Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 22
Road leading to Konoha: 3 years after Naruto left
Mei, Jiraya and Naruto were all walking down the road as the gates of Konoha appeared off in the distance "finally back" Jiraya said with a smile "those three years flew by eh" he said to Mei and she nodded.
"It was too fast in my opinion" Mei said with a huff "I can't believe my love is going to be gone from me for 3 years" she said. Naruto suddenly leaned over and kissed her on the cheek while holding her close.
"Don't worry Mei" Naruto said with his signature smile "I'll be back on the weekends and when ever I take time off; I promise" Naruto said and Mei nodded with a small smile on her face. Mei looked at Naruto and how much he changed over the years.
Naruto now stood at 5'10" about an inch and a half taller than her; he wore a black dark blue muscle shirt with the Kiri symbol on it, black cargo pants and sandals and a larger version of the jacket that Mei gave him before he entered the chunin exams. Naruto's hair grew longer during his training and he decided to cut it; he now had a fade on the sides while keeping his hair on top slightly long only being out of his eyes due to his Konoha head band.
However the biggest difference in Naruto was his arms hidden beneath his jacket; Naruto's arms and chest were a lot more muscular due to him using the executioners blade and intense weight training thanks to Kisame. However on the inside he was still the optimistic and positive Naruto.
"Man, I can't wait to get back" Naruto said with a pep in his step "I can see Ji-ji and his kid, Old man Teuchi, Ayame and Chojiro, Karin and Kakashi sensei" Naruto said before his expression changed. "I know I was a dick to him before I left" Naruto said "but I hope me and him can bury the hatchet; he is still my sensei" Naruto said.
Jiraya patted his shoulder and looked at him with a smile "forgiving someone for wronging you is a big deal Naruto; but if I know Kakashi he will do everything to do the same to you" Jiraya said and Naruto nodded. "And who knows maybe he can help you on the water rasengan" Jiraya said.
"I can't believe after 3 years you 2 could not find a way to make one" Mei said "I mean you 2 busted your asses" she said; Mei then turned and saw both Naruto and Jiraya look down in defeat.
"I tried my best" Naruto said poking his fingers together.
"I'm a sealing expert not a ninjutsu expert; even Minato couldn't figure it out" Jiraya said; Mei then sweat dropped.
'Crap; maybe I shouldn't have brought that up' Mei thought.
In Konoha: Hokage office
Tsunade and Hiruzen were waiting in the Hokage office awaiting Naruto and Jiraya's return "Just a little longer Tobirama" Hiruzen said to the little boy sitting on his lap "just a little longer and you can meet your uncle" he said with a smile on his face.
Hiruzen was holding his 2-and-a-half-year-old son Tobirama Sarutobi-Inuzuka in his arms; he decided to name him after his dearly departed sensei. The boy had brown spikey hair like Tsume but a face like his except for the Inuzuka clan tattoos on his cheeks; he was a spitting image of Hiruzen and he hoped he would turn into a great shinobi one day.
There was a knock at the door and both Tsunade and Hiruzen perked up "come in" Tsunade said from behind the desk. The door opened up and Naruto, Mei and Jiraya all walked in "Hey granny Tsunade, Ji-ji; long time no see" Naruto said with a bright smile.
"Naruto, my boy, you're back" Hiruzen said getting off the couch and carrying his son over "Naruto; saw hello to your nephew Tobirama" Hiruzen said as he showed Naruto his son.
"Woah, he looks just like you Ji-ji" Naruto said astonished; he walked up and put out his finger "hey buddy how's it going; I'm Naruto" Naruto said. The little boy reached out and grabbed his finger and pulled it towards him.
"Nawubo" Tobirama said in his childish voice
"Oh, my got he's so precious" Mei squealed as she walked up "can I hold him please" Mei asked and Hiruzen nodded. Mei picked up Tobirama and held him close "hey there cutie; oh, you're a big boy aren't you" she said; Tobirama looked at her and smiled. Suddenly Tobirama reached down Mei's dress and put his hand on her breasts "hey" Mei said holding him out "no, no, no; no touchy" she said; Tobirama giggled and clapped and Mei forgot all about it. "Oh, I can't stay mad at you" Mei said nuzzling the little kid.
"See sensei it's not a mistake" Tsunade said "little twerp has a groping problem; I swear if were not careful we'll have another Jiraya on our hands" she said.
