Hello everyone I'm back once again to bring you another chapter of my story; if you are enjoying it, please keep on supporting me and my other works. This is going to be a Omake chapter so please don't bust my balls over it; with nothing more to say let's begin.
Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 21
Kiri: 3 months afterNaruto arrived
Naruto was currently at the bottom of a lake wearing a weighted vest, ankle and wrist weights; Naruto ate another Sea apple in order to breath under water so he doesn't drown. The bad part is that the effects last only for an hour and he had to walk 1 mile with the weights and reach the other shore; so far, he only had 15 minutes left and only completed half a mile.
'Oh man this is hard' Naruto thought as he walked with the weights '200 pounds of weights with increased resistance of the water; man, how did I get myself into this' he thought. Right next to him Watasumi in her shark form was swimming next to him with a weighted vest on her.
"Keep on going big brother" Watasumi said encouragingly "you're almost there just keep on pushing" she said as she herself struggled swimming with the weights on.
"You're right I can't give up" Naruto said back as he began to walk even faster "my muscles are burning but I can take it" Naruto said as he charged forward slowly. "I just gotta keep my mind occupied" he said and Watasumi looked at him.
"Think about your friends in Konoha" Watasumi said and Naruto nodded.
"Yeah, good idea" Naruto said as he trudged forward "I wonder how the old man is doing" he thought.
With Hiruzen and Tsume: In Konoha
Hiruzen wearing civilian cloths and Tsume were having tea inside the Inuzuka compound as part of their new daily routine "so how did your doctor's appointment go yesterday" Hiruzen asked Tsume. Tsume put down her cup of tea and looked over.
"It went pretty well" Tsume said putting her hand on her stomach which now showed her pregnant belly "so far there is no signs of problems or anything we should worry about" she said with a smile. "You know even though it was unintentional I'm glad this happened" Tsume said making Hiruzen look at her "the happiest moments of my life were when I was raising Hana and Kiba; now I get to relive all those magical moments all over again" she said.
Hiruzen leaned in and kissed her on the cheek "I feel the same way" Hiruzen said "I thought I was too old to have this again; but now I have a new wife and a baby on the way" he said which made Tsume smile softly. "Besides there is also another up side to this" he said and Tsume looked at him confused.
"Which is" Tsume inquired; just the Kiba walked in with a smile, fishing poles and a tackle box.
"Yo dad you ready to go fishing" Kiba said excitedly "I got some fresh bait; let go hook em'" he said and Hiruzen smiled.
"I can have a son and not make the same mistakes" Hiruzen whispered to Tsume as he got up "let's go Kiba; don't wait up Tsume" Hiruzen said as he walked over and wrapped his arm around Kiba and both walked out of the house.
Tsume looked at this and smiled 'boys' she thought as she looked down at her stomach 'I wonder what you'll be; I hope another girl' she thought as she continued sipping her tea.
Back with Naruto
Naruto was sitting on a flat rock in the middle of a lake with Ao standing behind him "in order to master water you must learn how to see in water" Ao said and Naruto nodded "this will also help you with your shark sage training as well; because this will help you focus your sensory abilities and chakra control" he said as he sat down next to Naruto and closed his eyes.
"Watch closely" Ao said as his fingers began to glow and he place his hands into the water "using the chakra in your finger tips you can sense everything inside this lake; the fish, the plant life even the smallest shift in the sand" Ao said and Naruto nodded. Ao waited for a few minutes until he spoke "a fish will jump out of the water 50 feet away to the right" Ao said; Naruto snapped his head and saw a fish jump out of the water just as Ao said.
"Holy crap that was awesome" Naruto said "let me try" Naruto said and Ao nodded as he pulled back observed Naruto. Naruto took in a deep breath, closed his eyes and sent chakra to his fingers just like Ao did; Naruto proceeded to place his hands into the water and began sensing around.
Naruto did not feel or see anything "I don't see anything" Naruto said as he used his chakra to feel around; he could barely feel several feet in front of himself. Suddenly Naruto saw a glowing blue dot appear inside his mind "hey I see something" Naruto said happily "it's a small blue dot but I can -ahhh" Naruto shouted as he pulled his hand out of the water.
A catfish bit him on his index finger its teeth sinking into his skin "stupid fucking fish" Naruto shouted as he grabbed the fish and threw it back into the water "ow that hurt" Naruto said as he began to suck his finger.
"Wow you really are a dunce" Ao said making Naruto gain a tic mark "seeing in the water takes time and patience boy; now you can only see dots a few feet in front of you, but when you are as experienced as me and Kisame you can scan this whole lake" he said making Naruto go wide eyed.
