WHOO! Here we Gents and Ladies, the final chapter to the first half of this book, after this I'll be hiatus for HIF and work on other stories but let me just this chapter was a DOOZY! My fingers are still burning from writing all this. Had to rewrite this a couple times, but I'll get to that at the bottom. Onto the reviews.

Epantoja521: Thank you, I really enjoy writing everyone in this story. Enjoy!

Axel363402: Thanks, and I hope you like it! Enjoy!

XxGargantuaxX: She most likely is lol. Enjoy!

Belial the Dark Angel: Aw, thanks man I'm glad you like it. I really enjoyed writing everyone, specifically Adam and Charlie cause I felt like their interactions would be fun if the show actually had more layers to the characters but I digress. Enjoy!

Thenewprime721: Thanks! Honestly that is a general idea for Hell is Metal, been working on that while working on HIF. Enjoy!

Gwb620: Hell yeah! Love the game! Enjoy!

Fenrir44: Damn right, fuck around and find lol. Well Molly isn't in the harem for this story, but I'll get to her next chapter but we won't address that until then. Hmm, I can see the twins, definitely Octavia and Loona...for obv reasons. Alright, alright, no Angel Dust I'll concede. It's happening in HIM so no one complain lol. Enjoy!

The Black Knight Zero: She gonna fucking around and she gonna be finding out here and now lol. Yes, yes those drawing were quite fun, the second with Adam in Hell. I won't answer now, but the answer will come in THIS book, it's arguably one of the last flashbacks before the finale. The drawing was because Charlie wanted to draw their favorite thing, and that reason he drew THAT will be answered soon. I hope you enjoy!

Guest (HIM): Thank you! Enjoy!

Draco Mercer: Lol, I have been thinking of a Hazbin Hotel OC short story, not with Adam but I can use Cain cause well Cainverse and it would fit this story. Probably wouldn't be a long story, focused mainly on the Cain, Charlie, and Vaggie. I digress, enjoy!

Zerecue: Oh don't worry, it was gonna but I won't for this story. In HIM it will and NO ONE WILL STOP ME! Enjoy!

Darkstel: Damn really glad you love this story love and the harem will be fun for this story, who is in and who isn't will ALSO be fun so it might surprise ya! Enjoy!

Yakuza2010: Hmm, I was thinking of a Jurassic Cainverse story but who knows. I just needed a break from TMD and just brainstorming new ideas for the series. Enjoy!

Guest: Demiurge is an interesting thing as I based it on the Demiurge concept of it being a malevolent force and not the Creator aspect as it is usually regarded as.

2000: Funny enough Vaggie storyline with the kid is not over, but that will be told in the second part of this story. Lol, thanks man. Enjoy!

Vivaldi98: That's an interesting question I'll leave that unanswered when I have an answer lol.

xxxGmanxxx: Hmm, that is interesting way. I'll wait and see. Funny enough can create Light Exorcist copies as he did in his song but NEVER did it again. Which was odd. From Adam's perspective BACK then all of the Angels were either masculine or feminine not female or male cause the concept of gender wasn't really explained. I digress, enjoy!

Guest (Exorcist): Who knows, most likely dead.

Wolfs1996: Thanks, enjoy!

LordNoobReview: Hey man I love long reviews cause it shows you love talking about it. I love what you've said about Adam, Lucifer and somewhat Lilith since I've left her ambiguous. In a way your right that Adam relationship isn't like Eve or Lilith, he DOES love Lute and the six Shield Maidens but it's more so lovers/friends with benefits then a full on commitment for obvious reasons. As the Author wrote in his Uncle Adam fanfic for Lute: She is whatever Adam needs her to be. What Adam has is something I got from a video game that I will not say, it will be explained later tho lol. Short answer, no Charlie doesn't know about the Rebellions but that is a whole can of worms we will discuss later. Well the flashback with Eve will be...ambiguous for now, you'll get a taste in this chapter. Enjoy!

IHAH: Thank you. Sry I'll explain why it took a while to update down below. Enjoy!

Guest: Thank you! Enjoy!

Guest (Demiurge 2): Well it's based on the Malevolent Deity Demiurge instead of the Creator aspect which I used doing RESEARCH cause that's what I do before working on a story. The second sentence sounds like Misanthrope attitude and I don't stand for that. Maidenless behavior here.

SaiyaSage: Alright smartass. Not sure what you mean for the Uncle Adam inspiration, I did get something but its in this chapter and its more of a mention. Glad you love it, hopefully this will tickle ya fancy LOL. Enjoy!

Adro-Sama: Thanks man, glad you like it. Enjoy!

I am so happy with the reception this story has gotten, I didn't expect it but I love it nonetheless. ONTO THE STORY!

Chapter Eight: Rage of Man Part Two

"I need to clear my head." Lute growled as she turned away from the Princess and made her way upstairs, looking back out of the corner of her eye to Adam. The First Man nodded his head as Lute made her way out of view. The question rang in her head, an absurd one, but she couldn't stop playing it over and over again. Can an angel be killed? The answer was obvious, of course they can. Angels were always more powerful than a demon, but they were not invincible, the closest being the High Sarim Michael himself. However, Lute has seen her share of an angel's death, and she will never forget the look in their eyes.

That was a lifetime ago, and one she will never let happen again, so long as she had something worth protecting. That thing was Adam: the Father of Mankind, the First Man, The First and only King of Eden, and the Lord Commander and Taxiarch of the Exorcists. Adam was the Light of her Day, he was the reason why she knew there was still some semblance of Hope in Creation outside of Heaven. Because if the First Man could fall from Eden, then climb his way back to Heaven, then there was hope for everyone. Yet, time and time again his descendants fuck their lives over and over and OVER again for self-indulgence. She didn't blame them completely, afterall, they didn't have the choice until that snake gave Eve the apple of the forbidden tree in Eden. In a way she also blamed Eve, but she could never tell Adam that, for she knew how he still thought of the Mother of Mankind.

All of the Exorcists follow Adam with adoration and complete loyalty, with Vaggie being practically the only outlier but she was a bitch from day one. But enough about the traitor who threw paradise for some measly nectar in this hellscape, she had a true sister to find. Sachi was a kind and silent sister, distant by blood relations, but when it came to battle they could always trust one another. She did find it strange she would go at it alone, but Lute figured it was some easy prey and it wasn't unheard of someone going off by themselves. Adam did it all the time, granted their leader was stronger than any most angels. Still it was clear whoever this demon or sinner that might have Sachi was going to pay dearly. Those that weren't in love with Adam, such as herself and her six sisters, were treated like daughters to the First Man of Eden.

Once she reached the roof she looked out to the edge of the hotel and down to the long road that led to the city below, eyes watching the Cannibal Overlord make his way to town. She despised that monster, compared to him the sinners in the hotel were saints. She could smell the sin and blood on his hands, he felt so inhuman she would believe he was a true hellborn. Lute will enjoy the day when she can plunge her sword into this Overlord's chest, no matter how powerful he was. Still he will now serve his uses in her search for this….Carmilla Carmine. Aside from what she explained to Adam months ago, she knows that Carmilla is one of the few Hellborn Overlords in Pride Ring, no doubt owning hundreds of souls.

Soul-Binding. The concept of owning a soul, she hated the very concept and she could sense it on every sinner she ever killed. It wouldn't surprise her if every sinner here was owned by some Overlord or another. It was a form of slavery on the metaphysical level, a concept alien to Heaven. No one owned anyone in Heaven, they're were servants like the Cherubs but that was out of extra hands than owning someone like Husk. Of course Heaven was everything Hell will never be: peaceful, loving, paradise, but most of all: Free from Sin. As he was far enough, Lute flew after him, keeping high to the sky but close enough so she didn't lose track. She flew past skyscrapers, nose cringing in disgust at the stench within the city. The city reminded her of the ones she would visit with Adam during his little outings in the Mortal Realm. It was another sign of human debauchery, and why Heaven will never see such a thing. There or here in Hell.

None of these Sinners deserve this damnation, as far as she was concerned they deserved oblivion via her blade. Maybe once upon a time she thought redemption could be true, but that ended the minute the Exterminations began, where she gladly followed her Lord into battle. What they did two thousand years ago could never be forgiven, for too long Heaven had been merciful, and had she been an Elder Angel she would erase Hell off the face of Creation. Yet, her eyes drifted back to the hotel, the supposed building of redemption for Sinners. The idea was made by the very King of Hell's own daughter to redeem the Sinners of Hell. Lute did not see such a concept coming into fruition, it had never happened before and why would it happen now? Did the naive Princess think that no one wanted to leave lest they face an Exterminator blade? Still, she could sense the genuine love Charlie had for trying to protect her people, it reminded her of Lady Emily.

Though it did always unnerve Lute how kind Charlie was, she was supposed to be the enemy, she was a Hellborn. Lute was an angel, a child of Heaven while Charlie was a child of Hell and her father and mother were the rulers of this infernal realm. It didn't help that her girlfriend was a traitorous bitch to Heaven and the only reason she was still alive was because of Adam's soft spot. The sinners of the hotel were unholy creatures who deserve damnation….so why did it hurt thinking of the memories she shared with them: Drinking with Husk, Pentious and his Eggz constantly hugging her, Charlie showing her drawings of the Exterminators, and even arm wrestling with that annoying bitch Vaggie. All these memories with people who were her enemy, who she was gonna kill in a few months, but why did the thought hurt her? They weren't friends….were they? Shaking her head, Lute got back on track as she followed Alastor, if the Overlord knew she was following he showed no sign of it.

There, out of the corner of her eye, she saw another shadow creeping behind Alastor. It seemed Alastor was unsurprised to see the being, the two making conversation while the Sinners around them ran away in fear or literally killed themselves at the sight. She recognized the description of said being: Tall, slender, dark as the shadows it came from, a seemingly arachnid motif it gave off, and a slender top hat. She recognized the creature as an Overlord, one her sisters had reported evading their capture during E-Day: Zestial. One of the more older and powerful Overlords that have evaded capture for untold centuries. Some of the sisters theorized he appeared after the death of JC, but thats all they had to go on. Lute watched from high above, quickly hiding so neither could see her as the two Overlords spoke. She gripped her sword tightly, wishing to just strike down the Overlords, sadly she had no idea if she could beat both let alone Alastor. She wasn't cocky, she knew her limits, even if her blade could kill them unprepared in a straight fight Overlords like these two were better left to Adam.

