Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 15
With Naruto, Kisame and Karin
Naruto was charging at Shukaku in a mad rage with his glowing red sword in his hands; Shukaku launched a hail of sand Shuriken at Naruto in an attempt to kill him. Naruto seeing the attack used his sword as a shield against the sand projectiles; upon making contact with the sword the sand turned to glass and hit the ground with a crash.
Kisame looked on observing what was happening 'that sword is generating heat from the Fox's chakra' Kisame thought 'if I have to stop him, I don't think I can use Samehada without causing serious damage' he thought.
Kisame saw Naruto approach Shukaku's foot and he brought back his sword; Naruto swung his sword at the demons' foot cutting halfway through and turning the sand that it contacted into glass.
Shukaku roared in pain from the cut and Karin saw an opportunity; Karin sent her chakra chain at Shukaku in order to restrain it. She was then shocked to see Naruto turn towards her approaching chains; Naruto then used his sword to sever the chains preventing them from reaching Shukaku.
"Naruto what the hell" Karin shouted at Naruto; however, Karin got no response as Naruto didn't even seem to register her. 'Why did he do that' Karin thought 'does he want to finish off Shukaku by himself' she thought. Just then Karin saw Shukaku raise up his foot "Naruto look out" she shouted but to no avail.
Shukaku stomped down on Naruto cracking the ground he was standing on; Shukaku then roared in pain once again. Naruto using the flat side of his sword was holding up Shukaku's foot surprising both Karin and Kisame with the feat of strength. But both saw something that made them worry; Naruto was bleeding from his joint which were the only gaps in his armor.
'This isn't good' Kisame thought 'the kid is going to destroy his body by the end of this fight; and he has no self-control, he better wrap this fight up quickly' he thought as he can only look on as he thought it'd be wise to not get involved.
With Hiruzen and Tobirama
Tobirama ducked under another swipe from Kabuto's stomach snake; as he did so he felt a surge of chakra coming off in the distance.
'What is that malicious chakra I feel' Tobirama thought in curiosity 'I better finish this fight soon; I believe that is a pressing matter I must deal with, but how' Tobirama thought. Tobirama then had an idea which might just work.
"Hiruzen get ready" Tobirama shouted.
"Yes sensei" Hiruzen said as he continued attacking Kabuto.
Tobirama created 4 shadow clones and took out 4 kunai; Tobirama took out a scroll from within his armor and began to write 4 Hirashin seals on all of them. "Let's end this charade" Tobirama said as he gave the clones the kunai and all rushed to attack Kabuto.
"You will not win" Kabuto snarled "I will not allow it" he shouted as he hit Hiruzen sending him skidding across the roof. Tobirama and his clones as began to encircle Kabuto and press on their attacks. One of the Tobirama clones slid by Kabuto stabbing the kunai into his foot making Kabuto scream in pain; Kabuto hit the clone dispelling it bit was then greeted by a searing pain in his back.
Another clone used the Hirashin marker to teleport behind Kabuto and stab him in the back leaving another marker; Kabuto did not have time to respond and another clone appeared in front of him stabbing him in the gut. The last clone then appeared stabbing Kabuto in the shoulder; Kabuto now had 4 different markers on him and Tobirama then unleashed his plan.
Tobirama used all 4 markers to rapidly attack Kabuto from multiple different angles beating him so fast that her could not respond; once Kabuto was weakened enough Tobirama appeared in front of Kabuto going though hand signs.
'Water Style: Water Prison' Tobirama then placed the beaten and bloody Kabuto inside the water prison; Tobirama's clones then came up and went through hand signs and began placing both chakra and paralysis seals onto Kabuto rendering him immobile before taking control of the jutsu freeing the original Tobirama.
"Sadly, I must keep you alive for right now" Tobirama said to the barely conscious Kabuto; Tobirama turned to Hiruzen and spoke "Hiruzen; guard this boy while I deal with that rampaging demon" Tobirama said pointing at Shukaku. "One I'm done; kill this boy and the edo tensei will be canceled freeing me and any others that remain" Tobirama said; Hiruzen got a solemn look on his face.
"Very well" Hiruzen said sadly "goodbye sensei" Hiruzen said and Tobirama smiled.
"You have done well Hiruzen" Tobirama said patting his shoulder "but you are past you're prime; it'll probably be best if you find a replacement soon" he said and Hiruzen chuckled.
"I couldn't agree more" Hiruzen said with a small smile; Tobirama then ran off leaving Hiruzen behind with a captured Kabuto "you and my former apprentice have caused quite the headache; but now it looks like this terror is coming to an end" Hiruzen said as he stood on guard.
With Mei and Sakumo
Sakumo and Kushina were both dancing around each other as they clashed blades; Kushina swung her sword at Sakumo who blocked and retaliated with a kick that nailed Kushina in the gut sending her stumbling back.
