt of lightning burning his back. Kisame then got back up and dodged a ball of fire before going through hand signs 'water style: Water wall' Kisame then created a wall of water that stopped another fireball coming at him.
Kakuzu's Fire and lightning hearts were staring at Kisame 'damn it' Kisame thought; 'I was able to take out the wind heart but now these 2 assholes are holding me up' he thought.
Kakuzu felt one of his hearts being destroyed but suppressed the pain; he then refocused on Itachi who was currently fighting against the Earth and Water hearts.
'Fire Style: Fireball jutsu' Itachi launched a fire ball at the hearts; the water heart then launched a stream of water at the fireball turning it into a cloud of steam. Itachi used the moment to close in and engage; Itachi took out several kunai and threw them at both hearts.
All kunai made contact with the hearts but did not kill them; Itachi then saw Kakuzu approach and got ready to defend himself. Kakuzu threw a punch reinforced with earth chakra; Itachi blocked the hit and felt his bones rattle from the concussive force.
Itachi then retaliated with a kick which landed hitting Kakuzu in the ribs; Kakuzu the grabbed Itachi's leg and lifted him up slamming him onto the ground. Itachi coughed up blood and then got mounted by Kakuzu; Kakuzu threw some punches and elbows at Itachi which landed on his face.
Itachi then turned the table and punched Kakuzu and kicked him off; Itachi then had to dodge a boulder coming at him courtesy of the earth heart puppet. Itachi landed a few yards away and looked at Kakuzu.
"Impressive Itachi" Kakuzu said "this almost reminds me of the time I fought the first Hokage" he said. Itachi then spat out some blood and looked at Kakuzu.
"I'm not going to lie" Itachi said "this is by far the second hardest fight I've been in" he said making Kakuzu cock his head.
"What was the first" he asked.
"When Kisame and Raiga beat me" Itachi said "but that was more due to a surprise attack" he said making Kakuzu chuckle.
"Well let's see if I can top that" Kakuzu said; just then both the earth and water hearts combined and began to expand. Both hearts then unleashed a combination of Earth and Water creating a wave of mud; Itachi went through hand signs.
'Earth Style: Stone pillars' Itachi then created a pillar under his feet lifting him above the wave of mud; he then jumped off and went through hand signs once more. 'Fire Style: Phoenix Flower' Itachi then launched several fire balls at Kakuzu and his hearts; both of the heart separated but the earth heart got hit by the fireball and killed.
Kakuzu winced once more 'damn 2 hearts down; only 3 left' Kakuzu thought 'Itachi and Kisame will make good replacements though' he thought as he readied for his counter attack.
With Naruto
Naruto and Hidan were both locked in a blade-on-blade battle; as both were trying their best to gain the upper hand. Naruto was cutting Hidan all across his body but was not making any difference as no matter how many times he gets cut Hidan wasn't going down.
Hidan was growing angry as he wasn't able to land a single hit on Naruto yet; Naruto's superior blade skill was showing. Hidan mostly used his scythe to cut his victims to use his technique; the problem was that Naruto was doing everything in his power to not get cut, his blade in particular was helping a lot since its thickness basically acted like a shield.
Hidan then had an idea; Hidan swung and Naruto and Naruto blocked with his sword. Hidan then twisted the blade and was able to pull Naruto towards him; Hidan then bit Naruto on his collar tearing out a bit of flesh.
"Agghhh" Naruto shouted as he kicked Hidan off "did you just bite me; you fucking psycho" Naruto shouted; Naruto then saw Hidan transform into a voodoo doll like form.
"Time for your judgment to begin" Hidan said as he began to run back to the symbol he drew on the ground; Naruto ran after him and was able to slice the back of his legs causing him to stumble. Hidan was about to fall but was kicked by Naruto; Hidan used his scythe to hook Naruto's sword and disarm him.
Naruto not hindered punched Hidan and got behind him; Naruto then grabbed Hidan and put him in a choke hold. Naruto began to squeeze choking Hidan; Hidan then took out his spike and stabbed through himself hitting Naruto.
Naruto let go and saw he was stabbed in his gut; it was bleeding but wasn't fatal, he then crawled over to his sword and grabbed it. Hidan then ran and got into the middle of the symbol.
"Now time for your judgement" Hidan said; he grabbed his spike and stabbed himself in the left arm.
Naruto then felt his arm go numb and then felt searing pain; Naruto fell to the ground clutching his arm 'what the hell' Naruto thought as he looked at Hidan who stabbed himself in a similar way to how Naruto was injured.