She followed after them as they began walking, sinners running in fear but she would not, she needed to know where this meeting of Overlords was. There was no way Alastor asked that question and didn't know something, but what? She followed them til they arrived at a strange building, flying towards the side watching them talk and laugh at some joke about sinners she could care less. Hearing a gasp beside her, Lute looked over in shock to see a small sinner staring across from her in shock, and before they could do anything Lute leaped over clamping her hand over their mouth. She was so tempted to just kill the sinner but…..it wasn't E-Day and they were not worth her blade.

"Be quiet. You never saw me, get out of here." Lute ordered, the sinner scurrying away when the angel took off back into the side of the building flapping her wings til she hugged the glass. She had never spared a Sinner before, not counting her frie-the sinners at the hotel. She could've just ended that one and no one would miss it….or would someone miss them? Did sinners have families down here? Friends? Lovers? Most likely, but why did she care? Shaking her head of such thoughts, she continued her climb, her gloves suctioning to the glass as she slowly climbed up the building, looking over to see the elevator Alastor and Zestial in has now stopped at the highest floor of the building. She slowly moved up and peeked up into the glass walls, watchingas Zestial and Alastor walked out but they were not alone. Alastor was telling the truth, several Overlords from the city were walking out of other elevators, one she recognized as the cannibal Rosie, the monstrous Zeezi, and….well the flaming skull one she can't remember but he was an Overlord so he was a big deal she supposed.

They mingled and spoke about their everyday ventures in the city, but Lute could care less about that, glaring at each and every one of them. If this was one of their hideouts, they can exploit this come the next E-Day. Adam will be thrilled to know this is where the Overlords, and who knows how many more will show up? She flew up to the roof of the skyscraper where they had a few skylights, checking each one before finding most of the Overlords seated in a meeting room, each one taking up a spot on the rectangular table with only two seats left open. She eyed each and every one of them and smelled nothing: no golden ichor and none of them spoke of a dead angel, which if anyone could kill an Exorcist it was an Overlord. Suddenly the doors opened and Lute twisted her head to see the one who no doubt called for the meeting.

Carmilla Carmine.

(HIF)

Carmilla typed away on her computer dealing with the latest shipment and canceling requests, especially from a certain Vee Overlord. Today was the annual meeting between Overlords after Extermination Day, this one taking longer than last time. Of course if she had to credit the angels in one thing is how much destruction they leave in their wake. Sometimes entire city blocks would be in ruin, and it's worse when it's her own factories. This year's extermination was brutal for not just the city but the Overlords, thousands upon thousands of Sinners killed and erased. There weren't many sinners she cared for but she needed them to keep in power and to maintain order between her allies and even those she considered allies.

They needed to work together to maintain the already delicate order in this chaotic city, since Pride was the only ring Sinners are forced to stay in and with every passing day more and more sinners arrive filling the already overfilled Ring of Sin. It also didn't help that Sinners were making the arrival of the two Exterminators a big trend now on Voxstagram, her daughters showing the tweets. It seems Vox is trying to make the Angels Hell's newest celebrities without the angels' knowledge and she can see how big that will burn a mile away. She was wary of these two, for if they ever discover what happened it will surely lead to her and she cannot risk her daughters safety. She was not an innocent woman, she was a demon Overlord after all who owns thousands of souls, but she will do anything to protect her children. She doesn't do this often but she silently prays they never learn of her involvement, but she can feel it in her gut. A storm is coming.

"Mom. They're here." Her daughter, Odette, spoke on the other side of the door to Carmilla's office. Carmilla took a deep breath, downed a bit of her Ozzie' Branded Tequila, and stood from her seat and made her way towards the door.

"Everyone here?"

"Yes, Mother." Odette stated.

"Except the Vees." Clara added standing beside her sister, Carmilla nodded her head while internally groaning. It was no surprise the Vees or even just one of them didn't show up to the annual meeting, but if she was being honest it was less of a headache without them here. Her metallic ballet slippers, made from the angelic steel that is used to slay sinners once a year. She makes the weapons, might as well make them for her own personal use. Hearing the commotion quiet down once she opened the door, Carmilla's slippers tapped against the floor, everyone watching her as she finally stood in front of them.

"Welcome Infernal Sovereign Overlords of Pride, I have invited you all here for the annual meeting, for this year's extermination was brutal." Carmilla growled, Odette handing her a clipboard.

"Zestial, so good to see you, my friend." Zestial has been one of Carmilla's oldest allies, the demonic Overlord summoning a cup of tea as he bowed his head.

"Enchanted as always, Carmilla." The Overlord sipped his tea as Carmilla turned to a surprising guest: Alastor. She knew he was in town for the last few months but was missing for the past seven years.

"Alastor."

"Yes, I know I've been absent for sometime, I'm sure you've all been wonder-!"

"Not really, but welcome back in anycase, I'm sure someone missed your radio show." Carmilla mused, ignoring Alastor's small glare.

"Now with everyone here, I think it is time we address the arrival of the ange-" Carmilla was cut short with the door kicked open, a new arrival making themselves well known. Carmine resisted to roll her eyes as the youngest of he Vees, Fashionista an Voxstagram Influencer Overlord Velvette walked in on the phone.

"Yeah I got it handled Vox, are you doubting me?" Velvette said, waving her purse in the air and for a second Alastor and the Overlord beside him perked up at a peculiar smell.

"Really? Me?! That's what I thought. Haha, yes I know, they're all a joke. Thank you V, get the popcorn ready for the show, see ya soon. Kisses." Velvette smooched the phone as she hung up, hopping into the seat at the opposite end. Carmilla's expression remained stoic as she stared at the third member of the Vees, and for some reason the room suddenly got a very strange aroma.

"Nice of you to join us, Velvette, will your colleagues be joining?" Carmilla asked. She could barely stand the Vees, but out of all of them Vox was the least insufferable if only because he was quick to anger.

"Uh, no. They have better shit to do than listen to an old windbag who thinks she's tough shit. I'm here to represent." Velvette said, taking selfies.

"Charming. As I was saying, we need to discuss the arrival of two angels who have made the Princess's hotel their home." Carmilla said, the filmscreen behind her activating to showcase the First Man and his second-in command standing beside the Princess, the three walking on the sidewalk with Charlie seemingly laughing.

"They arrived after the last extermination and it could not be a coincidence but that begs the question: Why are they here? What are they planning? Can we stop them? I suggest….we….yes, Velvette?" Carmilla said, looking down the table to Velvette waving her arm up like a student asking a question, and the shit-eating grin on her face made it all more annoying.

"On the subject of angels, I made quite the interesting discovery a few days after E-Day." Velvetter began, placing the large bag she had in hand onto the table, the Overlords making note of the golden liquid leaking out on the bottom.

"Found a few homeless cannibals eating her flesh, her armor and weapons stripped but one thing remained intact. I think she lost a few good pounds, wouldn't you agree, Carmilla?" Velvette laughed, reaching into the bag and tossing something into the air, the object bouncing across the table before stopping at the edge in front of Carmilla. The weapon dealing Overlord's eyes widened in horror as gasps and mutters whispered in the room, Alastor salivating at the sight.

An angel's head, only recognizable by the half broken mask that most of the Exterminators wore. Carmilla's body went stiff at the sight, before glaring over at Velvette whose grin got even bigger.

"She's not looking so good, but do you know what this means, bitches?" Velvette asked, standing on top of the table.

"If this angel can be killed, the game has changed. We can take the fight to Heaven itself, and fucking wipe them off the face of Creation." Velvette began, only for a loud sip to cut her off, everyone but Alastor looking at Zestial.

"If it be true thee and thy colleagues desire to war, with such meager proof. Thou art far more foolish than I be thought." Zestial mused, Velvette glaring at him.

"Are you fucking blind, Fossil? It's a fucking Exorcist head, the pigeons aren't invincible any longer." Velvette argued.

"We know not how this perished. Mayhaps t'was not by a demon's hand at all." Zestial said, Velvette gasping in mockery.

"Oh, maybe you're right, old man. Maybe she decided to kill herself for fun, or maybe-maybe it was one the Seven Sins who killed her and for some fucking reason didn't show it off to all of Hell cause thats make sense. Senile old fuck." Velvette grumbled, but her eyes landed on the demon who has been silent this whole time. Carmilla hadn't taken her eyes off the angel, its one soul eye staring at her, the blood still dripping from her neck making a puddle around her which Alastor gleefully took a cup full of.

"Mmm…..oh my." Alastor chuckled, gaining the Overlord's attention beside him.

"Something wrong, Alastor?"

"Oh nothing dear Rosie, could've sworn I saw a pigeon on the skylight. A big one." Alastor mused, everyone looking at him in confusion.

That's when the screaming started.

(HIF)

"...Sister."

"..."

"...Sister!"

"...Ugh, what is it?" An angel growled, the large eye turning to face the six others standing behind her. These angels did not share the appearance of the Archangels but were more so giant eyes with four black wings behind them, a silver ring of eyes spinning around them. The seven stood on top of a large stone wall that was surrounded by wild nature with beasts roaring in the distance, a bountiful garden that went on for miles around them.

Eden.

That was the name the Almighty gave this place, and it was here the Watchers: Children created from Uriel's feathers stood and watched the walls to keep the 'failures' as they were called out and the falling rocks from the sky. They were the Guardians of this garden and its supposed inhabitants, the creations of the Almighty for which he declared they are the rulers of this garden. The angel has never seen them up close, only from afar and she could never make them out. The Archangels and High Seraphim would often be at the garden during the daytime but leave during nightfall.

"Little one wanted to tell you something, she saw one of the Almighty's creations near the wall." One of her sisters said, gesturing to the smaller eye with her wing.

"Y-Yes, it was the one with the short hair, he seemed to be looking for the one with long hair, maybe…we can help hi-!"

"No. Lord Uriel has instructed us to remain on the wall overlooking the wilds and that is what we are doing." The golden eye one stated, glaring at the six before looking out into the wilds.

"B-But sister, aren't you curious about the two who live in this Garden?" One of her other sisters asked, her eye light green.

"No, it is not our place to question what is in the Garden nor to speak with them, should I get brother to remind you all?" The golden eye asked.

"...Then perhaps we shall go alone, you can fill in for us." Another one with a violet eye stated, giggling as she pulled her sisters away.

"Yes go ahead and do th-WAIT NO!" The eldest turned as the six eyes flew into the Garden, the oldest letting out a groan and quickly flew after them. They flew through the branches leaving a trail of stardust behind them, staring in awe at the animals around them before hiding behind a brush.

