Hi, everyone! Welcome to the next chapter of my first ever Bluey fanfic, Bluey and the Humans. Before I start this chapter, I want to get a couple of things out of the way. And this is going to be addressing the review that was left by Arika. I'm sorry that I haven't worked on my Felidae fic for a while. I'm trying to do two chapters a week for each story so I can try to get my stories done faster. Hopefully it works. I haven't cancelled it. So, please don't worry. Now with that out of the way, let's get to the chapter. Enjoy. Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Bluey. All rights go to its respective owners. I only own my OCs.
Chapter 5: The Heeler House
After driving a few miles and down a couple of blocks, the Heelers and the humans arrived at a really big house. Bandit turned off the car and they all got out.
"Here it is, kids. Home sweet home." He said.
Billy and Helen were shocked when they saw the Heeler house. Especially Billy. He had seen the house on TV when he was watching the Bluey cartoon, but he never thought he would see it in real life and up close for the first time. The two kids looked in surprise as they saw how big the house was. They instantly snapped out of their trance when they heard Bingo's voice.
"Billy? Helen? Are you alright?" She asked.
The kids turned to her.
"Yeah. We're fine, Bingo. We were just awestruck at how big your house is. I mean it almost looks like a mansion." Helen said, honestly.
The Heelers all laughed.
"If you like the outside of our house, then we know you're going to love the inside, mate." Bandit stated.
"You think so?" Asked Billy.
Bandit pointed at him with a wink.
"I know so."
The Heelers walked up the porch steps first with Billy and Helen following them. However, when they got to the door, Chilli noticed that Billy was standing there with an unsure look. She put her paw on his shoulder causing him to turn to her.
"Are you okay, Billy?" She asked, now concerned.
Billy sighed.
"Yeah. I'm fine. It's just that... being in a new environment and all is kinda hard for me to adjust to. I don't even know if I will." He told her.
Chilli gave the boy a reassuring smile.
"You're going to be just fine." She said, "I know living in a world of talking dogs that walk on two legs is going to be a little bit hard for you and your sister to adjust to at first, but I'm sure you two are going to get used to it eventually. Especially you, Billy. I believe in you."
"Really?"
"Really."
Before the boy knew it, the mother dog pulled him into a hug. It really surprised him to see someone else other than his father giving him a hug and also telling him that she believes in him. Knowing this, he forced a sad smile and returned the embrace. Billy and Chilli looked at each other.
"You know, Chilli, this is the first time someone other than my old teacher or my father said they believe in me. Thank you so much for saying that. It means a lot to me." Billy said, nearly crying.
Chilli chuckled.
"You're very welcome, Billy. I just want to see you two happy." She told him.
Bandit then opened the door and everyone walked in.
"Billy and Helen... welcome to our humble abode." He said.
The two humans were awestruck at the inside of the house. They could only imagine how many places there were in the house. Billy smiled. He was more than glad that he was actually in THE Heeler House. It was as if he just got his wish. There was silence for a few seconds until Bluey spoke.
"How do you like it?" She asked.
"It... It's great! This is without a doubt the best house in the world." Said an ecstatic Billy.
"I think so too. It looks like there's a lot of space here." Helen said.
Bandit laughed.
"You're absolutely right. We just know you two will have a fun time here." He assured them.
"Well, now that we're here, the only question is what to do." Said Helen.
They all put their hands and paws on their chins thinking of what to do. Just then, Chilli snapped her fingers showing she just got an idea.
"I just got an idea!" She said, "We can all each do different chores around the house and then we can play one of Bluey and Bingo's pretend games. Sound like a plan, everyone?"
Bandit, Bluey, and Bingo nodded in agreement.
"If it means that we get to play pretend, then we're all for it." Bluey said.
"We can play the xylophone freeze game!" Cheered Bingo.
"Yeah!
Bandit put his paw on his forehead.
"Oh no." He groaned as he remembered the last time they played that game.
Chilli looked at the two humans.
"What do you say, kids? Are you up to it?" She asked.
The siblings nodded with determination.
"Heck yeah." They said in unison.
"Alright, everyone. Let's rock and roll!" Cried Bandit.
And with that, they all started their work.
(Insert Working For The Weekend by Loverboy here.)
They started their chores with straightening up Bluey and Bingo's room where they each picked up the toys and made the beds. Next, they did the dishes by putting each of them in the dishwasher one load at a time. When they were done with that, they each cleaned both the floor with a broom and vaccum and wiped the windows spray and rags. Finally, they took out each of the trash bags out of the kitchen and the bathroom and took them to the trashcans. After that, they all cheered and high-fived each other in triumph.
"Way to go, everybody! I bet we had loads of fun." Chilli said.
"Heck yeah, we did. My sister and I haven't helped around the house in a long time. We used to help our parents with chores before things went bad. But I don't wanna talk about that." Said Billy.
"I'm gonna go get the xylophone." Bluey said as she ran upstairs.
"Wait for me, Bluey!" Said Bingo as she also ran upstairs.
Billy scratched his hair in confusion.
"I don't get it. Why do they need the xylophone again?" He asked.
Bandit laughed a little bit.
"Heh heh heh. Trust us, mate. You're going to enjoy it." He told him.
