Mist and Maelstroms: Chapter 29
In Kiri country: With Kisame and Raiga
Kisame charged at Sasori who sent his puppets poisoned tail towards him; Kisame gripped Samehada tightly and swung at the tail knocking it to the side and rushed in to engage Sasori at close range. However, Sasori attacked once again as he fired a volley of poisoned senbon at Kisame; Kisame seeing this ducked down and avoided being hit as he was now in striking distance to Sasori.
Kisame swung Samehada at Sasori who brought up his puppets reinforced left arm to block the sword; Kisame cursed as his attack had no effect. Sasori chuckled as he activated his left arm's with and auditable click; Kisame hearing this jumped back and went through hand signs.
'Water Style: Water wall' Kisame created a wall of water just in time as Sasori's left arm fired poison shrapnel and needles; both the shrapnel and needles hit the water wall just a few inches away from Kisame's face.
"Damn it; this is why I hate puppet users" Kisame said to himself "they always have weapons hidden out the ass" he said as he began to go through hand signs once again. 'Water Style: Water Shark bomb' Kisame used the water in the moist ground to create a water shark and sent it towards Sasori.
Sasori brought his tail in front of him and began to spin it at high speeds until it was a blur; the water shark hit the tail and was destroyed only soaking Sasori. Sasori stopped spinning his tail and looked at Kisame "just let us have the 6 tails container Kisame" Sasori said "you'll only die trying to defend him" he said.
"Ha, nice try puppet boy" Kisame said "lets see you be so confident when I smash your dolls into splinters" he said with a smirk. However, Kisame was caught off guard when Sasori began to growl.
"You are going to pay for that 'dolls' comment" Sasori said as that his one pet peeve.
"Aww did I hit a nerve… you fucking sissy" Kisame said smirking; Sasori began to growl even louder.
'Just for that, I'm going to turn you into one of my puppets' Sasori thought as he brought his tail forward ready to begin the fight again
With Raiga
"Lightning shot" Raiga shouted as he fired another bolt of lightning at Deidera who was flying in the air on a clay bird; Deidera seeing the bolt of lightning veered off to the side to avoid being hit.
"Damn it, just my luck" Deidera cursed "out of everybody in this shithole country and I run into the only lightning user for miles" he said. Deidera put his hand into his pouch and grabbed a handful of his explosive clay; Deidera used the mouths on his hands to form a dozen clay spiders. "Take this asshole" Deidera shouted as he threw the clay spiders down towards Raiga; Raiga seeing this put both his Kiba blades together and began to charge lightning chakra.
'Lightning Style: Lightning pulse' Raiga unleashed a thin wave of lightning towards the clay spiders as they fell through the air; the lightning jutsu while not powerful was able to deactivate the clay spiders and kept them from exploding.
"Damn bastard" Deidera said as he reached into his pouches once more to get more clay; Deidera formed several clay sparrows and threw them at Raiga. Raiga saw the clay sparrows coming towards him and charged his swords with lightning chakra; Raiga sent a ball of lightning towards the sparrows and knocked most out of the air. However, 3 sparrows were not taken down and Raiga cursed as he began to run to avoid them.
One of the sparrows neared Raiga and Raiga slashed it with his electrified sword cutting it in half; however, the other 2 sparrows were too close and both went off. Raiga was sent flying into a tree; Raiga groaned as he sat up and saw his cloths were on fire.
"Oh shit" Raiga shouted as he patted out the flames; Raiga looked at Deidera still in the air and scowled 'I have to get him out of the air and back to the ground' Raiga thought as he got back into his stance.
With Kisame
Kisame used Samehada to block Sasori's tail as it came towards him; Sasori retracted his tail and began to strike at Kisame who was backing up in order to not get hit. Sasori advanced and opened his mouth and fired a second volley of poisoned senbon at Kisame.
Kisame dodged the senbon but was caught off guard in his hasty avoidance; Sasori brought his tail and slashed at Kisame. Kisame was slashed across his chest by Sasori's tail and winched from the pain as he jumped back; Kisame landed a good distance away and looked down at his wound.
