Marinette worked away on her embroidery sampler, while Cat sat on the rug, glaring at the plate of cookies. Marinette wasn't sure why he hadn't devoured the whole plate ready, it wasn't like there was a sign that said "Do Not Eat". Even she had helped herself to a couple with a glass of milk, before starting her project.
"Are you on some kind of diet?" she asked, but Cat wasn't listening as he prowled over to the cookie plate, and glared at it. Then he stood behind Marinette speaking in a hushed voice as if the plate could hear him. "Just look at it. Just-Just sitting there."
Marinette calmly continued her work, she was used to Cat's strange moods. "Kitty, I'm busy. How about you play with your mouse or go splash in the tub."
"I wouldn't enjoy myself, knowing the cookies are calling out, "Eat me, Cat Noir! Eat me, or we may invade your dreams!" Cat snatched up a cookie with cat-like reflexes, shoving it into his mouth.
Marinette groaned internally as cookie crumbs courtesy of Cat, dropped into her hair. "Just take the plate and go up on the balcony. I have work to do!"
She pointed with knitting needles. Cat snatched up the plate, still munching. "Fine." "I'll call you when dinner's ready," she called to the retreating tail. "Love you."
Cat happily scampered up to the balcony, at last being able to enjoy the cookies. Acting like the sweetened carbs were a temptation was exhausting, but when came to cookies, Cat was well up to the challenge!
