The Elemental Turnabout

Chapter 1

**Author's Notes: Hey everyone! I know that I've been gone for a while, but there is a good reason this time. I'm currently having some computer issues, as my power supply went out not too long ago. However, as of right now, I don't know if I lost all my data that I had. I don't want to make new chapters when I get my pc back, as I don't know if I will keep my old data, or if I need a new SSD and lose my data.

As a result, don't be expecting a new chapter for my first two stories until further notice. Like mentioned before, they aren't going to be discontinued, but they are going to be put on hiatus until further notice, as I don't want to publish something that I've already worked on unless I know I have it, and it's in my possession, OR if it's not available anymore, in which case I'll just rewrite the chapter.

Going on to this story, because I don't want to use the other stories, I decided to make this story, and as you can tell, this is going to be a crossover between Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, and Naruto. This is my first crossover FanFiction, so I don't know how I will do. However, I hope you will enjoy!

Let me know what you think of the plot so far, and if you like how the story might turn out. Another thing to note is that this takes place during the first Sasuke vs Naruto in the Valley of the end, meaning Naruto is around 13 years old.

I want to throw in a fun fact, buuut I decided not to. Other than that, I have nothing else to say. Hope you enjoy this chapter, and like I said, let me know how I did for my first crossover fanfiction!**

Naruto had finally caught up to Sasuke in the Valley of the End. What he didn't expect was for Sasuke to refuse to go back to the Leaf. He outright abandoned them, and was now trying to kill HIM. Despite this, Naruto still wanted to bring him back, just because he still saw the good that was in Sasuke. He was hurting on the inside, and he had to bring it out before he could cheer him up.

However, it wasn't looking good. He had already been impaled twice by the Chidori, and now relying on the Kyuubi's youki. To make matters worse, Sasuke went into the 2nd stage of his curse mark! 'How do I combat this? I can rush in, but he'd just take control with that boosted Sharingan… I could wait until he strikes, but then what? If I don't react in time, he'd have tons of free shots…' He then noticed Sasuke start to move his left hand onto his right wrist.

'Oh, HELL no, I'm not letting you strike me for a THIRD TIME!' Naruto screamed in his mind, while charging up a Rasengan, not even noticing that he didn't need another clone to form the jutsu. They both leaped at each other, their jutsus in their hands, ready to pierce the other. However, when the techniques collided, a bright light shone from the impact, blinding both ninjas, and without knowing it, Naruto wouldn't be in the Elemental Nations when they woke up.

Dahlia was breathing heavily from carrying Doug's body from a far distance. She was about to leave, but saw someone she had just seen left: Phoenix Wright. Right before she could say anything though, something else she didn't expect to see was a boy, who looked to be around 12 or 13, and badly injured at that, falling onto her boyfriend.

To make matters even worse, he was unconscious. 'What the hell happened? Why did a boy fall from the sky?' She wondered, absently looking at the sky. She then was puzzled when she found that the walkway was too wide for a body to fall on top of someone in the middle of it from either side. 'It doesn't matter, I need to get rid of this bottle.' She thought. Right as soon as she planted the bottle inside of Doug's hand, she fled the scene as fast as she could.

A few seconds later, Phoenix stirred and tried getting up with a grunt.

"Wh-What the hell fell on me?" Phoenix said. However, Right as soon as he stood, people who were from the Pharmacology department of Ivy University. Behind them were policemen who were called in to investigate why the power suddenly went out. When they arrived to the scene, They were met with a sight most would not forget.

"HALT! YOU ARE BEING PLACED UNDER ARREST UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!" One policeman shouted at Phoenix, who immediately held his hands up, about to start crying while trying to talk to the policeman, saying that he didn't do it, although it fell on deaf ears.

Other policemen were filing around the scene trying to figure out what was going on when he noticed a boy, no more than 12 or 13 years old, laying deathly still with grievous amounts of injuries. He checked for a pulse and got a faint one.

"HEY, WE GOT A SURVIVOR OVER HERE! HE NEEDS TO GET TO THE HOSPITAL ASAP!" He yelled, getting the other's attention. They immediately called for an ambulance, and while that was going on, the policeman handling Phoenix finally had enough and said to bring it up in court.

Even though Naruto was sure they tied, he didn't know if he was alive or dead. However, seeing the sewer around him, he knew which one was the answer. He started walking down the corridors with practiced ease, until he got to the cage.