"Great, you had your fun, sisters. Now let's go back to our posts." The eldest growled, one with a pink iris eye turned to her.

"Sister, look." The golden eye rolled its eye before flying beside them and peeking through the bush, and what it saw stopped her. The strange creation the Almighty had made, the first one, the one she had never met and rarely saw was….breathtaking. His body was the same as the Archangels and yet he lacked their skin and wings or even a halo. Yet he was tall, very tall, matching Lord Michael in height if they stood side by side, his hair wild and uncombed like the angels yet she wanted to place a wing through them. What truly caught her attention…was his eyes: golden, like hers, and Gold marked a gifted being as decreed by the Almighty or a 'Winner' as he likes to call them.

He was beautiful, he wasn't an angel yet she could not take her eyes off him. He seemed so warm and welcoming, even her sisters seemed invested in his appearance as their feathers seemed to quiver at the sight of him. As they watched him, the being stood up and waved towards them, wait why did he do tha-

"Morning Lord Michael."

"Morning, Adam." The voice behind them made all seven go stiff, the Watchers looking behind them to see the Lord and First Born Son of Heaven standing behind them, waving back at the being named Adam.

"I believe Lilith called for you earlier, she is over by the waterfalls."

"Thank you!" Adam waved as he walked away, Michael's smile softened as he looked down at the seven Watchers, six of them hiding behind their eldest sister. The oldest one eye wide in awe but silent horror. She didn't think Michael would punish them, but they had failed their sacred duty in overlooking the Garden and even being in the garden should be considered taboo as it is only the Children of the Almighty or the High Seraphim herself to enter.

"L-Lord Michael, forgive us, it was my idea to enter the gar-!"

"Quite an interesting creature, isn't he, children?" Michael asked, eyes locked onto the fleeting form of Adam, the seven Watchers following his line of sight.

"He has no wings, or a halo, or even powers like us. Yet Father saw something when he created Adam, and only he knows the answer. Still, you can't take your eyes off of him once you see him, his eyes so full of wonder and passion, you're drawn by him. That being said," Michael's smile widened, leaning down and petting one of the Watchers.

"You should all return to your post, we speak none of this to Uriel. Understood?"

"Yes, Lord Michael." All seven said before flying off, but the Eldest stopped once she was high enough, watching the one known as Adam walked to the waterfalls.

Adam.

Adam.

…"Adam, Sir!"

"Hmm? Oh, hey Lutey." The First Man said as his Lieutenant walked into his office, hands behind her back. She stared at his mask as it read through the stacks of paperwork while Lily flew behind him filing said paperwork once he was done.

"Sir, new recruits are here." Lute stated, Adam humming before throwing the papers over his shoulder.

"Adam!"

"Fuck those papers, Lily, come on let's go see the new recruits." Adam stood from his chair and walked out with Lute behind him, Lily flying after them as they made their way to one of the many training grounds made just like the coliseums of olds times. Exorcist Angels trained with either beasts of the primal Earth or with each other, sparring and clashing blades. Adam and Lute arrived to see an Exorcist speaking with a small group of recruits.

"Vajjie! Trying to make new friends with the recruits?!" Adam happily laughed, landing beside Vajjie who grumbled under her breath.

"And clearly failing at it." Lute remarked, ignoring the other angels glare.

"Vajjie? Like…..vajjie as a….vagina?" One of the new recruits asked, a few others giggling behind her.

"That's right, I nicknamed her myself cause she's one of my favorite badasses. Now where are my manners? I sure all of you know me, Adam the Original Dick himself, but you can call me by my new nickname: Schlong Lord." Adam proclaimed proudly, some of the angels gasping in awe as he made the words in golden light.

"...Might wanna try a new one, Sir." Lute suggested as Vajjie rolled her eyes.

"Fuck you talking about? That shit awesome, now who might you all be?" Adam asked, stepping up and shaking the first one hand, the angel introducing themselves one by one, some even hugging Adam before he reached the last one.

"S-Sachi, Sir." The Angel said, smiling softly at Adam.

"Nice to meet ya, Sachi. Now everyone I'd like to introduce my second-in-command, Lute. AKA, Dangertits, aka Lutey, aka your boss when I'm not around. Lute, anything to say?" Adam asked, gesturing her forward. Lute stepped up with hands behind her back, a glare in her eyes as she looked over each and every sister.

"Here, we are sisters of war. Here, we fight together for the safety of Heaven and the glory of smiting Hell's infernal sinners. Most important of all, we look out for each other down there." Lute said, walking up and taking Sachi's hand in hers.

"As your eldest sister, along with Lord Adam and my shield maiden sisters, we will stand by your side and protect you if you need us. I will protect you with my life, understood Sachi?"

Sachi.

Sachi.

"...Sachi." Lute whispered, tears welling up in her eyes as the Overlords conversed. When that strange Overlord walked in on the phone, the first thing Lute smelled was blood: Angelic Ichor. Lute's eyes widened as the Overlord dropped a bag seemingly dripping with golden blood….but her heart stopped when she tossed the head out onto the table. It was Sachi, her head so disgracefully tossed like garbage. Lute's panted with horror, a feeling she hasn't felt since the First War between Heaven and Hell: Pain.

Followed by rage.

"RRRRAAAAHHHH!" Flying into the sky, Lute let out an unholy scream, tears sliding down her cheeks, her mask glitching out before she dived bomb towards the building. Glass shattered as Lute stabbed her blade into the table, her sudden appearance catching the Overlords but Alastor by surprise.

"Get the fuck away from her!" Lute roared, swinging her sword madly as the Overlords stood back but were prepared to fight. Lute didn't care, she crawled over and snatched Sachi's head, ripping her own helmet off staring at Sachi's. Lute's lower lip quivered as the golden blood stained her armor as tears dripped down her cheeks. She failed, she failed to protect one of her sisters, and she will find out who was responsible. Gritting her teeth, Lute turned around to face Velvette who now had her helmet in hand.

"Did. You. DO THIS?!" Lute growled, aiming her blade at the Overlord. Velvette didn't answer, instead she merely smirked and leaned to the side, her eyes on another. Lute followed her line of direction to Zestial, or moreso the one he stood in front of. Carmilla Carmine stood in front of her daughters protectively, but when her eyes met Lute: They both knew. Lute snarled as she twisted her blade, aiming it at the weapons dealer, eyes wide with fury.

"You." Lute growled, all eyes on Carmilla, who narrowed it at the Angel.

"You better kill me before I get to HIM." With that Lute flew into the skylight, taking the sky towards the hotel. She was not foolish, even in her rage state, she knew with all those powerful Overlords in the room she stood no chance: But he does. As she flew, a shadow past over her, before two hands reached for her wing.

"Forgiveth me, Angelic Creature." Lute roared in fury as her wing was snapped, the two crashing into a building. As the dust settled Lute growled at Zestial, the Overlord revealing himself with six arms connected by wing-like webs, eyes glaring down at her. Lute jumped over the demons venomous webbing as he spewed them from his mouth, cutting one with her blade and dashing across the room.

"I hope thou can understand, but you won't be returning to your master." Zestial growled, dashing towards Lute and latching onto her leg, swinging her across the room and through several walls. Lute pulled herself out of the rubble before Zestial appeared again and grabbed her by the neck.

"Fuck you!" Lute rasped, clinging onto Sachi's head while dropping her blade, reaching for her golden bracelet. Clicking the side the bracelet released a bright flash of light, blinding the Overlord forcing him to drop her. Lute pressed the bracelet again and fired out a sphere of light onto Zestial. The orb expanded into a large orb trapping Zestial.

"That won't kill you fucker, but it'll stop you long enough!" With that Lute hopped out of the hole Zestial made, ignoring the shocked gasps around her as she ran towards the hotel. Tears stained her cheeks as blood dripped down her side. Her broken wing dragged behind her but that did little to stop her, entering the mainyard of the gate. Her heartbeat thundering in her ears, gasping and panting in sorrow as she slammed against the door, forcing it open.

"Lute?"

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME?!"

"Lutey?"

"RRRAAAAAHHHH!"

As the light lit up the entire hotel, Charlie and the sinners covering their eyes, as if the Sun itself was in the building with them. Once the light died down the group peeked over the couch to see flames dancing over Adam's body, from the tips of his wings to the edge of his robes. It was like his body was a living Star, but Charlie could sense it: Rage.

"Lute. Where. Did you. Find her?" Adam growled, his voice static and bestial. They couldn't make out Lute's voice over Adam's growling, but they could hear her sniffling as Adam held her close. They watched as Adam stood up and held the angels head in his hand, before incasing her in a golden cube, reaching for his wing. Charlie's eyes widened as he ripped several feathers off and placed them in the cube, a bed wrapped around the angel before leaning back down.

"Lute, go back to Heaven, I'll handle thi-!"

"No! S-Sir, please, let me kill them. Those fuckers deserve to die! They all will pay!" Adam stared down at Lute, his hand on her cheek, the tears staining his finger tips. His hand traveled to her wing, Lute wincing as he gently tapped the broken bone.

"I know. I'll make sure of it. Lily." Lute's eyes widened but her eyes closed as she collapsed into Adam's lap, the Cherub standing behind her. With a snap of his fingers, a cloud appeared carrying Lute and the golden cube, his eyes to Lily. The Cherub remained silent but gently nodded as Adam snapped his fingers, summoning a portal allowing Lily to bring Lute through.

"A-Adam, whats going on? Was that really a dead ang-!" Her words were cut off as Adam turned around, a fierce glare in his eyes, his golden face glitching between crimson red and golden lights. The flames got bigger and wider, and with a guttural roar he blasted through the front wall obliterating it and taking off into the sky.

"Adam!" The First Man flew through the sky like a raging comet, eyes scanning the skyscrapers before it landed on the building Lute described, recognizing the skylight she crashed through. He burst through the glass melting it into slag as he slammed to the ground, using his wings to clear up the dust only to find himself in a nearly empty room, the only other occupant making tea.

"Ah! Adam, my angelic friend! Come for some tea? It's to die for~~~!" Alastor chuckled, mixing whatever was in his cup as Adam walked up to him, his face getting brighter.

"Where the fuck is she?! Where the fuck is this Carmilla Carmine!?" Alastor hummed as he dropped a cube of sugar into his cup, mixing it as he turned to Adam.

