Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 17
2 weeks after leaving Konoha
Naruto, Jiraya, Kisame and Raigawere walking along another road to another village; it's been weeks since the mission began and so far, they had jack shit. Naruto carrying his sword on his back began to grow agitated.
"Damn how hard is it to find this chick" Naruto whined "I mean how hard is it to find someone who's so famous" he said and Jiraya chuckled.
"She's a S-class ninja with a family fortune that could last several generations" Jiraya said making Naruto face palm "hell she doesn't even have to gamble; it's her hobby" he said and Naruto grew more frustrated.
"Damn it" Naruto whined "I just want this mission to be over with" Naruto said and Kisame chuckled.
"Hey come on brat" Kisame said "when we get to the next town I'll take you somewhere special" he said and Naruto looked at him.
"What kind of place" Naruto asked and Kisame smirked.
Next town 3 hours later
"Yeah, shake it baby" Kisame shouted as he threw a couple Ryo on stage; a 20 something year old woman wearing only high heels and a thong crawled across the stage and picked up the bills and put it in her thong. "See kid this isn't so bad" Kisame said to Naruto who was currently drinking a beer and eating chicken wings.
"Never been to a strip club before" Naruto said wiping his mouth "but I'll admit it's not that bad; women are hot, food is good and the beer is cold" he said. Just then a stripper sat on Naruto's lap.
"Care for some company cutie" she said and Naruto nodded.
"Sure; you want a drink" Naruto offered.
"I'll take a pina colada" she said and Naruto nodded.
"Hey bar tender one pina colada for the lady" Naruto said and the bar tender nodded "I'm Naruto by the way" Naruto said.
"I'm Magic" Magic said.
Jiraya was currently in the champagne room with 2 women "Hahaha" Jiraya laughed "it's nice to have some female company every once and a while" Jiraya said as both girls giggled.
"Well how can we say no to such a handsome and famous shinobi" one girl said.
"Yeah, Jiraya the gallant; who knew someone so famous would be coming to our club" she said putting her hand on his chest; unseen by the other girl she slipped a piece of paper into Jiraya's cloths. "I do hope you will come by again soon" she purred "after all I'll miss you" she said and Jiraya smiled.
"And I'll miss you Candy" Jiraya said slipping her a billfold unseen by the other girl "and I'll also miss your assets as well" he said and the girl got the hint.
"Let's go Treasure; our shift is nearly up" Candy said and Treasure nodded.
"Bye, bye" Treasure said as she walked away with candy; Jiraya sat there and took out the piece of paper 'Tsunade was last seen in Tanzaku Gai; staying in a hotel called the Yuna Inn' Jiraya read from the note.
'Starting a strip club for my spy network was the best thing I ever did' Jiraya thought; Kisame wanted to take Naruto to a strip club and Jiraya recommended this one. His strip club; this club has been gathering information from ninja and bandit alike for over 10 years. 'Let's see what the boys are up to' Jiraya thought.
Jiraya looked around; Raiga was drinking, Kisame was getting a lap dance and Naruto had a stripper in either side of him looking at a picture.
"So yeah, me and Mei have a little bit of a age gap but I don't mind" Naruto said showing the girls a picture of Mei.
"Damn look at those tits" one girl said "and they're real too" she said.
"If she was working here, we would be out of work" the other girl said and Naruto chuckled.
'Well, I guess we can stay for a little while longer' Jiraya thought as he went over to the bar and join Raiga.
"Hey boss man" Raiga said intoxicatedly "wanna a beer; on me" he said and Jiraya nodded.
"Sure bud" Jiraya said as he sat down next to Raiga "let's have some fun tonight" he said.
That night: In Konoha
Karin and Kurama were walking back to Karin's new apartment after another date night; Karin has been growing closer and closer to Kurama. There has been a few hick-ups here and there; Kurama has been freaking people out by saying 'excuse me human' or 'bring me some food mortal' however Karin has been there to explain that he's just an unusual person, which wasn't far from the truth.
As they continued walking down the road 3 figures stopped in front of both Kurama and Karin "Karin" one of the figures said making her freeze "you were supposed to be back in Kusa a week ago; where were you" he shouted.
Kurama looked at the man and his accomplices and saw that they were Kusa ninja 'what are they doing here' he thought; he was pulled out of his thoughts when the Kusa ninja began to walk towards them.
