Mist and Malestroms: Chapter 24
Inside the cave 15 minutes before Naruto and company arrive: With Kimmimaru and Jugo
Kimmimaru and Jugo were both still standing in place as they continued to suck the 2 tailed biju out of Yugito; at they were doing so a seal on Kimmimaru's arm began to tingle him alerting him of outsiders approaching his and Jugo's position.
Kimmimaru opened his eyes and spoke "we have company" Kimmimaru said; Pein was the only one to open his eyes "I need to act now in order to deter them; we still have another day until the sealing is complete" he said.
"Go and handle them with Jugo and your other ally" Pein said "we will continue the sealing but we will require more time; we need another 18 hours to complete the sealing" he said and Kimmimaru nodded.
"Very well lord Pein" Kimmimaru said; Kimmimaru went over to Jugo and tapped his shoulder gaining his attention "Jugo go and get him and get ready for battle; they will have to split up in order to deactivate the seals" Kimmimaru said "I will go north, you go east and he will go west" he said and Jugo nodded. "We will kill them and buy time for the others" he said and Jugo nodded.
"Ok Kimmimaru" Jugo said as he ran off down a corridor.
30 Minutes later: With Naruto, Watasumi and Omoi
"Man, why can't a mission be simple for once" Naruto whined as he ran through the forest with Watasumi and Omoi "we have to deactivate some seals before we bust in; these guys suck" Naruto said.
"What if we don't make it in time" Omoi said "if we don't make it in time then we lose the Yugito, if we lose Yugito then Kumo loses the 2 tails, and if we lose the 2 tails then Kumo will become vulnerable and if Kumo becomes vul- "he began until Watasumi slapped him on the back of the head.
"Hey" Watasumi shouted in annoyance "we are going to make it and we will save miss Yugito" she said assuredly.
"Your right Watasumi" Naruto said "all we have to do is- get down" Naruto shouted; Watasumi and Omoi ducked down to the ground as Naruto pulled out his sword. Naruto swung his sword hitting an object with a resounding 'clang'; Naruto looked and saw what looked like an overly large sewing needle controlled by a piece of metal thread.
The needle flew back and returned to its owner "so this is what the 7 swordsmen has become" the figure said coming into sight "recruiting foreign ninja; what a disgrace to Kiri" he said. A boy around Naruto's age with white hair, purple eyes, purple shirt and shark like teeth appeared.
"That's the Nuibari sword" Naruto said astonished "that has been missing from Kiri for over 20 years" he said. Naruto scowled and spoke "who the hell are you and why do you have that sword" Naruto shouted and the boy chuckled.
"I'm Suigetsu Hozuki" Suigetsu said with a smirk "and I intend to rebuild the 7 ninja swordsmen" he said before scowling. "And I'll start by killing you and taking Lord Zabuza's blade back" Suigetsu said "Konoha trash like you should not be allowed to wield such a legendary blade" he said.
"Eat a dick dude" Naruto said "I'm a real member of the 7 swordsmen, not some knock off wannabe like you" he said. "Watasumi, Omoi get ready; we need to wrap this up quick" Naruto said.
"Ok big brother" Watasumi said taking out her sword.
"Let's do this" Omoi said taking out his own sword.
"2 novices and a pretender" Suigetsu said getting ready "this should be fun" he said.
With Kakashi, Itachi and Tayuya
Kakashi, Itachi and Tayuya were rushing to the seal they were going to deactivate in order to rescue Yugito; as they did so the stone with the seal came into sight on a rock a few hundred yards away.
"There it is" Kakashi said "lets hurry" he said as both Itachi and Tayuya nodded; as they ran forward Tayuya got a familiar sense of dread and shouted.
"Stop" Tayuya shouted stopping both Itachi and Kakashi in their tracks; just then bone spikes began to shoot out of the ground making their way towards them. Itachi grabbed Tayuya and activated his Susanoo; the Susanoo was hit by the bone spikes but did not break as it protected the both of them.
Kakashi seeing the bone spikes went through hand signs 'Earth Style: Earth pillar' Kakashi slammed his hands to the ground creating an earth pillar lifting him high off the ground to safety. Kakashi, Itachi and Tayuya all turned and looked to where the spikes originated from; as they did so Tayuya felt her blood run cold.
"Fuck me" Tayuya said; Kimmimaru appeared out of one of the bone spikes and walked out in front of the seal "Kimmimaru" she said.
"Hello Tayuya; I can recognize that foul language anywhere" Kimmimaru said looking at Tayuya; Tayuya seeing no point in wearing the mask took it off.
"What the fuck; why the hell are you here" Tayuya said "last time I saw your ass you were knocking on deaths fucking door" she said.
