Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 14
With Naruto and Karin
Naruto blocked another hail of sand shuriken from Shukaku with his sword as he ran towards the rampaging Biju; Naruto ran up to the Biju's feet and with a heave of his sword slashed the ankle of the Biju taking a chunk out.
Shukaku enraged by that struck at Naruto with his tail but was stopped when his tail was grabbed; Karin used her chakra chains to grab the tail and hold it still.
"Naruto move" Karin shouted; Naruto then began to run behind Shukaku until he was in position. Naruto then jumped up raising his sword above his head charging it with biju chakra; he then slashed down at the tail severing it as it fell to the ground.
Shukaku then let out a loud and pained roar as Naruto ran next to Karin "did it work" Naruto said and Karin nodded.
"Yeah, it worked all right" Karin said "that just pissed it off even more than it already was" she said.
"Shukaku; such a pain in the ass" Kurama said from Naruto's sword "he always was the troublesome one" he said. Kurama them looked to Naruto and saw his eyes start to flicked.
'Kill, kill, murder, dismember, disembowel' the words ran through Naruto's mind like a broken record as he fought down the urges; he was then tapped on his arm and looked to see Karin.
"Naruto are you ok" Karin asked snapping Naruto out of it.
"Yeah, I'm fine" Naruto said.
"You better be; we still got to fight that" Karin said pointing to Shukaku who's tail was reforming.
Naruto growled in frustration "I'm a fucking genin; I'm not trained for this shit" Naruto shouted "where the hell is pervy sage" Naruto shouted.
With Jiraya
Jiraya was running to his destination to engage in another battle; once he arrived, he saw both Kakashi and Guy getting their asses kicked by Sakumo Hatake. 'Ughhh just had to be him' Jiraya thought inside his mind.
Sakumo ducked under a kick from Guy and retaliated with a kick himself which nailed Guy in the jaw; Sakumo then slashed Guy across the chest with his short sword cutting through his jonin vest. Guy cried out in pain as he fell to the ground; Sakumo was about to deal the finishing blow but was stopped by Kakashi.
Kakashi unleashed a hail of kunai at Sakumo who took them all into his back since he was already dead; however, he then realized that once of the kunai had a explosive tag on it. Sakumo was cut in half by the explosion his lower half being destroyed; Kakashi then ran and grabbed guy moving him out of the way.
"Guy, are you ok" Kakashi asked to his wounded comrade; Guy then stood up on shaky legs.
"I'm to youthful to die from such a trivial wound Kakashi" Guy said flashing his smile; Kakashi chuckled and then looked back to his father as he reformed.
'We aren't making any progress' Kakashi thought 'we need to find- 'Kakashi began until he saw a glimmer of something; using his sharingan he focused for a second and caught it.
Jiraya was on a roof top using his headband to flash morse code at Kakashi 'S-E-A-L, A-T-T-A-C-K, D-I-S-T-R-A-C-T' Jiraya flashed towards Kakashi. 'All I need is a moment' Jiraya thought 'give me an opening' he thought.
Kakashi took in a deep breath "Guy" Kakashi said gaining his attention "attack with all you got" he said and Guy nodded.
"Of course," Guy said as he got into his taijutsu stance "Lets go my youthful rival" Guy shuted as both he and Kakashi charged at Sakumo who got into a defensive stance.
Kakashi took out a kunai and began to pour lightning chakra into it; soon the blade was crackling with lightning as Kakashi closed the distance. Kakashi lashed out with the kunai and locked blades with his father; both Kakashi and Sakumo began to engage in blade-on-blade combat. Kakashi slashed at his fathers stomach but missed barely nicking him; Sakumo changed his stance and went with a rising slash then cut Kakashi.
Kakashi was cut from right waste to left shoulder, the only thing saving him from dying was his flack vest which took some of the impact; Guys seeing Kakashi get cut began to kick and attack Sakumo with his nun-chucks.
Sakumo was dodging the nun-chucks to the best of his ability but was unable to keep up with Guy's increasing speed. Guy then swung one of his nun-chucks and Sakumo attempted to block it with his sword; the chain wrapped around the sword and Guy used the moment to disarm Sakumo of his sword swinging it away.
Sakumo undeterred then punched Guy in the face, he then followed up with a kick to the midsection and a leg sweep sending him to the ground; Sakumo was about to stomp on guys neck but then he felt something pierce his back.