"And who's this asshole" he said standing in front of Kurama "state your name" he demanded; Kurama looked at him with a blank face and did not respond. "Fine then tough guy; stay quiet" he said as he turned his attention to Karin "lets go bitch" he said reaching out to grab the frozen Karin's arm "you have a job to- "he did not finish his sentence as his arm fell to the ground.
Kurama's hand resembled claws and they were dripping with blood as they sliced through the man's arm like butter; before the man could scream Kurama grabbed the man by the throat.
"Keep your filthy hands off her; you human scum" Kurama said in a demonic voice as his eyes became red with vertical slits; Kurama proceeded to rip the mans wind pipe out killing the man and shocking his 2 teammates.
"You bastard" one of the Kusa ninjas shouted as he began to go through hand signs 'Kusa no Muchi' all around the grass began to grow; the grass then shot at Kurama who was standing still. Karin seeing the attack jumped back.
"Kurama; move, now" Karin shouted in concern but Kurama stayed in place.
The grass began to slash Kurama all across his body; the grass ninja was smiling as he knew by the end of the attack Kurama would be dead from blood loss. When the attack ended the Kusa ninjas were standing in confusion.
Kurama was still standing there; his cloths were ripped and torn but there was no injuries on his body. There was no blood, no cuts, not even a hair out of place.
'How the fuck is he still alive' the Kusa ninja thought in shock; Kurama in a burst of speed rushed towards the Kusa ninja. Kurama then sunk his claws under the Kusa ninja's face piercing only the skin; Kurama proceeded to rip on the Kusa ninja's face like he was pulling off a mask. The man began to scream in pain until Kurama decapitated the man; Kurama held the skin mask in his hand before looking over at the last Kusa ninja.
Kurama began to walk over to the Kusa ninja who was cowering in fear; he began to back away from Kurama as he approached until his back was against a wooden fence. Kurama now standing in front of the ninja then smiled; Kurama slowly and deliberately put the skin mask over the frightened mans face.
"What's your name human" Kurama said in a soft voice.
"S-S-Saito" the man stuttered out.
"Well S-S-Saito" Kurama said in a mocking way "you scared my dear Karin and now you got to pay" Kurama said leaning in close making the man shake in fear. "You are to go back to your village" Kurama said "how long will it take you to get there" Kurama said.
"2 days" Saito choked out.
"Ok 2 days" Kurama said "when you get there tell them 'For the crime of using Karin like an object Kusa has only have 1 day to live from the day you arrive' "Kurama said making the man shake even harder. "Can you tell them that for me S-S-Saito" Kurama said and Saito nodded; Kurama then licked his finger and wiped the saliva on Saito's jacket. "In case you get any wise idea like run away, don't; I've marked you with my scent" Kurama said "no matter where you go; I'll find you, so be a good little messenger and go to Kusa. And I promise you; your death will be quick" Kurama said and Saito nodded.
Kurama then backed up and looked at the cowering Kusa ninja "well go" he said; Saito then began to run away "and don't take off that face; it's to show I'm serious" Kurama shouted to the fleeing Kusa ninja.
"K-Kurama" Karin stuttered out as she looked on in fear at her date.
Kurama then walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her "don't worry Karin; you are safe with me; I won't let anything happen to you" he said.
"B-but you just killed a foreign ninja" Karin stammered out "they'll ask for your head in repentance and they'll come and take me back; this is bad, this is- "Karin began until Kurama kissed her stopping her rant. Upon breaking apart Kurama looked at her with a smile.
"Don't worry; I'll handle it" Kurama said assumingly "I'll talk to the Hokage tomorrow" he said and Karin nodded.
"Ok, ok" Karin said and Kurama then perked up.
"Great; I know what will make you feel better" Kurama said grabbing her hand "lets go get some after date ice cream" Kurama said as he began to drag Karin away leaving 2 dead bodies behind.
Just then 4 anbu dropped down and looked at the carnage "holy fuck; who is that kid" a dragon mask anbu said.
"Who knows" a monkey masked anbu said "but we have to clean up this mess and report to lord hokage immediately" he said and the others nodded.
"Copy that; should we go and arrest that kid" a lizard mask anbu said; the 3 other anbu looked at him like he was crazy "or not; whatever" he said.
"Oh fuck" the panda mask anbu said as he picked up the head of the faceless ninja "this is fucking brutal" he said.
