The next morning the crew moved over to the Merry once again and quickly took notice of its repairs. While the others wondered who repaired Merry, Luna casted a side eye to the figure head. Chopper happily lunched himself at Zoro's face before asking the scolding Nami if she wasn't curious who fixed the ship.
"Who cares? If they wreck it that would be another thing, but it's fixed. What do you want to track them down and thank them?"
Usopp and Chopper were down in the crow boat to get Merry off the altar. Luna wasn't happy knowing what he was planning but couldn't do much in her state. Robin and her watched them fail at using the crow boat, so Usopp moved to his 'back up plan.' It didn't take long for a sky shark to bite, soon after Merry was back into the water.
Once they reconvened Luna pinched Usopp similarly to how she does to Luffy but without the stretching.
"If I see you use Chopper as 'bait' again, you won't have to worry about your dreams cause I'll make your life a living nightmare. Got it?"
Usopp could only nod scared as the woman released him, picked Chopper up and moved to the group discussed the plan for each group.
Luna was with the explorer's group, or mainly she was going to be with Robin as the boys kept getting distracted. Luffy stopped Zoro from walking into the forest just to also going the wrong way. Chopper was sent off by Robin to get them back on track. She looked over at Luna, who leaned against a root.
"Are you sure you want to come with us? In your condition..."
Luna cut the woman off, "no it's best I go with you all. Luffy is earlobes counter, me not so much. If I get attacked by him Luffy will be the only one who can touch me after." She took at drink of her water, "plus being in the woods is helping since they produce oxygen."
Robin nodded at the woman's reasoning. Luffy returned with a stick before following behind Robin. Chopper was following behind him enamored by the piece of wood. After complementing Luffy's stick Chopper looked for his own. Luna and Zoro followed at the end as the swordsman scoffed, "what's up with sticks?"
Luna chuckled, "don't tell me you never enjoyed having a stick on a hike? Even I've indulged in the simplistic joy it brought."
Zoro just gave her a blank stare as Chopper spoke up, "you know I thought this forest would be scarier, but so far it's been nice and peaceful."
Luna saw the snake moving behind the trees as the others talked. Chopper was the next to take notice of the snake, but he shrugged it off while keeping an eye on it. It wasn't long before the others saw it, when it raised up to block their path.
Everyone ran from the snake, Luffy laughing the entire way. Zoro turned to attack it as Robin and Luna scaled a tree to escape. The snake went to attack Luffy only to bite the tree behind him, this allowed everyone to see the snake's venom was similar to an acid. The massive snake launched an attack against everyone, but Luna went seemingly unnoticed by the creature. After they lost the beast the women noticed that the men of their group were missing.
"We're back on the path how did they get separated?" Robin questioned
Luna sighed, "let's continue. Zoro and Luffy have horrible senses of direction but always show up when needed. Chopper will probably get there before even us with his instincts."
Robin before the two woman continued the path into the ruins. Luna walked behind Robin thinking to herself how much longer they would be up here. She couldn't wait to return to the blue sea. Her eyes watched as Robin as she studied the ruins, walking further inward.
The ground shook as the factions fought, Luna stood back allowing Robin to take in the structures around her. Suddenly one of the goat guys jumped out and tried attacking Robin, who quickly used her devil fruit. She picked up the broken piece of the ruin, "such a lack of respect."
"It's sad really, these ruins were here for so long. You would think holy people would respect them."
Robin looked at the woman, "so this god, you called him 'earlobes' correct?"
Luna shivered with a grimace remember the man, "yeah his name's Enel. He has a Lightning devil fruit, and he under the delusion that makes him a god. His creepiest feature is his long earlobes. Ugh!" She shivered again, "just thinking about it makes me shutter."
"He does sound insufferable." Robin commented. Luna nodded as she looked off towards the sound of more explosions, "Luffy's been swallowed by the snake by now. Let's continue."
Luna followed after Robin as she pieced together the history of the ruins, when they were interrupted by Yama. The man attacked the pair only for them to dodge as he destroying the ruins, angering Robin. He was able to land a punch on Robin as she tried in vain to protect the ruins. While Robin was down the man went for Luna who skillfully dodged.
"Enel told us to watch out for you after you took out Shura."
Luna let a look of confusion cross her face while placing a finger on her cheek, "was that the weakling who attacked Chopper?"