"Haven't the faintest clue, my dear friend Zestial arrived to help her escape. I'm sure she's in one of her safehouses now, out of your sight O Mighty Father of Man." Alastor teased, ignoring Adam's snarling gaze.

"Of course…I'm sure it will be easy to find her…..for a price." Alastor offered.

"What?!"

"Simple elementary: You spare me the end of this little bet between you and the Princess, and I find you Carmine. Do we have a deal?" Alastor offered his hand, Adam glaring at the cannibal overlord.

"...Did you know?"

"Let's just say nowhere is safe in the hotel for secrets. Now, do we have a deal?" Alastor asked again, Adam's chest heaving back and forth.

"Let me get this straight: You knew about Vaggie's true identity, you KNEW about the missing angel, YOU KNEW we were searching for it, and NOW THAT I'M LOOKING FOR IT YOU WANNA BRIBE ME?! I SHOULD RIP YOUR FUCKING SOUL OUT OF YOUR ASS AND USE YOUR BODY AS A FUCKING PUPPET YOU FUCKING CANNIBAL PIECE OF SHIT!"

"Is that a no?"

"..."

"..."

"...One hour. You have one hour to find me Carmine, or else you'll be joining her in the grave." Adam promised, Alastor humming as he lifted the cup.

"Very well. Oh and I might just say, I never had angelic blood before, and I must admit." Adam's eyes widened as he looked down at Alastor's tea cup, seeing the golden liquid inside before the Overlord took a drink.

"...Could use a little more sugar." With that Alastor teleported away.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

(HIF)

"Hmm, hmm, hmmm." Alastor hummed as he reappeared in front of the hotel, awfully more gleeful than usual. He loved seeing the rage on Adam's face, but he also felt pity for Carmilla, not realizing what she had unleashed. Oh well, better her than him, that just meant more souls for the taking.

"Alastor!" Charlie exclaimed, peeking out the obliterated front door with the group.

"Yes, yes. I know I'll have this fixed up in a jiffy." Alastor said, tapping his staff and summoning his shadow puppets.

"Have you seen Adam? Where did he go?!" Charlie asked. Alastor found it quite amusing how much the Princess cared for the First Man, and he would notice how the ancient human would stare at her, a look of longing and familiarity on his mask.

Repulsive.

"Oh, I'm sure our Heavenly Father is just-!"

BOOM

"-blowing off some steam." Alastor finished, looking over at the golden explosion that eclipsed the skyscrapers of Pentagram City. From the dust Adam slammed to the ground, the fire around melting the pavement as Sinners ran away in fear.

"Breaking news! This is Katie Killjoy coming to you live from 666 News Channel. We just got an anonymous tip and picture that an Exorcist has been killed!" Adam's eyes widened as he twisted his head up to see Sachi's head projected on the tv like some trophy, the headliner screaming 'Dead Angel Bitch' over and over again. Adam's body burst like a fireball, his eyes zoning in on the news station, blasting towards them at lightning speed and landing at the door. His presence melted the glass as he walked up to the front desk, the sinner backing away in fear as Adam's heat incinerated everything around them.

"What floor?"

"T-Top floor." Adam growled before flapping his wings, melting the ceiling above and through the floor above. Back at the hotel, Alastor had disappeared once again leaving the group to simply do….nothing. Charlie paced back and forth, Vaggie watching her from the side, Nifty cleaning with the shadow demons, while Husk, Pentious, and Angel Dust watched tv.

"...I mean, shit, never thought they could die." Angel muttered, unsure how to feel. On one hand it proved that the angels weren't invincible and he didn't really know that angel well so he kind of took it like he saw some asshole dying in Hell. On the other hand, this angel must've been loved by Lute and Adam like family cause he had never seen Adam THAT angry, fucker was literally on fire.

"Yessss, sssseeing Lady Lute cry wasss sssad." Pentious frowned. While the angel did not consider him a friend Pentious was warming up to the angel and really seeing how awesome she was, and she hasn't stopped him from hugging her so she clearly has some form of care for the snake sinner.

"Yeah…Never seen her cry." Husk mused, since the time Lute has been here the Exorcist has rarely shown any emotion besides anger or uninterest and he was getting use to it, so to see the usual stone cold sinner killing Angel cry was…..well shit, it didn't make him happy. Maybe once upon a time he would call it karma and maybe it kind of is, but it actually hurt him seeing the two angels be this upset.

"Charlie, please you need to calm down." Vaggie said, trying to ease her girlfriend's stress.

"Calm down? Calm down?! Adam is on a warpath who knows where in the city and an angel has been killed, something I never thought possible, and to make it all worse the deadline of our bet is getting closer and we still haven't redeemed a soul!" Charlie exclaimed, fingers digging into her scalp. Everything seemed to go so smoothly, she thought Adam was warming up to them, that maybe he could extend the time on their bet or maybe just outright forget about it and help her improve the hotel. She thought they were becoming good friends, that maybe he would see that inside every demon was a rainbow, that redemption in Hell was possible.

Now, now she has no idea where he wa-

"Uh, Toots, you might wanna see this." Angel said from the couch, Charlie and Vaggie walking over only to gasp in shock seeing Adam on the screen, seemingly in the middle of some cooking show. He looked around and snarled, sinners running away in fear while he flew into the ceiling.

"Change the channel, change it!" Charlie quickly snatched the remote away, changing the channels to find Adam, missing him every second before she ended on the news channel.

"Great, this bitch." Angel Dust muttered, only to gawk as the image of Sachi's head appeared beside Katie.

"That's right folks, an Exorcist: The angels that come down once a year to kill us, has been found day and I say good ridd-!" Katie was cut off as the floor in front of her and Tom burst into flames, and everyone in the room went dead silent as Adam appeared, eyes glaring at each and every one of the filthy sinners around him. His eyes slowly shifted towards Katie, walking forward and placing his hand on the desk, burning through it.

"Is this live throughout all of PRIDE?!" Adam glared down at Katie, the news reporter shockingly clinging onto Tom and vice versa, shaking in fear.

"T-Technically yes, but we can't make everyone turn their TV's o-on." Tom whimpered, flinching as Adam snarled. This could be seen by anyone watching the news, more importantly the Vees in their tower, Vox relaxing on the couch with Velvette on a chair beside him.

"But I can. Val! Get your ass in her with the popcorn already! This is gonna be en-ter-tainment!" Vox exclaimed as his face glitches and shot electricity through the TV, the surge of energy spreading throughout all televisions and radios in the Ring of Pride. From the demons in Imp City, to the Royal Blood Ars Goetia, to Carmilla herself, all the way back to the Hazbin Hotel on everyones phone. In the newsroom, Adam looked up as he sensed a strange surge of energy travel around him, before one of the small screens glitched out with words forming.

'YOU'RE ON BUDDY! KNOCK THEM DEAD!'

"I just got a report that all televisions have been miraculously turned in Pride! T-That's your cue." Katie stuttered, Adam glaring at her before standing up to full height, turning to face one of the many cameras. Sinners, Demons, and Overlords stared at the angelic being, the Boogeyman that came down once a year and slayed all he can within Pride. No demon or sinner can remember the last time this being faced defeat, those old enough had never seen such rage on his face.

"Listen carefully and listen well, cause I know YOU'RE watching: I am Adam, First of Man and Father of Mankind, Taxiarch of the Exorcists and YOU made the fatal mistake of killing my angel….Carmilla Carmine." A few gasps reached Adam's ear, shock and surprise across the cities of Pride recognizing the name. Said Overlord frowned but her concern was to her daughters, both unsure as her.

"You won't get away with this, Justice will be served: I will find you, and I will kill you." Adam declared, Charlie's eyes widening in horror as Carmilla's daughters hugged her.

"You can run, but you won't escape, and for every ten minutes I don't find you I will incinerate an entire city block. Oh and the timer started the minute I found out." Adam held up his hand pointing it at Katie and Tom, both Sinners jumping out of the way as the First Man fired a beam of golden light from his palm, the laser blasted through the side of the building and down to the city below. Sinners were erased from existence as Adam's laser cleaved through an entire block, all that remains was rock and fire.

"Shit, someone's cranky." Cherri Bomb buttered from her spot on a roof, watching the explosions.

"Let that be the first example of what will happen, and I don't care how long it fucking takes. I reduce all of this sinful city to ashes if it means finding you. Run and die, fight and die, it doesn't matter Carmine: You're gonna DIE." With a mighty flap of his wings, Adam took to the sky knocking over all the cameras and shaking the building. Back at the hotel, everyone stared at the static screen in shock, even Nifty just blankly stared into the void.

"...Well, we're fucked." Angel muttered.

"Seriously?!" Husk asked, glaring at the pornstar.

"Uh, yeah! Did ya see that shit, fucker gonna destroy the whole city and no doubt us!"

"No. No, Adam kept his word, and he…he wouldn't actually…." Charlie was at a lost of words, her mind going a hundred miles per sec, trying to rationalize it all.

"Charlie, I know you wanna see the good in everyone, but THIS is who Adam is: This is what I am trying to protect you from." Vaggie said, gesturing to the hole in their hotel and the destroyed city block outside. She had to remind herself that Adam was still the monster he was years ago, nothing has changed, nothing could change that.

"Bad Boy mad."

"Speaking of, where do you think he went now?" Angel asked, followed by a sudden BOOM as the hotel shook, everyone looking up.

"...I can take a gamble." Husk said, Charlie immediately sprinting upstairs. Once she made it to the roof her eyes scanned the area til it landed on Adam sitting right on top of the neon lights, perched like a bird hunting for prey.

"Get back inside, Princess." Adam's voice was static, bestial as he refused to face the Princess.

"A-Adam, you can't do this, you can't kill this Carmilla!"

"And why can't I? She broke the treaty, and unless you can bring back an Angel a price is to be paid." Adam said as Vaggie made it up.

"Treaty? What treaty?!" Charlie asked, and before she could blink Adam appeared in front of her, summoning a golden piece of parchment, holding it in front of the Princess.

"The one your parents and Sins signed two thousand years ago."

"He's right, Charlie, sinners aren't allowed to fight back during E-Day and if by chance they do kill an angel well….you can see the result. The Sins and your Dad signed a treaty to end the wars two thousand years ago." Vaggie said, gesturing to Adam and the city. This law is one of many things Exorcists learned during their initiations as the laws during E-Day. It never stopped sinners or demons from fighting back since THEY didn't know, only the Sins and Rulers of Hell.

