CHAPTER FORTY-TWO: EXTREME LIGHTNING!

Royal guards continued rushing towards Natsu's group as Natsu, Akame, and Loke were busy taking them out. "Fire Dragon's Wing Attack!" Natsu shouted, attacking the guards with streams of fire.
"Blood Dragon's Gale Force!" Akame called out, striking more guards with red mist.
"Regulus Impact!" Loke yelled, attacking some more.
"Sky Dragon's Roar!" Wendy attacks the guards around her with her breath attack.
Zack locks his hands together in a tight fist. "Azure Dragon's Shockwaves!" He shouted, swinging his fist down onto some unsuspecting guards, smashing them to the ground and creating a destructive shockwave.
"Where are our reinforcements?!"
"On their way from sectors 7 and 8!"
"We've got strength in numbers!"
"Stop them!"
"Yeah!"
"For Princess Hisui!"
"Show her what you're made of!"
"Yeah!"
Dusk and his future counterpart stood back to back. "How many of them are there?!" He asked.
"We shouldn't have come this way!" Future Dusk responded.
"It'll be okay, right? After all, we have magic..." Carla stated.
Happy was still on high alert. "Carla, it's dangerous here, so get back!"
"You too!" Lily spoke as he was in his Battle Form.
Suddenly, acid appeared blow Lily and Jim. "Lily, this magic..." Jim muttered.
"Look out!" Lily warned, grabbing Happy and Carla while Jim grabbed Bruno and Chii.
Knepper soon appeared. "You're not getting by me!"
"Him!" Bruno exclaimed.
"From the Garou Knights!" Chii recalled.
"You again?!" Jim questioned.
Knepper laughed. "We still have our mission!"
Wendy soon gets attacked by plants. "Hi! Do you remember my name?" Cosmos asked.
Purple paper surrounded Dusk and his future self. "This is..." Dusk started to say.
"Come on! At a time like this?!" Future Dusk complained.
"Would you please not belittle the kingdom's strongest executioners?" Kamika said.
"I know, Kamika." Cosmos agreed.
"That scary person isn't here." Kamika thinks to herself, referring to Mira.
Some guards were carrying Uosuke. "Heave-ho! Heave-ho! Heave-ho!"
"Guild wizards."
Both Natsu and Akame turned around. "Huh?"
"I have a good idea of your principles. But now my principle is going to hold sway." Kama appeared without his mask. "No criminal is allowed to exit the palace alive."
"Man, you really don't know when to stay down, do you?" Akame asked.
"Jeez, you guys are pesty." Natsu added.
"Hurry! Hurry!"
"The Garou Knights headed that way, too!"
"That's encouraging! But we'd better hurry, too!"
Arcadios was putting on some armor as the doors opened. His armor clanged, getting the guards on duty's attention.
"C-Colonel Arcadios! What are you doing here?!"
"Y-You were imprisoned for treason against the kingdom!"
"Where is the princess?" Arcadios asked, ignoring their questions.
"U-Um..."
"Where is she?" Arcadios asked once more.
"O-On the top floor!"
Arcadios continued on his way as the guards took notice of the armor he was wearing.
"Hey, that armor..."
"Yeah, that's..."
"...The White Lily Armor!"
"Battle armor!"
Arcadios recalls his talk with Hisui again, along with Future Dusk's words. "There's something I have to confirm." Arcadios thinks to himself, recalling Future Dusk sobbing and Akame comforting him. "Those weren't the tears of a liar. The one who's lying... is the princess."
Domus Flau...
Ezekiel and Minerva were staring at each other. "Wench!" Ezekiel insulted.
"You're next, Ezekiel. But with those injuries, I can see how this is going to end." Minerva claimed.
Minerva soon activated her Magic, grabbing Ezekiel by the ankles and throwing him through the pillars. "Ezekiel!" Atugia exclaimed in worry.
"That's not like him, dammit!" Ajar shouted.
"He must be more worn out than we thought." Riku commented.