"The Akatsuki healed me and gave me a new purpose" Kimmimaru said "I wish to kill the one who killed Lord Orochimaru; Mei Terumi" he said. "With the Akatsuki and their power they will help me fulfill my wish" Kimmimaru said as bones began to grow out of his hands for him to use as swords "so you will not pass" he said.
"Damn it" Itachi said as he deactivated his Susanoo and took out his sword "Kakashi, Tayuya; lets dispose of him" he said activating his sharingan from behind his mask.
"Agreed" Kakashi said raising his head band revealing his sharingan.
"You're going to die here you albino freak" Tayuya said taking out her flute.
With Kurama, Karin and Hinata
Kurama, were all Karin and Hinata were all going to where they believed the seal was; as they ran through the woods Karin and Hinata were scouting ahead in order to look for trouble. As they were doing so Hinata and Karin found the seal and found someone standing guard.
"Mr. Fox, I found it; and there is someone there guarding it" Hinata said and Kurama nodded.
"Great we get a 2 for 1 deal" Kurama said "I get to kill an enemy and continue the mission" he said.
"I don't think it will be that easy" Karin said gaining their attentions "his chakra feels…off; like not entirely human" she said.
"Oh really" Kurama said with a smile creeping onto his face "you first had my interest; but now you have my attention" he said and Karin groaned in frustration.
Kurama, Karin and Hinata all stopped at the edge of a rocky cliff and saw a tall, shirtless man with orange hair "is that him" Kurama said and Karin nodded.
"You 3 should run away" Jugo said as a curse mark began to spread across his body "if not you 3 will-"Jugo began until he was kicked off the cliff by Kurama who rushed him at an incredible stunning Hinata and making Karin face palm herself.
"Hey babe I'll take him on alone" Kurama said "just deal with the seal and take a breather or something" he said as he jumped after Jugo. Hinata turned to Karin with a worried look and spoke.
"Is he going to be ok" Hinata asked and Karin sighed while shaking her head.
"He'll be fine" Karin said "I just wish he'd take battles more seriously; he's not the unstoppable demon he likes to think he is" she said. Hinata looked at her confused.
"Is that hyperbole" Hinata asked.
"Sure" Karin said as she and Hinata walked over to the seal; they both looked at it and Karin took in a deep breath "ok I'm going to break the seal; just keep me covered" Karin said and Hinata nodded. Karin took out a book of seals and opened it up "ok let's get cracking" she said.
With Kurama
Kurama landed in front of Jugo who was wiping off the dirt from his body "Ok boy" Kurama said taking off his mask showing his crazed smile "go all out; I want battle to remeber" he said. Jugo nodded.
"Very well" Jugo said as his curse mark began to cover his whole body; Jugo was now in his final curse mark form and Kurama scoffed.
"Is that all" Kurama said and Jugo shook his head.
"No" Jugo said as he took out 3 vials of black liquid; the vials were full artificial curse mark venom made by Kabuto and Orochimaru. It was made to give the cure mark to other people of interest if Orochimaru wasn't there to inject them himself; they were a failure as all the subjects died. However, it had a side effect for those who already had the curse mark.
Jugo popped the vials and drank the liquid making Kurama tremble in excitement; Jugo began to clutch his chest and cough. As he did his muscles began to bulge and grow, his skin turned from grey to black, and he began to foam at the mouth.
Kurama looked on as the already tall Jugo was now 8 feet tall with muscles the size of tree trunks and had a feral and deranged look on his face.
Kurama however was only smiling "perfect" Kurama said as he shed his armor and weapons; Kurama began to release his chakra until he was now in his 4-tail cloak. He had 4 slowing chakra tails, long sharp claws and fangs "well let's get started shall we" Kurama said.
Both Kurama and Jugo rushed towards each other and began their battle.
With Naruto, Watasumi and Omoi
Naruto threw several kunai at Suigetsu who dodged and threw the Nuibari at Naruto; Naruto ducked under the sword just as hit passed over his head. The sword pierced through the tree behind Naruto and landed in the tree behind it; Naruto stood up and brought up his sword to cut the wire controlling the sword.
Naruto's sword contacted with the wire and he was shocked when the sword bounced off; Suigetsu seeing this manipulated the sword by pulling on the wire. The sword came flying back and went back through the tree and towards Naruto; Suigetsu manipulated the wire and sent the wire towards Naruto's head.
Naruto seeing the sword coming back towards him leaned back as the sword approached; the sword cut Naruto just above his eye missing only cutting his skin. Naruto jumped back and closed his left eye as the blood bled down the side of his face.
Suigetsu smiled at his successful hit, however his excitement was short lived as he heard a foot step behind him.