Kakashi was behind Sakumo with his arm sticking out of his chest; Kakashi's lightning blade began to die down as he prepared to pull his arm out. Just then Sakumo grabbed Kakashi's arm and snapped it while it was inside his own body; Sakumo then kicked Kakashi away into a wall and began to charge at him.
"Kakashi move" Sakumo shouted but Kakashi was too dazed to move as he was not feet away.
"Rasengan" Jiraya shouted as he hit Sakumo from the side obliterating half of his body; Sakumo was thrown to the ground and Jiraya quickly went through hand signs "Seal" Jiraya shouted as he slammed his hand onto Sakumo's chest and a seal formed.
Sakumo felt his chakra get sealed and then Jiraya went through another set of hand seals and slammed his hand down once more "seal" Jiraya shouted as a second seal appeared and Sakumo was unable to move.
"Well look at that" Sakumo said while looking at Jiraya "a diversion for a finishing blow; looks like I'm losing my edge" he said and Jiraya chuckled.
"Trust me Sakumo; I could only beat you with a low blow like this" Jiraya said as he turned Sakumo over and began to redo his seal "I'm going to redo your seal so you are no longer under control; in the mean while how about you catch up wit your son" Jiraya said.
Kakashi got up on shaky legs nursing his broken arm and plopped down next to his dad "so what do you want to hear about first" Kakashi said with an eye smile.
Sakumo got a small smile on his face and spoke "everything" Sakumo said.
"How youthful" Guy said looking at Kakashi and Sakumo talk 'it's a shame and a blessing my father was not resurrected; god what I wouldn't give to talk and spar with my old man' Guy thought as he stood on guard waiting for Jiraya to finish.
With Kisame, Yugito, Fu, and Kurosutchi
"Hahahaha" Kisame laughed as he swung Samehada at Yagura who blocked it with his staff "I always wanted to fight you, Yagura; looks like dreams do come true" he said as he then kicked Yagura away. Yagura did a flip and landed on a wall; only to then be attacked by Yugito in her biju cat mode. Yugito slashed at Yagura with her claws
"Can you focus on fighting him" Yugito chastised "this is no time for playing; just kill him" Yugito shouted in anger and Kisame scoffed.
"I am focused fur ball" Kisame said rolling his eyes.
Yagura was about to attack but then saw out of the corner of his eye a pile of earth coming down at him.
"Earth Style: Avalanche" Kurosutchi shouted as she used the rubble around her to perform her jutsu; Yagura created a coral dome which took the majority of the attack but it began to crack under the pressure of the earth jutsu. Yagura exited form under the coral dome but was then kicked in the face by a flying Fu.
"Flying double kick" Fu shouted as she flew at full speed to Yagura kicking him in the face with both of her feet sending him skidding across the ground.
"Nice one girlie" Kisame said as he charged at Yagura; Kisame went through hand signs and using water from a broken pipe sent an attack at Yagura "Water Style: Water Dragon" Kisame shouted. A water dragon formed and went towards Yagura who went through hand signs himself.
Yagura then formed a mirror and the water dragon hit the mirror being sent back to Kisame; Kisame cursed and grabbed Samehada. Kisame then used Samehada to destroy the water dragon and continued charging at Yagura; Yagura got ready to attack once again but was stopped when a bright flash of light blinded him.
Fu used her jutsu to blind Yagura in order to give Kisame a opening; Kisame seeing this took it and with a wide slash cut Yagura in half.
Kurosutchi went through hand signs and slammed her hands on the ground "Earth style: Collapsing cavern" she shouted; a cavern then appeared under Yagura making him fall down into the bottom.
Yugito deciding to take no chances took in a deep breath; Yugito then unleashed a massive fire storm into the cavern and did not let up until she was out of breath. All 4 ninjas stayed on guard waiting for anything; after a few minutes they looked down into the cavern and saw that Yagura was completely incinerated.
"Holy crap" Fu said collapsing on the ground "that took a lot of chakras; I'm exhausted" she said breathing heavily.
Yugito's biju chakra dissipated and she leaned up against a wall "I think that staff broke some of my ribs" she whined as she lifted up her shirt showing the large bruise on her ribs "damn" she said.
"Here let me help" Kurosutchi said going over and looking at Yugito's wounds.
"Can you girls handle yourselves" Kisame said and they all nodded "good; because now I have to go and deal with that" he said pointing at Shukaku off in the distance.
"Be careful" Fu said "Chomei says Shukaku is crazy and destructive" she said and Kisame laughed.