"You can see the size of the fish, the species of fish and even which way it's swimming" Ao said "sensory may not be as flashy as ninjutsu or taijutsu but it is still necessary for a ninja to be well rounded" Ao said. "Now try again" Ao said and Naruto nodded.
"Ok fine" Naruto grumbled as he put his hands back into the water 'man Karin would have a field day doing this; she is a way better sensor than I am' Naruto thought.
Somewhere in Earth country: With Karin, Kurama, Itachi and Tayuya
"No please- "a man begged just before being decapitated by a sword held by Itachi wearing his weasel mask; Itachi flicked off the blood from the blade and turned around.
'Looks like another dead end' Itachi thought as he walked out of the room; Itachi walked out into a warehouse full of crates and boxes. A dead body fell from the scaffolding above him landing with a wet splat and Itachi looked up "any luck Tayuya" Itachi said.
Tayuya wearing a boar mask jumped down landing gracefully "nope nothing" Tayuya said holding her hands to her hips "these assholes don't know shit about Deidera or Sasori; what made you think they might know anything" she asked and Itachi sighed.
"Deidera was part of a terror bomber ground" Itachi said running his fingers through his hair "these med were smugglers; they gathered the ingredients Deidera used to make his C4 chakra clay" Itachi said. "Another operation gone bust" he said reaching up to his intercom "Karin; anyone left around" Itachi said.
Karin wearing a falcon mask was standing on the roof using her sensory ability was scanning the area "yes I see 3 individuals approaching from the east gate in a wagon; probably dropping off a shipment" she said.
"I got them babe; relax your pretty little red head" Kurama said over the intercom making Karin gain a tic mark.
"Take this serious Kurama" Karin said receiving only a chuckle in response.
Kurama wearing a fox ask was hiding behind some crates as the wagon rolled by him; he saw 3 men hauling what looked like moonshine in the back.
'Last delivery for you' Kurama thought as he took out a short sword and began sneaking up to the wagon.
"Hey where the hell is Todoroki; he should be out here to claim the shipment" the driver of the wagon said.
"He probably fell asleep again" another said.
"Well, he better- "the last man began but stopped; all 3 of their heads fell off with a unceremonious plop to the ground as Kurama appeared in the middle of the wagon.
Kurama wiped off his blade and smirked 'mission accomplished' he thought as he stopped the wagon; before he got out, he grabbed a jar of moonshine 'don't mind if I do' he thought as he hopped out. "Targets neutralized" Kurama said over the radio.
"This mission is a bust; sanitize the area and let's head home" Itachi said over the comms; Tayuya, Karin and Kurama began to erase all evidence they were there as Itachi began to plan his next move. 'All I need is one good lead and then we can take them out' Itachi thought 'well at least on the way back we can stop off in Taki; it's been a while since I've seen Fu' he thought with a smile behind his mask.
Back with Naruto
Naruto brought up his sword in order block Samehada as came towards him at great speed; Kisame slammed his sword into Naruto's making the boy skid back into the dirt.
"Haha; your getting better kid" Kisame said as he twisted his blade to the side and grabbed Naruto by the neck "but still not good enough" Kisame shouted as he threw Naruto into a tree. Naruto smacked the tree causing the trees to shake, leaves to fall and bark to break; Naruto fell to the ground with a groan but had to get up as he dodged a ball of lightning courtesy of Raiga.
"Run you little shit run" Raiga shouted as he began shooting bolts of lightning at Naruto who began to dodge.
Naruto out his sword on his back as he began to go through hand signs "Water Style: Water shark bomb jutsu" he shouted; Naruto's canteens popped open and a single water shark formed and went straight to Raiga.
Raiga seeing this jumped out of the way of the shark and ran towards Naruto; Naruto once again grabbed his sword and slashed at Raiga with the blunt side as to not kill him. Raiga jumped up and onto the blade of the sword; he threw a kick at Naruto who ducked under and flipped his blade throwing Raiga off.
Naruto came in close and threw a punch nailing Raiga in the face before spinning around and kicking him in the ribs "night night" Naruto said as he swung his sword at Raiga; Raiga caught the blade with his swords and performed a disarm sending the sword into a tree. "Crap" Naruto said as he dodged Raiga's slash and ran past him.
Kisame got in front of Naruto putting his sword on his back and got into a taijutsu stance "c'mon kid; want the sword have to get past me" he said with a sharky smile. Naruto smiled as well and he jumped and threw a flying round kick at Kisame; Kisame blocked with his forearm and Naruto pressed on with his attack. Naruto threw a punch at Kisame to which he dodged; Naruto used that same hand to grab onto Kisame and flip himself over him getting behind him.
