A/N: back from vaca, back in talder rabbit hole!
thank you Jen for proofreading this even with a migraine.
thanks Mango for listening when I was sorting out my thoughts.
enjoy!

Sarah's door had been locked with a Sygil for the past three nights and she hadn't been on her throne either. Tally checked with her Sight that the General wasn't in Fort Salem at all. On the fourth night, she mustered her courage and joined Petra on the first platform in the bar. The woman was occupying Sarah's throne during her absence and Tally wanted, no needed to know where her vampire was and when she would be back.

It had been days and she was missing her like crazy. Her hunger wasn't helping either. Abigail suggested that she should feed on someone in the bar, but that thought was repulsive to Tally. She wanted Sarah, thank you very much. Craved her, really.

"Uhm, hi," Tally smiled at the older vampire, dimples sinking in her cheeks. "I'm your daughter's friend, Tally Craven."

"I am aware, Talia," Petra raised her eyebrows, but a smile was tugging at the corners of her lips.

"Just Tally," she corrected. "It's not short for anything. It's just Tally as … hmmm, Tally," she chuckled.

"Tally then," the old vampire nodded.

"Yeah. So I was wondering if you know where S–" she coughed to mask the slip, "where the General is?"

Petra tried her best to hide the smirk threatening to break free. So it's Sarah already. "The General left for a mission. I am not sure when she will be back."

"Oh."

"Anything in particular that you wanted? Maybe I can help?" She smirked then, but the newborn was studying the floor currently so she didn't see it.

"No no, it's not important," she replied quickly. "Thank you!" she exclaimed and departed. Another night without feeding then. It started to become quite uncomfortable yesterday. Today it started to border on painful, but she had no intentions of trying someone else's blood. She wanted Sarah. With that thought she went to her bed, hoping to sleep it off. And praying to the goddess her General would be back tomorrow.

XXXXXX

She wasn't.

And Tally woke up feeling kind of blue. She wasn't sure why, though. She was hungry and she was missing Sarah, but this was a different feeling altogether. Like there was something missing. Something she should know. She got up with a groan and rubbed her temples.

Rae was looking at her from her own bed with concern. "Baby vamp, you need to eat."

"It's not that," Tally defended. Sure, her fangs were tingling and her throat and stomach burning, but that wasn't the cause of her current mood. Her hunger had nothing to do with it. However, if Sarah didn't come back today she would probably have to feed on someone. "I just…" she sighed, trying to formulate into words the strange sensation somewhere in the back of her mind. "I feel like today is somehow important and I don't know why."

Raelle appeared to be thoughtful for a second, trying to figure out why Tally was feeling this way and after a moment asked, "Isn't it your birthday maybe?"

The redhead smacked her forehead while her eyes widened with realization. "Not mine, but my mom's! You're a gem, Rae."

"Ah, there you go," she smiled. "My mom passed away before I was even sired, but Iza is making extra sure that we celebrate my birthday since I never really did. Dad tried, but he often forgot and it's not like he could bake a cake or something," she bubbled a laugh. "Well anyway, I remember the feeling when I woke up for the first time feeling like you and then realizing it was my birthday. Our human life gets a bit blurry after the bite."

"Yeah," Tally nodded just as Abigail entered their room.

"Look who's back," Rae grinned and wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. "I can practically smell the sex on you."

"I make no apologies," Abigail bit back playfully.

"Who was the lucky guy?" Tally asked with a smile.

"Guys," Abi corrected with a smirk. "Anyways, what's happening here?"

"Rae helped me realize it's my mom's birthday today," Tally replied sheepishly.

"Oh," Abi acknowledged and sat next to Tally to give her a side hug.

"I think I want to go see her," she admitted.

"Do you think that's a good idea, Tals?" Rae asked with a hint of concern.

"Not like actually talk to her, but just to see her, you know."

"I can't go with you today," Abi drawled, obviously saddened by that fact.

"Me neither," Rae sighed, eyes apologetic.

"That's fine, you guys! I didn't expect you to."

"No no, we would totally go, but my mom requested our presence."