Mei went through hand signs 'Lava Style: Lava bullets' Mei fired a volley of lava bullets from her mouth towards Kushina; Kushina used her sword to block the incoming flaming projectiles. As she did so Sakumo once again began to close the distance and engage Kuhsina; Kushina attempted to stab Sakumo with her sword. She was surprised when Sakumo didn't even attempt to dodge; Kushina stabbed Sakumo and once she did Sakumo grabbed onto Kushina holding her in place.
"Mei now" Sakumo shouted and Mei got the hint; Mei then went through hand signs and took in a deep breath.
'Lava Style: molten river' Mei then unleashed a torrent of lava at Sakumo and Kushina in a attempt to destroy them both.
Kushina seeing this got a small smile on her face 'looks like I lost' Kushina thought as the lava neared her 'Mei, I'm so glad to see my son found you' Kushina thought. 'Who would've thought it would come full circle' Kushina thought.
*Flashback
A 6-year-old Mei was dropped off at a refugee camp by the 2 anbu that saved her; as the anbu began to leave Mei ran up to them.
"Wait" Mei shouted catching their attentions "I just wanted to say thank you for saving me; I don't know how I will ever repay you 2" she said and one of anbu who saved her chuckled.
"You can repay us by growing up and getting stronger" the anbu said ruffling her hair "so you can help others like how we helped you" the anbu said and Mei nodded.
"I will" Mei said with determination "I will become so strong that I can protect everyone in Kiri" she said with a childish enthusiasm that made bot anbu chuckle.
"Well see that you do" the anbu said getting back up "who knows; maybe one day you can come to Konoha and we can meet again" the anbu said and Mei nodded. "Take care kiddo" the anbu said before they both began to run off.
As the 2 anbu ran one of them chuckled "you know with these voice distorters we sound like guys" she said as she took off her voice changer and took off her mask. Mikoto Uchiha smirked and looked over to her partner "I mean you sound even more like a man than your husband" she said and the other anbu huffed.
"Hey we needed all possible deniability we could get" the other anbu said before removing her voice changer and mask revealing Kushina "after all Minato told us to keep it on the down low" Kushina said making Mikoto chuckle.
"That girl you saved is going to be a ninja; I'm sure of it" Mikoto said making Kushina raise an eyebrow "I hope she turns into a splendid kunoichi" Mikoto said and Kushina nodded with a smile.
"I'm sure she will" Kushina said "children are our future and we must do everything in out power to protect them" Kushina said. "Now let's hurry back; I've been away from my Minato for a week and I want a 'back rub' y'know" Kushina said raising her eyebrow and making Mikoto look at her blankly "I mean I'm gonna fuck my man" she said.
"I get it" Mikoto said annoyed "why do I put up with you" Mikoto said making Kushina pout.
*Flashback end
Kushina smiled as the lava neared 'life is funny sometimes' Kushina thought 'hopefully her and Naruto's children get her hair; I'd like that' she thought.
Both Kushina and Sakumo were hit by the lava which did not let up; Mei kept on pouring on lava for a few minutes to ensure both Kushina and Sakumo were destroyed. After a few minutes and seeing no sign of the 2 regenerating Mei let out a sigh of relief.
'That was tough' Mei thought as she looked over herself and saw all the bruises and cuts over her body from the fight 'no time for rest; I have to go find Naruto' Mei thought as she jumped to the roof of the chunin exam stadium.
When Mei reached the top, she looked off in the distance and saw Shukaku thrashing around with what seemed to be a small speck of red on it 'call it women's intuition but I think I just found him' Mei thought as she began to run to the rampaging Biju.
With Naruto
Naruto was running up the side of Shukaku with his sword still in his hands; Naruto dodged sand tendrils coming from under him and kept on slashing and cutting the biju turning its sand to glass from every hit from his glowing red blade.
Naruto let out a roar as he continued running to the top of Shukaku where there was the unconscious Gaara sticking out of its head.
'If he takes out the boy then Shukaku will die' Kurama thought as he watched from inside Naruto's sword "but that still won't stop Naruto's rampage' just then Kurama had an idea. 'Wait I know what I can do; it's a little risky but it might work' Kurama thought as he prepared for what was about to come.
Naruto neared the top of Shukaku's with Gaara only a few dozen yards or so away; Naruto was about to end the fight but was stopped when sand tendrils grabbed his feet and held him down. Naruto began to roar and struggle against the restraining sand; another sand tendril grabbed his free hand leaving only his sword hand free.
Naruto in his blind rage brought back his sword; Naruto then threw his blade towards Gaara at a speed faster than the sand could react. As it neared Gaara a final wall of sand popped up in a last-ditch attempt to save its vessel; the sword however was only slowed down a little.