"Got you" Watasumi said as she slashed Suigetsu at his waist; Watasumi was now in front of him and spun around expecting him to be bisected but was shocked at what she saw. Suigetsu's body turned into water and was reforming at an alarming rate.
"Sorry to disappoint you" Suigetsu said as he rushed at Watasumi; Suigetsu slashed at Watasumi who brought up her sword to defend herself. Watasumi blocked the slash from Suigetsu and parried with her sword; Watasumi spun around and tried to kick Suigetsu in the head but her foot went through his head and she lost her balance. "Ha dumbass" Suigetsu said as he got ready to slash down at Watasumi; however, before he could he heard a shout.
"Hey kid get back" Omoi shouted; Watasumi jumped back and Omoi began his attack. Omoi came from Suigetsu's side and stabbed him; Suigetsu smirked at this but it soon faded when Omoi made a hand sign.
Omoi began to run lightning chakra though his sword and into Suigetsu; the electric current began to run through Suigetsu who stiffened from the attack. Omoi seeing this pulled out his sword and kicked Suigetsu away; Suigetsu's body didn't turn into water and he was sent flying into a tree.
"Omoi; I have an idea" Naruto said to Omoi before he could rush in "you and Watasumi go and find the seal; I know how to beat this guy now" he said. Omoi looked towards Naruto with concern.
"Are you sure; now's not the time to show off" Omoi said and Naruto nodded.
"I got this; Watasumi knows what I'm going to do" Naruto said and Watasumi's eyes nodded.
"Naruto it won't be as effective out of water" Watasumi said and Naruto smiled.
"Hey trust me" Naruto said and Watasumi nodded; she looked over to Omoi and spoke.
"Let's go" Watasumi said; Omoi hesitated but nodded. They both ran off into the direction where the seal might be and Omoi looked over to Watasumi.
"Are you sure about this" Omoi asked and Watasumi nodded.
"Naruto will be fine" Watasumi said "lets focus on finding the seal" she said and Omoi nodded; they both continued running as they left Suigetsu to Naruto.
Naruto stabbed his sword into the ground and began to go though hand signs "you are so going to regret meeting me in a few seconds" he said as he finished his final hand sign. Naruto's canteens burst open and the water began to swirl around him; the water began to suck the moisture from the vegetation surrounding Naruto until a sphere of water formed around Naruto.
4 small sharks appeared, a great white, a hammerhead, a mako and a bull shark; they all began to circle Naruto as he began his transformation.
With Itachi, Tayuya and Kakashi
Kakashi and Itachi were both fighting Kimmimaru trying to kill the former sound ninja to continue with their mission; Itachi slashed at Kimmimaru with his sword aiming for his neck only for his sword contact a bone growing from Kimmimaru's collarbone.
Kakashi came from the other side with a kunai in his hand covered in lightning chakra; Kakashi slashed at Kimmimaru and Kimmimaru brought up his bone sword to block the attack. Kakashi and Kimmimaru's blades clashed and Kakashi's kunai cut halfway through the bone sword surprising Kimmimaru.
Kimmimaru retaliated by growing bone spikes from his body and sending them towards Kakashi and Itachi; Kakashi and Itachi both jumped back suffering from minor wounds.
Kakashi had a piercing wound on his chest that went through his flak jacket; however, it only broke skin and did not hit any vital organs. Itachi received a cut on his arm causing it to bleed but not enough to be considered life threatening.
Kimmimaru was about to pursue Kakashi in order to kill him but was stopped when a Doki wielding a club swung said club at him; Kimmimaru ducked under the club and slashed the Doki with his sword. The Doki showed no sign of pain and raised its club once more and swung it at Kimmimaru who jumped out of the way.
"Stay still you fucker" Tayuya shouted as she played her flute and sent a Doki with claws at Kimmimaru; the Doki raised it's claws and slashed at Kimmimaru who jumped over its arm. Kimmimaru aimed his hands at the Doki and fired his finger bones towards the Doki's head; the bone bullets hit the Doki causing it to stumble back.
Kimmimaru landed and ran up to finish it off but was kicked from the side by a final Doki that was bending backwards and had its hands bound. Kimmimaru slammed into a tree coughing up blood before getting back up.
"Ha serves you right asshole" Tayuya said.
Kimmimaru spat some blood out of his mouth and got back up; it was just then he realized that he made a mistake. Kimmimaru turned to look at the seal and scowled; Itachi was standing next to the seal as it was burning from his black Amaterasu flames.
"Objective complete" Itachi said "now then; lets dispose of this pest" Itachi said as he glared at Kimmimaru from behind his mask.
With Darui, Samui, Karui and Shino
Darui was with his squad and Shino as they waited for the seals on the cave entrance to be deactivated; as they waited, they saw the barrier sealing the cave flicker and one layer of the seal disappear.
