The Elemental Turnabout
Turnabout Memories
**Author's Notes: SO, it's been quite a few months since my last upload to The Fox and his Flowers, and it's been well over a year since I posted this story. I'm sorry for all the time in-between posting chapters and going through a hiatus. I'm still going to be classed as On Hiatus for the moment, as I don't know when I will get the chance to start writing again. That, and I'm starting to actually think about how I want this story to end, how I want the cases to go through, and so much more. With that said, I can't garuntee that I'll keep posting too much more in recent times, although I can garuntee that I will finish these stories, I don't know when they'll be finished.
For those who didn't know what to think about Naruto just showing his arsenal to complete strangers, you also have to understand a couple things as to what my thought process was (although it still may not make complete sense now looking back, it made sense at the time, especially with the path I was originally wanting) when writing the chapter. In the first moments that Naruto was owoken, he was met with 2 people he didn't know. However, as Kyuubi (as Naruto knows him as, at least at this moment in time) told him he was in a completely different world, he knew that he had to have at least some people he could trust. What better way to show your trust, than to show your skills?
Again, looking back, I don't fully agree with this method, but I can't really go back and change that now, since it is a bit of an error on my end. I would rather accept the error and move on rather than go back and erase that error. I may go back to fix grammar mistakes, but not the errors or plotholes, since the less plotholes there are, the better my storytelling is getting, so it's pretty much me seeing how far I've come when it comes to storytelling.
I want to state that I'm going to be combining the Game and Anime together, so if things are not exactly the same in the game, odds are I took things out of the Anime, and vise versa. I more than likely am going to include some actual unique cases into the story as well, as it wouldn't be a true crossover without any new cases.
Also, for those waiting for another chapter for The Fox and his Flowers, or The Children of Prophecy, they are being held off for now since I'm still struggling to find out what exactly my idea was for them. Now, even though my last chapter was fairly well received, I am not really that happy with how the conversations have turned out. I am trying to make the fight scene actually feel intuitive, so right now I'm looking through the entire Shippuden Akatsuki fight scenes to find out exactly what kind of fighting style I'm looking for, so that I have their fighting style, but not their exact same fights, if that makes sense.
Now, before we begin this chapter, I re-read the first chapter to see just what I was thinking when writing it, and had a general idea as to how I originally wanted the case to go. However, I'm actually thinking of throwing that idea out the window, so to speak. The pairing is definitely still going to be NaruMaya, so for those who thought I was changing my mind on that, fear not.
With all that out of the way, let's get started with Chapter 2!**

Hickfield Clinic
"Okay, Naruto. I'll come and see you in a couple days, alright?" Mia asked as Naruto slumped back into the bed.
"Alright, Mia. Just wish I could get out of here." He said, before mumbling quietly, although not quiet enough for Mia to overhear, which caused her to stifle a small laugh that almost escaped, before closing the door. As Naruto started to relax in the bed, an almost impossible task given how uncomfortable the bed is, he heard a couple knocks before saying "Come in".
The person who walked in was a bit on the short side, with a dark green suit, most of his upper hair above his forehead, and square-framed glasses. He then noticed that Naruto was awake, which prompted the following question: "Hello, boy. What's your name?"
This one sentence already caused Naruto to start twitching his eyebrows, but he calmed himself down and said "I'm Naruto Uzumaki."
"Nice to meet you properly, Naruto. I'm Winston Payne, Prosecutor. I just wanted to ask you some questions pertaining to your injuries and circumstances of the scene of the murder. Do you recall what happened to you that day?" The newly named Winston asked.
"Honestly, I can't. I don't recall too much as to what happened, all I can say is that I know who I am, but not where I am. Speaking of, what is the name of this hospital?"
"Oh, this? This is the Hickfield Clinic. I must say, the reports say that you were heavily injured, but I don't see an injury on your person. Do you know why?" Winston said, genuinely curious.
"Unfortunately, I do not. I've had the ability to recover from injuries for as long as I can remember, but I don't know what causes it." Naruto responded. While he may have given the answers to Mia, he wasn't just going to give it out to just everyone that he was different from all the rest, that would be bound for trouble.
"I… I see. I'm sorry for distrupting your recovery, although I will say that the staff here are already starting on the forms for your release. I wish you well, young Naruto." Prosecutor Payne said, before closing the door, causing Naruto to slump in his bed once more. 'Man, that was stressful. I didn't think I'd have to deal with the prosecutor of the case right after Mia and Marvin had left.' Naruto was then pulled into a deep sleep for the rest of the day.

