I wake before my alarm, rain pattering down on the roof. Either that, or Plagg's snoring levels were getting a bit loud. I was restless during the night, so at least this morning, its easier to roll out of my nice warm bed.

I shower, loving the warm feeling of the water, getting squeaky clean. I dress simply today, a gray hoodie and jeans, but hey, on rainy days for me comfy clothes are a must. When I head back into my main room, I walk over to the window, letting the fresh air and stray droplets caress over my face.

Should I transform and do a little solo patrol? Before I even know I'm doing it, the black leather is on and I leap up and into the rainy world.

Paris is a different world in the rain, muffled with smoke coming from the chimneys keeping all who live below warm. I'm thankful for my built-in umbrella in my stick, and I stare out into the rain.

Then, out of nowhere, another figure appears on the rooftop, and there's only person who can run like me on the rooftops. Ladybug, it seems is also doing a morning patrol.

She perches herself on another roof, and unless she was specifically looking for me, I don't think she knows I'm here. I would never push her into taking off her mask before she was ready, but someday the mask needs to come off. In my case its on, and I think of ways that could work, easy and gentle methods with heaping helpings of encouragement and kisses, if that's what helps.

My stomach rumbles and I head home for home, wondering if I can make something at home. Sure, I could do a delivery, but I wish I could cook…..

I'm working on some emails when I hear a tap, tap at my window and a smile spreads across my face as Ladybug with raindrops in her hair, sits on my windowsill.

"Ladybug!" I hurry over to the window and help her down, finding her hair is sopping wet. "Your drenched, how long were you out in the rain?" Okay, I know I saw her, but how long she was patrolling I don't know. "Long enough to take a shower," she tries to joke, but her teeth are chattering.

"Go take a shower before you catch cold. I'll set some things out for you and meet you in the kitchen." Ladybug doesn't argue, just heads towards the bathroom. Poor girl, must be freezing. I'll make the coffee first thing.

"Thanks, these sweats are comfy," Ladybug comes in ten minutes later and I laugh as she waddles into the kitchen. "Love the look," I walk over to her. "Only lets get some of these sleeves rolled up so you don't have to do the shuffle all day."

Once that's all fixed, I give her morning kiss. I start to pull away but she tugs me back. "No," she pouts. "Okay, one more kiss before I faint away from hunger." she gives me one last peck then heads over to the fridge. "Do you how to cook?" she raises an eyebrow. Oh, even with a raised brow she makes my heart thumping and I blush. "No."

Ladybug laughs at my expression taking a package of eggs out of the fridge. "You can crack the eggs then beat them, while I get the pan hot."

We joke around and she finds a bag of frozen croissants in the fridge. "Oh, the coffee! I completely forgot!" Ladybug makes a mock gasping sound. "No coffee! Oh, Adrien, how will I survive?" she pretends to faint into me. I catch her easily, and our eyes lock as I help her up.

The levity of the moment fades away, and she chews on her lip and I wonder what she is thinking. "What are you thinking about?" I whisper, using two of my fingers to tilt her head to meet my eyes. "I want…." she whispers. "I want to take off the mask, but I don't know how."

I know what she means and I stroke her cheek with my thumb. She nestles into my touch, opening her eyes which are a now a deep blue. "We can always start slow. A minute, even thirty seconds and I'd keep my eyes closed until your ready." "That doesn't sound so bad. But could we eat and maybe go for coffee first?"

Its fun making breakfast together, and I wonder if I'm seeing a glimpse into my future.

"Walking home under an umbrella is much cozier then sitting on a rooftop alone," Ladybug sighs happily as we walk arm and arm towards the bakery.

Sabine seems to be excited about something as we step inside and she rushes up to us. "Ladybug, this came for you when you were out! It looks like a fancy invitation and I'm dying of curiosity!"

I laugh silently to myself. I know that feeling all to feel. Ladybug opens the pink envelope carefully.

"Dear Ladybug,

You are cordially invited to the Fashion Event of The Year,

as Paris knows you have style!

Bring a date your bring a friend,

and we'll see you on the red carpet soon!

Ladybug looks at me. "You wanna be my date, Adrien?" I give her a little bow. "It would be my pleasure."

"Oh, honey!" Sabine hugs Ladybug quickly. "Can I help you with your hair and makeup?" Ladybug grins. "Of course!"

Safe away from parent ears, I sit on the chaise while Ladybug paces the floor. "Uh-oh, your not backing out are you, Little Bug?"

Ladybug shakes her head. "No, but Adrien, how do we snoop around in Corvus's crow nest, and attend the party? If we're not there, people are bound to be suspicious." "That were breaking and entering a potential bad guys home?"

A pillow is chucked at me. "No! We're both famous you and I!" she slumps down on the chaise next to me. "Sometimes I wish I just a normal girl with a normal life."

I wish for that too sometimes, but life doesn't always work that way. Then I get a fabulous idea that even Corvus or his cronies won't be able to pass up.