"You should be with your mom when you can," she said with a sad smile. "Rae, do you have a second to accompany me to the greenhouse? I want to take mom some flowers, but I don't quite know which are dangerous. The ones I like apparently seem to be!" she bubbled a laugh.

"Sure, Tals," Raelle grinned. "It also differs for humans so good thing you asked me."

"You mean that I'd be okay holding it while people would just drop dead?"

"Something like that," she laughed and Abigail joined.

Tally squealed happily and jumped off the bed to go to the greenhouse. She chose a pretty flower with red petals and then she went to the roof overlooking May's apartment. It wasn't a long journey, but the lack of blood played its part. As vampires went, she was clumsy and didn't have full strength by a long shot. Anacostia would not be pleased with her. Eventually she made it to her destination, though. Even if definitely slower and louder than intended.

It was barely seven pm and her mother wasn't home yet. Tally was sure she would celebrate with her book club at home, but it was strange that she wasn't there yet as the sun usually set after five thirty these days. Never go out after dark, Tally. Never! She should have listened.

Present Tally just turned on her back and laid down, watching the stars appear. There was no moon yet so more were visible even at such an early hour (stars-wise). She smelled the flower and smiled, thinking about Sarah. Because of course she was. The Ancient One was occupying most of her thoughts if not all of them. Her eyes, her smile, her fangs, her blood.

Tally groaned as her stomach made protest. "I know, I know," she apologized to it. "She'll be back soon."

When she heard her mother's voice and the rattling of keys, she turned again to face the apartment. Sure enough, after a while the lights were switched on and the five women made their way to the living room. May opened the window to get some fresh air and thanks to that Tally could hear what they were talking about. Vampiric senses turned out to be quite useful when snooping.

At first they were talking about their mundane life so Tally got to observe her mom properly. There was a new wrinkle on her forehead and her hair had gotten longer. It was touching her shoulders now, but the color wasn't as bright as Tally remembered it. She wore her floral dress saved for special occasions and Tally realized the pattern looked familiar to the flower she currently held in her hand. May laughed at something Corine said and poured everyone a glass of wine. She then sat down and raised her glass in a toast.

May Craven looked happy. And the newborn wasn't entirely sure how to feel about that. She was glad, of course. But at the same time… shouldn't her mom be missing her? At least a little bit? It was their tradition to bake the cake together for either of their birthdays, to go for a walk in the park closest to town, feed the ducklings on the pond and then play a board game or cards at home. Until the evening came and Tally's aunts and May's friends started to join the celebration.

Now it seemed like Tally never even existed.

"May," Corine addressed the woman sipping her wine happily, "I cannot help but notice that Tally is still missing. It's been weeks."

The newborn watched as May's expression turned sour before a single tear rolled down her cheek. "My daughter left me!" she exclaimed dramatically. "She left in the middle of the night, with no more than a note saying that she wished to pursue a new life! In England, of all places."

"Tally left?" Elisabeth widened her eyes in shock.

"Surely your sweet daughter wouldn't leave her aging mother like that?" another woman added.

"She did! Without a single care," May said with a dramatic sigh, quite clearly enjoying the sympathetic pats and words from her friends.

Tally started to see red. She crushed the flower in her grip as her hunger and rage took over.

She. Was. Not. In. England.

And her mother knew that very well. They could have maintained some sort of relationship if May didn't pronounce Tally dead to her. And now her mother didn't even tell her friends the truth. Instead she lied about Tally's departure and neglect.

Her fangs extended, her eyes highlighting all the juicy veins in their bodies and her nails turned into razor sharp claws. She didn't even know she could do that. She was aching to hurt them. It felt like her fangs were pulsing with the every-thought consuming hunger.

"Oh Red, they deserve it," Nicte cooed as she appeared next to Tally. A hot breath on her ear. "You know you want to. Think of all that delicious blood you can taste," she goaded and when Tally turned her head to the source of the foul voice, she was met with black eyes that still brought terrors to her sleep. Nicte cupped her cheek, her smile turning feral. "Your mom would rather have you dead than admit you had become a vampire," she said in a sweet tone that had Tally's spine twisting. Nicte forced her head to look back into the apartment and said, "Don't you want to show them how alive you are? How so very close you are despite what your mommy says? Don't you want to feed?"