Grossberg Law Offices
Music Change ~ PW:AA – Marvin Grossberg ~ Old Age, Regret, Retribution
After walking into Grossberg's Law Office, Mia turned to Grossberg. "Mr. Grossberg, I wish to ask if I can take over the case trial that comes in a couple of days." She abruptly said while turning to face Grossberg, causing him to jump in shock from the sudden change in attitude.
"I don't know, Mia. I mean, not just anyone would take a murder trial as their first case. I know-" Marvin was interrupted when Mia somehow got right in front of Grossberg and grappled him.
"Trust me, Mr. Grossberg. I can handle this, just let me take over the case!" Mia said a bit loud, and sounding a little desperate. Grossberg started getting a little blue in the face.
"M-Mia, please let go of my lapels, I can't breathe!" Marvin said, finally able to speak.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Grossberg, I don't know what's come over me!" Mia said, profusely apologizing. Marvin was still taking deep breaths, before finally calming his breath.
"Well, if it truly means that much that you take this case, I, Marvin Grossberg, shall see you triumph on this monumental step into the legal world! Especially since it would be your first time!" Mia then spoke up.
"Uhm.. This would be my second case." She corrected hesitantly.
"Nonetheless, I'll be attending the trial still as your counsel just to guide you through it." Grossberg replied immediately.
"Right! Thanks, Mr. Grossberg! I won't let you down!" Mia said confidently. Grossberg smiled at her.
"That's the confidence I like to see! We don't have enough time to investigate the crime scene, unfortunately, so we have to be extra careful to see what the prosecution is up to. Be on your game tomorrow, Mia." Grossberg stated with extreme seriousness. Mia nodded.
"You got it, Mr. Grossberg, sir! I'll see you tomorrow over in the Defendant's Lobby." Mia said , before turning around and leaving the room. "So, you'll be the witness for tomorrow… Won't you?
Dahlia Hawthorne."

Grossberg Law Offices
Grossberg was about to leave his office to head towards the District Court when someone knocked on his door. He opened the door and was about to say that he was unable to take any cases at the moment since he was heading out for a different case when he noticed who exactly was at the door. "Naruto?" Marvin said finally.
"Hi, Marvin. You have no idea how long I was trying to find either you or Mia, they finally let me out and I don't really know where to go." Naruto said, before shuddering. "I swear that doctor is crazy. I don't even know how he managed to get that job in the first place…" He said, deadpanning.
"I see… Well, I'm about to head for Mia's second trial. If you want, you can be a part of the jury, see exactly how court is handled here." Marvin said after a little pause, and Naruto put on a thinking face.
"I don't really have anything else to do, so why not? Sounds a little boring but it's at least something to do." Naruto said, causing Marvin to laugh. "What's so funny?" Naruto said, a little irate.
"Nothing, my boy. It's just that with a greenhorn like Mia for the defense, we are bound to be on the edge of our seats." Marvin said, causing Naruto to raise an eyebrow.
"How so?" Naruto asked, causing Marvin to laugh once more.
"Oh, you're bound to find out." Marvin replied before walking out the room. Naruto stared for a couple seconds before realizing he was leaving him.
"HEY, WAIT UP!"

District Court
Defendant Lobby No. 3
Music Change
Mia was nervous. Extremely nervous. She didn't know what she was thinking, attempting to go back in court after THAT disaster of a trial. She took a deep breath, and tried to relax.
'My first trial was a traumatizing experience. I never thought I would step into another court case ever again.' She then reached for her attorney's badge. 'But I can't keep running away. I must keep pushing on, to find the truth and help those in need of saving.' Mia gained a firm look to her, becoming slightly more prepared for the case.
"Ah-HHHHEM!"
"Aah!" Mia jumped while turning around just to see Grossberg there. "O-Oh, Mr. Grossberg, I didn't see you there." She tried her best to recover, but it was in vain.
"Mia, you need to calm down. You can't go in there all jumpy or they will start to be suspicious of you." He said.
"I am calm, Mr. Grossberg, see, perfectly calm!" She said before realizing she was holding onto his lapels, and starting to cut off his oxygen. "O-Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Grossberg, I don't know what came over me." She said while bowing. She then looked over the case file and autopsy report while Grossberg was talking, to make sure she had all the details ready for court.