"Alright, Kyuubi. What is it that you want this time?" Naruto asked impatiently.

"Always with that attitude. I never called you here in the first place. Why would you think that I would want to talk with such a lowly creature as yourself?" Kyuubi shot back.

"Must we do this right now? I just want to go back and teach that Teme a lesson he won't forget."

"If that's what you want, you won't be able to get it. We aren't in the Elemental Nations anymore. Whatever happened when your bijuu powered Rasengan and his Curse mark powered Chidori collided transported you to a different universe entirely. Not even a similar one that we know." Kyuubi just replied while starting to lay down. "Now leave, I don't want to get sick from looking at you anymore than I already have."

Naruto just sunk to the ground. He didn't know he was transported to a completely different universe. A completely different world. Naruto then got up and thought about returning to his body, the way to exit the mindscape. However, he was not ready for the amount of pain that came with that, and almost passed out again. However, he pushed through and saw a sight that he was not expecting.

'Do all hospitals have plain boring white walls? Or just the ones that I've visited?' Naruto thought idly. He then looked around the room and saw a few machines that didn't look familiar at all… He then looked towards the door and felt a presence behind the door.

Mia was pretty nervous. Nope, she was about to have a mental breakdown. She was standing next to her boss, Marvin Grossberg, which was easily a reason to be a bit nervous. However, this was her second time defending in a murder case, which added onto her nervousness. To make matters even worse, however, she was just about to talk to the boy that was heavily injured at the crime scene.

This boy was an unknown. He had no identification, no schools recognized him, and to make matters even worse, he was only around the age of her younger sister! To be in that condition, someone must have really wanted to kill him, or he walked right in front of somebody trying to kill someone.

She eventually worked up the courage to open the door, and to their shock, the boy in question was already staring at them with curious eyes. He had no fear for some reason, like he was used to the pain, but looking closer, both Mia and Marvin were shocked to see that there were no severe marks on him at all, like he had just randomly lost all forms of severe injuries.

"Uh… H-Hello?" Both of them snapped out of their disbelief when they heard his voice. Mia immediately stood straight up like a plank and started the talk.

"Oh, Sorry about that, uh…" She trailed off realizing that she didn't even know the kid's name.

"Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki."

"Ah, thank you kind Naruto. Tell me, do you know anything about the murder that took place by Ivy University?" She asked, but then was even more puzzled when the boy just shook his head.

"No, I'm sorry. I don't remember anything about an Ivy University. Is that were I was found? And did you say murder?!" The Uzumaki asked. He knew that any murders in civilian terms were counted as illegal, especially against one of the same village. Of course, this was from his old reality, where there were civilians and then the ninjas.

"Yes, there was a murder over by Ivy University. The suspect, even though I have a feeling it's someone entirely different, is a student that goes there by the name Phoenix Wright. Does any of this ring a bell to you?" She decided to tell a base of the situation. After all, if he had something like amnesia, then he should be able to remember the events from vague clues.

Alas it was not to be. "Listen…" Naruto left his words hang, as he didn't know their names.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Mia Fey, and this is my boss Marvin Grossberg." Mia said. She knew it was pointless to try to see if he could recall anything. However, she still had to know what he was doing there.

"Nice to meet you, Mia, Marvin. As I was saying earlier, I can't remember something I don't know. I have photographic memory, to the point that it's practically impossible for me to have amnesia. The reason why I don't remember is because I'm not from here." Naruto dropped the bomb on them.

Mia's eyes widened. "Hmmm… what do you mean, young Uzumaki?" Marvin asked.

"I mean what I say. I come from a completely different reality. One in which Ninjas battle Ninjas. I have no clue if I have my chakra with me or not, or if I can use Chakra at all in this reality, but I can try if you think that would help me prove it."

Before Marvin could even say anything, Mia jumped to her feet. "Could you? It definitely would end up counting as evidence towards you being from a different universe entirely." She said.

Naruto nodded, and put his fingers in a cross shape. They were about to ask what he was doing when he suddenly said something that would change their views of him forever.

"SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!" And just like that, another version of Naruto appeared next to him, albeit a bit wobbly, due to injuries, but other than that, a functional clone. Both Mia and Marvin were slackjawed, which Naruto expected. He then turned to his clone.