Ezekiel collapsed to the ground while Erza glanced at him in worry. "Oh, my! Ezekiel Scarlet, known as one of Twilight Phoenix's strongest wizards, is in a pinch! And Minerva's fierce attacks are unrelenting!" Chapati announced.
"How clumsy you are, fallen phoenix. Is it about time to end this?" Minerva questioned, activating her Magic once more. "I think I'll publicly execute you, Ezekiel."
"Stand up! Stand up, Ezekiel!" Harumi encouraged.
"Well, this final battle has really cranked up the excitement, but..." Chapati paused as multiple explosions went off, revealing Lyon and Julian. "Uh-oh! Over here, we have another Ice-based showdown!"
"For a Dragon Slayer, you're not half-bad." Lyon spoke as his placed his fists together.
"I'm flattered, truly. But I'm nothing in comparison to Akame-san and Zack-san. I'd say my power is equal to Dusk-san's." Julian claimed.
Lyon shot icicles towards Julian who easily dodged it. "Frost Dragon's Roar!" He shouted, letting out a mixure of blue ice and white snowdust towards Lyon.
"Sky God's Dance!" Sherria intercepted the attack before it hit Lyon.
"Nice, Sherria!" Lyon praised.
"Don't just stand there, Lyon!" Sherria scolded.
Lyon placed his fists together again. "Ice-Make: Water Serpent!" He called out as the water serpent attacked Julian.
"Julian!" Loji called out in concern.
"Lyon, attack Loji, too!" Sherria said.
"I'll let you handle him!" Lyon told her.
"You're definitely a lot stronger than Gray-san, I'll give that much to you." Julian complimented. "But I'm not seein' any teamwork. And I can use that to my advantage!"
"Topography effect! Hot wind zone!" Uosuke called out as a gust of hot wind blew through Natsu and Akame.
"You're hittin' me with a heat attack? Now I'm really fired up!" Natsu claimed.
Natsu fired his breath attack at Uosuke. "Topography effect! Iceberg zone!"
The flames soon disappeared. "Pain in the ass..." Natsu mumbled.
Akame sighed. "Yeah, I saw that move coming from a mile away."
Wendy easily dodged the acid coming her way. "Come on, come on! I'll melt you, too!" Knepper said.
Wendy landed on the ground. "You're a Dragon Slayer, right?" Knepper asked.
"That's right. What about it?" Wendy questioned.
Acid soon flew up into the air. "Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!" Wendy called out, blowing the acid away.
"I think you'll be worth melting down!" Knepper stated.
Lucy stood in front of Dusk. "Dusk, stand back." She warned.
"Huh? I'm not completely helpless, you know!" Dusk told her.
"I didn't say you were. But your Dragon Slayer Magic is star-based, correct? I saw how you struggled back at the Hell Palace. We're indoors, so your magic isn't that great at the moment." Lucy pointed out.
Dusk realized she was right and there was no use arguing. "Kick her ass." He said, making Lucy smile.
Kamika pulled out a piece of red paper. "Confetti! Red Dance!" She shouted as the paper turned into flames.
Lucy took out a gate key. "Open! Gate of the Scorpion! Scorpio!" She called out.
"Leave it to me, yay!" Scorpio said as he countered the flames.
"Yellow paper is the god of lightning!" Kamika claimed as lightning appeared.
"Sand Wall!" Scorpio called out, blocking the lightning attack.
"So this is Celestial Spirit Magic, huh? Now this will be worth attacking!" Kamika stated.
Loke was hitting on Cosmos. "You're Cosmos-chan, is that right? I'm not interested in fighting cute girls, so let's be friends..." He suggested before getting slammed by a plant.
"I hate flirty men! I think you desecrate beauty, so get lost!" Cosmos insulted.
"It's all of a sudden, so you're nervous and bashful, but that's cute, too!"
"Wrong!"
Yellow light appeared from Loke's hands. "Then how about this? A present from me." He claimed.
"Then these are from me. Spore Bombs!" Cosmos called out as the royal guards watched in amazement.
"Wow!"
"They're executioners!"
"All right, let's help them out!"
