Days Later
"Why are we here?" Baxter asked.
"The two of you love this place. The food the games. The pictures on the wall. I thought the three of us could have some father/son bonding time."
"I know it's you're time with you're mom but she was okay with this." Lucas replied. As they took seats around the table and were given menus. And getting their drink orders taken.
"There is more going on here. It's mom time with us and you let Lorena stay. What are we really doing?" Beau questioned. Looking to his father.
Lucas was relieved when the waiter came over to take food orders.
The three picked what they wanted and handed over their menus.
"Okay fine. Yes i wanted to spend quality time with my sons but there is more to it. I know about how the two of you behaved when you were supposed to meet Felix."
"I understand that me moving out. The relationship falling apart was really hard for the two of you watch."
"But you're mom put up with alot from me and efforts were made to save this family and at the time i didn't want that." Lucas explained.
"She gave up on you. She threw you away. Just like her parents did to her. I hear things.' Beau replied.
"You're mom's lack of relationship with her parents is a sensitive topic that i'm not going to talk about."
"She has a right to move on. To have a relationship if she wants."
"What goes on in our personal lives is for her and I to figure out for ourselves." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"But we want you and momma back together." Baxter replied.
"I wasn't the husband i should of been. That's on me."
"I want the both of you to stop taking out you're feelings about this on you're mom. You want someone to blame to for how things are."
"Blame me." Lucas proclaimed.
"Dad we want to leave mom's. And move in with you." Beau announced.
Lucas was stunned. As the food was brought to the table.
