Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 13
With Naruto and Karin
Naruto and Karin were standing on a roof top looking at Shukaku tear apart the center of the village; both were in awe as they saw its destructive power. Down below there were hundreds of civilians running away in fear; the last time they seen such destructive power was when the Kyuubi attacked over 13 years ago. Several anbu and jounin were fighting in vain to stop the rampaging biju
Naruto swallowed hard; he was scared. Who wouldn't be when facing such an overwhelming force rampaging across the village; Naruto then suppressed his nerves and got a look of determination.
"Boy; Karin" Kurama said gaining Naruto and Karin's attention "you 2 are the villages best hope for stopping Shukaku; hold nothing back, use everything you got" he said and both nodded.
"Ok" Karin said as she summoned out 2 chakra chains from her back.
"Ok fox" Naruto said; he then began to release his biju chakra and it formed into his chakra armor. As the helmet formed, he saw the world start to turn red; Naruto had to suppress the feeling of malice and hate growing inside of him. The world then began to turn back to normal and Naruto let out a breath of relief.
"Alright then" Naruto said readying his sword "lets do this" he said as he and Karin went in to begin their fight.
With Hiruzen, Itachi and Mei
"Hiruzen who are those people" Mei asked and Hiruzen grunted.
"Fugaku Uchiha; former head of the Uchiha clan, head of the police and Itachi's father. Hashirama Senju; the first hokage and one of my mentors. And Kushina Uzumaki; elite jounin and Naruto's mother" Hiruzen said and Mei grew wide eyed.
"Naruto's mother" Mei said; Kushina listening to this spoke up.
"Wait Naruto's here? How old is he, how long have I been gone" Kushina asked and Hiruzen spoke up.
"13 years have passed Kushina" Hiruzen said "Naruto is a ninja and as of 30 minutes ago he was participating in the chunin exams" he said and Kushina smiled.
"Good for him" Kushina said "does he have a lot of friends; what about a girlfriend" she said. Hiruzen and Mei both coughed.
"Well Naruto has some friends" Hiruzen said "but the majority of the village hates him for holding the Kyuubi" he said and Kushina went wide eyed. "But he does have a girlfriend" he said and Kushina perked up.
"Really? What's her name? What's she like" Kushina asked; Mei then raised her hand and spoke.
"Hi. My name is Mei Terumi" Mei said with a smile shocking Kushina "I'm from Kiri, I'm the new Mizukage, and me and Naruto have been dating for about a month now; although we've known each other a little longer than that" Mei said. Kushina was slacked jawed.
"Are you freaking serious" Kushina shouted in disbelief and pointing at Mei "she's like super model levels of sexy; my son got a sexy, older girlfriend who happens to be the Mizukage" she said. "Not that I'm upset or anything" Kushina said to Mei "I'm just surprised that's all" she said and Mei nodded and smiled.
"None taken" Mei said "although I must say I see where Naruto got his face from; I think I would've liked him more with your color hair though, it looks pretty and exotic" she said and Kushina blushed at the praise. Hiruzen then began to laugh and Kushina looked at him.
"If you think that's surprising" Hiruzen said gaining Kushina's attention "I'm currently in a romantic relationship with your old friend Tsume" Hiruzen said rubbing the back of his neck. Kushina then began to rub her temples.
"Wow this is a lot to take in" Kushina said scratching her head.
"Enough talk" Kabuto said gaining all their attentions "Kushina; kill the Mizukage. Fugaku; kill itachi. And Hashirama kill the Hokage" Kabuto said.
Hiruzen summoned out his staff, Itachi activated his sharingan and Mei got into her taijutsu stance; all readied themselves as the 3 reanimated ninja charged at them.
With Kakashi and Guy
"Raikiri" Kakashi shouted as he thrust his lightning attack at his reanimated father; Sakumo ducked and kicked him in the ribs. Sakumo then pulled out his short sword and was about to slash at Kakashi but was stopped by Guy; Guy used his nun-chucks to stop the sword. Guy attempted to kick Sakumo but missed when Sakumo jumped away.
Sakumo landed "you have grown strong Kakashi" Sakumo said "you aren't a failure… like me" Sakumo said and Kakashi winced.