Tally shrieked.

It was a sound that could be heard across the town. She wanted all of that, goddess help her. It scared the shit out of her. Her thoughts, her hunger scared her so much that she carelessly jumped down the roof, hurting herself in the process and ran back to Fort Salem. She was faster than mere human, but slower than a well-fed vampire.

Only when she was shaking in the corner of her room did the adrenaline wash out and she registered that she had definitely broken her leg. The lack of blood combined with the height did not play in her favor. It hurt. But not nearly as much as her still extended fangs. And claws digging into her own skin from how tightly she was hugging herself.

Abigail and Raelle both stormed into their room, dropping to their knees upon seeing their sister crouched on the floor in the furthest corner. "Oh baby vamp, what happened?" Rae asked with eyes full of concern as she was hugging her closely.

"I - I don't know," Tally rasped when she found her voice. They sat in silence for a moment, Raelle noticing Tally's leg and exclaiming she will get her a potion later. And that she should eat. At the mention of blood Tally's nose wrinkled and she let out a pained groan. "I wanted to hurt my mom," she said so quietly, tears welling in her eyes. "And her friends too. I suddenly had this overpowering hunger and I wanted to …" she trailed off, not being able to say out loud what was going on inside her head at the moment.

"You experienced some form of bloodlust," Abigail concluded. "Did you …" she trailed off herself. How does one ask their friend if they murdered their mom and everyone around? Tally said she only wanted to hurt them, not that she did, but Abigail heard stories about how powerful bloodlust could get and how easy it was to descend into one. Then she realized that Tally was very clean and her leg was broken. "No, my bad. I can see you didn't because there would be a loooot of blood if you did. And your leg would be healed."

"I wouldn't hurt my mom," Tally gasped in shock.

"I don't think you understand the power of bloodlust, baby vamp," Abigail said carefully. "You're not yourself… you don't even recall the events until it fully dissipates and even then you only have fragments. You pretty much disassociate while the vampire takes over. It's… scary, really."

"I was suddenly so hungry and angry," she admitted. "And Nicte was whispering poison into my ear. I don't even know if she was physically there," she said and looked down. "Before I jumped down the roof I'm not sure whether I wanted to storm my mom's apartment or run back. I distantly knew I broke my leg and I think the pain somewhat helped to ground me? If that makes sense… I barely felt it, but I knew. And so I ran here. Thank the goddess."

"How you managed to come back instead of following your baser instinct and killing all of them is beyond me. That's unheard of, Tally. Such self-control is … well, I'm very proud of you."

"Surely it's not that hard?" she asked with her doe eyes now that the blackness receded significantly. "I'm certain Sarah can do it as well."

The girls exchanged looks before Abigail said carefully, "Alder specifically has a history with bloodlust, Tally… and it's not pretty."

"Oh." Was all that Tally said.

"There's a reason why humans still fear vampires even after the deal. There's a reason why some of them hunt us. If you pay closer attention you will see there are also few of the older vampires who fear the Ancient One. And I mean fear her in the truest sense. She's all docile, almost playing nice for the last few decades, but it wasn't always like that."

"She is nice," Tally countered, her fangs still extended and aching.

"Of course you'd say that. You have a crush on her," Rae chuckled.

"Yeah and the amount of her blood in your system is not helping with your judgment either," Abigail grinned.

"Shut up," Tally said playfully, laughing. Her claws turned back into nails, but her fangs were relentless. She tried to push them back, but to no avail. She groaned in frustration.

"I don't know what you should do now," Abi said in all seriousness. "Obviously you need to eat, but I'm not sure if that's wise so soon after bloodlust. I never experienced it."

"But she didn't descend into bloodlust so maybe she'll be fine?" Rae asked the dark-skinned vampire.

"Or maybe it will trigger it since Tally technically didn't get her share. I don't know."

"I'll just lay down for a moment then. It will be okay. I'm hungry, but at least not overpoweringly so? If that makes sense."

"We'll be just outside if you need anything, okay? We're next to the training grounds."

"Okay," Tally nodded with a smile and finally got up from the floor. Which proved as not such a good idea because of her leg. "Will you get me the potion, Rae? Please?"