The man yelled as he tried attacking her again, Robin was able to get up again.
"Luna!" The woman's eyes met hers with a nod the two rushed to lead him out of the city. There was still damage as he rushed after them.
"How long are you gonna keep running?!"
Robin and Luna reached the outskirts of the city, Robin ready to fight. Luna moved out of her way ready to jump in if needed. He jumped to deliver an attack only for Robin to fling him into a tree. Robin grabbed her arm from the strain the large man put on them. He recovered before trying to attack again, Robin was able to turn his dials against him. This was able to take him out as Robin moved to lecture him. The man tried one last attack only for Robin to finish with a clutch.
They soon reached the city's center, entering the tunnel of the leading in further. They searched around awhile as Robin thought back on her choices up until now. Moving to the temple in the center next to 'Big Jack', moving inside Robin found that the temple seemed smaller than others. Reaching down she felt the cloud floor before calling to Luna.
"I think there's more underneath," Luna nodded and moved to help Robin to cut into the clouds. It wasn't long before they came upon an opening. The two women jumped down as Robin used her devil fruit to throw down her bag and hat. They explored the tunnel that seemed to lead out, once seeing light at the end Robin ran for it.
"Robin Wait!" Using her water she made a wall stopping Robin from running off a drop. After removing the wall the two looked in awe at the city that was hidden beneath the clouds. They safely made their way to the ground level and soon came upon the Poneglyph. While Robin read the Poneglyph speaking of the golden bell, Luna went go looking for Chopper while Robin continued her research.
She quickly moved herself up 'Big Jack,' knowing Chopper would soon be encountering the priest Ohm. She broke through the cloud cover just in time to see Chopper set off Ohm's trap.
"CHOPPER!" She rushed over to the doctor, sliding to a stop next to him she moved to close the large cut on his chest. The water seemed to seep into his wound as it closed, the glowing faded. Chopper was unconscious, but alive. A sigh left her as her eyes darkened as they scanned for the priest. She no longer cared about this foolish war or game Enel was playing. Standing with Chopper in her arms she moved to where the man was, the scary aura surrounding her. Her eyes landed on the man as the others started to reach them. Setting Chopper down she surrounded him in a water shield, keeping his safe from anymore attacks. Zoro suddenly fell from the sky in front of Luna. He looked around with his back to Luna seeing the men ready to fight.
Luna's voice rang out, "Zoro!"
The man turned to the woman, he jerked back at first. She looked furious and was making her way towards him.
"Luna? What's going on-" he was cut off when his eyes locked on Chopper setting behind her unconscious and in a water ball. He followed to where her eyes were locked on, seeing the priest Ohm.
A deadly calm voice rang out, "he's mine."
This had the remaining men look in confusion but Zoro understood. Zoro couldn't stop the smirk spreading across his face as he looked at Ohm giving a low whistle. "Damn you just signed your death warrant. Well nothing I can do now." Zoro shrugged, "he's all yours Luna."
Ohm began to rant at them, that was until Luna appeared before him. Her leg slamming into his face, he was shot back into a full roll off his dog. He finished his roll as his glasses fell apart and he spat out blood. Luna landed quietly her hair hiding her eyes, water surrounded her in rings.
The trained dog moved to attack only for her cold voice rang out, "Holy heel."
The dog settled into a laying position behind the woman. Holding her hand out water gathered in a familiar shape to Zoro, a glow blinded the others as a scythe appeared. Her fingers gripped the staff tightly, as she moved to the fallen Ohm. He pushed himself up into a sitting position grasping his sword. He slashed it at her only for the water to block it. She appeared in front of him in the next moment swiftly she slashed at him. He was barely able to dodge only for a cut to still appear on his chest. He fell back before falling to his knees grasping his chest.
"How?" He questioned before he fell forward with a scream. "W-WHAT'S GOING ON?!"
A disturbing smirk crossed her face as she glared down her nose at him, "that would be salt water you're feeling."
She walked towards him as she continued, "My blade is made of the 'blue sea' water." She slid her scythe under his chin forcing him to look at her. "Hurts doesn't it? Trust me we're just getting started I'm no where near done with you yet."
She used her scythe to push the man back into the wall behind him, "I'll have to apologize to our archaeologist. I'm sadly going to cause damage to this city."