"Aww Tsunade; I know deep down you missed me" Jiraya said wrapping his arm around Tsunade.
"Like a hernia" Tsunade said before smiling "welcome back pervert" she said. "Welcome back brat" Tsunade said to Naruto "so have you got stronger or is that whole get up just for show" Tsunade said and Naruto stuck his tongue out.
"Get real granny" Naruto said "I've been working my butt off; I can't beat Mei, pervy sage or Kisame yet but I'm getting there" Naruto said.
"Well, I expect nothing less from you Naruto" came a voice from a window; Naruto looked over and saw Kakashi sitting there looking the same as usual "yo" he said raising up his hand.
"Kakashi sensei" Naruto said with a smile; Kakashi smiled at this as he was glad Naruto decided to forgive him, but he knew he had a long way to go "what are you doing here" Naruto asked walking up to shake his hand.
"I called him here to test you" Tsunade said "I figured training with an S-rank ninja and 2 Kage level ninja you're going to be more of a challenge; so Jiraya will go out with the 2 of you while you both spar" Tsunade said.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to go too" Hiruzen said "I'm also interested in seeing how much you improved" he said and Tsunade nodded.
"Very well; you 4 go and spar" Tsunade said before looking at Mei "me and Mei here have some thing to discuss" she said and Mei nodded.
"Ok let go and do this" Naruto said as he, Jiraya, Hiruzen and Kakashi all disappeared in a swirl of leaves; Mei walked up and sat down across from Tsunade still holding Tobirama.
"Ok so what Kage stuff we need to discuss" Mei said still playing with Tobirama; Tsunade leaned over and pressed a button.
"Shizune, grab Tobirama's bag and get ready to leave to the Inuzuka compound" Tsuande said confusing Mei "oh this isn't Kage talk… it's girl talk" she said and Mei nodded.
"Well, what are we waiting for; lead the way" Mei said with a smile and Tsunade began to lead Mei out.
With Naruto, Jiraya, Hiruzen and Kakashi
Naruto, Jiraya, Hiruzen and Kakashi all arrived to team 7's former training groun "man it's been forever since I've been here" Naruto said looking around "I remember it was you, me, Sasuke and Sakura" Naruto said to Kakashi. "By the way were is Sakura" Naruto asked and Kakahi eye smiled.
"She's been moved to… personnel" Kakashi said.
With Sakura
Sakura was currently pounding away on a type writer along with over a dozen others in the same room; Sakura has been in this department for over 3 years now. She hasn't been training, going on missions or looking for her missing Sasuke; all she has been doing is typing reports and clerical work.
'This is such fucking bullshit' Sakura thought 'I'm a ninja not a receptionist' she thought in anger; she got moved here because frankly her mission reports and her participation in the chunin exams proved a hard and simple fact.
She sucked as a ninja and relied on Naruto and Sasuke to do the fighting and heavy lifting 'just you wait; I'll be out of here and back in the field' she thought as she typed out another report.
Back with Naruto and the others
"Personnel… that's for assholes" Jiraya said; Hiruzen looked at him with a stern look and walked forward.
"I was in volunteered to be in personnel for 4 years" Hiruzen said and Jiraya put his hand up in defense.
"Ok back on track" Naruto said trying to avoid Jiraya from getting his ass beat "so Kakashi sensei how do you want to do this" he asked Kakashi.
"Hmmm" Kakashi said in thought "you can use the blunt side your sword and any jutsu you want" he said and Naruto nodded. "I'll refrain from using my sharingan as I've improved it so much it would be unfair to you" he said with a eye smile.
"Oh really" Naruto said with a smirk "ok deal; don't cry when I beat you" Naruto said and Kakashi waved him off; Kakashi jumped away so both were standing a few hundred yards apart.
"Ready when ever you are" Kakashi said taking out a kunai and charging it up with lightning chakra forming a physical blade on his hand. Naruto got his sword and got into his stance.
"Call it pervy sage" Naruto said and Jiraya chuckled.
"Ok then" Jiraya said picking up his hand as he and Hiruzen stood on the side lines "begin" he said dropping his hand.
Both Naruto and Kakashi rushed forward and collided as their blades clashed creating sparks upon impact; Kakashi felt the weight of Naruto's weapon as it hit.
"So, you did get stronger" Kakashi said "Very well then" he said as he closed his eye. 'First gate: gate of opening… open' Kakashi activated the first of the eight gates and it increased his strength so now he was even with Naruto.