The flesh around the cut was turning purple and Kisame felt a slight burning sensation 'damn it; I can feel the poison working its way into my system' Kisame thought as he gripped his sword and looked at Sasori. 'I have to finish this battle quickly' Kisame thought 'if I'm gonna die I'm taking this asshole with me' he thought.
"I know you can feel my poison begin to course through your body Kisame" Sasori said; Kisame smirked and looked at Sasori.
"It's just a flesh wound" Kisame said mockingly "but this won't be" Kisame said as he began to go through hand signs. 'Water Style: Water Vortex' Kisame used the water from the ground to make a water vortex and sent it towards Sasori; Sasori braced himself and began to spin his tail at a fast speed.
The water vortex hit and Sasori's tail acted as a shield protecting him from the water jutsu; however, Sasori was surprised when Kisame came out of the vortex. Kisame decided to throw caution into the wind as he was already poisoned so he had nothing to fear by getting hit again.
"Surprise dick head" Kisame shouted as he brought down Samehada; Sasori unable to block decided to do something he never done before and jump out of his puppet.
Kisame slammed Samehada onto the puppet shattering it and as he did so he saw a figure jump out and land a few feet away; Kisame looked and saw a redhead in his 20's and got confused. "Huh…so that's what you look like; you said you were in your 30's" Kisame said and Sasori began to chuckle.
"I am; although my body doesn't age" Sasori said as he grabbed his cloak and shed it off; Kisame saw Sasori's puppet body with a spool of cable in his stomach, bladed wings on his back and a weird cylinder in his chest "now then shall we- "Sasori began until he saw a bubble float towards him. Sasori realized what it was and jumped back as it touched the ground in front of him and exploded.
Kisame looked on wide eyed until he heard foot steps behind him; Utakata was on his feet again although there was a slight stagger in his walk as he walked up to Kisame. "He's quite a troublesome opponent isn't he" Utakata said "it's been a long time Kisame" he said.
"Have we met" Kisame asked not remembering any past association.
"Once; back during the last war" Utakata said "it was brief but our battalion fought a Konoha battalion; a saw you fight several Konoha jounin" he said.
"Nope not ringing any bells" Kisame said "hey let's finish off puppet boy here then we can talk" Kisame said and Utakata nodded.
"Don't get over confident Kisame" Sasori said "I haven't even shown you half of what I can do" he said as he grabbed a scroll and opened it. With a puff of smoke, a puppet emerged and Kisame saw that it was a puppet of the third Kazekage; the puppet opened its mouth and black sand made of iron came out "now then shall we continue" he said.
"Shit; this is annoying" Kisame said as he and Utakata got into their stances.
With Raiga
Raiga was running through the trees avoiding more clay sparrow's courtesy of Deidera; Raiga slid under a fallen tree and a sparrow hit it causing it to explode and start a small fire.
'Damn it' Raiga thought as he charged up a ball of lightning and launched it towards the clay sparrows hitting them and knocking them out of the air 'bullseye' he thought.
Deidera was flying in the air on his clay bird looking down at Raiga and cursed 'damn it; this is getting nowhere' he thought 'this asshole is the worst type of enemy I could've been given; I'm wasting my clay trying to take him out' he thought.
Raiga looked up and saw Deidera not sending anything towards him and decided to make his move; Raiga began to run up a tree until he reached the top and pointed both of his swords toward the air. The sky began to grow dark as dark clouds began to form overhead.
'Lightning style: Lightning funeral' Raiga began his technique as lightning began to rain down from the sky; Deidera seeing this began to fly his bird in evasive maneuvers in order to avoid being hit by the lighting.
"Damn it" Deidera shouted as he avoided the lightning by banking left to right; suddenly a lightning bolt hit his bird on the on the head shocking both the bird and Deidera. The result was Deidera taking some damage and his bird falling to earth at a fast speed "holy shit" Deidera shouted as he gripped onto his bird. Deidera crashed to the ground kicking up dust and Raiga canceled his technique.
'Finally,' Raiga thought as he hopped down the tree and began to run to where he saw Deidera crash 'now to finish this and go and help Kisame' he thought.