He was suddenly slammed through the wall behind him. The two other men watched in horror as she followed him through. Zoro smirked before turning to the men.
"She'll take care of him. We can focus on the snake."
Luna heard the goat guys and the other Shandian showed up, shocked by the scene before them. Looking over her shoulder she called to the dog, "Holy protect Chopper."
While she was distracted Ohm activated his trap. The dome was erected around them, Luna looked around unimpressed. She turned back to Ohm, "did I say you could do that?"
The man tried to activate another trap near her to give him sometime to fall back but once again it was blocked by the water surrounding her. A woman's voice called from outside the dome gaining the Shandian leader's attention.
Luna knew that meant Enel was about to show up, not wanting him to know of her powers she turned to Ohm. "I unfortunately need to end this. Count yourself lucky." In the next second Luna used her scythe to slice through the man. He fell to the ground dead from her attack. She dissipated her scythe before moving back to the group watching as the two Shandian yell to each other. The woman a warning about Enel, and the leader telling her to escape.
Suddenly in a flash of lightning, Enel appeared behind the Shandian woman. Horror filled the woman's face when she sensed the 'god' behind her. She yelled the warning to her leader as she turned and shot Enel two times before he struck her with lightning. Enel smirked at the leader before he disappeared, to met up with Robin to find out about the gold bell.
Luna moved next to the leader as she crouched down. The man watched her as he saw water moving towards his fallen friend. Remembering what her water did earlier he moved to stop her only for Zoro to block him.
"Move Blue Sea dweller!"
"Wyper! Look!" The Shandian leader looked over to Laki, the water had encased her and began to glow. The burns Laki suffered slowly faded as fresh skin replaced it, his eyes moved back to the blue sea woman only to see her own eyes holding the same glow. Just as quickly as it began the glow ended and the water moved back to the woman.
With a sigh Luna grabbed her head, Zoro handed over his water to her and she downed it greedily. Wyper stood there staring at the woman as she wiped her mouth, "she's still alive. I healed the electrical burns, she should be fine."
"Why?"
Luna resisted the urge to smack him, "we have the same enemy. It would be wise to work together for our similar goal."
Zoro helped the woman up as the snake started to become a problem as Luffy and the others tried to escape. As the men moved to attack the snake while Luna moved back to Chopper and the dog, Holy.
"You should escape while he's distracted. You did a good job protecting Chopper." She patted his muzzle as the dog nodded and left the upper ruins. Luna saw as Nami and Gan Fall escaped the snake. It was then that Enel shot a large bolt of lightning up 'Big Jack' dispersing the cloud ground from under them. Luna used her water to cushion under her and Chopper. Luna heard Zoro call out to her as they fell, using a water whip she grabbed the swordsman before pulling him over to her and Chopper. They landed without an issue before a piece of rock fell on top of them, Zoro covered the pair. It took a bit of time for the collapsing to finish before Zoro pushed the rock off them. Luna, Chopper, and Zoro met back up with Robin.
Luna sat Chopper in a place she knew wouldn't get attacked. Nami heard them when the snake got electrocuted by Enel. Luna shivered as she saw Enel's face, hiding behind Zoro. Nami explained that Luffy and a little girl was still inside the snake.
"They'll be fine. Luffy won't let anything happen to the girl."
Wyper launched an attack on Enel only for the 'god' to land on a ball cloud and scold him. He admitted this whole thing was a game to him and was solely for his entertainment. Luna couldn't stop her eyes roll as they shifted to the snake. She really needed Luffy to get out sooner rather than later. Luna moved with the others standing in between Robin and Zoro. Each of them denied Enel when he implored them to fight or kill one another. The five of them readied to attack Enel.
"You're the only one dying today."
"You dare to threaten me? Listen to yourselves," he said before laughing. "I must admit I'm quite impressed, but you have no idea what you're up against." He said flexing his power with his staff. "Even the five of you together don't stand a chance against me. You can not comprehend the extent of my powers and what I'm truly capable of, Look at you; an elderly buffoon wanting peace, a warrior who single mindedly seeks his homeland, and thieves from the blue sea who are only concerned with treasures, and than there's you."
Enel's eyes landed on Luna who glared back, Gan Fall interrupted Enel from speaking again.
