Chapter 22
Team JKHL Room
Currently, the members of Team JKHL seem to be busy performing various tasks. Johnny was busy on his scroll playing videogames, Liu Kang was meditating in a Lotus Position, while Sub Zero was reading a book he borrowed from the school library. The only member unaccounted for was Scorpion who wasn't in the room.
Not a moment later, said Spectre walked into the room standing by the door. Closing the door behind him, Scorpion appears to be having a mental debate, an act that did not go unnoticed by his teammates.
"Yo Hanzo, you alright?" Johnny asked looking away from his phone
"I'm fine." Scorpion growled slightly
"You sure? Cos you look tense and knowing you, that never happens." Johnny said
"Cage is right. You're the last person among us I'd expect to be tense." Liu Kang said not opening his eyes
"Then you're all sorely mistaking." Scorpion scoffed
"Hanzo." Sub Zero closed his book, indicating they did not buy Scorpion's act
After a moment of silence and mentally debating his options, Scorpion signed before speaking.
"I need your help." Scorpion finally said causing his teammates to raise a brow
"You need our help?" Johnny asked not sure if he heard right which caused Scorpion to groan
"Yes, I need your help. I honestly don't enjoy repeating myself Cage." Scorpion said
"Chill bro, just wanted to be sure I heard right." Johnny said defensively
"Still, what do you need our help for?" Liu Kang asked
"It's Weiss." Scorpion said
"Ice Queen?" Johnny asked
"Cage!" Liu Kang scolded before facing Scorpion. "What do you need our help for with her?"
"During the Dance, we made a bet and since I lost, I am to take her out for dinner today." Scorpion said
"So basically you're taking her on a date?" Johnny said as a massive smile appeared on his face, something Scorpion noticed
"Why do I have this unnerving feeling that I've made a huge mistake?" Scorpion thought
"Hanzo my man, you have nothing to worry about. With the Cage master helping you, nothing can go wrong." Johnny said placing his hand on Scorpion's shoulder
"Everything goes wrong with you Cage, regardless we will be giving you a helping hand." Sub Zero said to Scorpion
"First things first, we need to find you something to wear." Johnny said
Team RWBY Room
Weiss is seen going through various of her clothes while humming in the process. This particular act caught the attention of her teammates.
"Weiss,...are you alright?" Ruby asked
"Yes, why do ask?" Weiss asked
"You're humming." Ruby said
"You never hum." Blake pointed out
"Okay, what's going on?" Yang asked sitting up
"Nothing…what makes you think something happened…" Weiss said but stopped after noticing the look on her teams face
Signing she then spoke. "I'm going on a date."
"What!" Ruby exclaimed
"So Neptune finally asked you out eh?" Yang said with a smile
"It's not Neptune." Weiss said rubbing her elbow
"Oh. Then who?" Blake asked genuinely curious now
"Hanzo." She said causing the room to go silent until…
"What!?" Her teammates yelled in unison
"Calm down." Weiss said
"How the hell did you pull that off?" Yang asked shocked
"He lost a bet with me, that's why he's taking me out for dinner. It's nothing too serious." Weiss said
"Never would have thought I'd see you and him together." Blake said
"Hey, I could say the same about you and Kuai Liang." Weiss said causing Blake to look away
"It's not like that…yet." Blake whispered the last part
"Anyway if you don't mind, I have to pick something to wear." Weiss said
"Oh, oh, let's help." Ruby said jumping up
"No!"
"Oh come on, it will be easier if we help out, seeing as you haven't picked a dresss yet." Yang said
"Fine, but be careful with my stuff." Weiss said
Team JKHL Room
"I look ridiculous." Scorpion said as he observed himself from the mirror. Johnny had gotten him to wear a suit and bow tie.
"Come on dude, you look great. Now we just have to tie your hair into a ponytail." Johnny said
"My hair stays the way it is." Scorpion said
"I don't know Hanzo, I've heard girls like it." Liu Kang said causing Scorpion to look skeptically at his leader
"How pray tell did you come to that conclusion?" Scorpion asked
"The internet." Liu Kang said casually
"Now then, allow me to help with your hair." Sub Zero said with a small smile
"Who's side are you on?" Scorpion asked
"No one is picking sides Hanzo, we're just trying to let you experience a normal school life." Sub Zero said working on Scorpion's hair
"So where do you plan to take her?" Johnny said grabbing Scorpion's scroll
"I don't know. Netherrealms probably. It's that time of the season for the Festival of Torture." Scorpion deadpanned
"Funny." Sub Zero sarcastically replied
"Oh, take her to Madam Bo's Tea Shop. She just moved into the city a while ago." Liu Kang said
"Okay, 'Meet me at Madam Bo's Tea Shop by 4:00' sent." Johnny said tossing back the scroll
Standing up Scorpion was about teleporting to the shop before Johnny placed his hand on his shoulder
"Now listen Raspberry, the Ice Queen is a tough nut to crack, so you gotta try as much as possible not to screw up. Or I'll have to avenge you." Johnny said causing Scorpion's eye to twitch
"Righhtt." Scorpion said
"We also need to do something about your eye being white. I think I got some contact lenses here." Johnny said about to search for them
"No." Scorpion said teleporting away
With the resident Spectre gone, Johnny turned to his teammates with an evil grin
"You're planning on tailing them aren't you?" Sub Zero asked already knowing the answer
"Not just me, the entire gang." Johnny said bringing up his scroll
Front of Madam Bo's Tea Shop 4:05pm
Using his scroll to check the time once again, Scorpion is wondering what is taking Weiss so long.
