Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 12
Chunin exam arena
Naruto was standing in th middle of the arena with Karin, Ino, Gaara, Neji, Temari, Lee, Kankuro and Shikamaru; Naruto was looking around and didn't see the bane of his existence.
"Hey" Naruto shouted to the referee Genma "where's Sasuke; I came here to beat his ass" he said.
"You came here to become a chunin" Genma said.
"Become a chunin by beating his ass" Naruto corrected "damn it he better show up; I don't go through months of intense training, get attacked by a pedophile and fight a fucking zombie just for him to puss out now" Naruto said ranting and raving.
"Wait what happened" Ino asked looking at him confused.
"Don't worry about it" Naruto said.
With Mei, Hiruzen and the 'Kazekage'
"Where is the Uchiha" Mei asked "I want to see my Naruto beat him like the dog he is; also, I bet a lot of money on that match" Mei said making Hiruzen sweat drop.
"They better get here" Hiruzen said "otherwise both him and Kakashi will be genin for the rest of their lives" Hiruzen said his anger boiling up.
'Hmm while not a mission objective I would like to see the match' Kabuto thought while disguised as the Kazekage.
With Kisame and Raiga
"Ho shit I might win the motherload" Kisame said taking a bite of his hot dog "if that Uchiha shit doen't show it's gonna be a big ass payday" he said and Taiga chuckled.
"Don't count your chickens before they hatch" Raiga said before taking a sip of his soda "a lot can happen" he said.
With Ranmaru and Hanabi
"Let go" Raiga shouted "I want to see Naruto kick butt" he said before sitting back down re-adjusting his sword; Mei gave him the Kusanagi sword that was taken by Mei from Orochimaru. He was currently training to use it my Raiga and Kisame. "Hey Hanabi want some of my soda" Ranmaru said with a smile; Hanabi began to blush as she looked down at the soda.
'But his lips touched it; it's like a kiss almost' Hanabi then took a sip and handed it back to Ranmaru who took a sip directly after 'he just drank it' Hanabi thought as she began to fidget.
Hiashi who was sitting one row above them looked down at them 'first Hinata, now Hanabi; what is it with Hyuga women' he thought.
With Yugito and Kurosuchi: In a box
"Man, I can't believe we got these great seats" Yugito said looking down at the arena "and all to ourselves; Mei has some badass connections" she said.
"Hey where's Fu" Kurosuchi asked looking around "I swear she has been gone a while" she said.
"Hey guys" Fu chirped "look I found a hot guy" she said dragging Itachi along.
"Ummm hello there" Itachi said nervously "mind if I join you" he asked.
Back with Naruto
Naruto was now standing in the competitors' box with everyone except Ino and Karin who were down in the arena; Naruto was pissed as Sasuke didn't show up but he was willing to let it slide so he can root for Karin.
'Karin vs Ino' Naruto thought 'wonder how this is going to turn out' he thought; Naruto looked down and saw both Ino and Karin ready to begin their match.
With Karin and Ino
Karin and Ino were standing across from each other and planning their first moves; Genma looking at both girls raised his hand and spoke.
"Ok; first match Ino Yamanaka vs Karin Uzumaki" Genma announced "ready; begin" he shouted as he jumped back.
Ino struck the first blow by throwing a hail of kunai at Karin; Karin took out one of her own kunai and blocked them all. Karin then rushed Ino and threw her kunai at her blonde opponent; Ino dodged the kunai and then blocked a kick from Karin.
Karin and Ino both engaged in a taijutusu battle; neither girl was that skilled in taijutsu so neither did anything special. Karin blocked a punch from Ino and then countered with a kick to the ribs; Ino felt the kick but retaliated by grabbing Karin's leg and sweeping er other leg.
Karin fell to the ground and was mounted by Ino; Ino threw a punch catching Karin in her jaw. As she prepared to throw another punch Karin retaliated by punching Ino in the gut and then kicking her off.
Karin then got back up and revealed her chakra chains; Karin then sent the chains toward Ino. Ino then began to dodge the chains as she did very impressive acrobatics; when she landed, she went through hand signs.