"Yes, yes, yes" Hidan said relishing in the high he was having; Hidan then pulled out the spike making Naruto cry out in pain again. "How about the liver next" Hidan said as he repositioned the spike; Hidan then pointed the spike at his liver and pierced himself.
Naruto couldn't even scream as he threw up blood 'oh god' Naruto thought; Hidan then began to twist and turn the spike making Naruto fall to the ground in agony.
"Almost there" Hidan said blissfully "now for the grand finale" Hidan said taking out the spike. Hidan then placed the spike over his heart.
Naruto looked on in horror; this was it. He was going to die here. Naruto then had a vision of Mei flash in his mind and he let out a single tear.
"M-Mei" Naruto gargled out "I-I'm sorry" he said as he looked on.
Hidan was about to stab himself through the heart until he was kicked in the face and fell out of the circle; the hit transferred over to Naruto and Naruto's head jerked to the side. Naruto then slumped to the ground as his vision became blurry.
"Who the fuck are you" Hidan shouted as he looked on at the one who interrupted his ceremony; he was an older man with long white hair, a headband with the word 'Oil' on it and had on a red Haori.
"The last thing you're going to see before you die" Jiraya said with a face full of fury; he then looked over at the bloody Naruto slumped on the ground 'Naruto, hold on; I'll get you some help after I deal with zombie boy here' Jiraya thought as he looked back over to Hidan.
Naruto was barely conscious as he gripped his sword; he then felt the world start to spin and then it went black.
Naruto's mind scape
Naruto opened his eyes and saw he was in a sewer; he looked around and then stood up.
"Is this the afterlife" Naruto said absently "kinda sucks to be honest" he said. He then heard a loud chuckle behind him; Naruto turned around and saw the 9-tail fox behind him.
"You're not dead yet boy" Kurama said "emphasis on yet; you are most certainly dying" he said; Naruto held his head down and began to feel sad, angry and regretful.
'I'm dying' Naruto thought 'I'm never going to be hokage, I'm never going to see Mei again… goddamn' he thought.
"You're not dead yet brat" came a voice that made Naruto flinch; Naruto turned and saw someone he hasn't seen in a long time "how's it going kid" Zabuza said standing there with a smile under his bandaged face.
"Zabuza" Naruto said "how the hell are you here" Naruto asked and Zabuza chuckled.
"A sword isn't just a weapon; it's the wielders soul in physical form" Zabuza said "I don't have a lot of time so listen up" Zabuza said and Naruto listened. "When Haku died I gave up; I went out in a blaze of glory because the only precious person I had died. I had nothing to live for; but you do. Mei is still alive and waiting to see you again brat; so, you gotta fight like hell in order to get to her. If your arms give out use your legs, if your legs give out use your teeth, and if your teeth break use your head as a damn wrecking ball; do whatever it takes to win. Or die trying" Zabuza said before turning around.
"Sorry I can't stick around kid; I gotta go" Zabuza said "oh and by the way; Haku says hi. And hopefully I won't be seeing you soon" Zabuza said before he faded away.
Naruto feeling his spirit reignite turned and looked at Kurama "He's right; I can't give up yet" Naruto said and Kurama chuckled "do you have any idea on how to keep me alive" he asked and the fox looked thoughtful.
"I do have one idea" Kurama said "but it will require me to use one tail of chakra; so you will only have 8 tails of chakra left and it will not be able to replenish" he said and Naruto nodded.
"Ok fine with me" Naruto said "let's do it" he said and Kurama began his work; red chakra began to form around Naruto and a tattoo began to form on Naruto's chest in the shape of a fox skull.
In the real world
Jiraya was still fighting Hidan when they both felt a powerful surge of chakra come from behind them; Naruto was getting up off the ground with a cloak of red chakra around him. The cloak then began to heal his wounds and change its shape; the cloak then concentrated itself and formed shin guards, arm guards, a breast plate and a tail. Chakra then went onto Naruto's head and formed a helmet in the shape of a fox head with Naruto's red slitted eyes showing behind the helmet.
'Oh god' Jiraya thought in horror 'did the fox take over; I gotta stop him' he thought.
"Haha" Hidan laughed "you're still alive; great now I can- "Hidan began until a red blur flashed in front of him.
Naruto was now standing behind Hidan as Hidan's head fell to the ground followed by his body; Naruto's sword was now glowing red like it came out of a forge. Naruto then lifted up his foot and then proceeded to stomp down on Hidan's head squashing it under his sandal.