"Of course," she nodded. "But then you'll eat when your fangs recede. Don't wait for Alder."

"Yeah." Tally said to ease their worries. She didn't really plan on feeding from someone in the bar, but she wouldn't tell them that. The pain was helping to keep her hunger manageable. She could make it for another day and then maybe Sarah would be back.

They left and Tally groaned when she changed her position on the bed. She realized that while the pain was keeping her hunger manageable, it was stoking it at the same time. Her inner vampire wanted blood to heal the wound while the pain itself was taking the edge off from her hunger. She felt a little bit schizophrenic.

And in her mind, she deserved it. The pain. She wanted to hurt innocent people. She should be in pain.

"Eat," Sarah's voice commanded in her mind.

"Are you back?" She asked, sitting up to sprint towards Sarah's quarters.

"No," Sarah replied and Tally swore she could hear the sigh that followed. She laid back down upon the reply, disappointed. "But you cannot starve."

"I want to say watch me, but that didn't go very well the last time for me," she sent back with a chuckle.

"Didn't it?" Sarah purred.

"True. Come to think of it, it actually went really well."

Sarah hummed. "Go feed, little one."

"When will you be back?"

"Not for a few more days which is why I'm telling you to go find some human."

Tally didn't want to. Goddess, she sooo didn't want to. She was feeling mischievous though. "Or a vampire, right? I can drink from vampires too, can't I?" she grinned, teasing. She made sure to not really think about it because she wouldn't be able to mask the disgust. She didn't want to feed from anyone else besides Sarah, thank you very much.

"Yes." Came the curt reply and Tally swore she could feel the hint of jealousy. What she didn't know was that a glass of whiskey just shattered across the opposite wall from where Sarah sat.

"Hmmm, I don't feel like it," she reassured, smiling. "In fact, I don't feel like biting anyone but you, General."

"Tally," Sarah groaned. She also preferred Tally's fangs exclusively in her flesh, but she could sense that the girl was already suffering from starvation. "I can technically use the Voice. Don't test me."

"You can?" she asked in wonderment which Sarah noticed.

"Yes. It controls your mind which is where we're currently having this conversation, so…" She trailed off. "I don't think it could reach its full potential as if you'd be here, but it would certainly get the job done."

"I would very much like to be there." Her reply was laced with desire and she bit her lip.

Sarah groaned again and fisted the couch. She could teleport, but … This was the perfect opportunity for Tally to feed on someone else. Sarah's own feelings didn't matter; she had to put them aside. Tally wasn't Talia and She. Was. Not. Hers.

"I would like that as well," she purred. "But alas, I am in a warzone and wouldn't risk your safety. Go to the bar and feed."

"You are in a warzone?" she asked and even her telepathic voice trembled from fear for the vampire.

"Yes. The conflict in Germany escalated and I was summoned for counsel about what our kind should do."

"Are you in danger?" She asked and cringed, rolling onto her side of her healthy leg. "Stupid question, of course you are if you're in the middle of a war."

"I am not in open conflict, darling. It's just politics for now."

"Okay," she murmured even in her mind, not liking this one bit.

"I'll be alright," Sarah reassured. "You however won't be if you don't get some blood in your stomach soon."

"I know. My femur is broken so I really should… Abi said I experienced some sort of bloodlust."

"You what?!" Sarah gasped, standing up, ready to teleport right this second.

"The way she described it makes me think it was not the real deal, but … well I wanted to kill and feed …" she trailed off in shame.

"Oh my sweet girl," Sarah cooed, cursing the distance. She wanted to hold Tally and tell her everything was going to be okay. "How many did you hurt?"

"No one actually. I ran back to Fort Salem instead. But I wanted to rip my mom's neck to pieces…"

"You managed to ignore it?" Sarah asked in awe, impressed. Tally caught it through their link and blushed. "That's more than I can say," she admitted. "I am incredibly proud of you, darling." She decided not to venture into the realms in which Talia always managed to calm her down from these episodes. That the only handful of times she managed to not actually descend into bloodlust was thanks to her redhead.