"You're wrong father" Kakashi said taking out a kunai "I have failed; I have failed all of my students. But I'm going to rectify those mistakes; and I will start by giving returning you to the afterlife" Kakashi said and Sakumo frowned.
"I was never in the afterlife Kakashi" Sakumo said "I was in purgatory; waiting for you. To ask for forgiveness" Sakumo said and Kakashi sighed.
"I understand" Kakashi said "well I do forgive you; it's taken me a long time and lots of failure on my part but I see why you did what you did" he said and Sakumo smiled.
"Thank you Kakashi" Sakumo said "now please stop me; I wish to see your mother again" he said and Kakashi nodded.
"Ok father" Kakashi said; Kakashi and Guy both went in again to try and stop the reanimated 'White Fang of Konoha'.
With Kisame and Jiraya
Kisame swung Samehada at the reanimated second Hokage who ducked under the giant sword; Tobirama then punched Kisame in the gut sending him flying back. Kisame dug his heels into the ground and stopped himself; he then went through hand signs.
'Water Style: Water shark bomb jutsu' Kisame then created water out of chakra and launched 6 water sharks at Tobirama; Tobirama went through hand signs himself.
'Water style: Water wall' Tobirama created a giant wall of water out of chakra as well; the water sharks hit the wall and were stopped. Tobirama's relief was short lived as just right behind the water sharks there was Jiraya with a rasengan in his hand; the rasengan cut through the water wall and hit Tobirama in his left chest.
Tobirama not deterred kicked Jiraya in the side sending him skidding on the ground; Tobirama's damage began to heal and he chuckle.
"Amazing" Tobirama said to Kisame "I never thought I'd see another living being as skilled at water jutsu as me" he said and Kisame smirked.
"Well, I am from Kiri and a one of the seven swordsmen" Kisame said and Tobirama nodded; Tobirama then looked over to Jiraya.
"And you have one of the best jutsu's I have ever seen" he said and Jiraya smiled.
"It's my students actually; he was a ninjutsu and sealing specialist" Jiraya said "he makes me look like a joke" Jiraya said and Tobirama nodded.
"Well, I created this jutsu so I can tell you this" Tobirama said to Jiraya "use a chakra restraining seal then a paralyzing seal; one you put those on me I'll walk you through what to do next" Tobirama said to both of their surprise. "I wish to assist you but you must break me free of my bondage first" he said and Jiraya and Kisame nodded.
"Well don't cry if we accidentally kill you" Kisame said getting ready once more "after all I have a student that I have to help as soon as I can" Kisame said and Tobirama nodded.
"I understand" Tobirama said getting back into his combat stance "now let's begin shall we" he said.
With Yugito, Fu, and Kurosuchi
"Take this" Yugito shouted as she slashed Yagura with her claws; Yagura blocked with his staff but was then blinded by a bright light. Fu blinded Yagura with her jutsu creating a opening.
"Kurotsuchi; get him now" Fu shouted and Kurotsuchi nodded a she went through hand signs.
'Lava style: Quicklime bullets' Kurotsuchi fired several quicklime bullets at Yagura which hit but did not stop him form regenerating. Yagura then jumped back and got into a stance.
"Please stop me" Yagura begged "I cannot control my body; I don't want to hurt anyone" he said. All 3 women looked at the reanimated Mizukage with pity as he was just an unfortunate victim to the plans of a mad man.
"Don't worry we'll stop you" Yugito said as she began to release her biju chakra and 2 tails formed as she began to look more cat like.
"You will find peace" Fu said as she grew insect wings from her back and began to fly.
"I'm sorry this happened to you" Kurotsuchi said as she got into a fighting stance.
"I thank you all" Yagura said "I no longer have the 3 tails but I'm still dangerous; so, watch my mirrors and my coral" he said. Just then 3 water mirrors former and coral began to grow from under his feet.
Both biju containers and the Iwa Kunoichi got ready as this will be the hardest battle they have ever faced.
With Mei
Mei was currently trading blows with Kushina; Mei threw a series of combo's at Kushina who ducked and weaved under her attacks. Kushina then countered with a slash from her sword which knicked Mei's dress but did not cut her directly.
Mei then jumped back and went through hand signs 'Lava Style: Molten River' Mei then let a stream of Lava out of her mouth towards Kushina. Kushina seeing the attack jumped over the lava but not in time as her foot got covered; Kushina landed on the ground falling down a she lost her balance. Mei then went in to continue her attack but was stopped when Kushina summoned out her chakra chains; Mei was not dodging the chakra chains which were coming at her at an incredible speed.