"Nevertheless, I was shocked to see you request this case, but I, Marvin Grossberg vow to be your rock!" He said, and was about to say more before a door opened. "And here he is! This is Phoenix Wright, the man who's freedom you'll be fighting for today." Grossberg said, with Mia looking up from the documents, to see a young adult in a very… pink sweater and a heart with the word RYU sewn on the sweater.
Phoenix walked up to Mia. "Thanks so much for taking my case. I know you can clear my name! I'll help you any way I can! *Cough* *Cough* *Sneeze*" Mia didn't know how to react to that, so she did what first came to her mind.
"Yes, Of course, Mr. Wry."
"…" Dead silence for a couple seconds. "Oh, but my name, its Wright, like the Flying Brothers." Before he could react…
"I misspoke, Mr. Wright! It won't happen again, I swear on my life I won't fail you!" She then realizes she started manhandling Wright, and takes a step back. "F-Forgive me!" 'Relax Mia, you aren't the one on trial. Mr. Wright has all the reason to be nervous, there shouldn't be a reason for you to be nervous though. Snap out of it, Mia!' As she was starting to refocus her mind, she notices a small bottle around Phoenix's neck. 'That's a strange necklace…' Before she could ask anything about it, a bailiff walked into the defendant's lobby.
"Mrs. Fey, the trial is about to begin."
"Alright, Bailiff. I'm on my way. Come on, Phoenix, let's head into the courtroom." Mia said.
"Okay!" He replied cheerfully.
With Naruto
April 4, 9:35 AM
District Courthouse – Courtroom No. 2
Grossberg and Naruto arrived at the courthouse with 40 minutes to spare, allowing Grossberg to show Naruto how to navigate the courthouse to get to where the gallery sits. Naruto then looks up to Grossberg.
"Thanks, Marvin! I just hope Mia can keep her nerves in check, I feel that's what'll hold her back today." Naruto said, causing Marvin to consider what he knows.
"I don't have the facts all in place, I just feel something with the current evidence at hand points to Phoenix being the killer." Grossberg stated, before shaking his head. "I think Mia knows that, but she might be seeing something that I'm missing. It's one of the main reasons she decided to take this case. I'll be putting my faith in her, as long as she doesn't get desperate, it should be fine." He finished, with Naruto nodding.
"I guess I'll see you later, when you are with Mia in court. Hopefully, it's a fair trial." Naruto said, with Grossberg only nodding before walking off.
"Take Care, Naruto." And with that, Grossberg was gone, walking down a different hall. Naruto took a deep breath and walked through the door, into the courthouse gallery stand. He took a seat close to the actual courtroom, and before he could resist, he felt his subconscious being tugged into his mind.
Naruto's Mindscape
Naruto opened his eyes to the ever lasting sewer that was his mindscape. He looked towards the cage with the kanji for 'SEAL'.
"What's up with you, Kyuubi? I thought you didn't want to see me any more than you had to. What's changed?" Naruto said, and a single red eye slowly opened and locked onto Naruto.
"You really are an idiot, you know that? Why would you tell COMPLETE STRANGERS ABOUT YOU?! YOU DON'T KNOW THEM, DON'T KNOW THEIR PERSONALITIES. ARE YOU INSANE?" Kyuubi said, and Naruto just sat there and waited.
"You done? It's not like I'm telling everyone about this. Only those two. They were the first ones to check in on me. I can't really hide anything from the first ones to check in. I'm an unknown. I'd have the higher-ups constantly observing me. I still need to get some form of identification, though… this'll be an interesting challenge…" Naruto said, with Kyuubi letting out a mocking laugh.
"You aren't as idiotic as you seem, Mongrel. Maybe you can, but the moment you slip up…" The threat left unsaid was as loud as a thousand words.
"You won't break free from me that easily, you damn fox! I do have a question for you, though." Naruto declared, and before the Kyuubi could say anything…
"Do you have a name?" Naruto asked, and first, shock filled Kyuubi's face, before utter rage replaced it.
"YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF LEARNING MY NAME, MONGREL! OUT OF MY SIGHT!" Kyuubi roared, catapulting Naruto out of his mindscape and back into the real world, where the trial was just about to take place, which was indicated by the sound of a Gavel being slammed down.
"Order please. This Court is hearby in session to hear the murder trial of Mr. Phoenix Wright!"
**Author's Notes: AND That's a wrap for this chapter. I wanted to make it a little longer, but I think this was a good ending point for the chapter at least. Hopefully you all enjoyed the chapter, and I also hope you all look forward to the next one! With that said, there's not much more I need to talk about since I expressed everything in the beginning of the chapter. I'll see you in the next chapter!