Tally blushed even more upon the praise and bit her lip. She wanted the General here. "I miss you," she sent quietly through the connection and Sarah's heart constricted as she choked back a sob. "Why are you thinking that I only miss your blood?" Tally asked when she caught the direction Sarah's thoughts were taking.

Shit. She didn't mean to send that through the connection and she was fairly certain that she didn't. Could Tally access her thoughts? She was a Knower, it was possible. Not to mention that their souls used to be bonded.

"Sarah?"

"Pardon me, darling. It's very late here," she tried to excuse and not address the question at all. "I miss you too," she admitted the truth.

Tally chuckled bitterly. "My blood, you mean?"

"Not only," she answered honestly and swallowed the lump forming in her throat.

"Then why is it so hard for you to accept that I miss you, General? I know your blood is super potent and all, but I'd want to spend the nights with you even if you were a newborn like me."

"Tally…" she breathed out so softly as a lone tear rolled down her cheek.

"Yeah. Obviously I wouldn't mind a bite because, as you so gracefully pointed out, I'm starving. But really, General, ancient juice or not, I'd stay next to you anyway."

"Tally, you don't know that. The blood–"

"Yes, I do," she replied resolutely, leaving no room for an argument. "I'm a Knower, right?" She asked for show and waited for Sarah's hum in confirmation. "Yeah, so don't argue with me, Sarah."

"Yes, Ma'am," Sarah sent with a chuckle despite feeling so vulnerable. There was something about Tally bossing her around. She has always had a sweet spot for it. Up to a certain degree, of course. "Go feed." Okay, she was not happy about that. Goddess, she already wanted to rip to shreds whoever was graced with Tally's bite, but the girl needed blood.

"Okay," Tally just replied and Sarah decided the word had become criminal. It was bringing back the memories of what happened the last time her newborn said it. Repeatedly. Fervently. She could almost feel Tally's fangs in her neck. Oh how much she wished they'd actually be there. "Just for the record, I don't want to."

Sarah chuckled again. "Just for the record, I don't want you to either." Because now would be the time Tally realized she didn't need her. Now she would have someone else's blood and realize that it was just as good. Well, obviously not the potency, but otherwise it would be enough. The effects of Sarah's blood would be washed away completely by the time she returned too so there would be no pull for Tally towards her. She was sure she just lost the girl. It's for the best. But no matter how many times she repeated this mantra it never felt quite right.

"Okay so neither of us wants that. I'll just wait for you then."

"No, Tally. You'll go to the bar and you'll feed. You have a broken leg," she growled, grateful Tally couldn't hear it. "And you're starving. Go be a good girl and feed."

Tally groaned, but sat up on the bed, ready to leave. "Okay," she just said. "Is it safe, though? Abi was not sure and my fangs refuse to recede after the … you know."

"This is somehow ironic, but you actually need to feed after not descending into bloodlust. Your fangs won't recede until they get blood and the ache will only multiply until it drives you mad. Basically you could descend into another episode and you wouldn't be able to just overcome it."

"OH!" Tally widened her eyes upon the information.

"I know," Sarah said with a sigh. She's had her fair share of those. The first time Talia managed to talk her out of it, she was too scared to bite the redhead and drink. She didn't think she could stop. The ache was crippling. And so she accidentally killed the whole village before Talia managed to snap her out of it. The second time she insisted on feeding on some human first because she wouldn't risk her soulmate's safety. That way she learned that blood was the answer. It was always the answer. "The ache will stop once the blood gets in your system," she reassured. "But if you are afraid, ask your sisters to be there for you."

"I can do that," she said with a grateful smile. "Thank you, General."

"Anytime, darling."

"You be safe out there, okay?"

"I'll do my best," she promised, touched by Tally's concern. It had been a while since anyone cared.

"Good night, Sarah."

"Good night, dearest one."

Sarah hadn't come back for the next twelve days. Twelve excruciatingly long days, in Tally's opinion. She found a man eager to offer his blood on the first day and she had been feeding from him since then. Every other night. Tally tried to last for longer, but he was only a human and therefore had none of the Ancient One's potency. She had to feed every other day and she was already stretching it.

Porter was incredibly willing. He said he would come every day for her, but the thing was that Tally didn't really like his blood. It didn't taste as good as Sarah's. It didn't get her high. Now Tally wasn't in it for the euphoria, but Sarah's blood was sweet. It was singing in tune to Tally's melody. Porter's was… bland, to say the least.