'Fire Style: Fire ball jutsu' Ino then sent a small fireball towards Karin who dodged; Asuma was a master of fire jutsu so he taught her a basic fire jutsu to get her an edge.
Karin after dodging landed and sent her chains after Ino once more; Ino dodged again but her foot was caught and was then slammed onto the ground. Ino was then dragged over and held upside down at eye level; Karin then took out a kunai and held it to her neck.
"Do you give" Karin asked; Ino frowned and then groaned.
"Yes, I give up" Ino said reluctantly; Karin then let her down and Genma came back out.
"Match over; winner Karin Uzumaki" Genma announced and there was a generous applause from the crowd. Karin then walked over to Ino and gave her a hand.
"Good match" Karin said; Ino huffed and grabbed her hand and was helped up.
"You too" Ino said with a small smile.
With Naruto
Naruto was mildly impressed with the fight; he was surprised that Ino did so well, he half expected it to be a one-sided ass kicking from Karin. He then realized that his match was next; he began to shake and smile in excitement.
"Calm down dumbass" Kurama said from the sword "You need to keep your mind focused in order to win" he said. Naruto nodded.
"Oh, I'm focused alright" Naruto said with a smile "focused on kicking Sasuke's ass" he said with glee.
"Hey Naruto" Shikamaru butted in "who are you talking to" he said confused.
"My sentient sword; who else" Naruto said like it was obvious and making Shikamaru sweat drop.
"Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha come on down" Genma announced; Naruto immediately began going down the stairs ready to begin his destined match.
Naruto arrived to the center of the arena; there was a lot of booing from the crowd but he did not care. Naruto then looked around and saw that Sasuke was not there "Where the hell is that asshole" Naruto said "I came here specifically to kick his ass" Naruto said.
"Well, he has 15 minutes to get here otherwise he's disqualified" Genma said.
"*Hmph* he better show up in 15 minutes" Naruto said crossing his arms.
15 Minutes later
"Winner by default Naruto Uzumaki" Genma announced.
"No, no goddamn way" Naruto shouted as Mei, Anko and Karin all tried to drag Naruto out of the arena "I didn't train my ass of to win by default" he shouted in protest.
"Sorry kid but-" Genma began until a swirl of leaves appeared in the middle of the arena; Sasuke and Kakashi were both standing there.
"Sorry are we late" Kakashi said lazily.
"Yes, you are; Sasuke is disqualified" Genma said making both Sasuke and Kakashi go wide eyed "now how about- "Genma began until he paused. "You know what… fuck it; I'm in charge of this exam" Genma said "Sasuke Uchiha has arrived; he is still disqualified but if he so chooses, he can still fight" he said.
Sasuke had an angry look on his face as he looked at Kakashi; he then looked over to the scowling Naruto being held back by 3 women "I'll fight" Sasuke said and the crowd erupted in cheers.
"Ok then; Naruto Uzumaki stay here" Genma said; Naruto was then let go.
"Good luck Naruto" Mei said giving him a kiss on the cheek to the confusion to the crowd.
"Good luck stud" Anko said slapping him on the butt and making him blush in embarrassment.
"Good luck Kurama" Karin said.
"Ummm I'm the one doing the fighting" Naruto said insulted; Karin blushed and scratched the bask of her head.
"And good luck to you too Naruto" Karin said before running out of the arena.
Naruto then turned and looked at Sasuke "it's about time we got to fight" Naruto said with a smile "tell you what; I promise not to mess up that pretty boy face of yours too bad" Naruto said and Sasuke scoffed.
"You don't stand a chance loser" Sasuke spat out "I'm going to show everyone that I'm an elite; while you are nothing but a clan less loser" Sasuke said with a smirk.
In the Stands
Sakura Haruno was looking down with a smile as Sasuke finally arrived 'yay Sasuke showed up' Sakura thought 'now he can put that idiot Naruto back in his place' Sakura thought. Sakura then focused on the match down below waiting to see Sasuke fight Naruto.
Back with Naruto and Sasuke
"Ok enough smack talk" Genma said "Naruto Uzumaki vs Sasuke Uchiha; begin" Genma said starting the match. Genma then jumped away; Sasuke activated his sharingan just in time to see Naruto's fist collide with his face. Naruto's punch sent Sasuke skidding across the ground; the crowd in the stands were stunned as they did not expect to see Naruto move that fast.
