*AN* I think this story is much better than my last one. I had a friend read over it, and this friend loves to read, so here it is.*

Chapter 1

It was finally the end to along day and Peacemaker was ready for bed. Peacemaker closed his eyes and was off to dream land. He opened his eyes to see a mischievous looking hybrid with a scary gleam in his eyes. With the hybrid looking almost completely like a nightwing with a row of icewing coloured scales on each of his wings. The look of pure determination made his heart stop. He let out a blood curling scream and woke up in a pool of sweat. The next thing Peacemaker knew his mother was at his side comforting him. He had been asleep, yet it had felt so real. He went back to sleep and this time he had no dreams or nightmares as he would have called it.

The next morning, he woke up to the sound of his mother making breakfast. He ran downstairs to the wonderful smell of his favorite food: strawberries and chicken sausage. As he ate he told his mother about his dream and as soon as he gave her the description of the dragon she went white but when he asked what was wrong she just said everything was fine. After breakfast peacemaker had to go tend to his strawberry patch. As he went on watering and pulling weeds, he kept seeing the strange dragon from his dream so he decided to go home. On the way he saw his friend moon and decided to ask her about the dragon he saw in his dream. As he approached, they smiled at each other and waved when he explained to her his dream just as his mother had she turned pale and just brush it up when he asked. Now he was sure that his dream meant something. But what?

He decided to go home and do some investigating. By the time he got home it was late, so he grabbed a plate of leftovers and said goodnight to his mother and went to bed. He closed his eyes and thought about his dream once more. He was so tired, he just fell asleep right away. In a few minutes he saw a dragoness with emerald eyes and a teardrop scale by her eyes. This Nightwing dragoness looked exactly like moon. But why would he be dreaming about moon? He did not know but he did know that he was going to find out. In the morning he told his mother about his dream, and she just started acting weird and said that he might just like her but he knew that was not true.

He decided to see to go see his friend Starclimber. Starclimber is nightwing rainwing hybrid dragoness with the most beautiful sapphire eyes. If peacemaker liked anybody it would have been Starclimber but he would have denied it to anyone who asked. Starclimber did not have any Nightwing powers, but she did have a secret. Very few Dragons knew it not even her best friend peacemaker knew it. Starclimber had colour changing scales like a rainwing but her regular scales are a dark purple with starlike dots all over her wings. Peacemaker decided that if anyone was going to tell the truth it was Starclimer so he asked her and she sincerely did not know who the hybrid in his dream was. So he waved goodbye and left. He thought that may be the best way to learn more was to wait to have more dreams about it.

It was noon by the time he got home. He just grabbed a few strawberries and some mangoes for lunch and headed to his room to think. He decided that he was going to talk to Moon's friend winter he new a lot about nightwings and the dragon he saw was a hybrid. He knew that Winter was coming to stay in the rainforest to visit Moon tomorrow, so he decided to wait till then. Later that day he went to talk to his friend Queen Glory when he arrived, she had just finished speaking to Moon. He was able to speak with Queen Glory right away. Your Highness he said as he bowed, I have come to ask you about when Prince Winter will arrive. Queen glory responded by saying please Peacemakers stop bowing and calling me your highness you are my friend and you do not have to be so formal. Prince Winter is supposed to arrive tomorrow afternoon. Anything else? No, thank you for your time he replied and bowed as he left. Glory just rolled her eyes and continued her royal duties.

On peacemakers way home he saw his friend Deathsight. Deathsight was a Nightwing Hivewing hybrid. She was only two but was one of the best fighters in the whole rain Kingdom. If you were to look at her, you would think she was a Nightwing but once you get a good look at her you could see that she has the face structure teeth, wrists , and tail stigers of a hivewing. She has all the Nightwing powers such as foresights, visions, mind reading, and prophecies. Deathsight is a direct descendant of Clearsight so she has just as good of control of her foresight as Clearsight.

Deathsight was a rebellious child and was always in other kingdoms. One time she was in the sky Kingdom when some Skywing thieves were robbing a store. Deathsight intervened and ended up saving the store the thieves gave her a scar across her cheek which she killed them for. Deathsight was a tough dragoness with a soft heart that not many dragon saw. Peacemaker was one of the lucky Dragons that saw that side of her. As Peacemaker strolled towards her, they exchanged a short smile then went neutral. Once they were in earshot they exchanged greetings and got down to business. He explained what had happened over the past few days and she listened intently once he was finished she answered saying peacemaker you need to wait for fate to answer your questions. All of a sudden, her eyes went blank and in a blank voice recited:

a dragonborn of night and ice

Who if released will cost a price

Beware the dragon that tricks and schemes

For beneath his illusion he's not what he seems

Tricked by Jade fallen from high

The mighty dragon no longer rules the sky

The darkness of Dragons if released

With time will rule and raised deceased

After the end of her trance, she said cheerfully there's a fresh batch of mango trees growing in the grotto and cheerfully waved goodbye and left. Peacemaker waved goodbye as well and went home, he decided that if Winter had nothing to tell him he would stop asking dragons and figure it out himself. That night he went to bed wondering what the prophecy meant. He saw a tree that was a Cherry Tree. There was only one Cherry Tree in the rainforest. It was in the deepest part. Then everything went black. He woke up the next morning with a plan. First, he would tend to his strawberry patch then talk to Winter and finally take a few days trip to the Cherry Tree. So he grabbed some breakfast and was off to the strawberry patch. By noon he had finally finished gardening and decided to just eat a few strawberries for lunch.

After he decided to ask Moon if Winter had arrived yet. On his way he was lucky he saw Winter, so he smiled and waved as he walked over. After a friendly greeting peacemaker told him about the dragon he saw in his dream. As soon as he gave the description Winter got angry and stomped off. Peacemaker had the feeling winter didn't like this dragon very much. He went home packed his bags and was so tired he fell asleep. The dragon from his first dream was back but this time was saying come to me over and over. He woke up early the next morning wrote a note to his mother and left to go to the middle of the rainforest. After he got to the edge of the rainforest, he thought to himself. My journey begins now!