"Good kit" Kurama said "You've taken him out now just- kit, kit" Kurama said but Naruto was not listening; Naruto's eyes were wide and vacant, his veins were glowing red and he was panting and grunting like a wild animal. "Kit listen to me damn it" Kurama said but Naruto ignored him 'Shit he's never been in this transformation before; he's completely lost it' he thought.
Naruto then let out a loud roar and ran off in the direction Kisame and Itachi went off in to fight Kakuzu.
Jiraya seeing this began to chase after him 'damn it what did I walk into' Jiraya thought as he chased after the feral Naruto.
With Itachi and Kisame
Itachi and Kisame were both fighting Kakuzu and his last heart which was the Fire heart; Kakuzu was in fighting hand to hand with Itachi while Kisame was fighting against the fire heart.
Itachi blocked another punch from Kakuzu and retaliated by kicking Kakuzu away; Itachi then went though hand signs and was about to launch a fire ball but stopped mid-way through and something crashed behind him.
Itachi turned around and saw Naruto wearing armor made of red chakra and wielding his blade that was glowing red 'Naruto; my god what happened' Itachi wondered.
Kakuzu was also looking at Naruto and began to feel uneasy 'that's the kyuubi container; what happened to him. And where is Hidan' Kakuzu wondered. Naruto then unleashed a feral shriek and charged at Kakazu; Kakuzu then charged his fist with Earth Chakra and waited until Naruto was in range.
Kakuzu then punched Naruto with all his power sending him into a boulder; Kakuzu still on guard waited to see what will happen.
Naruto crawled out of the boulder wielding his sword in his left hand; Naruto's right arm and left leg were both broken as his arm was bent 90 degrees backwards and his leg was twisted to the side.
Naruto then rose to his feet and a disgusting display the happened; Naruto's broken arm then snapped back into place with a wet pop and his leg twisted back into position with a sickening crackle.
Itachi had a strong stomach but that display nearly made him want to vomit 'did the armor just fix his wounds' he thought.
"How disturbing" Kakuzu said as he got ready; Naruto once more charged at Kakuzu. Naruto slashed at Kakuzu with his sword but Kakuzu blocked it with his hardened arm; Kakuzu then attempted to punch Naruto in his chest. The chakra armor took up the majority of the strike; Naruto coughed up blood showing internal damage, but to any normal person the punch would've been fatal.
Kakuzu was about to strike once more but was kicked by Itachi sending him skidding across the ground; Itachi then went through hand signs 'Fire Style Fire ball- 'Itachi began until he was kicked by Naruto forcing the fire ball into the air.
Kakuzu was surprised that Naruto attacked his own teammate; he was then once more on the defensive when Naruto charged at him. Kakuzu was getting ready to engage until he felt his body grow cold.
Kisame with a slash from Samehada killed Kakuzu's final heart killing the man; Kisame then began to run over to Itachi and arrived just in time to see Naruto.
Naruto cleaved through Kakuzu bisecting the man sending his top half flying; Naruto jumped after the top half and landed in front of it. Naruto then began to slash and hack the body to pieces like a wild animal; his sword was then stopped when it made contact.
"Naruto stop" Kisame shouted "it's over its-"he began until Naruto slashed at him nicking him slightly; Kisame looked down and saw that the cut was cauterized 'fucking hell' Kisame thought.
Naruto then began to sway side to side as he walked to Kisame to continue the fight.
'Susanoo' Itachi then summoned out his Susanoo and used its arm to grab Naruto and hold him still; "Jiraya now" Itachi shouted. Jiraya who was standing next to Itachi then ran up to Naruto with a rasengan in his hand.
"Arggaah" Jiraya shouted as he pressed the rasengan against Naruto's breast plate; the jutsu cracked the armor but did not break it. Naruto then began to go haywire and began to fight against Itachi's Susanno trying to break free. "It didn't break" Jiraya shouted.
"Move" Kisame shouted as he ran up; Kisame then brought back Samehada and slammed it against the cracked breast plate. Samehada with its chakra eating ability damaged it more.
"Keep going; I can't hold him much longer" Itachi shouted struggling to hold Naruto; Kisame then began to use his sword as a club trying to break the armor. After nearly 10 hits the armor finally broke revealing Naruto's stomach.
"Ok I got this" Jiraya said as he went through hand seals 'Five-pronged seal' Jiraya then slammed his hand into Naruto's gut forming a seal over his own seal. Naruto continued to struggle for a few more seconds until the red chakra armor faded away and he slumped forward unconscious.
Itachi canceled his Susanoo letting Naruto fall into the arms of Jiraya "holy shit" Jiraya said looking down at Naruto "that wasn't pleasant" he said.