"Looks like they destroyed a seal" Darui said and Samui nodded.
"I wonder what is taking them so long" Samui said on guard.
"They are probably being stalled by the enemy" Shino said gaining all their attentions "it's only logical; if the enemy is able to protect the seals and kill all those who try to disable them then that will buy them the necessary amount of time to complete the extraction process" he said. "And if one of the squads is wiped out then we will have to send a second squad in order to deactivate the seal and fight the enemy" Shino said.
"Damn it I hate waiting here" Karui said "Omoi and the other are out there and we can't help them" she said.
"Be patient Karui" Darui said "we will need to be here to render aid to Yugito and fight any other enemies that are inside the cave" he said and Karui nodded hesitatingly. Darui and the others stood guard waiting for the other seals to be deactivated 'please hurry' he thought.
With Kurama
"Graaaah" Kurama shouted as he slashed Jugo across the chest with his claws; Jugo screamed in pain and Kurama laughed "hahaha how you like that human" Kurama laughed as he began to slash Jugo more and more across his body.
As Kurama was about to slash again his arm was grabbed by Jugo; Jugo snapped the limb and picked up Kurama by the broken limb and raised him in the air. Jugo slammed Kurama into the ground and raised up his foot; Jugo stomped down on Kurama's chest cracking the ground underneath his foot.
Jugo began to stomped down on Kurama repeatedly making the ground shake from the impact; however, when Jugo tried to stomp down again his foot was caught by Kurama.
"My turn" Kurama said with a smile on his face; Kurama rolled over pulling Jugo to the ground and mounting him. Kurama's broken arm healed and was now fully functioning perfectly; Kurama cocked back his fists and began to mercilessly beat Jugo.
Kurama was punching Jugo at an incredible speed and with such force that is sounded like thunder claps; Jugo being beaten swung his fist and hit Kurama off of him sending him flying into a tree. Kurama slammed into the tree smashing through it and the next 3 trees behind it.
Jugo got up and growled like a wild animal as he looked at the direction Kurama went off in; a flash of red appeared back in the area and Kurama was there smiling.
"This is incredible" Kurama said excitedly "I never knew a human could be so animalistic, so brutal; this is the best fight I've had since Hashirama" he said. Jugo did not say anything as his wounds began to heal; Jugo's muscles began to bulge and he began to shake.
Jugo let out a loud and bone rattling roar; Kurama smiled and got into a crouch "time for round 2" he said.
With Karin and Hinata
Hinata was looking at the direction where Kurama ran off with the Akatsuki member as she heard the roar; Hinata looked at Karin and spoke.
"We need to help him" Hinata said to Karin who was still working on the seal "it sounds really serious; I know he's and anbu but- "she began but Karin looked at her.
"Don't worry he's got it" Karin said nonchalantly making Hinata go wide eyed "trust me if anything we would be getting in the way" Karin said as she made another line on the seal with her ink brush. "Ok that should do it; stand back" Karin said as she stepped back with Hinata; the seal had a multitude of lines around it and the lines began to glow.
The seal began to smoke for a few seconds until it burst into a white fire; Karin and Hinata looked on as the seal burned away. After a minute the seal was destroyed and the fire died out.
"Well, that's done" Karin said as she plopped onto the ground and opened a scroll "I say it's time for lunch" she said making Hinata go wide eyed. The scroll revealed 2 bento boxes that Karin made "man I'm hungry" Karin said as she removed her mask showing her face to Hinata "oh shit my bad; do you want some, it's chicken Teriyaki" Hinata sweat dropped at this.
Hinata was about to complain about her ally but let out a sigh as she knew it would be pointless "yes please" Hinata said as she sat down and began to have an awkward lunch with Karin.
"We'll go down in about 15 minutes; should be enough time for him to finish having his fun" Karin said and Hinata nodded.
With Darui, Samui, Karui and Shino
Darui and the others saw the barrier weaken even more and they all got ready for the last seal to be destroyed "2 down, 1 to go" Darui said and the others nodded.
With Naruto
Suigetsu was watching Naruto in the dome of water Naruto's transformation was complete; the dome of water exploded and Suigetsu looked on at Naruto and his new look.
Naruto was now shirtless holding his sword and leaning it on his shoulder; Naruto's whisker marks had turned into gills and his eyes turned completely black. Naruto's blonde hair now had dark grey highlights and his skin was now slightly blueish like Kisame but not as much.
"Ok buddy" Naruto said bringing his sword out in front of him; the water on the ground began to flow up and onto Naruto's blade covering it and making it hum from the fast vibration "lets get to it" Naruto said with a shark like smile.