"...Vaggie, how did you know about this? I didn't even know about this." Charlie asked, looking at her girlfriend in confusion, who suddenly looked like a deer caught in a headlight. Charlie had never heard of this law before and her parents definitely didn't tell the public and if they did it would've surely it would've been a bigger deal or maybe that's why Carmilla hadn't told anyone.

"Y-You know what, nevermind, Adam?!" Charlie had so many more questions swimming in her mind, like why Vaggie knew about this, but she can't get distracted.

"Two thousand years ago, your father and the Sins agreed to the Exterminations in exchange those outside of Pride and his family would be safe. In return the angels, MY Exorcists, would cull the sinners and demons of this ring. SHOULD any of my angels be killed by a demon or sinner, they relinquish their lives. I've spent the seven thousand years before that watching angels die in your father's stupid rebellions and I'm NOT about to let another one begin." Adam stated. She had never seen this before, but then she remembered Lute's words in the Embassy: This was the deal her father made to protect the rest of Hell from Extermination.

"B-But wait, Adam, what if Carmilla felt terrible about it and knew-!"

"Don't care how she feels, it doesn't change the law and even if it did, fuck her." Adam growled turning around and making his way back to the sign.

"A-Adam, wait maybe just talk to her. Maybe it was an accident, we can still redeem and forgive her." The words stopped Adam dead in his tracks, his wings going rigid. Charlie attempted to reach out to Adam but stopped when he suddenly spun around, glaring at her with the same intensity he had the first day he arrived at the hotel.

"FUCK YOUR REDEMPTION! FUCK FORGIVENESS! AND FUCK HELL!" Adam roared flying into the air, the flames dancing around him.

"Hell is nothing a cesspool of damnation and misery that ruins everything it touches! Your fuckup of parents are why we're all here, why everything is so fucked with the world! Why these demons and sinners exist! Why I exist! These sinners don't give a fuck about your hotel or changing their ways! They don't deserve redemption, they don't deserve forgiveness! THEY DESERVE DEATH! THEY DESERVE EXTERMINATION! THEY DESERVE OBLIVION!" Adam roared, firing a beam from both hands, destroying another city block. Adam slammed onto the neon sign, snarling and huffing in rage, but he refused to look back at the expression of pain on the Princess' face. He simply closed his eyes and tuned it all out, the fire within him like raging inferno that burned everything in his path, the pain he felt. Just close it off.

"Adam?" Adam's eyes shot wide open, looking up from his spot to see Eve smiling down at him, two of his sheep following her. The First Man was on his knees planting new spots for his garden, the Sun slowly setting over the mountains. It had been many days and nights since Eve was created, and Adam was captivated by her, she was everything like him: Curious, kind, and innocent. Well, he WAS innocent once, but no longer.

Not since Lilith.

"Yes, Eve?" Adam asked, hesitant and confused as to why she was here. He didn't mind of course, but he has been somewhat distant to his new wife, not that he didn't trust her it's just….he didn't want to hurt her. Nor did he want to be hurt, just like Lilith, she could leave him for the Angels. He even one point nearly lost his control when he saw her playing in the waters near Gabriel and Raphael only to be calmed down by Sera and Michael, instantly feeling shame. He has yet to even make love with her in fear she would not be satisfied.

"Adam, do you want help?" Those words stopped Adam in his work, looking up at his wives curious gaze. She had never asked to help before, content with taking care of the animals or helping him make dinner. Since Eve's arrival the angels have come by less and less with Michael barely hanging around and mainly just Sera checking on them. Eve had taken over Lilith's chores and happily attended to them without complaint, the animals seemingly getting along with her just as easily.

"W-What compels you to ask this?" Adam's eyes were wide and fearful, could this be the start to how their relationship crumbles when it has barely started?

"I just finished my chores and you look so tired." Eve said, kneeling down beside her husband, and once upon a time he would look across his lover. Now he always had to look down to his shorter wife, it was so adorable he wanted to carry her everywhere. However, he wanted to be touched and heartfelt with her concern in his health….but he was afraid.

"I-I can handle this Eve, you just go back and see if there is anything else to do." Adam said.

"B-But Adam, you look so tired and I already finished the rest of the chores. I'm sure if I help we can get this do-!"

"NO! You will do as I say an-!" Adam's words died in his throat, realizing what vile things he would've just said, eyes landing on Eve's. Despite being surprised by his harsh words there was no look of hurt in Eve's eyes, just surprise and concern. That did little to stop Adam sputtering out an apology, dropping his tools.

"E-Eve, I'm s-sorr-I didn't mean tha-Oh Father, please help. I-I-" Adam's words were silenced as two hands grabbed both cheeks, gently brushing his cheek before guiding him into her bosom, petting his hair gently. Adam's eyes watered, memories flashing to a time where Lilith held him like this once….and just once. Eve hummed in his ear, soothing his pain as tears began forming in his eyes, wrapping his arms around her, whispering apologies as Eve soothed the embers of his flames.

"I'm sorry Eve, I shouldn't have done that. It's not that I don't want your help I….I….I don't know." He really had no excuse for his action, it was wrong plain and simple.

"...Is this about her? Lilith?" Eve was not surprised when Adam turned to her, shocked. He had not once told her about his first lover, so how could she know but before it dawned on him she continued.

"Lord Michael and Lady Jophiel had told me about her, warned me of her actions and unfaithful love with the Morning Star." Eve felt one of Adam's hands grip tightly at the mention of the traitor angel.

"If you don't want me to help you, Adam, I completely understand. I'm sorry I upset you." Adam's eyes widened in realization. Was he doing the same mistake he did with Lilith? No. Never again. He remembered what the angels told him when he first met Eve: She would be his new wife, innocent and subservient…but he didn't want that.

He just wanted to love and be loved.

"No. No, you don't need to apologize for wanting to help Eve. I am SO sorry I yelled, and I will never do it again. I just want you to be happy, I'll never let you be upset." Adam said, standing up and pulling Eve along with him. To her surprise, he hoisted her up in his arms, her giggles music to his ears.

"Adam!" Eve laughed as he carried her back to their hut, gently laying her down and enjoying her comfort.

"Adam….Adam-!"

"OH Adam~~~!" Adam's eyes shot open at that annoying radio voice, looking over his shoulder to see Alastor reappearing beside Charlie and Vaggie.

"Do have I good news for you, my jolly celestial fie-!" Alastor words were cut off as Adam landed right in front of him, glaring down at Alastor.

"Where. Is. She?"

"Alastor?!" Charlie asked, looking between the Overlord and Head Exorcist.

"May I see your hand, don't worry there is no trick." Alastor asked, holding his hand out. Adam glared at him for a few seconds before begrudgingly holding his hand out, mentally gagging as shadows danced over Alastor's hand and onto Adam's.

"This little fellow is like a compass, leading you to the thing you desire most: Revenge." Alastor chuckled as Adam tore his hand away, only for Charlie to clutch his arm.

"Adam, you can't do this, there has to be another way!"

"Sorry Princess, I've learned long ago this is the only language Hell understands." With that Adam flapped his wings and took to the sky, flying straight to the city. Hell only knew violence, and he will gladly speak its language.

(HIF)

Zestial stood at guard with many of Carmilla's forces in front of one of her many warehouses, waiting for when the Head Exorcist would arrive. He had no idea that Carmilla had killed an angel, or that even one was dead. Still, he knew had Heaven got word of this they would send their Wrath, which now had wrecked several city blocks with his power. He had seen the angel in action during E-Day, he was formidable yes but not invincible now. Carmilla was an old friend and he would protect her even with his dying breath. His eyes looked up as a golden comet flew towards them at breakneck speed, shattering windows and shaking buildings. He landed in front of the warehouse, shaking the city as he unfurled his wings and glared at Zestial.

"Does thy angel not wish to search for a peaceful solution to our current predicament?" Zestial asked, Adam's eyes glaring at his. Zestial figured he could not reason with this being, this bloodthirsty monster, but who was he to judge?

"Thou should understand their loss, but my friend was only protecting what she loved. Surely, you can see in your golden hea-!"

"You broke Lute's wing." Adam stated, smelling the angelic blood on Zestial's hand, and before the Overlord could blink Adam was upon him, hand gripping Zestial's face.

"WHERE. THE FUCK. DO YOU GET OFF. HURTING MY LUTEY!?" A flash of light, a swing of his ax, and multiple gunshots echoed across the hotel. Barely a few minutes passed and Adam stood in the center of dead sinners and demons, Zestial nearby-not dead but one of his arms were torn off, Adam vendetta was not with him. With another swing of his guitax he broke down the front door, barging through it. He walked down the hall until he reached a large open room with a second floor, dragging his guitax behind him. He looked around the room noticing the walls decorated with weapons made of angelic steel, he would be impressed if he wasn't so damned pissed.

"Does God love us?" A voice asked from all around him, and Adam heard the sound of metal hitting the ground, a little 'tink' echoing in his ear.

"A silly question, I know, but it was always a thought I've had once or twice in my life. How could he love us when he sends his children to kill the sinners down here in Hell." Adam looked up to the second floor, noticing a silhouette move within the shadows, a gleam of silver within the darkness.

"Still, it is said God loves all his children, and those of Hell were not made by another so it was always assumed the Almighty made us too for why else would he not just destroy us?" Adam's eyes narrowed as silver eyes stared back at him in the darkness, the one known as Carmilla stepped forward. He had to admit internally, she was quite a beautiful woman, a sinful body that could tempt him if he was a lesser man. He was fucking Adam, and she will pay in blood.

"A sin for thought, I know you have no care for the denizens of Pride, but I figured I could get some perspective from a supposed Heavenly being." Adam remained quiet, eyes narrowed in a heated gaze at Carmilla. She let out a heavy sigh, adorned in her angelic armor, ready to face off against the Head Exorcist. She made sure her daughters have fled, this was her ordeal and hers alone.

"I know you cannot forgive me for what has happened, but you have to understand I did what I did to protect what I love. But I didn't ki-!"

"Did it feel good? Killing her? Did it make you feel like an Archfiend, killing an angel?" Adam growled, gripping his guitax and lifting onto his shoulder.

"I hope it made you feel all big and strong, cause I'm gonna cut you down from that pedestal. I've lived enough lives, seen enough angels die to Hell, and I will not let this stand. So I will make you as a warning, a reminder to those who think they're the next Typhon that I am here to remind them what I am. I am Adam, the Head Exorcist, Slayer of Hell, your fucking Reaper." Adam growled, aiming his ax at Carmilla. The Overlord sighed in defeat, hardening her gaze as she took a stance.

