Early morning in mount Sagiri, Tanjiro is getting himself ready with his casual outfit on, his family sword with him. Sakonji walks to him "here you go Tanjiro." as he gives tanjiro a mask of a fox with a sun like pattern on the left side of it's forehead, "a mask?"

"it's a Protection mask, it will help you." replied Sakonji as tanjiro takes it, "thanks."

"Oni-chan, please come back alive." says Nezuko as she hugs Tanjiro while he replies "i will."

"now go tanjiro, save journeys." says Sakonji

"yes." Replied Tanjiro as he then runs off "guess im off, see you later."

Nezuko and Sakonji waves while nezuko is tearing up. "take some time to keep training, till you slice the boulder."

"i will." says Nezuko while she couldn't hold her tears in.

Later on, Tanjiro has arrived at a mountain surrounded by Westeria, as he entered in the candidate section of others with swords with them. Tanjiro looks around and to see a total of 40 candidates, Tanjiro seems nervous but ends up keeping his nerves in check, having his trusty sword with him and his keen nose. Until a women with white hair appears and says "good evening Candidates, Welcome to the Selection exam in becoming Denon Slayers, As you should know, there are demons locked in the mountains and they cannot escape due to westeria flowers surrounding them, which demons fears the most. So as soon as you enter in, you will have face demons and survive for 7 days. If you survive, you passed by then, I wish you good luck"

Tanjiro takes a deep breath as he takes a step in, Later on, Tanjiro is in the mountain and running 'only seven days, so i have to stay sharp, this will be different then father's training, so i have to stay focused, and keep my heart on fire while I'm at it. All i have to do is head towards wear the sun would rise.' Tanjiro constantly running until he stopped after smelling something sinister, he takes his sword out as he looks around only for a load of demons surrounding him and rushing to him.

Tanjiro slashing and slicing demons off till they all disintegrate within moments, 'i did it, i'm making progress' thought tanjiro in a proud look. Until a voice of a man says "Tanjiro."

Tanjiro opened his eyes in as he thought 'Father?'

"stay focused, you have a long way to go" Says Tanjiro's father as Tanjiro thought to himself 'yes, understood.' He then rushed off and kept on going, until Tanjiro saw 5 more of demons charging to him as Tanjiro rushed to them

Hinokami Kagura: Raging Sun

Tanjiro rushed to them as he sliced the demons heads down. Tanjiro keeps on running as more demons appear, tanjiro defeats them without issue and keeps going. 'this is much more challenging than i thought, father please, stay with me.'

7 days have passed and Tanjiro as entered the area filled with westeria and he just realised that he survived and there are only 22 survivors. One of them seems to be looking at the sky, who has light blue eyes with no shine, long hair with light blue tips and he seems to be lost in thought "the clouds are kissing each other, wait where am i?"

"Welcome back, you have survived, therefore you have passed. Congratulations." says the women from earlier who she then bowed "Since you are officially demon slayer, there are things for you to understand, first off is ranks, as I'll introduce them from high to low: Kinoe, Kinoto, Hinoe, Hinoto, Tsuchinoe, Tsuchinoto, Kanoe, Kanoto, Mizunoe, mizunoto. And for now you are on Rank Mizunoto, the lowest of the rank...and second of all." the women claps twice which alerted 22 crows flying to each slayer, "these are Kasugai Crows, they are used as a source of communication, treat them well for they are more then just a simple guide, third of most, you'll be recieving uniforms soon enough and lastly you'll be able pick an ore for your swords to be forged, which takes 15 days for it to be completed" she removes a sheet from the table. "pick an ore since they have a difference then you'd assume." says the woman as every slayer picks an ore for themselves. Tanjiro however never took any ore since he has his own sword and begins witnesssing it.

As hours have passed by and Tanjiro is walking his way back home until he saw Sakonji's house and saw Nezuko exiting it, she ended up sensing her presence and exited immediately and yelled "Oni-chan? is that you?"

"Nezuko!"

"oni-chan!!" Nezuko runs to tanjiro as they both Hug each other while nezuko starts crying "Your back! I thought you won't make it!"

"shhhh, it's okay Nezuko, I'm here and i passed." says tanjiro as he cries while smiling. While Sakonji arrives into the scene and hugs them "welcome back."

Meanwhile in a mansion, where a man with long hair, half purple skin across his face, petting a crow with a Purple scarf "Is it so? 22 survivors, and at the same time, and based of what you witnessed in the mountains, we have A child of Fire God, and he already has a sword of his own, he must be the one Giyu mentioned...Keep your eye on the Child of Fire god for me, bring him here once he has complete his first few mission."
