It has now been 3 months since Lucy made it back from Havana. With her new boyfriend Ricky. Her mother was extremely upset that she brought back a Cuban man with her. But nothing she said or did seemed to matter. Lucy and Ricky seemed to be madly in love with each other.

Mrs. McGillicuddy: Good morning sweetie

Lucy: Good morning mother

Mrs. McGillicuddy: What do you have planned for today?

Lucy: Well Ricky's taken me out for a lunch date after work. I'm so excited!!!

Mrs. McGillicuddy: I don't know why with all the eligible men here. You had to go pick a man from Cuba.

Lucy: Well I happen to have very strong feelings for this man Mother. You're just going to have to accept it. (Just then the doorbell rang) Oh that must be Ricky he is coming to walk me to work. Gotta run honey love you.

Lucy ran and grabbed her purse before heading out the door as soon as she opened the door she jumped right in to Ricky's arms.

Ricky: Hay baby you look amazing (he said with stars in his eyes)

Lucy: Oh thank you handsome

Ricky: I missed you so much last night.

Lucy: You did??

Ricky: Yess darling. (He said holding on to her tight)

Lucy: Aww I missed you too. (They kissed each other)

Just then Lucy mom open the door to interrupt them.

Mrs. McGillicuddy: Oh Lucy Bobby Richardson just called for you.

Lucy: (rolled her eyes) Tell him I'm not home!

Mrs.McGillicuddy: But that would be lying

Lucy: Well I'm leaving come on Ricky. (She said pulling him by the hand)

They headed down the street.

Ricky: Who was she talking about?

Lucy: Oh some man she thinks I should be dating.

Ricky: But your already dating someone ME!!

Lucy: Of course baby you have nothing to worry about.

Ricky: Yes I do your mother doesn't like me.

Lucy: What don't be crazy she adores you.

Ricky: Then why doesn't she ever speak to me.

Lucy: She's hard of hearing.

Ricky: No she's not! She doesn't like me. She doesn't think I'm good enough for you.

Lucy: Look Ricky I don't care what she says I'm sticking with you.

Ricky: (smiled) I promise baby you won't regret it. (They kissed for a moment) Don't go to work stay with me today. I can take you any place you wanna go.

Lucy: Ricky I would love to spend the day with you but my mom is short on the rent and she needs that money.

Ricky: How much is she short?

Lucy: $55.00

Ricky went in his pocket and pulled out some money.

Lucy: Oh no Ricky I couldn't.

Ricky: Your my woman right? (Lucy smiled) Let me take care of you okay.

Lucy: Okay

Ricky: Come on I'm taking you to the fair.

Lucy: Oh Ricky I better tell them I'm not coming.

Ricky: Okay come on

They walked to the little Cafe that Lucy's aunt owned. Once Lucy told her aunt she wasn't helping out today. Her aunt was more then understanding. In fact she was very thrilled that Lucy wasn't coming in.

Lucy: I can't believe she didn't beg me to stay.

Ricky: She probably wasn't busy.

Lucy: No I have to be honest with you I'm a little of a clutz.

Ricky: (laughing) Oh I know remember when I surprised you up there the first time.

Lucy: Oh yes I dropped everything I was holding the moment I saw you. She was so mad at me that day and I was so embarrassed.

Ricky: (laughing) It was hilarious.

Lucy: Oh shut up

Ricky: Honey you was just nervous.

Lucy: No I'm a clutz it's fine.

Ricky: Well I think you're perfect. It's never a dull moment with you. It's always something exciting going on. And I love being a long for the ride.

Lucy: Awe you make me feel so special.

Ricky: Sweet heart you are... (he kissed her)

Not long after they finally made it to the little fair that was in town. They had a ball and shared a milkshake and cotton candy. While enjoying each other's company.

Lucy had never felt so strongly about a man before like this. This was very serious rather her mom liked it or not this was definitely the man Lucy wanted to marry. She had no doubt about it.

Walking Lucy home

Ricky: I had such a wonderful time with you tonight I hate for it to end.

Lucy: I know I wish you could come up with me . But my mom is home.

Ricky: She's gotta accept me sooner or later. Because I don't plan on going anywhere.

Lucy: (Smiled) Good because I want you to stay around!

Ricky: Maybe tomorrow we can go to the movies.

Lucy: What do you want to see?

Ricky: You!

Lucy: (blushes) Oh you sure know how to put it on a girl.

Ricky: It's not hard with a face like that.

Lucy: (she blushes again) Stop it!

Ricky: Okay if you really want me too...

Lucy: No do it again (they both laughed)

Ricky: Baby I'm just crazy about you. (He said wrapping his arms around her waist)

Lucy: I'm crazy about you to Ricky. I can't wait to become your wife. I mean ummm

Lucy got very nervous and embarrassed. She had been thinking alot about marriage. But Ricky hadn't said anything about it. What if she was overthinking. She didn't wanna scare Ricky off. But Ricky just smiled at the thought.

Ricky: So you wanna marry me?

Lucy: Do you wanna marry me?

Ricky: Oh no I asked you first.

Lucy: Well isn't that the end game here?

Ricky: (laughed) Well I suppose so. Well here you are.

Lucy: I had a lovely time with you today.

Ricky: Me too we should do it again tomorrow.

Lucy: Don't you have to work?

Ricky: Well you know I'm singing at this club down the street I get off at 1.

Lucy: 1 in the morning?

Ricky: Yes, I wish you could come see me perform.

Lucy: I would love that!! But my mom would be upset if I stayed out so late. Plus that is very late.

Ricky: Yes but it's good money. Once I get enough I'm going to buy you the biggest ring I can find and you can have whatever you want!

A big smile appears on Lucy's face. She jumped in his arms and gave him a big kiss. The kiss was so deep Ricky couldn't help but pin her up against the house. While he took full advantage of the moment. But just then Lucy's mom was peeking out the window and started beating on the window for him to get off of her. She ran and opened the door.

Mrs. McGillicuddy: YOU GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY DAUGHTER!!

Lucy: (pushing Ricky back) MOTHER!!!

Mrs. McGillicuddy: I told you dear if a man can't wait he isn't for you.

Ricky: We wasn't doing anything!

Lucy: Yeah mom we was just kissing.

Mrs. McGillicuddy: Lucy his hands slowly but surely was working their way up your dress.

Ricky: WELL SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND!!

Lucy: Ricky stop yelling at her! Mom nothing was happening honestly.

Mrs. McGillicuddy: I don't wanna hear anymore come on get in this house.

Lucy: I will see you tomorrow Ricky.

Mrs. McGillicuddy: Not if I can help it Bobby Richardson is coming to take you on a Lunch date tomorrow!!

Ricky and Lucy: WHAT!!!

Lucy: Mom I'm not going out with no Bobby Richardson!!! I'm dating Ricky I LOVE HIM!!

Mrs.McGillicuddy: Oh hush you don't know what love is!!! Now get on in that house. (They go in and she slammed the door)

Inside the house Lucy and her mom have it out. It all ended with Lucy locking herself away in her room. She cried herself to sleep but was awaken later that night around 1:30am. Someone was tapping on her window. After she rubbed her eyes she looked to find Ricky. He had just gotten off from singing at the club.

Lucy: (whispering )Ricky what are you doing here?

Ricky: (climbing in) I missed you. (They kissed and hugged each other)

Lucy: Come on Now you just go on to sleep.

Ricky: Okay, I love you Lucy

Lucy: I love you too

She pulled the covers back and they both climbed in to bed. Ricky laid his head on her chest while she rubbed his hair.