"You're not helpin' nothing!" Lily shouted.
"Stay outta the way!" Jim added.
Both Lily and Jim attacked the guards. Kama soon flew into the air, striking at Lily and Jim. "Criminal cat, I heard you were a soldier once." Kama addressed Lily. "Why did you renounce your country and enter a wizard guild?"
The three of them soon flew back. "I could explain, but you wouldn't understand." Lily responded.
"I'll take a guess. Perhaps it wasn't a country in which loyalty was important." Kama said.
"Shut your mouth, executioner! No one insults Edolas in front of me!" Lily stated.
"Come, then!"
Future Dusk was suddenly on high alert. "Is something wrong-tai? Are you tai-tired?" Uosuke taunted.
"Whether tired or not, that don't matter." Natsu lit up his fists.
"No matter how many of you come after us, that don't matter. We're gonna break through here. That's all." Akame continued, his right fist being covered in red mist before he smirked. "That's just the way our guilds work."
Mira was shown running through the palace and looking around.
"E-Everyone! Look at this!" Chapati announced as the Lacrima Vision showed Laxus, Jura, Orga, and Nero in a four-way battle.
"Here it comes! Jura of the Ten Wizard Saints-kabo!" Mato cheered.
"Shall I join the contest, as well?" Jura spoke. "My blood hasn't burned like this for a long time."
"So you came out, monster." Laxus said while Nero just stared at him.
Obaba chuckles to herself. "Here's where it gets real! The moment I decided to have Jura participate in this, Lamia Scale's victory was assured! Laxus, Orga, and Nero might as well be babies!" She said.
"In other words, they're just plain unlucky!" Sherry added.
"He's too strong!" Toby exclaimed.
"Don't get mad about it." Sherry told him sheepishly.
"After you lost so easily! You wanna spin?" Obaba began spinning Toby.
"W-Wait! Wait!"
Orga, Jura, Laxus, and Nero all had a stare off with one another. "What is this intensity?" Laxus asked himself.
"It's okay! You can do it! We're here, Laxus!" Freed encouraged.
"The Raijinshuu are with you!" Bickslow added.
"Laxus is nervous?!" Evergreen exclaimed.
"Jura-san, I wanna see you when you're serious." Black lightning soon appeared in Orga's hands. "Do you have the guts to take this?"
"Oh?"
"I'm the Lightning God Slayer." Orga informed. "God Slayer Magic or the title of Ten Wizard Saints? Which is more powerful? I'm sure everyone wants to know that. Well, Ten Wizard Saint? Can you block my magic? Or is Ten Wizard Saint just your calling card?"
Jura closed his eyes calmly. "Go ahead."
Orga smirked as Laxus watches as Nero glanced up. "I'd watch your back if I were you." Nero spoke, confusing Jura, Orga, and Laxus.
Out of nowhere, Atlas comes down from the sky and slams his fist into Orga's back, shocking Laxus and Jura while Nero didn't even flinch. When the smoke cleared, it was revealed that Orga was knocked out.
"Your aim might've been for Jura-san. However, I get the point." Atlas claimed.
"That's my Atlas." Harumi grinned while Fairy Tail was in shock.
"Atlas and Nero... Laxus and Jura are screwed." Atugia mumbled as she smirked.
"I-It's Atlas! He took out Orga with a single strike!" Chapati announced as Twilight Phoenix's point count went up.
Atlas stood up, facing Nero, Jura, and Laxus. "Nice of you to finally join. I assume Gajeel is taken care of?" Nero asked.
"You're correct." Atlas replied, the news taking Laxus back by surprise.
Jura stepped forward. "I've wanted to fight you for the longest time, Atlas Wardnorth." Jura claimed.
"Is that so? I'll give you a battle worth remembering then." Atlas said, glancing at Nero. "Nero, can you handle Laxus?"
"Of course. I did plan this, after all." Nero responded.
Atlas grinned. "Then let's win this whole damn thing."
"You took the words right out of my mouth."
Both Atlas and Nero charged at their opponents.