He was a nice guy and she learned quite a lot about his life, but he was not Sarah. Tally was missing her vampire like crazy. They haven't "talked" since that night and she was becoming restless and worried. Now she sat in one of the booths at the bar with Porter opposite from her and she played with the etiquette on her bottle of water absentmindedly.

He offered her his neck and she refused. Again. She finished feeding from his wrist just a moment ago and she could tell he was aroused. Again. It didn't bother her, though. She told him after the first time it happened that the bite was definitely all she was willing to grant him. He accepted, but she could see he hoped that she would change her mind. It was also the reason why she was trying to last as long as possible without eating.

When she tried to find someone else to feed from one evening in order to put some distance between them, he charmed her with his smile and told her that it would break his heart. And Tally didn't want to break anyone's heart, did she.

He was saying something about taking her out to the movies some day when she felt it. She used her Sight (that had maybe only about half the power after his blood, thank you very much) and was pleased to learn that she was indeed correct. She squeaked happily, getting up with the speed of light and excusing herself in the process. Leaving him gaping after her in the booth.

She ran towards Sarah's quarters and didn't bother knocking. "You're back!" Tally beamed as she barged into the bedroom without an invitation. Not that Sarah wouldn't let her in…

"Hello, darling," Sarah smiled widely, displaying her pointed fangs as Tally licked her lips upon the sight. They were not extended, but it was obvious she had fangs instead of teeth on the first sight. "How have you been?" she asked when she managed to peel her eyes off the redhead. She teleported exactly five seconds ago; she was still holding her travel bag.

"Miserable," Tally said with a dramatic sigh.

"I'm sure it couldn't have been that bad?" Sarah chuckled and went to her en-suite bathroom to get rid of the clothes she had been wearing for days. "Make yourself at home, I desperately need a shower."

"Hmm, let's see," Tally said as she went to the couch and sat down, trying desperately not to think about the fact that Sarah was probably naked in the next room. "Bloodlust, a broken leg, pretty sure I saw Nicte, the guy I'm currently feeding from probably has a teeny tiny crush on me and you know, no you the whole time so I'd say it was pretty miserable."

Has a crush on me. Has a crush on me. Has a crush on me.

Sarah growled like a wounded animal. Her fangs extended and her claws came out. She was ready for murder. Fuck.

"You okay?" Tally asked upon hearing the noise even over the running water.

No. "Yes, dear!" she shouted back and tried to calm her breathing. This was what she wanted. Tally finally fed on someone else. Yey. Victory. She growled again. "You said you saw Nicte?" She asked when she fully registered the rest of what Tally said.

"Maybe," she replied quietly, but Sarah heard it. "I think she was there when the episode started. Everything was a little bit blurry though so I can't say for sure."

Sarah fixed her jaw and cursed when her fangs pierced her tongue. Her claws receded, but fangs were a different topic. She thought she made herself clear when it came to Tally, but apparently not. She would corner Nicte, but that woman was very hard to catch if she didn't want to be found. And she definitely didn't want to be now.

"You okay?" Tally asked again when she was met with silence.

"Sorry, I was rinsing the shampoo out of my hair," she apologized. And technically it was true. "I will deal with Nicte. Sorry you had to see her."

"Apologizing for something that is out of your control again?" Tally asked in a playful tone and Sarah smiled as she stopped the shower. "How was Germany?"

"Exhausting," she sighed as she was drying her hair with a towel.

"You were okay, though? What's the outcome?" Tally asked and Sarah realized that the girl was just asking to know what Sarah had been up to. She didn't have an agenda. It didn't concern her at all other than Sarah being there. Her heart swelled.

"I was okay," she replied with a smile. She didn't enjoy feeding on her Biddies and didn't enjoy the politics, but she was okay. The only threat to her life was eliminated shortly. By her own hands. "We decided not to interfere with human's affairs. They don't know the exact amount of power we wield and I don't deem it wise to show them."

"Why?"