Sasuke then got back up and went through hand signs 'Fire Style: Fire ball Jutsu' Sasuke then shot a large fire ball at Naruto. Naruto then went through hand signs himself.
'Water Style: Water wall' Naruto then took the water out of his canteens and made a wall of water in front of him; the wall of water weakened the fire ball enough for Naruto to grab his sword and use it like a fan blowing out the fire ball.
Naruto not willing to pause then charged at Sasuke; Naruto flipped his blade around to use the blunt side of it. Naruto slashed at Sasuke who ducked under the giant sword; Naruto used the momentum of the sword to spin himself around. Naruto then spin kicked Sasuke in the face once more; sending him skidding across the ground.
In the stands
Kakashi who was at first confident that Sasuke would win now began to feel worried; Naruto was more or less dominating the fight.
"Oh shit" Kakashi said "this isn't how I thought this would look" he said; he then heard laughing from Anko.
"Man, I'd hate to be you Kakashi" Anko said eating a piece of dango "first you're late, now your student is getting his ass kicked, man sucks to suck" she said. Kakashi grew aggravated.
"It's not over yet" Kakashi said as he refocused on the fight down below.
With Sasuke and Naruto
Naruto put his sword onto his back and charged at Sasuke; Sasuke getting back up rushed at Naruto and the 2 began an exchange of fists. Naruto threw a punch at Sasuke to which Sasuke was ready to block; but at the last moment Naruto changed the angle and nailed Sasuke in the abdomen instead of the chin.
Sasuke reeling from the punch then saw a low kick coming in; he attempted to jump over it but Naruto changed the angle once more and kicked Sasuke in the chest sending him spalling onto the ground.
"Really is that all you got" Naruto taunted.
'What's going on' Sasuke thought 'he's countering my sharingan and my interceptor fist; how is this possible' he thought.
With Itachi
'Looks like my tutoring has paid off' Itachi thought; he then felt something grab onto his arm. He saw that Fu had locked arms with him and was smiling. 'Huh… her green hair is pretty cute' Itachi thought.
With Naruto and Sasuke
Sasuke was getting back up on shaky legs; Naruto then decided to do what Raiga and Kisame told him to do. Taunt him and make him lose his cool.
"Man, if you're the future of the Uchiha clan then I feel sorry for you" Naruto said gaining his attention "I mean if you can't beat me how can you beat Itachi huh" Naruto said with a smirk. Naruto then saw that the mere mentioning of Itachi worked as Sasuke grew angrier than he already was.
"Never say his name" Sasuke roared as he charged Naruto; Naruto smirked as Sasuke drew closer. When Sasuke was in range Naruto grabbed his sword and swinging it hit Sasuke in his ribs with the blunt side; Sasuke spat up blood and was sent into the ground once more.
"Hey Sasuke this is getting a little embarrassing" Naruto said honestly "I think I already proved my point so let's just- "he began until Sasuke went through hand signs again.
'Fire Style: Phoenix Flower jutsu' Sasuke then shot out several small fire balls at Naruto; Naruto then went through hand signs himself.
'Water Style: Water Shark bomb' Naruto using his refilled canteens sent a single shark bomb at the small fire balls; the 2 justu's collided and canceled each other out. Naruto then went through a second set of hand signs 'Toad Style: Toad Oil Slick' Naruto then sent a ball of oil at Sasuke.
Sasuke was hit dead on with the oil and slipped on the ground; Sasuke then tried to get back up but fell once again.
"Hey Sasuke this is silly just give up and- "Naruto began.
"Never" Sasuke shouted as he went through hand signs "I will never lose to a reject like you" Sasuke roared as he held his hand down and lightning began to crackle.
With Kakashi
Kakashi began to panic; he only taught Sasuke that technique to use in case he fought against Gaara. He never intended for Sasuke to use it against a fellow Konoha shinobi; especially Naruto.
"Sasuke stop don't do it" Kakashi shouted as he began to run down the steps.