"So am I girlie" Kisame said as he slung Samehada on his back and began to run towards Shukaku 'hold on kid; I'm coming' he thought as he ran through the burning village.
With Tobirama
Tobirama Senju finally made it to the chunin exam arena roof and walked up to the barrier "ah the four violate flames formation" he said walking up and going through hand signs "impressive; but not impressive enough" he said.
Tayuya looking on began to shout "holy shit; what are you doing fucker" Tayuya shouted; Tobirama ignored her and slammed his hands onto the barrier.
A seal formed on the barrier and then it began to shut down.
"Fuck" Tayuya shouted as she looked around and began to shout "Sakon, Jirobo, Kidomaru; stop this fucking- "Tayuya began until there was a flash that went around and all 3 of her comrades were decapitated.
Tayuya then saw that Tobirama was standing in front of her "a lady should not use such vulgar language" Tobirama said to a scared Tayuya; Tobirama then chopped her on the neck knocking her out and grabbed her to prevent her from falling to the ground. "I do not believe in killing women; you are very fortunate" Tobirama said laying her down on the ground "now then; where is elder brother" he said as he began to walk away.
With Hiruzen
Hiruzen saw the barrier be destroyed and smiled 'looks like the tables have turned' Hiruzen thought; he was quickly brought out of his thoughts be dodging a strike from Hashirama.
"Someone destroyed the barrier" Kabuto shouted "who could've done that" he shouted as he looked around.
"I did" Tobirama said walking towards Kabuto with killing intent rolling off him in waves "you disrespectful insect; how dare you use my own jutsu on me" he shouted as Kabuto began to feel fear and panic.
"Hashirama; disengage and stop him" Kabuto shouted; Hashirama kicked Hiruzen in the chest sending him skidding across the ground and charged his brother.
"Tobirama, look out" Hasirama shouted as he tried to kick Tobirama in the head; Tobirama ducked under the kick and countered with a punch to his brothers' face. Tobirama then sent a series of punches and kicks at Hashirama which disrupted his attack; Tobirama then went through hand signs.
'Water Style: Water dragon roar' Tobirama then hit Hashirama at point blank range with a powerful water jet from his mouth; the jutsu hit Hashirama and destroyed both him and the seal keeping him in the land of the living. The jutsu did not stop as it continued on hitting the wall on the other side of the village "a little over kill but the results are the same" he said "now for you" Tobirama said as he looked towards Kabuto.
Kabuto began to panic; Tobirama just destroyed one of his edo tensei like it was nothing but a minor hinderance "w-wait" Kabuto said "you don't have to do this; I can- "Kabuto began but Tobirama was not listening.
"Save your breath boy" Tobirama said "there will be no quarter for you" he said before he turned to Hiruzen. "Hiruzen; can you please assist me in exterminating this pest" Tobirama said and Hiruzen nodded.
"Of course, Tobirama sensei" Hiruzen said as he got ready "I always dreamed of the day we would fight side by side again" he said with a smile.
Kabuto began to growl; his plan was falling to pieces "I will not stand for this" Kabuto shouted "I will avenge lord Orochimaru if it's the last thing I do" he shouted as he charged both kage's.
With Mei
Mei saw that the barrier was down and smiled 'finally some breathing room' she thought as she jumped off the roof and down to the arena below; Kushina seeing this followed Mei down and landed on the dirt. Kushina began to rush Mei who went through hand signs.
'Earth Style: Mud River' Mei then created a large current of mud and sent it towards Kushina; Kushina reacted by jumping up and sending a chakra chain towards Mei. Mei dodged but then saw the chain stick into the wall behind her; Kushina then began to pull herself towards Mei at a fast speed readying her sword to cut Mei's head off.
Mei could not move as Kushina was too close; as Kushina's blade neared Mei's neck there was a clang.
Kushina turned and saw a silver haired man blocking her strike with a short sword; she then saw that he was also an edo tensei. The man then grabbed Kushina's wrist and twisted her around; he then kicked her away sending her flying before she landed.
"That was close" Sakumo said turning to Mei "are you ok Ms" he said and Mei nodded.
"Y-yes I'm fine" Mei said confused "who're you" she asked.
"Sakumo Hatake; the white fang of the leaf" Sakumo said and Mei's jaw nearly dropped as she was looking at one of the leaf villages most decorated and strongest ninjas to ever live.