"Lord Hokage is going to fucking flip" Dragon said.
Hokage office; at the same time
Hiruzen saw the whole confrontation through his crystal ball; the Kusa ninja asked him where Karin was and he pointed her out but told them she is a guest in the village. He also told them to not antagonize the boy she was with or suffer the consequences; looks like they did not take him seriously.
"Damn" Hiruzen said "looks like I'll need to send a letter to Kusa" Hiruzen said as he took out a scroll and began to write. "I hope Kurama doesn't destroy their village" Hiruzen said as he continued writing his letter "it's really nice this time of year" he said as he finished writing the letter.
"Anbu" Hiruzen shouted as a cat masked anbu kneeled in front of him "send this to Kusa by messanger hawk; hopefully it reaches Kusa in 3 days or less" he said as the anbu took the scroll.
"Yes, lord Hokage" Cat said as she disappeared in a swirl of leaves; Hiruzen then sat back and let out a sigh.
"Well, I did all I could do" Hiruzen said lighting his pipe "Kusa had a good run; 30 years as a village, not to shabby" he said as he began to smoke his pipe. "I wonder what Tsume is doing" he wondered out loud as the fate of Kusa was sealed and he did not want Konoha next on Kurama's hit list.
3 days later: Tanzaku Gai
Naruto, Jiraya, Kisame and Raiga were walking around the various bars and casino's of Tanzaku Gai looking for their target; so far, it's been over 3 hours and not one hide nor hair of Tsunade.
"You sure your spies info is legit" Naruto asked Jiraya "I mean where did you even get the information" he asked.
"Don't worry about my sources kid" Jiraya said "and I trust my sources; she'll be here" he said.
"Can we get some food; I'm starving" Kisame said and Jiraya nodded.
"Fine but we'll need to be quick" Jiraya said "let's eat here" he said pointing to a bar. As they all entered Jiraya spoke up "table for 4 ple- Tsunade" Jiraya said making all 3 of his followers stop.
"Jiraya" Tsunade said looking up from her drink "what are you doing here" Tsunade said in confusion; Tsunade was sitting with her apprentice Shizune and their pet pig Tonton.
"Looking for you" Jiraya said "and it has been a hell of a time trying to find you" Jiraya said sitting next to her.
"It can't be that that bad" Tsuande said dismissing Jiraya and Jiraya smirked.
"You see that blonde kid right there" Jiraya said "well about 2 months ago-" Jiraya began his tale.
About 30 minutes later
"-and then sensei told us to come and find you and here we are" Jiraya finished; Tsuande and Shizune was sitting there speechless and eyes widened.
"Orochimaru is dead" Tsunade said and Jiraya nodded.
"Yep, killed by my Mei" Naruto said with a smile "she's totally awesome; kicked his ass left, right and center" he said.
"And you are dating your sensei, who is also the new Mizukage" Shizune said to Naruto who nodded. "How the hell did you pull that off" Shizune said and Naruto shrugged.
"I don't know" Naruto said "but I'm not going to question it; all I can say is that I got one hell of a woman and I love her" Naruto said and Shizune had a wide smile.
"Aww that's sweet" Shizune said "and I'm so glad that you don't mind the age gap; lots of men don't like dating older women" she said.
"Jiraya" Tsuande said grabbing all their attentions "I appreciate you coming here to find me; but I'm not going to go back to Konoha" Tsuande said. "I already lost so much due to that village; I don't owe them anything" she said as she took another sip of her drink "and becoming hokage; only a fool will want that title" she said.
Tsunade was about to take another sip of her drink until it spilled all over her lap; Tsunade looked and saw that the bottom of her cup was sliced off.
Naruto had an angry look on his face "I won't stand for it" he said angrily "I don't care what you lost, I don't care if you become hokage or not; but you are coming back to Konoha to heal Itachi" Naruto said. "He's knocking on deaths door; and I'm not going to let one of my sensei and good friends die" Naruto said.
Tsunade crushed what was left of her cup and got into Naruto's face "get out of here you little shit" Tsunade scowled "Jiraya; you wasted your time coming here, go back and never return" she said.
Jiraya was about to speak again until he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked to see Kisame "we best leave Jiraya" Kisame said "lady doesn't want to come" he said. Jiraya felt Kisame tap his shoulder in morse code and Jiraya nodded.