Kakashi hopped onto Naruto's blade and threw a kick towards Naruto's face; Naruto brought up his hand and caught Kakashi's foot. Kakashi spun around and used the heel of hi other foot in an attempt to kick Naruto; Naruto ducked and pulled his blade back as Kakashi jumped off and landed in a crouch.
Naruto brought down his blade on its flat side in a attempt to squash Kakashi; Kakashi dodged to the side and threw the kunai blunt end first towards Naruto. Naruto moved his head just in time as the kunai grazed his cheek leaving a light burn on it; Naruto proceeded to dig his blade into the ground and lift up a chunk of earth like he was using a shovel.
Kakashi not expecting this lost his balance for a split second and stumbled back; Naruto came forwards with a kick landing it on Kakashi's chest. Kakashi was sent backwards through the air before doing a flip and landing.
"Wow Naruto that kind of tickled" Kakashi said with an eye smile.
"You haven't seen nothing yet" Naruto said with a smirk.
With Jiraya and Hiruzen
"Naruto has improved his taijutsu and his kenjutsu; I say he's about even with Kakashi without his sharingan" Hiruzen said raising an eyebrow.
"Me and Mei refined his tiajutsu while Kisame and Raiga worked on his sword skills" Jiraya said "but ninjutsu is a whole different story" he said and Hiruzen nodded as they both looked on.
With Naruto
Naruto stabbed his sword to his side, bit his thumb and began to go through hand signs; Naruto spilled some water from his canteen onto the ground and slammed his hand into the puddle "summoning jutsu" Naruto shouted as a puff of smoke appeared.
Watasumi in shark form appeared in shark form now about 4 feet long hopping up to Naruto's shoulder; Naruto caught her and put his hand on her belly "ready" Naruto said.
"Let's do this big brother" Watasumi said; Naruto cocked his arm back and threw Watasumi like a football with her spinning with her fin blades towards the surprised Kakashi. "Shark Javalin attack" Watasumi shouted as she neared Kakashi.
Kakashi had to bend backwards at a 90-degree angle as Watasumi passed over him; Watasumi missed just barely as her blades only left a minor cut on Kakashi's flak jacket. Kakashi came back up and felt his back crack "oh damn my back" Kakashi whined; Kakashi saw Naruto charging towards him with his sword; as Kakashi got ready he heard foot steps behind him "what" Kakashi said as he turned around.
"Hyaa" Watasumi shouted as she threw a kick at Kakashi's head now in her human transformation; Watasumi was now wearing a dark grey kimono, blue sandals and wielding 2 kama's in her hands.
Kakashi ducked under the kick from Watasumi only to be greeted by Naruto slashing a him; Kakashi jumped back and made a hand sign "Shadow clone jutsu" Kakashi created a clone and both took out a kunai as they saw both Naruto and Watasumi charging at him. "Hmm a combined attack; interesting" Kakashi said as he and his clone charged in.
With Hiruzen and Jiraya
"Ahh a summon to help him in battle" Hiruzen said with smile "just like me and Enma" he said.
"Yeah" Jiraya said "he loves her like a little sister; by the way she's going to stay here too, she only goes back to the summoning world to see her mom once every month" he said and Hiruzen nodded.
With Naruto and Watasumi
Watasumi was in a fast-paced blade fight with Kakashi's clone as both struggled to land a hit on each other "hahaha" Watasumi laughed in delight "this is fun" she said and the clone smiled.
"I'm glad to hear that" the clone said as he swept Watasumi off her feet and was about to punch her; Watasumi rolled and hopped back up "darn almost got you" he said with an eye smile and Watasumi laughed.
Naruto and Kakashi were both swinging their blade at each other as neither could get a hit; Naruto seeing as this was getting him nowhere shouted "Watasumi: combo attack" Naruto shouted.
"Ok" Watasumi shouted as she and Naruto fell back to the river "ready" she asked and Naruto nodded.
"Lets rock" Naruto said; both Naruto and Watasumi began to go through a fast set of hand signs until they stopped.
"Water Style: Shark Tidal wave" they both shouted; the water behind them began to rise about 30 feet into the air and began to go forwards to Kakashi and his clone. As the wave neared the water began to show hundreds of water sharks with their mouths open.