Deidera got up with shaky legs and blurry vision "motherfucker" Deidera said as he shook his head; Deidera heard footsteps and saw Raiga running towards him "you motherfucker" Deidera shouted as he reached into his pouch and grabbed some more clay.
Deidera created 4 clay worms and enlarged them before sending them towards Raiga; Raiga got his swords ready but before he could do anything the worms went into the earth and Raiga looked around.
'Where did they g- 'Raiga began but suddenly the earth under him exploded sending him into the air; Raiga landed a few yards away in a crouch and recoiled from the pain as he looked down and saw his right leg was burnt 'shit' he thought.
Deidera however was looking at what happened with a calculated eye 'why was the explosion so small; it should've killed him' he thought 'is it possible that the lightning strike affected my clay' he thought as he looked at both of his pouches.
Raiga was now standing and looking at Deidera 'I have to end this now' Raiga thought; Raiga charged at Deidera with both of his swords crackling with lightning. Deidera saw this and reached into his right pouch and grabbed some more clay; Deidera grabbed a handful of clay and molded it into a dozen clay centipedes.
Deidera released the small centipedes onto the ground and reached into his left pouch and grab the last of the clay inside that one 'damn; almost out' Deidera thought as he began to mold several clay dragon flies. Raiga seeing this sheathed both of his swords and made a hand sign.
"Water Style: Water clone jutsu" Raiga said; out of the moist ground came out 5 water clones that all ran beside Raiga as they closed the distance to get to Deidera. 2 of the water clones ran towards the clay centipedes in order to destroy them; the centipedes exploded destroying both clones and Deidera cursed as his diminishing clay was being used up.
Raiga smirked at this and made a ball of lightning with his swords and readied it; Raiga launched the ball of lightning at Deidera's Dragon flies. The lightning ball hit the dragon flies, disabling them and making them falling fall to the ground 'damn it' Deidera thought as he took out a kunai 'looks like I have to go out of my element' he thought as he charged at Raiga.
Raiga's clone approached Deidera and slashed at him with his swords; however, Deidera ducked under the sword and stabbed the clone making it disperse into water. Deidara turned around and saw Raiga's 2 other clones approaching from behind; Deidera threw his kunai at one of the clones destroying it before reaching into his pouch in order to retrieve more clay. Deidera decided to make a clay frog and threw it at the clone; when the frog got near it exploded and destroyed the clone. Deidera was about to reach into his pouch again when he was hit from the side by a ball of lightning.
Raiga launched a ball of lightning that hit Deidera dead on; Raiga seeing his chance went in for the kill. Deidera say Raiga and tried to for his clay; however, when he tried to he realized that the lightning that just hit him made his clay inert.
"Shit" Deidera shouted as he reached down to grab a second Kunai; Deidera grabbed the Kunai and brought it up but it was too late. Raiga closed the distance and sliced off Deidera's arm at the elbow making Deidera's eyes widened; doing a spin Raiga used his other sword to decapitate Deidera sending his head flying and rolling onto the ground.
Raiga was now breathing heavily as Deidera's headless body fell to the ground lifeless; Raiga took a knee to catch his breath 'that was harder than I thought' he thought as he got up and walked over to Deidera's head. Raiga opened a scroll and sealed the head into it 'might as well get paid for my troubles' he thought 'ok now to go and find Kisame' he thought as he turned and ran off to where he last saw Kisame.
With Kisame and Utakata
Sasori manipulated the third Kazekage using his chakra strings in order to launch his attack; the third Kazekage's iron sand went from a mass of flowing metal to hundreds of black iron needles. Sasori with a flick of his wrist launched the iron needles towards Kisame and Utakata.
Kisame and Utakata ran in separate directions trying to avoid the projectiles; Kisame began to go through hand signs 'Water Style: Water dragon jutsu' Kisame launched a water dragon at the iron sand needles. The water dragon clashed against the black iron sand making most of it lose shape and return back to the Kazekage puppet; however, there were a few needles still coming towards him. Kisame went through hand signs once again 'Water Style: Water wall' Kisame erected a high-pressure water wall to protect himself; the needles hit the wall and went halfway through until it stopped just inches from Kisame's face.