With Naruto
Naruto was seeing Sasuke charge up a Chidori and was feeling scared; he saw what that jutsu did to Haku and he didn't want that to happen to him. He then realized something else; Sasuke was charging lighting while covered in a water-based oil.
"Sasuke stop don't charge up that jutsu" Naruto shouted but it was too late.
Sasuke's fully charged Chidori then began to travel along the oil on his body and began to electrocute him; Sasuke began to scream in agony as his own jutsu began to fry him.
"Oh shit" Naruto shouted as he saw Sasuke get electrocuted; Naruto then grabbed his sword and then threw it blunt side first towards Sasuke. The blunt side of the sword hit Sasuke knocking him out of the puddle of oil and landing a few feet away; the Chidori then began to fade and Sasuke just laid on the ground unconscious.
Sasuke had burns along his body as his left hand was charred black and his face had several burns too.
"Holy shit" Naruto said as he looked at Sasuke; Naruto then realized something "holy shit" he said his eyes getting wide. "You emo asshole; you were trying to kill me just now" Naruto shouted as he began to march over to Sasuke but was stopped by Genma.
"Stop it's over; don't spoil your victory" Genma said; Kakashi then landed next to Naruto.
"Naruto, I'm sorry; I swear I didn't expect him to use that jutsu on you" Kakashi said "I would never allow him to use that jutsu on a comrade; I made him promise" Kakashi said sincerely.
Naruto was fuming mad; not at Kakashi but at Sasuke. Naruto was half tempted to grab his sword and cleave Sasuke in half and finish the job; however, he just picked up his sword and started to walk away.
"Fuck him" Naruto said "Kakashi sensei" Naruto said gaining his attention. "Give the bastard a spanking when he wakes up" he said and Kakashi eye smiled.
"When he waked up I'm going to haze the dog shit out of him" Kakashi said and Naruto chuckled as he walked away.
"Winner Naruto Uzumaki" Genma shouted; the crowd was half and half. Half booed as the Kyuubi brat won over the Uchiha; while the other half cheered for Naruto as they could not believe that Sasuke was about to kill him over something so petty.
With Naruto
Naruto was walking up to the Kage box when he saw Mei and Hiruzen walk out.
"Naruto you won" Mei cheered as she grabbed him and brought him in for a hug "I knew you could do it" she said. Naruto hugged her back and smiled.
"Well, you deserve most of the credit" Naruto said "without you training me I wouldn't have made it so far" Naruto said.
"Nonsense Naruto" Hiruzen said "You did this by your own will power; Mei and the others just guided you in the right direction" Hiruzen said and Naruto smiled.
"Thanks, I appreciate it" Naruto said; he then turned serious "what about Sasuke" he asked and Hiruzen grew serious as well.
"Oh, don't worry" Hiruzen said with a evil smirk "I will deal with it personally" he said; Naruto then spoke up.
"Don't go to hard on Kakashi though" Naruto said surprising the both of them "he may be lazy and an idiot but he's not malicious" Naruto said and Hiruzen nodded.
"Very well; I won't punish him as much" he said and Naruto nodded "you better get back to the competitors booth; don't want to miss the next matches" Hiruzen said and Naruto nodded.
"I hear that" Naruto said; he then kissed Mei and began to leave "later Ji-ji, later Mei" Naruto said as he walked away.
"Oh, he's so cute when he's happy" Mei said to which Hiruzen chuckled "and he just won me, Kisame and Itachi 4.5 million Ryo each" she said making Hiruzen go wide eyed.
"Wait how much" Hiruzen shouted "I only bet 60,000 Ryo; goddamn it" Hiruzen said as he walked back into, he kage booth with Mei following behind him.
With Naruto
Naruto was walking to the competitors' box when he saw an angry looking Sakura coming his way 'oh shit here we go' Naruto thought.
"Naruto you idiot" Sakura shouted as she brought back her fist "how could you- "she began until Naruto caught her fist. Naruto then kicked her into a wall knocking the wind out of her.
"Fuck off Haruno" Naruto said as he walked by the wheezing pink haired girl.
Naruto then entered the competitors' box and stood next to Karin "great job Naruto" Karin said "looks like we'll be fighting each other in the next round' she said and Naruto nodded.
