A Little Hazbin 3: Rise of the Nephilim Ch. 02
"Breathe," a large eared demoness says to the grown Celest holding a stethoscope to her back.
The Not-so-Little Hazbin inhales and exhales several times.
"Breathing normal," she then removes the stethoscope and grabs Celest by the wrist while checking her own watch. "Pulse average."
Charlie and Vaggie worriedly watch from the side of their daughter's room, eagerly waiting for the results.
The acting Queen steps up with a pleading look. "Dr. Drums. What's wrong with her?"
"Nothing!" the doctor tells them while putting her stuff away. "She's a perfectly healthy adult woman."
"That's the thing!" Vaggie snaps. "Yesterday she was a little girl! And this morning she's…" then gestures to her daughter. "This!" causing the former child to flinch.
Dr. Drums shrugs. "I don't know what to tell you, Mrs. Morningstar. As far as I know, your daughter shouldn't exist," a spear is them pointed at her face.
The former Exorcist glares. "Wanna repeat that?"
"W-what I mean is that since Celest's birth there had been rumors and stories surrounding her. Neither you nor her majesty had any children and then one day the two of you were seen walking around with a look-a-like version of both of you. Then what happened during the Ice Age happened. Your daughter is a complete mystery. Condsidering that this is Hell. That's saying something," the doctor then heads for the door. "If it's any consolation? My friends and I are safe because of Celest. I hope that whatever is going on, it will turn out for the better."
"Thanks, Doctor," Charlie smiles at the physician while she and Vaggie escort her out.
Vaggie lets out a sigh. "Dios Mío!"
"Vaggie," Charlie takes her wife's hands in her own. "Everything will be fine."
"Charlie! How can you say that? Just look at…" the Fallen Angel gestures to Celest who is currently testing the added weight to her chest. "Celest?"
"Wha…" the full grown Celest hides her hands behind her back and looks up at her parents to see them staring.
"What are you doing?"
The Not-so-Little Hazbin becomes flustered. "Nothing," and refuses to make eye contact with either mother.
Charlie turns to Vaggie. "Should, should we give her the talk?"
Her wife blinks. "What?"
"You know? The talk. I mean, I know it be weird given she appears to be an adult, but she might need to know these things now."
"Yeah, but how much of her is still a little girl? And would any of it count if she skipped that phase?"
Celest watches as her mothers have their usual conversation where they pretend that she's not present. Or their grown-up talk. "What are you talking about?"
Both parents turn to her and replied, "Nothing Sweetie/Honey!"
"You guys know I hate it when you do this," she stands up. "You heard the doctor. I'm a grown—" she takes a step forward but manages to hit her head on the chandelier once again. "Ow!" and steps back only for her foot to land on one of her toys causing her to slip and fall on her butt. "Ow!" soon she starts tearing up. "Why do I have to be such a freak!?"
"Oh, Honey," Vaggie kneels next to her daughter as her wife does the same. "You're not a freak. You're just a little… different. Unique!"
Charlie smiles at her wife. "Your Mama's right, Sweetie," and turns to her daughter. "We've been through a lot. The three of us."
"And whatever is going on, we'll get through this together," the former Exorcist wraps an arm around Celest while the other reaches for Charlie's hand who accepts it. "As a family."
"And no matter what may come of this, you'll always be our precious little girl," the acting Queen kisses her daughter on the cheek.
Vaggie also kisses the Not-so-Little Hazbin on the other cheek as something amusing comes to mind. "You do realize our precious little girl is taller than you?"
"I am/She is?" the mother and daughter duo ask in unison, and both go to stand.
"Mind your head!" the Fallen Angel warns as she reaches for the chandelier to move out of the way, preventing another incident.
Charlie and Celest stand face to face and the daughter places her hand on top of her head and slowly moves it over her mother's. "I am! I'm almost as tall as Grandma," and gently brings it down onto Charlie's. The now grown child's eyes then widen as something dawns on her. "Does this mean I can go on the big rides now!?"
Charlie could not help but giggle and even Vaggie cracked a smile.
Vaggie says. "We'll think about it."
"Oh, please!" Celest claps her hands together and slightly lowers herself as her eyes seemingly gotten bigger.
Both moms eye one another, silently agreeing that despite appearances this is still the same Celest.
"Okay, okay!" Vaggie relents with a chuckle. "We'll take you on one ride. But we have to prioritize whatever happened to you."
"Yes!" the now grown child jumps up. "One more thing!"
"Celest! Don't push it."
"I won't but…" Celest tugs on her shirt that's several sizes too small. "Can I get some new clothes? It's getting hard to breathe."
Charlie and Vaggie look down at their full-grown daughter who is still wearing children's pajamas and realize that she can't possibly be comfortable in those.