Naruto landed and made a hand sign "Water clone jutsu" Naruto said as 10 water clones formed from the water in his canteens; Naruto swiftly changed his hand sign "shadow clone jutsu" Naruto shouted as 10 shadow clones came to life.
Naruto sent all the clones to Kisame to keep him occupied while he went to retrieve his sword; Kisame smiled at this.
'Using 2 types of clones eh; good strategy' Kisame thought as he began slashing at the clones.
Naruto reached his sword and pulled it out of the tree before getting back into his stance 'man this full contact training is tough; even after 2 months I still can't beat Raiga let alone Kisame' Naruto thought as he looked at the 2 Kiri jounin getting ready for round 2. 'It sucks Kakashi sensei couldn't train me like this; I wonder how he's doing" Naruto thought.
With Kakashi
Kakashi was currently climbing a mountain with one hand tied behind his back; as he hopped up he grabbed onto another ledge and felt his arm tingle 'damn I'm at my limit' Kakshi thought as he closed his eye.
'First gate: Gate of opening… open' Kakshi thought as he felt chakra course through his body; Kakashi then launched himself upwards and began to climb even faster 'I must get stronger" Kakashi thought. 'An when I do I'll make it up to you Naruto; I'll be the sensei I always should've been' he thought as he scaled the mountain.
Back with Naruto
Naruto was now sitting at a desk in the Mizukage office with Mei; Mei came over with a stack of books making Naruto sigh.
"Ok Naruto time for your tutoring" Mei said with a smile to which Naruto grimaced.
"Mei, I have a question" Naruto said "I mean I get studying jutsu and stuff by why math, science and calligraphy" he asked; Mei proceeded to lightly bonk him on the head.
"Knowledge is necessary for every ninja" Mei said absolutely "I mean if you don't gain knowledge you'll end up as some muscle-bound meat head rushing into battle with reckless abandonment" she said.
Meanwhile in Kumo
A the Raikage sneezed out of the blue; he looked around suspiciously 'someone just talked about me I know it' he thought
Back in Kiri
"Now then let's start off with my favorite subject" Mei said reaching behind her and bringing out some paper and brushes "calligraphy" she said with a bright smile. Naruto nodded as he knew he had no choice.
'Calligraphy huh' Naruto thought 'I'm sure Hinata would enjoy this being how she's from a fancy clan and stuff' he thought.
With Hinata and Shino
Shino was standing with Hiashi in front of the Hyuga compound "I shall bring Hinata back once the movie is over and we have eaten at a restaurant" Shino said in his monotone voice "if my calculations is correct that will be at about 10pm or 10:30 at the latest" he said.
Hiashi nodded at this "very well; just make sure you treat her with the respect she deserves" he said and Shino nodded.
"A-are you ready Shino" Hinata said walking out in her light blue sundress.
"Yes Hinata; shall we go" Shino said holding out his arm for Hinata to grab onto.
"Have a pleasant evening father" Hinata said and Hiashi nodded.
"Enjoy your evening" Hiashi said as he walked back inside; as he walked in he saw both Hanabi and Ranmaru sparring in the training field.
Hanabi threw a strike to which Ranmaru ducked under and grabbed her hand flipping her; Hanabi landed on her back but got back up and continued to press her attack.
'Hmm Hinata dating the Aburame heir and Hanabi dating future seven swordsman' Hiashi thought as he walked away 'at least I know they will be safe in the future' he thought.
Back with Naruto
Naruto was holding his right hand as a rasengan was spinning at a incredible speed; Jiraya looking on began to speak.
"Ok now try to use with your water like we practiced" Jiraya said and Naruto nodded; Naruto's water came out of his canteen and began to form a ring around the rasengan "good now try and insert the water into the rasengan and mix it" Jiraya said and Naruto nodded.
"Ok here it goes" Naruto said; the water began to slowly pour into the rasengan and began to spin around slowly "ok so far so good" he said. Suddenly the rasengan began to spiral out of control "oh shit" Naruto said as he tried to maintain control of the jutsu; water began to get shot out as a blade of water nicked Naruto's cheek causing blood to pout out "gah crap" Naruto said as he let the rasengan die and the water returned to his canteen.
Jiraya sighed at this "well it's back to the old drawing board" Jiraya said "we tried mixing it, inserting it, hmmm…" Jiraya said in thought. "Maybe we should try forming it while it's in water" Jiraya said holding his finger up in victory.