"Goodbye Tsunade" Jiraya said as he, Kisame, Naruto and Raiga all left; Tsunade looked on in confusion.
'Huh Jiraya would've tried to convince me' Tsunade thought 'why would he leave after asking once' Tsunade thought.
"Lady Tsunade" Shizune spoke up "are you ok" she asked and Tsunade nodded.
"Let's go Shizune; we are going to another town tomorrow" Tsuande said as she paid for her drink and left with Shizune.
With Naruto and the others
"What the hell; why did we leave" Naruto asked and Kisame stopped him.
"I can tell she isn't going to come back willingly" Kisame said "so we will need to 'convince' her to come back" he said.
"Like what; black mail" Raiga said and Kisame shook his head.
"No, we need something that she'll actually care about" Jiraya said "but what; she has a shit load of debt, but she won't take money" he said.
"Hmmm How about we drug her and take her back" Naruto said "It's a low blow and will make us look like scum bags but it's the best way" Naruto said.
Raiga then snapped his fingers "I got an idea; it's risky but it might work" he said gaining all their attentions.
The next morning
Tsunade was in her hotel room sleeping when she heard a blood curdling scream jumping out of bed; Tsunade looked over and saw it was Shizune.
"Shizune what's wrong" Tsunade said running over "what is it" she asked.
"They took her" Shizune sobbed out "they took Tonton" Shizune said handing Tsunade the note; Tsunade snatched the note and began to read it:
We got your pig; come to Konoha in 3 days ready to heal Itachi or the pig gets roasted on the pit
On the note was a picture of Nartuo, Jiraya, Raiga and Kisame holding a bound and gagged Tonton; Tsunade began to unleash a large amount of killing intent as she crushed the note with an angry look on her face.
"Shizune pack your shit; we are going to get Tonton back" Tsuande said as both women began to gather up their stuff ready.
With Naruto, Jiraya, Kisame, Raiga and Tonton
Naruto was carrying Tonton who was struggling to get away; he and the others were rushing back to the village as fast as they could "are you sure this is going to work" Naruto asked. Just then they heard a massive explosion from behind them as they saw a giant dust cloud form from several miles away.
"Yeah, I think it worked" Jiraya shouted "let's get to Konoha ASAP; if she catches up to us, we are as good as dead" he said. Naruto and the others began to run as fast as they could back to Konoha; if they were going to die, they were going to make sure at least Itachi was healed first.
That night: Kusa council chambers
"What do you mean they were killed" A elder of Kusa shouted at Saito who was holding his friends face "we sent you to get Karin back for the medical department and you only come back with excuses" he shouted.
"And what do you mean we only have 1 day left" another elder said "a single boy threatens an entire village preposterous" he shouted. "And you said this boy was not even a shinobi" he said to a shaking Saito "how can someone who's not even a shinobi possibly take out 2 chunin level ninja by himself and get absolutely no wounds" he shouted.
"My lords" Saito said to the Kusa council "I was delayed coming back here by a day" he said.
"So, what" another council member said.
"Today is the day he's coming" Saito said.
Kusa outskirts: overlooking the village
Kurama stood on top of a small mountain several miles away overlooking Kusa; he had a look of disdain on his face as he looked down at the village.
'What a cesspool of a village' Kurama thought as he looked down 'that is to be expected though; any people who were willing to use people like how they used Karin would fester in such a place' he thought. Kurama then began to focus his chakra into his mouth; for a few minutes the chakra began to build until he opened his mouth and revealed a black ball. Kurama then grabbed the black chakra ball and held it in his hands studying it; it was the size of a baseball and pulsating.
'This took up half my chakra' Kurama thought 'this better be enough' he thought as gripped the ball. Kurama then brought his hand back ready to throw 'Biju bomb' Kurama thought as he threw the ball towards the village; for a few seconds there was nothing.
About 30 seconds later there was a blinding explosion that brightened up the night; for a few seconds the whole area shook like a earthquake. When the shaking stopped there was only a mushroom cloud and a massive crater where Kusa used to be.
"Well, that's taken care of" Kurama said turning around "I better get back; Karin will be worried if I don't show up for our date" he said as he disappeared in a swirl of red chakra.
Off on the other side of the village a figure came out of the ground.
"What destructive power" White Zetsu said.
"Lord Pein will want to hear of this" Black Zetsu said "Looks like we may have another recruit for the Akatsuki" he said as they disappeared back into the ground.