"Very well, Head Exorcist, try and take my life but don't think I will give it willingly." Carmilla growled, a silver aura of flames dancing across her legs. Adam growled and in a flap of his wings he was upon Carmilla swinging his guitax. Carmilla easily ducked under the blow and spun away as Adam gave chase, slicing through the ground and walls before Carmilla grabbed one of the staffs on the wall, clashing with Adam. Both glared at each other, Adam pushing Carmilla away and flying after her destroying a piece of the second floor beneath her. She elegantly landed on the ground and lifted her stiletto, blocking a swing before spin kicking Adam's head.

Adam snarled as he held his cheek, feeling his helmet chip a bit due to the angelic steel, a part of him reprimanding his incompetence for letting this happen. Well, something he will correct now. He spun his weapon as he charged, narrowly missing Carmilla as she somersaulted away, her left leg releasing white flames as she fired a wave of demonic energy towards Adam. The First man cut through the energy with his golden weapon creating a cloud of dust blocking his vision. Hearing movement behind him Adam turned around to block a kick, only to growl as Carmilla had grabbed a staff jabbing into his side. Carmilla's eyes widened as he grabbed her leg and tossed her aside, ripping the staff out and flinging it away seemingly unaffected by the wound.

"Your movements are sloppy, you are driven by your detestation, every move stoked with animosity." She reached for two sais' and spun them in her grip, Adam charging at her. The two traded blows, sparks flying as the Head Exorcist danced with the Overlord, glaring at her as his face glitched out. She ducked under his swing and went for his jugular, only for him to catch both her arms and to be tossed over his shoulder losing her weapons. The angelic steel melted in Adam's heated grip, flicking the slag away before flying after Carmilla. He stabbed his ax into the wall chasing her, slicing through the material with ease.

Adam had to admit she was quite elegant and strong, though she had to be alive or own thousands of souls to be this strong. The two traded blows but Adam had yet to get a single hit on her, was he getting rusty? Maybe, he only fights demons once a year unlike the days in the Primal Earth era and the rebellions. No, something was wrong with him, was it his mind? Was he so out of balance she was getting the edge? He knocked her back and flew into the air, guitax overhead before swinging it down, only to snarl as she caught it with the heels of her stilettos, glaring up at him before more flames danced across her body. She moved out of the way as his ax hit the ground, the Overlord firing off several waves of demonic energy striking Adam. Whatever this energy was it was clearly fused to the angelic steel she wore, cause Adam stared at his arm which had taken the hit seeing his robes torn apart for the first time in centuries. To Carmilla's shock, Adam was not enraged as she thought, in fact he seemed confused.

"...One thing still gnawing in the back of my head over all of this." Adam said, staring at the golden blood dripping down his arm, eyes turning to face Carmilla.

"Why not tell all of Hell? Sachi had to have been dead for months, you had plenty of opportunity to galavant and tell Pride and the other Rings YOU killed an Angel. You would've been hailed as a hero and could've kickstarted the next rebellion." Adam said, his glare softened as Carmilla sighed.

"It was never my intention to tell all of Hell, should I have done that, I knew this realm would go to war. I was not born back then, but I knew those who survived the rebellions, and what Might the Heavens had, surely it would have been a bloodbath that would have wasted thousands of angelic and demonic lives." Carmilla answered, and to her surprise Adam looked shocked…..before confused…..and then.

He laughed.

He chuckled first, a dry chuckle escaping his throat, before that chuckle became a laughter and his laughter disturbed Carmilla. She had heard plenty of people laugh dryly at something, or in mockery or sarcastically. No, Adam's was not of mockery or dryness, it was…psychotic. It was like years and years of pain and misery had boiled over and now he was letting it all out. He clutched his head and laughed that surprisingly disturbed Carmilla it sounded so….sad. Adam could not believe what he just heard, she kept this all to protect Hell? It was so absurd, laughable and it hurt even more when she spoke no lie, but it wasn't the full truth.

"A demon wishing to protect Hell? HAHA-Now that is comedy!" Adam laughed as he leaned on his ax, glaring at the Overlord.

"Y-You expect me to believe you care about this shithole? What a fucking joke, and we both know you don't care about Hell." Adam said, he doubted anyone but Princess herself cared about this realm, not even her bastard of a father cared about it and this place was MADE for him.

"Still, at least now I know. Now I see." Adam said, his mind at ease and his rage boosted even more. Carmilla's eyes widened as Adam removed his robes revealing the templar-like armor beneath him, his face glitching red to crimson.

"Now I no longer need to hold back this already restricted power." Adam growled, holding out his other hand and summoning another guitax, this one black and golden before slamming both together. Carmilla watched Adam's face glitch from gold to crimson before it completely shut off devoid of life. She blinked and Adam was upon her, the Overlord bending back as he swung both axes, the Overlord spinning away but Adam gave chase. Carmilla realized his speed had increased, using her legs to block a swing only to be knocked back by the other guitax.

He kicked her away and into a wall, standing over her with his axes raised high, Carmilla rolling away and jumping towards him with her heel out, slicing across his face but he simply dropped an ax and grabbed her leg. Carmilla could do nothing as Adam slammed her around like a ragdoll, her face met the ground as Adam let her go. Twisting her body she held both feet up catching the blade of guitax with her heels. She gripped her hands and out came two claws in both hands, slashing at Adam's chest and pushing him away. She gracefully landing on foot before spinning her body like a ballerina, or a very sharp tornado. Adam held his guitax's up as Carmilla crashed into him, spinning at superhuman speed, shaking the building around her.

She jumped back and from the tornado fired several spears of demonic energy, flying through the air and around Adam. The spears surrounded the First Man before lunging towards him, Adam take both guitax's and slamming them together. The collision released a wave of golden light that destroyed the spears and sent Carmilla flying into a wall. She pushed off it as Adam flew towards her, clashing once more but Adam had more momentum due to his wings, slamming her into the wall. He jumped back and swung his guitax and wing releasing a wave of golden energy as Carmilla jumped away. She swung her leg as Adam did his ax, the collision of angelic and demonic released an explosion that sent Carmilla rolling to the ground. Carmilla pushed herself up but Adam slammed his boot on her shoulder pinning her, his ax inches from her neck.

Taking a gamble, Carmilla lifted her leg and wrapped one around his shoulder, pulling him away and down the stairs of the second floor. Adam landed back on his feet and tossed his guitax's away, his palms burning with angelic energy. Carmilla's eyes widened and ran away before Adam slammed his hands together firing a beam of golden light. It erased everything in its path, right behind Carmilla as she ran. The entire building began to collapse around them from the power of the First Man, the entire city shook with his wrath. Adam stopped his attack, looking around for Carmilla when he heard her strangled grunting. He walked through the room to find her pushing herself back on her feet prepared to fight, her hair let down no longer in held up. She charged at Adam swinging her legs for a kick, only for Adam to grab it and latch a hand around her throat stopping her cold.

"Is this how she felt when you fucking killed her? Afraid? Alone?!" Adam growled, his mask still devoid of life as he gripped Carmilla's throat squeezing tightly. The Overlord struggled in his grip as he kept her at a distance to not hit him but his grip was incredibly strong.

"Did you feel powerful killing her? Well I feel powerful knowing I avenged one my angels." Adam growled, summoning one his guitax's.

"Any last words?" Adam growled, lifting his guitax as Carmilla struggled.

"I….I-I…..did….ki…."

"What?" Adam growled, loosening his grip just enough as Carmilla gasped for air.

"I….I didn't…..kill her."

The words shocked Adam, his helmet coming back to life as his golden eyes widened in horror, not because of what she said but because SHE WASN'T LYING. He words spoke truth….and he refused to believe it.

"No. No you're fucking lying!"

"I…..I wounded her, but I ran, I didn't kill her." Carmilla gasped as Adam held her inches from his face.

"THEN WHO FUCKING DID?!"

"I don't know." Carmilla whispered, Adam growled as he lifted her into the air. It had to be a trick, a demon trick that was messing with his mind.

"You expect me to believe you? You fucking demon! You devils are nothing but vile lying losers! Losers who deserve death!" Adam growled, lifting his ax preparing to swing it.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!" Adam looked to the side, dropping Carmilla and holding his free hand up, catching something. Looking over he saw two demonic girls glaring at him, one holding what looked to be an angelic rocket launcher, said rocket in his hand. Carmilla looked up at Adam, the First Man glaring at her with the rocket in hand. He crushed it. Carmilla jumped away before the explosion sent her flying into the wall.

"Mom/Mother!" Both her daughters, Clara and Odette, ran over helping Carmilla back onto her feet.

"Y-You both need to get out of here, now!" Carmilla pleaded, holding her daughters close and trying to guide them away. Adam's rage was on her, and she will not let them get caught in his flames.

"Not without you!" Clara exclaimed, holding her mothers arm.

"Heheheh…." The dark chuckle stopped Carmilla, looking back to the flames as something stepped out, Adam's golden wings unfurling revealing the angelic human was perfectly fine. However, she noticed that the left side of his helmet was cracked, shards of it falling off revealing that he had a mortal appearance as a singular golden eye glared at her, his holographic face turned crimson red.

"I'd say this had been entertaining but I'd by lying." Adam growled, dragging his guitax behind him, Carmilla's daughters standing in front of her, Adam's eyes on the Overlord but he did respond to them.

"Get out of the way, little Sinners, this is between me and this bitch." Adam said, lifting his guitax over his shoulder.

"No! We won't let you harm her." Odette snared, holding up a Carmine Rifle.

"Girls, no!"

"...Fine." Adam lifted the guitax over his head, Carmilla pushing her daughters aside to protect them, waiting for the inevitable end.

"ADAM!"

(HIF)

"Adam!" Charlie cried, watching the First Man fly off into the distance, prepared to kill this Carmilla. Charlie only heard her from Vaggie and Pentious other than that she knew nothing of her personally. Still, she can't sit back and watch Adam kill her people, and most important….lose Adam to his rage.

"Charlie, it's pointless, you can't stop Adam." Vaggie sighed. Charlie wanted to understand her girlfriend's point of view, but she refused to believe there was no other way. She had seen the cracks in Adam's armor, that deep down he wasn't just some Heavenly Monster to carry the Sins of Light. That he loved Eve without question and used to love her mother, that he was once a pure soul like her once upon a time. She couldn't give up, because if she did it would go against all she worked for. She believed there was good in others, that there was a chance in redemption and if one wanted to pull themselves out of the dark: She would be there.