'Oh shit' Kakashi thought as he and his clone went through hand signs before slamming his hands to the ground "Earth Style: Earth pillars" he shouted. Kakashi and his clone were brought above the wave just as it hit as the water was now only 3 feet away from the top; Kakashi looked over to his clone and saw he was still there.
Suddenly Watasumi back in shark form hopped out of the water towards Kakashi's clone "chomp, chomp" she said before she but Kakashi's clone and dragged it under the water as the tide went down. Kakashi got the memories of the clone.
'Damn she's brutal' Kakashi thought before mentally smacking himself 'no shit she's a shark' he thought as the wave died down and he hopped off his platform and saw both Naruto and Watasumi standing a few yards away.
" Thanks, little sis; you can go and wait on the side lines" Naruto said with a smile.
"Ok have fun" Watasumi said as she ran off to the side lines to stand next to Jiraya and Hiruzen "Hi I'm Watasumi; who are you" she said looking at Hiruzen.
"Hello dear I'm Hiruzen; former third hokage" Hiruzen said patting her head "and you are as cute as a button" he said and Watasumi giggled.
"Ok Naruto" Kakashi said "one last jutsu; let's see who's stronger in water jutsu" he said and Naruto smirked.
"You're on" Naruto said; both Naruto and Kakashi went through hand signs as both were going to use the river's water for their attack. Both Naruto and Kakashi stopped on their final hand sign.
"Water Style: Water Dragon jutsu" Kakashi said as a water dragon appeared out of the water.
"Water shark style: Great white juggernaught" Naruto shouted; a giant great white shark made of water appeared out of the water and launched itself at Kakashi's water dragon.
Both Water creations collided fighting for dominance as everyone waited to see who's justu would win; Naruto's attack had more force but was slower while Kakashi's was faster but had less punch. Both jutsu's wrestled for dominance as both casters looked on in anticipation.
Kakashi's water dragon wrapped around Naruto's shark bursting it before itself died as the water rained down soaking both Naruto and Kakashi.
"Aww damn it; I was so close" Naruto shouted as he acknowledged his defeat "crud… you win Kakashi sensei" Naruto said and Kakashi chuckled as he walked up. Kakashi patted Naruto on his shoulder and eye smiled.
"Wow that was pretty close; good job Naruto" Kakashi said making Naruto smile "I think with a few more years of training you could beat me with me using my sharingan" Kakashi said and Naruto laughed.
"If you do that, I need to use my shark sage mode" Naruto said as Kakashi raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really" Kakashi said "well maybe next time then" he said with a chuckle; Jiraya, Hiruzen and Watasumi all walked up to the 2 soaked ninja.
"Well done you 2" Hiruzen said impressed "you both put up quite a fight" he said.
"Good job big brother" Watasumi said jumping and hugging Naruto "and you too Mr. Kakashi" she said a she hugged him too.
"Still have a long way to go but the journey to success is a long and tedious one" Jiraya said to Naruto "but enough about that lets go celebrate with some ramen" Jiraya said and both Naruto and Watasumi cheered.
"Yay ramen" they both cheered much to the other delight.
With Mei, Tsunade, Tsume and Shizune
"So, wait you 2 haven't done it yet" Tsume said putting down her cup of Sake "I mean you've been together for 3 years so far" she said to a slightly intoxicated Mei.
"I agree" Tsunade said "me and Dan were like rabbits every chance we could get; you seriously haven't banged at all" she said.
"Eww sensei; don't talk about you and my uncle like that" Shizune said blushing while playing with Tobirama.
"I know, I know" Mei said "but Naruto wants to wait for a special moment and I'll respect his wishes" she said before taking another drink. "But damn I'm anxious" Mei said "I mean we've been through so much; and we even seen each other's… faults" Mei said with a embarrassed look.
*Flashback
Mei just got home from her office and was heading to the toilet 'oh man I'm so tired' she thought; she put her hand on the door knob and opened the door. Upon entering she saw Naruto sitting on the toilet with a porn mag and him touching himself.
"Mei, oh god get out" Naruto shouted in embarrassment trying to cover himself.
"Ah Naruto… sorry" Mei shouted as she got out and slammed the door 'oh god I just saw him… and I saw his…' Mei thought with a blush. 'And I always told him to knock before entering' Mei thought walking to the second bathroom.