Mei ducked and dodged but the chains were coming at her too fast; Mei was then hit twice by the chains once on her left arm and once on her back leaving a long slash mark. Mei then decided to retreat outside the range of the chains and Kushina stood up on her newly reformed foot.
"Wow you are really strong" Kushina said happily "I'm so glad my little Naruto found a strong girl like you" she said and Mei blushed.
"Thank you" Mei said with a small smile "it means a lot to me for you to say that" she said as she got back into her stance again. "Let's continue shall we" Mei said and Kushina nodded; both women charged at each other and began their battle once more.
With Itachi
'Fire Style: Fireball jutsu' Itachi launched a fire ball at Fugaku who countered with his own equally powerful fireball. Both jutsu's collied and created a giant inferno that canceled each other out; Fugaku then had to defend himself against Itachi who closed the distance.
Itachi threw a punch at Fugaku who slapped it aside and countered with a punch of his own; Itachi blocked and grabbed the arm flipping Fugaku who caught himself before he could hit the ground. Fugaku then attempted to kick Itachi in the side of the head but Itachi jumped back dodging the kick; Fugaku then got back up and chased after Itachi going on the offensive.
"You disappointment me Itachi" Fugaku said while attacking "I taught you everything you know; how could you possibly beat me in a fight" he said.
"You didn't teach me everything" Itachi said as he grabbed the arm that was about to hit him; Fugaku got ready to block a punch from Itachi. However, he was caught off guard when Itachi headbutted him on the nose caving his face in; Itachi then swept Fugaku's feet from under him and then proceeded punt him across the roof top. "I learned that from Naruto" Itachi said remembering the time Naruto headbutted him in a sparring match and landing the only solid hit he ever made on him.
Fugaku got back up reforming with a look of anger on his face and his sharingan blazing "you will pay for that Itachi; and you will pay for slaughtering the clan" he said with venom. Itachi sighed and began to form his imperfect Susanoo.
"With all honesty father" Itachi said "I should've been more thorough; Sasuke has turned into the exact opposite of how I wanted him to be" he said. "I am not sorry for my sins; I am and will always be a murderer" Itachi said "but I must say; I will enjoy killing you for a second time. Only this time I'll be even more justified" he said as his Susanoo formed and got its sword ready for battle.
With Hiruzen
Hiruzen was fighting against Hashirama in a fast pace taijutsu match; Hiruzen was using his bo staff to fight Hashirama. Hiruzen swung his staff at Hashirama who blocked and closed in to Hiruzen; Hashirama then kicked Hiruzen in the chest and disarmed him of his staff. Hashirama was about to hit Hiruzen wih the staff but the staff turned into the monkey king Enma.
"Unhand me boy" Enma shouted as he slashed Hashirama across the back of the head with his claws; Hashirama caught completely off guard by this was hit directly. Hashirama then threw Enma across the roof; Hiruzen then saw in the back of Hashirama's head there was a tag. Hiruzen's eyes then widened as he found out how to stop the edo tensei.
"Mei, Itachi; destroy the tags inside their heads. It's what's keeping them stable" Hiruzen shouted as he got back up and picked up Enma once more. "Let's go old friend; we have a battle to continue" Hiruzen said.
"Let's go Hiruzen" Enma said as they reengaged with Hashirama.
With Kisame and Jiraya
Tobirama was in a 3-sided taijutsu match with Kisame and Jiraya both attacking him at once; Jiraya threw a kick at Tobirama's head. Tobirama blocked it with his arm and then countered with a punch to which Jiraya dodged; Kisame came at Tobirama from down below and slashed at him with Samehada.
Kisame hit Tobirama in the legs with Samehada cutting them off; Jiraya seeing this grabbed Tobirama and slammed him on the ground. Jiraya then went through hand signs and hit Tobirama with a chakra sealing jutsu.
"Seal" Jiraya shouted as the seal spread over Tobirama's body; Tobirama then tried to get up but Kisame hopped on top of him holding him down.
"Hit him with the second seal" Kisame said as he held the struggling Tobirama down; Jiraya quickly went through hand signs and slammed his hand on Tobirama's back.