"I refuse to stand here and listen to such nonsense, now tell me where the divine warriors are! And what exactly is your goal here today?"
"Why an ascension, my old friend."
Luna tuned out the men while using her haki to check the area, Nami was still behind the ruins with Chopper who was still unconscious. Luffy and the child haven't made it out of the snake who was still alive just stunned.
Luna snapped back as Gan Fall launched his attack on the lightning user. She watched as the old man was electrified, knowing he would survive she relocated her focus. Enel aimed his hand at the four standing imploring them to join his crazy ass.
"And what if we refuse?" Robin asked. When Enel questioned why she would want to stay here Robin continued. "I don't doubt that you could destroy all of Upper Yard in one fails soop, but if you decide to destroy all this won't you also be destroying something that you cherish?"
"Do you mean the golden bell?"
"Yes that's right. The golden bell."
He confirmed that he knew where the golden bell was and that he was going to obtain it shortly. Pointing at Robin he fired up an attack, "there's nothing in this world I hate more than a cold, calculating woman."
"ROBIN!" Right before the attack made contact with the archaeologist, Luna pushed her taking the hit herself. As she fell to the ground Robin moved to catch her only to be yelled at by Zoro.
"Don't touch her!" Robin and Nami watched as their companion began to convulse on the ground as Zoro rushed over stabbing his sword through her hand. Backing away the lightning racing through her body exited out through the sword. Once it died down Zoro quickly removed the weapon from her hand. Her body fell still as Enel watched on with a bored displeasure.
"I was planning on taking her with me. What a shame?"
A loud strange ring was what awoke her, she sat up holding her head. Her body still felt the residual shocks, she looked up seeing Luffy yelling his declaration. A smile crossed her lips as she listened to the bell chimed. The celebration party started soon after that. The Shandians were happy to have the lost homeland back and were getting along nicely with the Skypeians. Luna watched her brother and friends enjoy themselves, a smile on her lips.
It wasn't until early morning, when Luffy made his move. Luna decided to stay with Robin having already snuck away and stored some gold away. Their yelling woke everyone up. Luna heard that the Shandians found their bell and followed after with Robin. Watching them pull the bell up was painful so Luna moved to the edge of the island. While the Shandians and Skypians pulled she used her water to push it up the rest of the way. As the people looked in awe at the bell and the Poneglyph, Robin moved through the crowd to stand next to Luna as she read it. That shocked the elder as the two women moved closer.
"Y-you can actually read those ancient characters?"
Luna looked back at the elder, "Robin is one of the only people left that can."
"It mentions Poseidon. An ancient weapon, even mentions its whereabouts."
As Robin turned to walk away Luna called out to her, "Robin that's not all."
Gan Fall and Robin spoke about Roger's appearance, and told the elder about what the Poneglyph meant. The elder cried in joy about the fighting being over. Luna and Robin left them moving to Gan Fall. Commemorating about Luffy and Roger sharing the 'D' middle initial. The elder offered them the bell piece that fell off, moving back towards the crew. The two saw their crew freaking out and running. Luna chuckled, "looks like they're ready to go."
Robin turned back with a laugh as they asked them if they wanted the gold, "I guess we don't." With that Luna and Robin ran after their crew who were running in fear.
"Sanji Did We Lose Them?!" Usopp yelled as they ran through the forest. Sanji, who had been running backwards to look at Luna and Robin gives the all clear.
"We made it there's Nami and Connis."
Sanji turned to see the other women only to now run into something. Robin and Luna just looked back at his fallen form before Robin called out to him. "You okay?"
They sailed to Cloud End to start their descent back to the blue sea. Everyone reminisce about how fun they had up here, Connis and her father gave their goodbye. Suddenly the South bird appeared and attacked Luffy for almost forgetting him.
Luna readied herself for the free fall as the others were terrified by it, before the octopus balloon grabbed them. Everyone calmed down before a familiar ring filled the air.
Luffy had gone to bounce on the octopus until Sanji noticed that it was shrinking. Shortly after they started to free fall, Usopp used his dials to give the Merry some more air. The Merry slowed for a short time until the octopus deflated. Everyone held on as they hit the sea, or the bay of the Marine base they landed in.
"Uh guys we've got a problem." Everyone looked over to Luna just as several spot lights turned on, and a siren rang out.