"I kinda wonder who will win" Naruto said looking puzzled "I'm a better fighter but you are a better strategist and have those chains of yours" Naruto said.
"I don't know Naruto; but don't count yourself short" Karin said "your strategy to beat that Sasuke guy was pretty good" Karin said. Naruto smiled.
"Thanks Karin; now let's see these fights" Naruto said as he looked down in the arena as the fight between Gaara and Neji Hyuga began.
The fight was very one sided as Gaara was toying with Neji; Neji was a close-range fighter while Gaara was long range and had his sand to protect through the fight Gaara encased himself in a dome of sand and Neji tried everything to pierce his dome. As the fight went on there was an explosion that erupted from the Kage booth.
"Mei, Ji-ji" Naruto shouted as he looked at the giant ball of fire; as he began to leave, he and Karin began to defend themselves against Kankuro and Temari.
Naruto and Karin both jumped down into the arena with Kankuro and Temari following; Naruto was about to fight back until the ground started to rumble. Naruto and Karin turned and saw that Gaara exit the dome of Sand; Gaara was half transformed as half his body no longer looked human.
Gaara then rushed out of the arena and into Konoha.
"Oh fuck" Naruto shouted; just then Shikamaru and Lee jumped down and stood in front of Naruto and Karin.
"Naruto, Ms. Karin; leave them to us" Lee said taking up his fighting stance "go and chase after that Gaara fellow" Lee said. Naruto was hesitant but he looked at Shikamaru and Lee and nodded.
"You take care" Naruto said as he and Karin both chased after the rampaging Gaara "what the hell is going on" Naruto said.
"I don't know" Karin said "but we have to stop that Gaara guy at all costs" Karin said and Naruto nodded.
With Mei,Hiruzen and Itachi
Mei and Hiruzen were standing inside a barrier looking at the 'Kazekage'; Itachi seeing te explosion rushed to their aid and ended up getting trapped with them.
"So Itachi Uchiha is still loyal to the leaf" the 'Kazekage' said "how touching" he said.
"Who are you and what do you want" Hiruzen said as he shed his kage robes.
"I am here to avenge Lord Orochimaru" the 'Kazekage' said before shedding his cloak; Hiruzen, Mei and Itachi all looked on in horror. Kabuto no longer looked human as his skin was now white and scaley' he also had a weird snake thing coming out of his stomach.
"Ughhh you are one ugly motherfucker" Mei said; Kabuto did not retort as he took out 3 scrolls.
"I have planned for this for well over a month; now it's time to see the leaf village fall" Kabuto said as he unrolled the 3 scrolls and revealed 3 figures.
Hiruzen recognized 2 figures; one was his old teacher Hasirama Senju, the second was Kushina Uzumaki Naruto's mother and the last was Fugaku Uchiha Itachi's father.
"Oh shit" Hiruzen said "this is bad" Hiruzen said worried.
"And it's about to get worse" Kabuto said as he made a hand seal.
On the village walls
A sound ninja holding 3 scrolls then received the signal form Kabuto 'it's time' he thought; he then unrolled the scrolls and several more figures appeared.
The second Hokage Tobirama Senju, the former Mizukage Yagura and Sakumo Hatake the white fang of the leaf.
"What is this" Sakumo asked looking around "is this heaven or hell" he asked.
"Neither" Tobirama said "this is the land of the living; we are here because of the Edo Tensei, a jutsu of my own creation" he said.
"Wait how am I dead" Yagura asked "last I remember I was fighting that masked man in the woods" he said.
"Enough talk" the sound ninja said "you have your orders; go in and destroy all resistance" he said. The 3 resurrected ninja then leaped into the village ready to begin their part in the destruction of the leaf.
With Naruto
Naruto had a feeling of dread wash over him; he then ignored it as he continued his way through the village.
'Everyone please be safe' Naruto thought as he followed the trail of carnage left by Gaara.
Ok another chapter done I hope you all enjoyed it; so yeah, it's gonna get bad. Kushina, Tobirama, Fugaku, Hashirama, Yagura and Sakumo are all here and ready to knock some heads. Now then please like, comment and share with your friends; and until next time bye.