"Razzle! Dazzle!" Both of her pets broke through the ceiling, flying happily in front of her before she lifted her hand with demonic magic. The two small goat demons were consumed in flames before expanding, and in their place stood two draconic demons roaring to the skies.

"Charlie?!" The Princess hopped onto Razzle, ushering him after Adam. Vaggie watched her girlfriend take to the sky, before her eye landed on Dazzle, the dragon lowering his back for her. Without a second thought Vaggie hopped onto the dragon and after Charlie. She knew there was no chance in stopping Adam, he was far to gone, but she won't let him hurt Charlie.

"...Well, might as well enjoy the show." Alastor hummed, summoning a chair and a mini-binocular, sitting down and enjoying the show. Charlie followed after where Adam flew, using Razzle to find his scent, flying across the city til they landed near a warehouse. She instantly saw the multitude of dead sinners and angelic weapons lying around. She hopped off Razzle as Vaggie landed nearby.

"Charlie, what are you doing?"

"What does it look like?! I'm going to save both Carmilla and Adam." Charlie said determinedly, marching to the warehouse where she had no doubt Adam was in, before Vaggie stood in front of her.

"Charlie, there is no stopping or SAVING Adam, you can't reason with a monster like him." Vaggie said, Charlie frowning at her.

"Vaggie, I can't give up on him-!"

"He's not some patient of yours, Charlie. He's a monster and murderer who spent centuries killing your people for entertainment. He doesn't believe in redemption, he said it himself." Vaggie said.

"He may not, but I DO. I'm not giving up on him or anyone that wants a chance at redemption. Come on Vaggie, we have to help them." Charlie said. Adam may be a monster to Hell, but he got into Heaven for a reason, she had to stand by her morals.

"Charlie I know you wanna believe the good in people, but you DON'T know Adam like I…." Vaggie trailed off, realizing she almost let it slip but it was too late, Charlie stopping in her tracks.

"...Vaggie, is there something you're not telling me?" Charlie asked, looking at her girlfriend in concern.

"I…..Charlie I-!"

"Because ever since Adam arrived you are always on edge with him and Lute, at first I just thought you didn't like them and it was understandable. Whenever you and Lute get into an argument I thought it was just dislike for angels and sinners. But then you kept warning me about them, Adam specifically like you knew what he was capable of when I DIDN'T even know it was him til we met."

"Then there is the angelic weapon you have which I would've brushed under the rug but the comments Adam made weeks ago have been ringing through my head. Now you apparently know about a treaty that I don't even know about besides my parents and Heaven. Vaggie, what is going on?" The one eyed sinner looked down in defeat, Adam's words from earlier echoing in her ear. Time to face the music.

"It isn't just your parents or the Sins who know about the Treaty. Adam, and only his army in Heaven know about it….That's how I know." Vaggie began, rubbing her arm.

"Vaggie?"

"I…..I'm an Angel, Charlie. I was one of Adam's Exorcists." Charlie's eyes widened in shock, stunned by the revelation as Vaggie closed her eye in shame.

"...N-No, I found you in that alleyway, you didn't have wings or a halo. You said you died on Earth." Charlie said.

"...I am a Saint, but I joined Adam's army and earned my wings…but when I went rogue, Lute cute my eye out and tore my wings off. That was right before we met." Vaggie admitted, looking up at Charlie who looked like she had just been betrayed. This whole time, her girlfriend had been an angel, and one that slayed her people.

"W-Why?!"

"I wanted to tell you, so badly….but I was afraid you would hate me. I'm a murderer, Charlie, just like them." Vaggie admitted. This whole time she always held Adam and Lute at such disgusting values for taking joy, but deep down she knew she was a hypocrite, but if she pushed those thoughts aside she knew how wrong she was that she killed sinners. It hurt so much but she would hope Charlie would understand, but her face screamed confusion and horror.

"Char-!" Vaggie's words were cut off as a golden beam shot through the warehouse, cutting through the sky like a wound in the crimson scar. Charlie looked between Vaggie and the warehouse, taking a deep breath, and ran straight towards the building. Vaggie's cry echoed in her ear, but Charlie couldn't deal with this, she needed to keep a cool head in this already chaotic situation. She tried to pry the broken door that seemed to have caved in, before Dazzle ram his head through making a hole for its master. Charlie muttered a small thank you before running in, explosions in the distance until she finally entered a large destroyed room. Fire and rubble spread across the floor, but Charlie's eyes were on the First Man as he towered over who she assumed was Carmilla and two girls that shared similarities with her.

"ADAM!" Her voice cut through the air, his name stopping the Father of Mankind. He did not turn around, but he lowered his guitax, voice bestial as he spoke over the flames.

"Go home, Charlie, this doesn't concern you." Adam said, his eyes glaring down at Carmilla.

"Adam, please, this has to stop. You already killed no doubt hundred of sinners-!"

"Yet the one who killed one of MY girls is still alive." Adam growled, shoulders burning with intense flames.

"Adam. I'm sorry that one of your angels is dead, but killing the one who killed her won't bring you back." Charlie said, taking a step forward, hearing Vaggie running up behind her. Across from them, Carmilla's daughters looked at each other before Odette stepped up.

"My mother didn't kill the angel, we don't know who did." Odette's words shocked both Charlie and Vaggie, but Charlie soon smiled in relief.

"R-Really?!"

"Yes, our mother wounded the angel but escaped, we saw it all happen." Clara said, standing protectively in front of her mother.

See, Adam?! It's all one big misunderstanding."

"Charlie." Vaggie warned in a whisper, but the Princess took a step forward to Adam, his body yet to relax and the flames getting brighter.

"Adam, please let's just go back to the Hotel."

"Why the fuck would I do that?! For all we know these little shits are lying." Adam glared down at the trio, Carmilla instinctively pulling her daughters back.

"Adam….we both know your gifts know when someone is lying." Vaggie stated, Charlie looking at the First Man in surprise, did he have a power to detect lies?

"It doesn't fucking matter, Sachi is dead and SOMEONE NEEDS TO PAY!" Adam growled, aiming his guitax at Carmilla.

"Adam, no! Don't let everyone see you as the monster they see you as, I know there's good in you. Everyone at the hotel knows, YOU know that." Charlie said.

"...You think I CARE what HELL thinks of ME?!" Adam growled, turning to face Charlie, both her and Vaggie shocked to see his helmet broken and half of his face revealed if only covered in shadows from the flames. Vaggie has never seen Adam without his helmet, and surprisingly he had a golden eye like that of Lord Michael.

"I'm glad Hell sees me as the Boogeyman, I've dealt with Hell's bullshit since the FALL. It's all fucking unfair!"

"Adam?" Charlie asked, as the First Man seemingly began to rant.

"It's not even just about Sachi now, it's about EVERYTHING: Eden, Earth, humanity, my kids, EVE!" Adam twirled around, glaring down Carmilla.

"Why the fuck does a demon like you, who owns thousands of souls, get to have a happy life?! Why do Devils like Alastor, Valentino, Paimon, the Sins, and FUCKING LUCIFER get to be happy while I suffered! I fought tooth and nail for my family! I protected them and promised them Paradise! But what do I GET?! MY wife dead, my children gone: Swallowed by the jaws of Death itself while YOU get to have a family?!" Ada glared, aiming his ax at Carmilla.

"I DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS LIFE! MY FAMILY DIDN'T DESERVE PUNISHMENT AND IF ANYONE DID IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME?!" Even Vaggie was shocked by this, never thought Adam would put his own life like that, putting more thoughts of confusion in her head.

"MY FAMILY DESERVED PARADISE! NOT YOU! YOU DEMONS TREAT HELL AS A PARADISE! I'LL FUCKING MAKE SURE YOU DEMONS ARE REMINDED WHAT IT IS! DAMNATION! OBLIVION!" Adam roared and lifted his guitax into the air. Eve's smile appeared in his head, the First Man roaring as he swung down, finally ending Carmilla. However, it took all of his strength to stop his golden ax as it was mere inches from Charlie's face, Adam glared down at her.

"Get out of the way, Charlie."

"No. Adam. I won't." Charlie said. One part of her was doing this to save Carmilla, she didn't know the woman at all but she won't let her pay for the crimes of another. The main reason, however, was to stop and save the angel in front of her.

"I know your hurt, Adam, I can't share YOUR experience of pain. I do know what its like to not be able to help people I care about, even if they don't care about me, and be helpless. Now though, I have that chance, and I know you can see the good in this." Charlie said, trying to reach into the cracks of Adam's hardened shell and see that once pure soul he HAD to have been. The others looked at him as this murderous angel who had no empathy or care for anyone but herself….but she saw it. She saw the way he laughed with the others at the hotel, the way he spoke of Eve, of a life in Eden. She saw how Lute and Lily looked to him as a beacon of what humanity came from. He murdered thousands here but so did everyone else in Hell, she saw what no one else will.

"Adam…..I can't stop you…but if you have to take a life….you'll take mine too." Charlie declared, holding her arms out in front of Carmilla.

"Charlie, NO!" Vaggie cried out, but with a command from the Princess, Razzle and Dazzle held Vaggie back. The Overlord stared at the Princess in shock, then her eyes turned to the shocked and enraged angelic being. Adam stared down at Charlie, flabbergasted by her selfless act to sacrifice herself for some Overlord bitch who never knew her. She's willing to go to such lengths to save these infernal hellspawns that made others suffer. It hurt, it burned his chest, the First Man growling as he prepared to swing the guitax again.

"RRRRAAAAHHHH-!" Adam's roar was cut off as he stared wide-eyed down at Charlie, her eyes staring up at him, pleading with eyes tearing up.

"Adam….we both know Eve wouldn't want this." Adam's eyes widened, and for a split second the flames changed from crimson to snow white. The world would change from a warehouse to a garden, and in Charlie's place he saw…..himself. Or at least an Adam full of innocence and wonder, standing before him with his arms out, Eve kneeling behind him with THE apple in hand. The world changed once more to show Lilith herself standing before him, Lucifer in chains and this time a flaming sword in Adam's hands, the world around them changed to chaos as angels and demons attacked. Her eyes were full of fear and pleading to his heart, the same look she had in the Garden. The world changed once more to show Eve now, standing before him, her arms held out and behind her this time was Adam himself, his arm bloody. She looked into his eyes, and the action made the fire within Adam smolder, before Charlie stood before him once again.