"Because humans kill what they fear. Obsessively." With that she emerged from the bathroom, wearing only her black Versace bathrobe and Tally's jaw dropped to the floor. She successfully forgot everything she wanted to say. Hell, she forgot how to breathe.

Thankfully she was sitting because she was quite certain her knees would simply give out upon the sight. Sarah's long black hair was still wet, cascading around the sharp jaw down to her lower back. Probably down to her ass really. Tally couldn't tell.

So much skin. Cleavage and legs and forearms and please-goddess-tell-me-she-wears-something-underneath… "Earth to Tally?" Sarah smirked. "I asked you a question."

"You did?" Tally asked absentmindedly, her brain short-circuiting completely because Sarah now sat next to her. Very close. She smelled of soap and shampoo and herself and oh goddess Tally wanted to let her do unspeakable things to her.

Get a grip, Tally. She doesn't want to do any of that to you.

She took a calming breath and peeled her eyes off Sarah's crossed legs. She decided to study closely the huge clock next to the liquor cabinet. She never paid it any attention and it was a pity because it was a very nice clock! Just don't meet her eyes. Because first of all, Tally was sure she would drown in the depths of the ocean eyes and second of all, Sarah would be undoubtedly able to tell what Tally was thinking. So, no eye contact. Ever. Just to be sure.

"I don't like the smell of foreign blood on you," the Ancient One admitted after she let herself sniff the air and Tally's scent now that she was so close to her. Her golden energy and smell of sunlight was tainted. She still smelled heavenly, but the smell of someone else's blood other than hers was irritating her nostrils. She wanted this, yes. And she had been feeding on Biddies herself during her absence, but it didn't mean she was happy about it.

Tally averted her eyes from the wooden clock to look at her upon the admission. She still didn't quite meet her eyes, though. "Well, I didn't like it," she admitted. "His blood is tasteless." She then finally looked directly to azure eyes and said in all seriousness, "I can't really smell someone else's blood on you, but I See it. It's like your aura is… wrong."

They stared at each other for a long moment, both fighting the magnetic pull they had between them. They were both convinced it was one sided. She doesn't want you like that. "You want to feed?" Sarah asked at last. Because realistically, why else would Tally be here, right.

"I just ate, but you can have my blood."

Sarah's eyes immediately landed on her neck and Tally shivered. She never saw such hunger in Sarah Alder's silver blue eyes. It was like she wanted to devour Tally. Her body and soul. And the goddess knew that the newborn would let her. In fact, she craved it. Just when she was about to beg for it, Sarah averted her eyes and took Tally's forearm in her hand instead.

She as well already ate, but her Biddies weren't Tally, were they. You fucking addict.

"Are you sure?" she asked even as she was already stroking Tally's forearm, noticing the goosebumps erupting in her wake.

"Of course," the newborn replied with a smile, dimples sinking in her cheeks. Sarah wanted to kiss each one. She refrained.

"You're so precious," she purred and planted a ghost-like kiss on the place she planned to devour. She wanted to bury her head in Tally's neck and sink her fangs there, but … no, she would not entertain this fantasy. She couldn't.

Sarah shifted slightly on the couch to face Tally better and the redhead found out that Sarah did not in fact wear anything under the sad excuse for clothing. The belt that was supposed to hold it tightly together was not doing its job very well. Tally could see pretty much everything as the bathrobe opened. Nipples peaking from under the fluffy material and abs. Goddess, those abs again. The bathrobe did a poor job on the lower part of Sarah's body too. She could see way more thighs than what was safe for her sanity.

Do not cross your legs, Tally. Do not! She doesn't think of you this way. You're not worthy of her.

Sarah was observing her with a smirk. She knew she was aesthetically pleasing. She had eyes after all and since vampires could actually be seen in a mirror, she knew very well that her muscular yet feminine body was desirable. "May I?" the Ancient One asked with a cocky expression, kissing the wrist again to indicate her intentions. "If you're done with drooling, of course."

"Oh shut up!" Tally exclaimed, blushing at being caught. She knew she wasn't very subtle, but that was because Sarah's bathrobe wasn't subtle! It wasn't her fault. "I can just strip out of my dress too, you know! And I'd still be more covered than you are."

Sarah chuckled and then purred, "I wouldn't recommend that, little one."