"SAKUMO HATAKE" Kushina cheered gaining both of their attentions "oh my god, I don't believe it, it's you, oh man I'm so lucky" Kushina said going total fan girl. "You are such an inspiration; your sword prowess is legendary even where I'm from in Uzu" Kushina said with stars in her eyes "I never got to meet you when you were alive but I'm such a huge fan; you inspire me to be the best swordswoman I could be" she said breathing heavily.
Sakumo rubbed the back of his head embarrassed "I'm so glad to hear that" Sakumo said "I'm always happy to meet a fellow kenjutsu user; especially such a beautiful one such as yourself" he said and Kushina began to squeal.
"Oh my god Sakumo Hatake thinks I'm pretty" Kushina squealed making Mei gain a tick mark.
"You are in a life-or-death battle and you're acting like a total fan girl" Mei shouted and Kushina huffed.
"What I'm just meeting my hero" Kushina said crossing her arms.
"And now you're about to fight your hero" Sakumo said getting into his stance "what do you say" he said.
"I'd be honored" Kushina said getting into her stance as well.
Mei then stood back up and got into her taijutsu stance "let's do this" Mei said as she got ready.
With Itachi
Itachi slashed at Fugaku with his Susanoo's sword in a attempt to destroy him; Fugaku jumped over the sword and went through hand signs.
'Fire Style: Fire ball jutsu' Fugaku then sent a fire ball at Itachi; Itachi used his Susanoo's Yata Mirror to nullify the fireball. Itachi was about to launch another attack when he began to cough up blood.
'No, not now' Itachi thought; Itachi's coughing got even worse as he fell to his knees and began to vomit blood onto the ground. Itachi's Susanoo began to fade and Fugaku stood over Itachi.
"Pathetic" Fugaku said looking down at his dying son "so strong; and yet going to die of disease" he said before kicking Itachi in the gut. "If anything, this is more of a mercy killing" Fugaku said as he took out a kunai.
Fugaku was about to stab Itachi to finish him off; but before he could his head was destroyed.
"Rasengan" Jiraya shouted as he drove the attack into Fugaku's head destroying the tag keeping his soul connected to the sacrifice. As Fugaku began to turn into dust Jiraya turned his attention to Itachi "Itachi! What's wrong" Jiraya shouted rolling him over; Jiraya saw blood coming from Itachi's mouth and nose meaning that Itachi had bleeding inside his lungs.
Jiraya cursed and looked behind him; Hiruzen and Tobirama were fighting Kabuto and Sakumo was helping Mei fight Kushina. "Hang on Itachi" Jiraya said "I'll get you some help; just hand on" Jiraya said as he picked him up and began to run.
With Naruto
Naruto dodged a hail of sand shuriken and landed on top of a roof with a water tower on it; Naruto quickly went through hand signs.
'Water Style: Water Shark Bomb' Naruto then used the water from the water tower and launched a giant water shark at Shukaku; Shukaku was hit dead on by the water shark and the sand demon became wet. Shukaku then turned and saw Naruto standing on the roof and Naruto cursed; as the biju was about to start its next attack it was then hit from the side by several more shark bombs.
Naruto looked to where it originated from Naruto saw Kisame standing on top of a building with several water tanks "hey kid sorry I'm late" Kisame shouted to Naruto and Naruto smiled.
"Better late then never" Naruto responded as he looked back at Shukaku; Naruto gripped his sword ready to go back into battle. As he was about to charge in, he fell to one knee as his head began to pound.
'Kill it, slaughter, murder, kill, kill, kill, kill…' the words began to repeat themselves inside Naruto's head as his world started going red; Karin sensing Naruto's chakra going haywire ran over.
"Naruto; what's wrong" Karin asked worried; just the Naruto's chakra armor began to expand more over his body.
Naruto began to be covered in red chakra and all exposed parts of his body became encased in chakra armor; then a cloak began to form on Naruto's back and it flowed down to the ground scorching the concrete beneath his feet.
"Naruto" Karin said worried; Naruto then clenched his sword as it began to glow bright red from the chakra pouring into it.
"Karin gets back" Kurama shouted to the scared girl "Naruto's gone; just get away" he said; Karin then jumped away to gain distance.
Naruto now encased in his armor began to twitch and shake his head trying to fight what was taking over inside him; he then paused. The next moment he let out a ground shaking roar; Naruto then went into a berserker rage and charged at Shukaku with reckless abandonment.