"Don't be Adam the Monster, the Head Exorcist…..be Adam, the First Man, the Father, the one Eve loved." Adam gasped and growled, the flames around his body going erratic. He looked over his shoulder at his golden reflection through his axe, seeing not the man...but the demonic visage he's worn as Adam the Head Exorcist. The Heaven's Wrath. The Beast of Empyrean.

"RRAAHH!" Carmilla covered her daughters waiting for the end as Adam roared, but her eyes widened as he missed Charlie and threw his ax away, the weapon stabbed itself into rubble. Adam fell to his knees, panting heavily as the flames finally died around them, as if going out due to Adam's rage. Charlie let out a sigh of relief, feeling guilt for weaponizing Adam's wife, but if it meant protecting him and Carmilla she had to take a chance.

"Are you okay, Miss Carmine?" Charlie asked, turning to the Overlord while her pets let Vaggie go.

"Yes….thank you, your Majesty." Carmine said, bowing her head.

"Just Charlie is fine." Charlie said with a small smile, before turning to Adam. The First Man stared at the ground, his shoulders shaking in rage, Charlie staring at him with a somber expression.

"Adam…..I'm sorry, I'm sorry about Sachi and wha-!"

"Lilith….why….WHY?!" Adam roared, slamming his fist into the earth, the earth beneath shook as he repeatedly punched the floor.

"I….I loved you…..I loved Eve…..EVE!" Adam lifted both hands slamming them into the ground, a pillar of golden light shot into the sky piercing the red space. Charlie and the others shielded their vision from the light, before it died down to reveal Adam in a crater of his own making.

"Why….why did you take her…..Eve….please come back." Charlie's eyes widened as a noise she never thought she heard from Adam. She slid down into the crater, walking over to Adam as Vaggie stood at the edge, eye wide in shock. Charlie stood in front of Adam, shocked at the sight before her. For the past few months she had never seen Adam's face originally thinking the helmet was his face. Now that the fire was gone she could get a good look at one side of his face, he looked so mortal in appearance with pale skin, brown hair, and a goatee. No, what truly shocked her to the core were the tears sliding down his eye. Even Carmilla was surprised by the tears and cries from the raging beast minutes earlier.

Charlie didn't see a monster, only a man who had been broken by the centuries of bloodshed and pain and it was finally taking its toll. To everyones shock above, Charlie kneeled down and cupped Adam's chin, bringing him close until his face rested in her embrace. She rubbed his cheek soothingly, feeling the tears stain her shirt, but she smiled softly as one arm slowly reached around her, only to be gently pulled away. Adam's eye wide in horror as he looked down at his own hands, clutching his head as he growled, backing away from Charlie as his golden LED lights glitched out again.

"Ada-!" Charlie's words were cut off as Adam took to the side at breakneck speed, leaving behind Hell until he entered Heaven.

"...Hmmm…..Something feels wrong." Michael mused, looking out the window to his office as Sera sat in front of his desk sipping tea. The two were discussing the arrival of new Saints, enjoying the small break they had in their endless work. Suddenly, Michael felt a strange wave of concern pass over him, as if sensing a disturbance in Heaven.

"Perhaps something is happening down on Earth?" Sera suggested, having a similar feeling in her gut, but could not pinpoint.

"...Where is Adam?" Michael asked, noticing he had not seen the First Man this morning at the meeting. That was a given in some cases, but he didn't even get a report from Lute or even Lily so that was strange indeed.

"I believe he went down into Hell with Lieutenant Lute and Lily this morning-!"

BOOM

Both Archangel and Seraphim stood at attention as something crashed against the building, shaking it. Suddenly, the ceiling gave out and dust covered their vision, but with a flap of Sera's wings the two stared at the sight before them.

"Adam?!" The First Man was on all four, blood dripped down his arm and to their surprise half of his helmet was cracked.

"Michael….Sera….Please." Adam cried out, both flying towards him, his hand clutching Sera's robes.

"Sera, get Raphael." Michael ordered, Sera nodded attempting to fly away only for Adam to pull her back down.

"Adam?"

"Please….don't leave me too…." The words caught both angels by surprise, but the shock on their faces tripled as Adam looked up at them, tears sliding down his eye. They haven't seen Adam cry since he first entered Heaven, a sight they never thought possible.

"Please…..tell me I'm still Adam."

"Adam, what are you talking about?" Sera asked.

"Please, Sera, I'm still Adam, right? The same Adam….from Eden?" Sera's features softened, feeling the pain radiating off of the First Man like fire. She was his oldest friend, one of the first to witness his birth in Eden, to say farewell when he fell from the garden and to welcome him to Heaven. She reached up and grabbed the outline and with a soft tug she pulled it off, gently handing it to Michael who set it down as the Lord of the Heavens placed a comforting hand over Adam while Sera hugged him.

"Please….Please…..I'm still Adam."

WWWWHHHOOOO! My fingers are on FIRE! Goddamn this was ONE EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER! The rage, the fight, the sadness, the breakdown. I enjoyed every moment of this chapter from beginning to end which tbf I say that for a lot of chapters in books like ADJ, TMD, and this one but I mean them. So let's begin with Lute who I haven't focused on since this story is mainly about Adam's development but I did wanna show some perspective for Lute. She is a lot like Adam and shares his sentiments but her reasoning doesn't come from the Fall of Eden (That certainly didn't help) and we will explore that in the second half of this story. I wanted the first half to be a flashback since I wanted to use Italic just cause I wanted flashbacks but didn't wanna focus on JUST Eden. There'll probably be like two to three flashbacks focusing on Lute from here on, just gonna figure out when and where. Anywho we also get a bit more about Carmilla, though TBF there isn't much to go on here so I'm kind of just winging it with her flashback. I DO have a plan for a certain arc later on but for now we'll just stick with Carmilla for how she is in the story. You can argue she is a compelling character as she isn't like most Sinners/Overlords but thats also a matter of perspective.

Lute is obvious conflicted since she hates Sinners but finds everyone at the Hotel...tolerable in her eyes. However now with the discovery of Sachi dead her rage is gonna be put to the test in the second half which is her arc in this story. Sort of like Adam but in the second half and probably not as much time, you'll see what I mean. Adam has reminded everyone in Pentagram City who the hell he is, and that was just a taste of Adam's power. I mean in the show it took the King of Hell himself to beat Adam and going by the Hazbin/Hellaverse hierarchy Charlie is more powerful than even the Sins (Different in my story but I'll explain that later) so Adam pretty fucking strong in Canon. Of course when I wrote that Adam can now stop holding back his 'restrictive' power I meant what I said. He can't use his full power in Hell and there is a lore reason (If ya played Darksiders you'll get the idea, just look up the Horseman seals or some shit), does that put him above Lucifer? No, but that moment near the end with the flaming sword DID happen and will be explained later. In his current state he can pretty much take on Overlords and would match most Ars Goetia before using the Seals.

Speaking of which, ya know I think I really excel at writing fights if ya read A Devil's Justice or The Marvelous Devil I love to write fight scenes. Since this story is more Slice of Life/Comedy there won't be as much fighting. Hell there's gonna be like one other MAJOR fight in this story and that's at the final arc in this story between Adam and another character (You'll see in a sec). So there's that, how powerful is he without the restrictions? Who knows, that'd be spoilers lol. In the original draft of this arc Charlie was gonna use a song her mother taught her that would 'stop' Adam in his tracks but what it would do is replay his memories with the First Woman. It would've broken him down but since I didn't wanna really build that up I just wanted to stick to Charlie's core gut attitude and following her heart trying to see the good in everyone. I was also gonna have Adam pull a Super Buu and just fire a huge bombardment across Pentagram City but I feel like that would've been to much so I just pulled a Cell and let him go up the News Building. I was also gonna have Lucifer appear (Not really mentioned but you would've recognized him) but I feel like his appearance would have taken Charlie's time to shine. Vaggie's reveal is relatively the same and it works out, how Charlie reacts now will be addressed and a much smaller arc between the two, but won't be resolved in ONE fucking episode. Let's get to the real twist of the chapter.

Carmilla didn't kill the angel, I feel like that might've been obvious but I didn't want it to be, I wanted all of you to think she actually did it and I didn't want it to be like she didn't until the reveal. I would have left cookie crumbs that she did something but that's no fun, why not pull the rug from under y'all. I mean...she is in the harem so that would be crazy for Adam to kill her lol. Who did kill the Angel? Well let the mystery remain that for a while XD. So this chapter did take a while not because of the reveal, but because of Adam's breakdown WHICH was my favorite moment with him and Charlie. THIS is the moment that defines and kickstarts Adam relationship with Charlie and by proxy Vaggie, where they see the man that was once a pure soul before Eden went to Hell. Will this define a new start for Adam? I mean how can ya change what you've been doing for thousands of years? Well that will be answered in the next arc of the book. For now, with eight chapters done I am gonna take a hiatus from Hell is Forever and work on other stories like The Marvelous Devil, my new Hazbin Hotel story HELL IS METAL that is AU sequel to the show with Adam in HELL SHREDDING IT! Maybe even try a oneshot series of Adam with ladies from the Hazbin/Helluva series could be fun. I also have MOST of the second half done and planned out, like two chapters I still need to work on but here are the Two Part chapters names for the second half and a teaser for each chapter.

Redemption is Friendship: Adam must make the choice that will decide what kind of man he will be: The Heaven's Wrath, or Hell's Salvation. Charlie takes him to Lu-Lu World!

Daddy Comes Home: Lucifer comes to visit, setting the tension that has been between him and Adam for over ten thousand years, revealing the bloody wars that have gone on for centuries.

Deal with the Devil: Adam must make the ultimate choice if it means saving those closest to him, making a deal with an Overlord.

Hell is Forever: Adam sets out on his ultimate challenge: Kill one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Ya know what's funny, the story will end hopefully on chapter sixteen and if you go by every chapter being a two parter like they're one episode we're literally only episode four and got four more episodes. I didn't realize this until like two weeks ago LOL. This second half also includes Helluva Boss characters, that's right: IMP is coming to town WHOO! With that I leave a little idea for next chapter: A few weeks have passed since Adam's rage and his mood has become conflicted. It's up to Emily the Joy Bringer to lift the spirit of the oldest Saint in Heaven, Lute is conflicted, and we get more focus on the Archangels and their opinion of the Hazbin Hotel and their niece.

Until next time, Zer0the0mega108 out!