"I shouldn't really be complaining considering I can teleport." Scorpion thought
"Hanzo!" Weiss called out as she approached Scorpion
"A little too much for a simple dinner don't you think?" Scorpion asked with a raised brow at Weiss choice of attire. She wore a long Blue and white gown that looked like something a Queen would wear, while her hair was loose, letting it flow down to her back.
"The dress was my teams idea." Weiss said slightly embarrassed. "Besides, I could say the same about you."
"It was Cage's idea." Scorpion said
"I'm going to regret saying this but, he has good taste. You like handsome in them." Weiss said
"You too." Scorpion said
"I also look handsome or-" Weiss said trailing off
"Don't push your luck Ice Queen." Scorpion said
"Hey, that's not how a Gentleman should treat a Lady." Weiss pouted. Seeing her face Scorpion laughed slightly
"Fine, you look Beautiful. Happy?" Scorpion said causing her to blush
"Maybe, but let's eat first before I can fully decided." Weiss said dragging Scorpion into the Tea House.
A Few Moments Later
Scorpion and Weiss were quite shocked on how good Madam Bo's cooking was.
Both teens were currently enjoying their meal.
"This is amazing." Weiss said as noticed Scorpion had a frown on his face. "Is everything okay?"
"One moment." Scorpion said as he sent a small fireball towards the roof. Not a moment later a small spider drone fell into his hand
"What's that?" Weiss asked
"Something our friends are using to spy on us." Scorpion said
"What?" Weiss asked slightly annoyed
"They're actually in the next book shop." Scorpion gestured towards the window. As Weiss followed his gaze, she noticed the curtain of the Book Shop quickly shut itself
"Is my team there as well?" Weiss asked
"Both our teams alongside Team TSKK and JNPR." Scorpion said
"What? How long have you known?" Weiss asked
"Not too long I'm afraid. I sensed Johnny's presence and not a moment later saw this drone." Scorpion said
"I'm going to have a word with them." Weiss tried to stand up but Scorpion stopped her
"There's no need. Tell me, is there any place you've always had the intention of visiting?" Scorpion asked
"Like in Vale?" Weiss asked
"Anywhere at all, even your home." Scorpion said
Book Shop
It hasn't been a while long since Sonya's laptop began showing nothing but statics
"He just destroyed my drone." Sonya said
"Seriously?" Johnny asked shocked
"I told you this was a bad idea." Sub Zero muttered from the corner
"Oh, Weiss is going to kill me." Ruby started panicking
"Calm down Ruby, they don't know we're here." Kitana tried calming her down
"They know we're here!" Jaune yelled as he closed the window curtain he and Nora were using to spy on the Duo
"Oh no, what do we do now?" Ruby panicked
"Guys, they just teleported away." Kung Lao said causing everyone to look outside, but true to the monks word, Scorpion and Weiss were nowhere to be seen
"Where did they go?" Liu Kang asked
Mountain Top Atlas
Teleporting to the largest mountain in Atlas, Scorpion and Weiss are greeted with the site of the city of Atlas. The sudden change in temperature and lack of winter clothing causing Weiss to lean onto Scorpion, the Spectre being unbothered by the sudden closeness and temperature change merely created a ring of fire to keep Weiss warm.
"How did you do this?" Weiss asked shocked that she had just been teleported from Vale to Atlas in an instant
"I am capable of teleporting to any location I wish to go." Scorpion simply said
"That's amazing. Also this view of the city is amazing. I've not been able to come here since my father considered it too dangerous." Weiss said taking in the view
"The view is amazing." Scorpion said
"I believe this is the part you tell me I'm more amazing than the view." Weiss Joked causing Scorpion to roll his eyes
"If that is what you want…You are more amazing than this view." Scorpion said facing her causing Weiss to blush like crazy
"Hey, I was joking you know! How can you say that with a straight face!" Weiss said before burying her face into his chest
"Regardless thanks." Weiss said after calming down
"Don't mention it. I think it's high time we left." Scorpion said
"Hold on, before we leave-" Weiss then leaned in, kissing Scorpion on his cheek. This caused the boy to blush slightly but he was able to compose himself quickly. "Okay let's go." She said while smiling.