Naruto sword cut through the wall of sand losing a little velocity but still had enough to hit Gaara; the blade went into Gaara halfway in his gut. Gaara was awoken by the pain and let out a pained scream; Shukaku with his vessel now being awake began to go back inside Gaara.
The tendrils holding Naruto let go and Naruto ran towards the screaming Gaara; Naruto then grabbed Gaara by the neck and tilted his head to the side. Naruto's fox head helmet opened it jaws revealing its chakra fangs; Naruto then bit down on the screaming Gaara's neck.
There was a small stream of green chakra going from Gaara to Naruto; after a minute Naruto let go. Naruto grabbed the sword that was inside Gaara and ripped it out spilling the boys' guts and killing him.
Naruto jumped down off of the collapsing biju and down to the concrete street below; Shukaku's body collapsed a few seconds later into a mountain of sand. Naruto now gripping his sword began to shake his head violently.
Naruto's eyes began to flicker between blue and red; Kisame and Karin both jumped down and began to approach Naruto slowly.
"Kid are you there" Kisame asked "Naruto can you hear me" he asked.
"Naruto; it's me Karin" Karin said walking forward.
Just then Naruto's eyes flickered back to red and Naruto charged at the 2 of them at blinding speed; Kisame got in front of Karin ready to defend her but a blur of blue appeared in front of him.
"Five-Pronged Seal" Tobirama shouted as he hit Naruto square in the gut breaking through his chakra armor and placing a seal onto his stomach. Naruto was sent flying back and skidded on the ground; Naruto began to thrash around violently as the seal began to take effect.
After a few seconds the chakra armor and cloak began to fade and Naruto laid down on the ground unconscious; Tobirama walked forward and looked at the boy.
'So, the Biju's soul was removed but not the chakra' Tobirama analyzed 'no wonder he went insane; there was nothing to regulate the malicious chakra in his body' he thought. Tobirama then opened Naruto's jacket and ripped open his shirt revealing a fox skull tattoo on his chest; Tobirama went through hand signs and put 2 seals over the fox skull.
"That should fix it" Tobirama said; Tobirama heard someone land behind him and saw a beaten and bloody Mei.
"Naruto" Mei shouted as she ran over to him and held him "What happened to him" Mei asked and Kisame spoke up.
"Naruto went ape shit again" Kisame said.
"He defeated Shukaku and was about to attack us" Karin said still a little shaken.
"The Kyuubi's soul was removed from him but the chakra remained" Tobirama said gaining all their attentions "the biju regulated the chakra flow inside the boy; thin of it like a pipe, if it's intact water will flow through no problem, but if it's missing a section, it will gush out uncontrollably" he said. "I fixed it by placing a few seals on him; he should be able to use it without going insane again" Tobirama said.
Mei nodded and looked back at Naruto; Mei then realized that a small patch of Naruto's hair was now dark orange "did his hair change" Mei asked and Tobirama nodded.
"A side effect of the Biju chakra" Tobirama said "it's nothing" he said; Tobirama then felt a sensation in his body. "Looks like Hiruzen ended that boy's life" Tobirama said "hopefully now I can rest" Tobirama said as he began to crumble to dust; Tobirama soul left to the afterlife as body crumbled and fell to the ground revealing the unfortunate sacrifice victim.
Mei picked up Naruto and looked to Kisame and Karin "let's get him to the hospital" Mei said; Kisame and Karin nodded. Karin went to pick up Naruto's sword but felt no presence inside of it.
"Kurama" Karin asked.
"Karin lets go" Mei said; Karin then ran after the 2 of them carrying the sword.
Chunin exam stadium medical wing
Sasuke Uchiha was still unconscious from his fight and laying inside his hospital bed; as he laid there a vortex opened up and a figure wearing a orange spiral mask walked out.
"Kisame and Itachi defected; Orochimaru Hidan and Kakuzu killed" the figure said as he walked over to Sasuke grabbing his shoulder "lost 5 members; but gained a new prospect" he said.
"Let's see if me and Pein can train you to your full potential" he said with a chuckle; the figure then summoned another vortex taking Sasuke with him and leaving an empty room.
Later that night
The battle of Konoha ended hours ago leaving destruction and devastation throughout the village; in the middle of the village was a giant pile of sand that has yet to be cleaned up.
As the night drew on the sand began to move and shift until a hand popped out of it; a figure crawled out of the sand and stood up.
He was completely naked, he stood at 5 foot 6 and looked to be about 13 or 14 years old and fairly handsome; he had orange red hair and glowing red eyes that were slitted.
"Flesh and blood" the figure said flexing his hands "it took a while to fix and adjust that Gaara boys' body but I think this could work" he said with a chuckle as he began to walk off. "I must find some cloths to cover myself" he said with a smile "wait until you get a load of me my dear Karin" he said as he walked off into the night with a pep in his step.