"Seal" Jiraya shouted as the paralysis seal formed on Tobirama's back and he became still; "ok" Jiraya huffed "we got him" he said.
"Ok now then" Tobirama said while lying on the ground "you will need to alter the tag they put in my head; so, listen to me carefully" he said.
With Naruto and Karin
Naruto ran at Shukaku while dodging sand bullets and the thrashing of his tail; Naruto charged up his sword with biju chakra until it was glowing red. Naruto swung the sword and launched a blade of chakra at the rampaging demon; the attack hit and created a gash on the side of Shukaku.
And all it did was piss it off; Shukaku swung his tail at Naruto who could not dodge. Naruto charged up his sword once more and then launched the blade of chakra at the tail comping towards him; the attack hit the tail slowing it down slightly but did not stop it.
Naruto was hit by the tail and was sent flying through a few buildings; Naruto stopped when he hit the wall of building number 4. Naruto's body was a tangled mess as his arms, legs, neck and back were all bent twisted in odd directions.
Naruto's left arm began to twist itself back into place with a series of wet pops starting at his fingers and working it's way up his arm.
'God I'm glad I can't feel any pain' Naruto thought as his chakra armor was straightening out his body 'although if it's anything like last time this is going to hurt like a motherfucker when the armor is canceled' he thought.
Shukaku began to follow the trail Naruto made when he went through the building but was stopped when 2 chakra chains came out of nowhere and pierced his right leg.
Karin detached the chains from her back and stuck them into the ground as she began to run behind Shukaku.
'Naruto get your ass in gear' Karin thought 'I can't fight this thing alone' she thought; she then saw Shukaku turn towards her. 'Oh shit' Karin thought; Shukaku then unleashed a gale of wind from his mouth and Karin was blown away.
Karin using her head made 2 chakra chains from the bottom of her feet and anchored herself to the ground; she felt her glasses about to fall off and held them onto her face while the gale of wind continued.
After a few second the winds died down and Karin landed on shaky legs "crap" Karin said as she looked at Shukaku as it began to storm towards her. Just then she saw a red figure begin to ascend the biju.
"You won't get rid of me that easily" Naruto shouted as he ran up Shukaku's arm slashing and dodging sand tendrils that sprouted from the appendage. As Naruto slashed the arm once again, he then felt his feet sink into the spot he was standing on; Naruto realized what happened and charged his feet with chakra.
Naruto then jumped off and landed on a roof top down below "Naruto" Karin shouted as she ran towards him "are you ok" she asked and Naruto chuckled.
"Most of my bones were broken until a few minutes ago" Naruto said with a smile hidden under his chakra helmet "well at least we made some progress" Naruto said and Karin looked at him confused.
"How did we make progress" Karin asked and Naruto pointed.
"He's so focused on killing us that he's no longer attacking the village" Naruto said as Shukaku began to march towards them.
"Well let's keep at it" Karin said "hopefully the others are dealing with the invasion well enough so they can help us when they are done" she said as she created 2 more chakra chains.
"That's what I'm hoping for" Naruto said "I hope we are buying enough time" he said.
With Jiraya and Kisame
"Done" Jiraya said as he put the tag back in Tobirama's head; Tobirama's eyes opened and began to reform his legs. Once done Tobirama stood up and flexed his body.
"I have full control again" Tobirama said and both Kisame and Jiraya smiled; Tobirama then looked off in the distance at the barrier on top of the chunin exam stadium. "I will go and deal with the scoundrel who reincarnated me" he said with venom in his voice "you 2 deal with the other 2 who were with me" he said as he began to run across the village.
"Looks like the tides are turning" Kisame said as he faced another direction "I'm heading to that battle to the north of us; call me suspicious but I think I recognize that chakra signature" he said and Jiraya nodded.
"I'll handle the one to the east" Jiraya said facing that direction "I believe I saw Kakashi along with Guy fighting his father over there" he said and Kisame raised a eye brow.
"Sakumo Hatake was revived too" Kisame said "looks like the guy behind this pulled no punches with this attack" he said. "Good luck Pervy Sage" Kisame said with a smile.
"Good luck fish fucker" Jiraya said with a smile as well.
Both Jiraya and Kisame both went off to the 2 other battles happening as the tides began to turn in favor of Konoha.