"Why not?"

"Because I might not be able to control myself," she husked and bit down.

The second those sinful fangs sank into her skin all coherent thoughts left Tally's head. She moaned and fisted the edge of the couch, her clit twitching. Goddess, she almost forgot what it was like being bitten by Sarah. She turned pliant; her head completely free of any thoughts but the sensation of the bite. She felt every gulp and she whimpered with every swallow. She tangled her hand in black mane, holding the Ancient One close. Urging her to bite even deeper.

It was safe to say that Sarah was gone. Once the sweetest poison poured in her mouth, she closed her eyes and just let the sensation wash over her. She didn't even hold back what she was sending through the bite. Considering how Tally was whimpering and by the smell of it got aroused, she really let it flow freely.

Sarah already had more than enough, but this was her personal brand of heroin and she was a goner. A fucking addict, the voice in her head so graciously provided. So she didn't stop only until she heard, "I feel lightheaded," Tally admitted as her grip in Sarah's hair loosened.

Of course you drank too much. Of fucking course. You just cannot help yourself, can you.

She couldn't help but have one more gulp despite the fact she actually fed prior to her departure. Only then she retreated from the delicious wrist. And what a sight she must have been. Eyes pitch black, fangs extended, mouth still bloodied.

"You're beautiful," Tally whispered with a smile before she closed her eyes, the blood loss catching up with her.

Sarah groaned. What a leader she was. Almost sucking dry the only soul she actually cared about. Where did the 'we need distance' go? Oh right, they did the distance thing just now, but Sarah couldn't keep her fangs in her pants so to speak.

"Tally, you need to drink," she said and opened her own wrist with her fangs before she placed it on Tally's lips. Somewhere in the back of her mind the voice said that this was completely unnecessary because the girl would be fine after a proper nap. She would wake up in the morning all rested and without any trouble. She was a vampire after all. But Sarah decided to ignore that voice. And tried to convince it that she didn't do this because she couldn't stand the smell of someone else's blood on her sweet girl.

Sarah sat on her throne when she heard it.

Tally was still with Anacostia on the other side of the Fort so this guy, this cockroach, was forced to ask for her at the bar. Sarah's eyes immediately shot to his back and she appeared behind the bar before he could even blink.

"And why do you need Tally?" She asked in a sickly sweet tone as the barmaid went to tend to the customers on the other side, knowing better than to disrupt whatever this was.

"She hadn't bitten me in over five days!" he exclaimed, clearly frustrated. "She must be hungry."

"I can reassure you that she is not," Sarah drawled, her grip on self-control slipping. She could smell Tally's scent on him. It was very mild already, barely a whisper of it, but it was there. And Sarah was not a fan. "If that's all of your concerns I suggest you leave."

"Listen lady, I don't know who you are, but just please get Tally? Tell her that Porter wants to see her."

"Yes, you certainly don't know who I am," she chuckled bitterly, hands gripping the desk under the bar. "If you want to be bitten then wait over there for someone to do so. If not, get out of my bar."

"I don't want just someone to bite me. I want Tally!" He grew downright agitated in a span of a few seconds. The Ancient One looked him over once more. His hands were shaking, his jaws working, eyes distant. Sarah scrunched her nose in disgust. It wouldn't be the first case of a vampire's bite junkie, but usually they didn't have a specific vampire to obsess over. Usually they just wanted the bite from whoever was willing to bite them. Normally he would get a ban from the bar and nightclub and that would be it, but this guy was also hyper fixated on Tally. Well, that wouldn't do.

"Come," Sarah said when she made up her mind. "I'll take you to Tally," she lied and rounded the bar. He followed willingly, enthusiastically even. Her fangs extended and claws came out the second they were out of sight from prying eyes.

Maybe she would let him see Tally before his very last breath.

Hmmm, no. She would not be entertaining a cockroach's whims.

A/N: this was a morally very questionable murder and I was like: do I want to go down that road? ... clearly you can see the answer. Hopefully ur behind me in this decision ? we had a discussion in the fb group about it and u were all happy about possessive/jealous Sarah, but still...

let me know your thoughts! :) Either here, on FB Talder Land! or Discord