"Hey, can you see if we can form the Rasengan? I want to see if I can still use it, even though we don't really need it anymore." The clone nodded, which got the attention of Mia and Marvin, both of which were starting to get curious once more about what this kid could do. They saw the Naruto standing up spin his hand around the other's in a spherical shape. Once again, right as soon as they were about to speak, they saw something they wouldn't forget.

A paleish-blue string like material, something that just called out to Mia for whatever reason, started forming in his hand. It was rotating extremely violently, and right as soon as Mia was getting close, he deactivated the technique. Right as she asked why he got rid of it, he spoke up.

"I probably should've warned you before I did this, but that thing can grind it's way through trees like its nothing. I actually did you a favor there." Marvin and Mia went wide-eyed at that information. Something that powerful quite literally in the palm of your hands… And that's what a ninja was from his world?

"Nope, only me and Pervy-Sage knows that jutsu. Then Sasuke-teme has the chidori, which is similar, but made out of lightning and loses its chakra manipulation in turn for its chakra transformation. Then he also has the Great Fireball Jutsu, which is a technique where the user breathes out the fire after manipulating the chakra in their lungs and transforming it into fire chakra. There are also Wind jutsus, like Great Breakthrough, which I saw during the Chunin Exams from one of the Sand's Ninja Temari. In any case, Ninjas have their own techniques that anyone can use, unless it's a bloodline."

Mia perked at that last line. "Bloodline?"

"Yep, There are completely different types of bloodlines. There are the Ocular bloodlines, or Dojutsus, then there are elemental bloodlines, like Ice or Wood release, which is a combination of 2 different elements to make a completely new element, something that takes centuries of practice for someone without the bloodline to pull off, and that's with getting started, and having two different chakra natures that work similar to each other.

There are members of the Kurama clan, which are unique in the sense that they have such great prowess at genjutsu that they can make illusions come into reality. And then you have the things like smarts that can still be passed down through generations. For the Uzumaki Clan, not only do they have the Adamantine Chains…" Naruto paused to call one out. He didn't have the chakra for more. That is something that he was wanting to work on…

They were amazed at what they saw… a chain came right out of his body…

"We also have faster regeneration abilities, longer lifespans, and can learn the art of sealing, otherwise known as Fuinjutsu a lot easier than most. Konoha's Seal master who's not an Uzumaki is at a fuinjutsu level of 10. The highest an Uzumaki has gotten would be around level 158. Seals can do a variety of things, like make an explosive tag, or seal an entire demon into a tea kettle or a human. It's the most complex art, and Uzumakis have the benefit of learning it easier."

"We are going to need more time to process this, but in the meantime, be aware that the prosecution will come by. Don't hide anything, just don't say anything unless they ask about a certain topic. Such as your origin" Naruto nodded after Mia finished speaking.

"Say, when this trial is over and done with, would you like to go out with me and my sister? You two are around the same age, so it'd be nice for you to have someone you can get along with while you're here." Mia said after a few moments of silence.

"Sure! Just a question: Where are we going to have our food: better yet, what food are we getting?"

"Oh, just some ramen from this joint down the street-" She lost her train of thought when she saw Naruto's face light up at the mention of Ramen…

"I'm definitely coming after hearing that we're having the food of the gods after the trial!" At that statement Mia AND Grossburg sweat-dropped.

'Guess him and Maya have similar tastes… Who would've guessed?'

**Author's Notes: I was really wanting to make this longer, but seeing how it's already 3:24 AM at the time I'm writing this, I decided to call it wraps for the chapter. Again, let me know how it is, as I want to know for future chapters. I started this as just a half-baked idea, but now I actually have a plot for the story, so I'm going to go off of that, and write this story as far as I can.

In any case, I haven't decided yet if there is going to be a pairing, but if there is, then I'm definitely having a pairing between Naruto and Maya. I mean, they both Canonically have very similar personalities, and in this fanfiction, are literally months apart in age. It would definitely work out.

Naruto knows the Ademantine Chains, but he can't properly control them in battle, as it takes up too much chakra to even just activate, hence why he never used it in the battle against Sasuke. (Yes, I know I made it up, but I already decided that's how this fanfiction would go. Naruto doesn't really need to train in this world, as it's already pretty peaceful, and there isn't any ninjas to harm his precious people.