"We'll never know until we try" Naruto said holding a bandage to his bleeding cheek "lets do it" Naruto said but Jiraya held his hand up.
"Lets try tomorrow; you did enough for today" Jiraya said with a smile "besides dinner is going to be starting soon" Jiraya said and Naruto nodded.
"Alright tomorrow then" Naruto said as Jiraya ruffled his hair making Naruto smile "c'mon let go chow down" Naruto said running off.
Jiraya laughed at Naruto antics 'so much like Kushina I swear' Jiraya thought "wait up" Jiraya shouted as he ran after Naruto.
Mei's house
Naruto and Jiraya walked into the house smelling all the food being prepared "you're here" Watasumi said standing on a stool in the kitchen "my fish stew is nearly done" she said with a smile while mixing a large pot.
Kisame walked in from the back of the house holding a tray of sizzling birds "smoked ducks are done" Kisame said as he placed the ducks on the table.
"Got some dumplings and veggies here" Mei said walking in with 2 bowls; 1 full of dumplings and 1 full of spiced vegetables "well come in and sit down" Mei said as she placed the food onto the table. Naruto and Jiraya both walked over to the table where Raiga and Ao were sitting playing cards.
"Welcome back kid" Raiga said to Naruto.
"Lord Jiraya, Naruto welcome" Ao said with a nod.
Naruto looked around at everyone around him chatting and moving about; Mei his girlfriend, Watasumi his little sister, his sensei's Jiraya, Raiga and Ao, and his kinda cool uncle Kisame. Naruto chuckled as he looked at everyone sit down.
"My favorite part of the day" Naruto said gaining everyone's attention "family dinner" Naruto said and everyone smiled; Mei who was sitting down next to Naruto kissed his cheek with a smile on her face and Naruto kissed her back.
"Ok everyone let's eat" Mei said and everyone began to grab food; they all ate and conversed the night away as the family of ninja's, sharks and outlaws had their fill.
Unknown location
A hologram of a person was standing on top of a finger of a statue in a cave surrounded with several other projections and 3 real people "Itachi and Kisame both defected and Orochimaru, Kakuzu and Hidan are both dead" the figure said "50 percent of our members gone" he said as he looked around.
"So, what is our plan Lord Pein" a hunch back hologram said to the now known Pein.
"We must stay our hand until the time is right" Pein said to the hunched figure "Sasori, Deidera; from what Zetsu has told me Itachi is hunting you 2 down, stay in the shadows and stay on your toes" he said and both the now mentioned Sasori and Deidera nodded.
"I'd like to see Itachi try" Deidera said with a smile "I've been looking for a reason to blow him up since the day I met him" he said.
"Stay away from him Deidera" came a voice from one of the real persons standing on the finger of the statue; the person removed their hood revealing Sasuke Uchiha and his telltale sharingan activated "he's mine to kill and mine alone; get in my way and I'll kill you" Sasuke said with a scowl on his face.
"Patience Sasuke" the other person said removing their hood revealing a pale man with 2 red dots tattooed on his forehead "good fortune comes to those who wait" he said. Sasuke looked over to the pale man and scowled.
"Shut up Kimmimaru; you are lucky to even be here" Sasuke said "if it weren't for Zetsu, you and Jugo would have been left to rot in that bunker in Oto" Sasuke said.
"Please refrain from talking to Kimmimaru like that Sasuke" Jugo said trying to calm him down.
Kimmimaru and Jugo were found by the Akatsuki with the last remnants of Orochimaru's holdouts; the Akatsuki killed everyone except Kimmimaru and Jugo as they thought those 2 would be good additions to the organization. Sasori replaced Kimmimaru's lungs with prosthetics to keep him alive and Pein fixed Jugo's mind in order to make him more cooperative.
"Silence you 3" Pein said stopping their squabbling "we will remain in the shadows for the next 3 years; and when the time is right, we will strike" he said before looking around. "Stay hidden that is an order" Pein said as he and the other holograms vanished.
"3 years is more than enough time to prepare" Madara Uchiha said coming from out of the shadows "3 years of training and preparation" he said. Madara looked over to Sasuke "to prepare to kill Itachi" he said and Sasuke scowled; he then turned to Kimmimaru "to kill the woman who killed your master" he said and Kimmimaru also scowled.
"There is no time to waste" Madara said turning around "follow me; we must begin" he said; Sasuke, Kimmimaru and Jugo all followed Madara leaving the room with the statue empty and encased in darkness.