"That was close" Kisame said; Kisame then coughed up a little blood onto the ground as his vision became blurrier 'damn the poison' Kisame thought as he got back up shakily.
Utakata dodged and weaved through the descending Iron sand needles; Utakata ran and looked over to Sasori while bringing his bubble pipe to his lips 'Water Style: Explosive bubbles' Utakata launched a stream of bubbles towards Sasori.
Sasori seeing this began to run bringing the Kazekage puppet with him; the stream of bubbles followed Sasori until he took to the air using his metallic blade wings. However, as he did so he had to avoid a lighting bolt coming from down below; Sasori dodged at the last second and saw where it came from.
"You ladies still fighting; you are losing your edge Kisame" Raiga said and Kisame chuckled.
"I was unfortunate; you got to fight the member who was your elemental opposite" Kisame said with a smirk before he began to violently cough up blood "shit…" Kisame said falling to one knee. Raiga seeing this ran over and got in front of him holding both of his swords in front of him.
Sasori was in the air looking at this and was going over the angles in his head 'if he's here then that mean Deidera is dead' he thought 'Kisame is dying from my poison; but the jinchuriki is able to fight again and Raiga is back' he thought. '2 on one and one is a medium to long-range fighter… not good odds; even if I win, I'll be heavily damaged and will still need to bring the jinchuruki back without killing him' Sasori thought.
After a few more second of thinking he made up his mind 'best to retreat and live to fight another day' Sasori thought; Sasori using his wings flew away I leaving Raiga confused.
"Hey get back here "Raiga shouted as he began to run until he was stopped by Utakata.
"Don't go after him" Utakata said "don't be a dog chasing a meat cart; we won, that's all that matters" he said; Raiga was about to retort but stopped. He was tired from fighting Deidera and had no more energy to fight "besides we need to help Kisame here" Utakata said as he walked over to Kisame who was on his knees breathing heavily.
"Damn; your right" Raiga said "we need to get to Kiri; but will we make it in time" he asked Utakata who had a look of doubt on his face.
"W-wait" Kisame said weakly gaining their attentions "I have an idea" he said wheezing.
With Naruto, Mei and Watasumi
"Ramen time" Naruto cheered as he put on his jacket "oh boy Saturday evening special; buy one get one half price, I'm thinking one miso ramen and one chicken ramen" he said as he handed Mei her blue jacket.
"I'm thinking a seafood ramen and a beef BBQ ramen" Mei said and Naruto chuckled.
"Maybe combine both and you can have 2 serf and terf ramen" Naruto said and both he and Mei laughed until they stopped and looked at each other.
"Serf and Terf ramen" They both said "great idea" they both said again making Watasumi laugh.
"You 2 are so funny sometimes" Watasumi said "well I'm- "Watasumi began until she vanished into a puff of smoke making Naruto and Mei confused.
"Huh; she got summoned back" Naruto said "but her next clan meeting isn't until tomorrow" he said; a few seconds later Watasumi reappeared with Kisame, Raiga and Utakata in tow.
Naruto looked and saw that Raiga had multiple small burns and a badly injured foot, some guy he didn't know had multiple cuts and bruises all over his body and his cloths were slightly burnt and Kisame was on the ground with a large cut across his chest and the flesh around it was purple.
"Holy shit" Naruto shouted running over "Kisame, Raiga; what the hell happened" he shouted.
"Kisame is unconscious" Raiga said barely able to stand "he was poisoned" he said Mei ran over and picked up Utakata by putting his arm over her shoulder.
"Utakata; what happened" Mei asked to a wounded and tired Utakata.
"Tha Akatsuki; they came" Utakata said "I nearly got taken when these 2 arrived; Raiga killed one the other escaped" he said.
"Can you help Kisame; he's fucking dying here" Raiga said and Naruto nodded; Naruto created several shadow clones.
"Go and find Grandma Tsunade, Pervy Sage, Kakashi sensei and Itachi NOW" Naruto shouted and his clones nodded as he bent down and lifted up Kisame "hold on Kisame; we're gonna get you some help" he said as he and everyone else ran out the door to the hospital.