*Flashback end
"So, you saw him rubbing one out; big whoop" Tsume said shrugging "you know how many times Kiba's come back with lotion and a black bag; boys will do that even if they have a woman" she said taking another drink. "I mean Hiruzen doesn't because well" Tsume said with a smirk "I keep him busy if you catch my drift" she said and Mei slammed her head on the table.
"Crap" Mei said and Tsunade patted her back.
"Boys are strange that's for sure" Tsunade said taking another drink.
With Naruto and the others.
Naruto sneezed into his jacket while he was eating ramen 'is someone talking about me' he thought.
"So, Naruto how has things been with you and lady Mei" Chojiro asked from behind the counter; while not training or doing missions he has been helping Ayame and her father run the ramen stand.
"Oh, it's been great" Naruto said before taking a bite of ramen "I mean we have our ups and downs; but mostly good" Naruto said. "Although there is one thing that kinda ticks me off" Naruto said and everyone looked at him.
"Huh really what is it" Jiraya asked curiously.
*Flashback
Naruto and Mei were both sleeping in bed at night; suddenly Mei farted and it was loud enough to wake her up. Mei sat up and looked over to Naruto; Mei slapped Naruto on the shoulder waking him up.
"Huh… what" Naruto said confused.
"You are so gross" Mei said before laying back down and leaving Naruto confused.
"What the hell did I do" Naruto said quietly as he laid back down as well.
*Flashback end
"I mean damn woman; quit blaming me for that, you do it too" Naruto said and everyone laughed.
"Naruto never try to understand women" Jiraya said.
"They are fickle creatures" Hiruzen said.
"Naruto a woman never farts" Ayame said "she toots; there's a difference" she said with a smirk that made Naruto mad.
"That's exactly what she says" Naruto said as he ate his food "girls are weird" he said.
'Huh; women don't fart they toot' Watasumi thought 'I don't get it' she thought as she ate her seafood ramen.
Later that night
Naruto and Watasumi dragged a drunk Mei into their new house "I-I'm f-f-fine" Mei said and Naruto shook his head.
"Babe your drunk; just let me help" Naruto said as he knew Mei would fight this "come on off to bed" he said.
"H-hey I don't want to go to bed" Mei said as they dragged her into her room; Naruto and Watasumi both threw her on the bed "I-I-I-I am your Mizukage and, and, and your girlfriend" Mei said drunkenly. "I don't have to- "she began until she passed out and began to snore.
Naruto and Watasumi both laughed at this and they began to take off her clothes; Mei was now in her bra and panties as Naruto tucked her into bed. Naruto leaned over and kissed her on her cheek making her smile subconsciously "come on Watasumi; lets go and watch some t.v" Naruto said and Watasumi nodded.
Watasumi left the room and Naruto looked at his drunk lover 'flaws and all you are still the most beautiful girl in the world to me' he thought "I love you Mei" Naruto said.
"Love you too Naruto" Mei said as she woke up for a brief moment before going back to sleep.
Naruto smiled and exited the room '1 more week until you go back to Kiri' Naruto thought 'and I'll treasure every moment of it' he thought as he walked to the living room.
2 weeks later
Yugito Nii was walking back from a mission as she passed through a town near the Kumo border; as she passed the border marker, she had a strange feeling and she stopped and turned around.
"I know you are there" Yugito said as she extended her claws "come on out" she ordered; 2 figures wearing black cloaks with red clouds stepped out of a alley between 2 buildings. They removed their stray hats and looked at the blonde Kumo kunoichi; one was a pale boy with 2 red dots tattooed on his forehead while the other was a tall boy with orange hair.
"Yugito Nii of the 2 tails" the pale boy asked and Yugito scowled "I'm Kimmimaru Kaguya" he said. Kimmimaru proceeded to pop out a bone sword from his shoulder and took it out "and I need you to come with us peacefully" he said in an even tone.
"How about fuck no" Yugito said as her Biji chakra began to leak out.
"Very well then" Kimmimaru said before looking over "Jugo; restrain her" he said; Jugo nodded as his curse mark began to cover his body.
'Crap; who are these guys' Yugito thought as she got ready to fight for her life.
Ok another chapter down; I hope you all enjoyed it. So, I added those 2 flashbacks because I wanted to add some funny couple stuff; and if your going to ask yes that happened to me and my girl both times. I always get blamed for it and I'm like 'you fart too lady' and she just scoffs and says 'no I don't; you do'; it makes me mad but damn it I still love her.