"Hey look" Kisame said pointing at Naruto's right arm and left leg; both limbs were broken "shouldn't those be healed" he said and Itachi walked up.
"I saw them being snapped back into place" Itachi said looking at Naruto "it looks like the armor doesn't heal him; it just holds him together" he said. Jiraya then adjusted Naruto and looked at Kisame and Itachi.
"Both of you collect Naruto's sword and the bodies" Jiraya said "we are taking Naruto back to Konoha; I need to see the seal, check in with the Hokage and try and find out why one of my spies and a S-class missing ninja is doing training Naruto" he said and Kisame scoffed.
"First off ass wipe I'm a B-class missing ninja now" Kisame said making Itachi and Jiraya sweat drop "second; I'm his second sensei. So, eat a dick" he said.
Jiraya and Kisame both looked at each other with a lighting flying between their eyes; just then Itachi cleared his throat.
"Ummm… Naruto… Hospital" he said and both men then looked at Naruto; both men grumbled and walked off. Itachi then let out a sigh "*sigh* I'm surrounded by men who act like children" Itachi said ad he went off to collect Hidan's body while Kisame did the same with Kakuzu.
Konoha hospital
Naruto woke up in his hospital bed with a groan as he open his eyes; he looked around and saw Kisame sitting in a chair next to the bed with Naruto's sword beside him. Naruto then saw Itachi standing looking down at Naruto with come bandages covering his arm.
"Itachi, Kisame" Naruto said weakly "where are we" he asked.
"Back in Konoha kid" Kisame said "you got pretty fucked up; didn't want you to die so we came back here" he said. Naruto looked down and saw his arm and leg in a cast.
"When did I break those" Naruto asked "I thought I got stabbed" he said and Itachi spoke.
"You broke those when you fought Kakuzu" Itachi said "don't you remember" he asked and Naruto shook his head.
"How long was I out" Naruto asked and Itachi sighed.
"A week" Itachi said making Naruto's eyes widen "your chakra system was fried; your advanced healing is back so you should still be able to compete in the chunin exams in 2 weeks" Itachi said and Naruto nodded.
Just then the door opened up and came in Hiruzen and a white-haired old man that Naruto did not know.
"Naruto; thank kami you're awake" Jiraya said walking up.
"Umm who are you" Naruto asked and Hiruzen spoke up.
"He's my former student Jiraya" Hiruzen said stopping Jiraya from doing his stupid intro "After you left off to train Jiraya came back to the village; it took him a few days to get to you. I sent him there to help you train; but it looks like he was needed to help you in your fight" Hiruzen said as he walked up close.
"Naruto" Jiraya said walking up to him "I just want to tell you not to use that technique anymore; it did a lot of damage to you" he said and Naruto nodded. "The last thing we need is for you to kill yourself or someone else by going on another rampage" he said making Naruto pale.
"Rampage what do you mean" Naruto said and Jiraya looked at Itachi.
"He doesn't remember Jiraya" Itachi said and Jiraya nodded.
"Naruto" Jiraya began "I was sent here to train you and that's what I'm going to do; once you are healed me, Kisame and Itachi will train you for the chunin exams" he said making Naruto smile. "And once that's done, we will help you master that new technique of yours" he said and Naruto nodded.
"Gee thanks Jiraya" Naruto said and Jiraya nodded; Jiraya then reached into his pocket and pulled out a book.
"Here some reading material while you rest up" Jiraya said before he walked out. Naruto looked at the book and saw that it was a signed copy of Icha Icha paradise.
"What the hell" Naruto shouted "he's the guy who writes Kakashi's porn books" he said making Itachi, Kisame and Hiruzen chuckle.
In Otogakure: Kabuto's lab
"How are the preparation coming along" Kabuto asked an Oto commander.
"We are nearly done Lord Kabuto" the commander said "we have doubled the size of our invasion force and gotten more samples as requested" he said and Kabuto nodded.
"Good, good" Kabuto said adjusting his glasses "we will avenge Lord Orochimaru and see his dream come to fruition" Kabuto said. "We will destroy the hidden leaf, kill the hokage and the newly appointed Mizukage" Kabuto said "now leave me; I must continue my preparations" Kabuto said as the commander left the room.
'Soon you will know the wrath of Oto' Kabuto thought as he continued his experiments.

So basically, Naruto's chakra armor kinda acts like Gut's Berserk Armor from 'Berserk'; it numbs the pain and fixes you but it doesn't heal you, it just keeps you from dying.
