Chapter 10

[Amanda's POV]

Amanda was no stranger to anger, but what she felt in that moment was unlike anything she had ever experienced. The way he callously dismissed Kaya and then charged at her ignited a fury within her that she knew she couldn't control. She usually gets this triggered only when someone comments about her age. For this guy, however, she wouldn't hold back.

"Lion Spring!"

Kuro was on the move, his hands clasped. He bounded off the shore's cliffsides and spun like a drill. While doing so, he proclaimed, "I'll make you suffer." What he wasn't expecting to see was a monster grabbing his arms. While struggling in her clasp, you could see a glint in Kuro's eyes.

"Feline: Prey Mark!" Kuro started to shake violently, reminiscent of a cat held by its torso. He slid out of his cat claws and vanished out of sight, Confusing Monster Girl.

"Where did you go? He couldn't ha-" Amanda was cut off when a cut formed that twisted along her arm and leg.

"I don't need those claws to deal damage. Your fate has already been set. Once my claws touch you, you're as good as prey." Kuro said while a sound started to make itself known. A terrible growl came from the forest. What emerged was a lion and tiger. They appeared to have an ethereal glow. Amanda had been struck with genuine danger when they lunged at her. Their paws left behind red glowing prints as they weaved between each other.

'What the hell. This must be-' Before she could finish thinking, Kuro spoke. "I ate the Beast Beast Fruit model: Predator. With this power, I can make any predator out of anything my claws contact. If that happens to be a person's blood, my beast gains formidable strength."

Kuro's voice quivered with rage as he uttered the ominous words, "It's too late now; you'll suffer." He was acutely aware that the beast's formidable strength would render everyone helpless. With a sense of impending doom resting in the air, he shouted, "Grand Denial Blood Bask!" The air crackled with tension as he cut into himself.

[Mark's POV]

Mark was observing everything from the sky, waiting to help. When he spotted Kuro sneaking behind Amanda. He flew down with great speed to confront him.

"Where do you think you're going?" Mark said after he backhanded him, and he was launched back in front of Amanda."I've got your back."

"Thanks, Mark," she paused. "If he wants to play dirty, I can too." Amanda stomped the ground so hard that large cracks formed. She yelled, "Monster Stomp." the lion and tiger halted their movement, and Kuro stumbled and got stuck.

"You can deal with the lion and tiger, though." Amanda uttererd. Mark cringed at the thought of having to deal with more animals again, even if these ones looked utterly monstrous, but he complied.

"Come get me, you two furballs," Mark said, flying at the big ass cats that apparently got their shit together. The lion and tiger duo seemed to be blundering in their attempts to attack Mark. He guessed they were still stunned by the attack Amanda had pulled off prior. "You just make this too easy," Mark said, but the tiger landed a blow not even a second later. Much to Mark's stupefaction, it drew blood. The only people who managed to hurt him in his hero career so far had been Battle Beast, His father, and a recent viltrumite who threatened his former girlfriend named, Annisa. This caught him off guard enough that the lion stuck from behind. Luckily for him, Mark recalling those memories made him upset, which, in turn, made him get serious.

"Shit, I need to get serious. I can't afford to die now," with a new burst of adrenaline, he repeatedly struck the beasts with a flurry of punches that went so fast his fist started to combust.

"Astro Collisions," Mark shouted out loud, his punches going quicker and quicker until the flames that formed on his hands started to turn blue. When that assault finally stopped, the lion and tiger were barely standing. Mark pulled back for the final attack. He Hollard, " Blue Star Cannon!" releasing one final attack, quickly blowing them back into nothingness. The battle pushed Mark past his limits, and he was tired. He looked in Amanda's direction and said, "I think you got it from here, right. Man, I can't believe all that shouting worked. Now I can understand why Luffy does it." jokingly before promptly passing out face first.

[Samson POV]

Samson was okay with taking care of the grunts. In fact, he found it somewhat therapeutic. But that didn't mean the guy never got tired of tossing fools left and right without rhyme or reason. He would have to bring up these topics to his crew later, along with some other things.

"Dammit, how many more of these jokers am I going to have to face?" Samson intoned, not particularly pleased or displeased with the current fight. He just wanted it to be over with then, eventually seeing the last of their numbers, he shouted, "Fortress Grapple." Lifting up the Earth beneath the feet of the last of the enemies. He tosses them into their ship and heads towards his waiting crew mates.

[Amanda's POV]

With Kuro headed her way, Amanda barreled out of the way as fast as her current form would allow. It wasn't fast at all. She hadn't expected him to change into a beast himself. Kuro completely caught her off her game. At this point, she regretted not taking Mark's help because this whole fight could have been over with his help. A shout could then be heard behind her.

When Luffy shouted, "Hey, Monster, Need Help?!" She didn't hesitate to take a helping hand. With a shout of "Gum Gum Pistol." she saw a rubber fist pounding into the beast man's face, sending him reeling back in pain.

"You've done enough. I'll take it from here."

Tired and untransformed, Amanda walked with a wobble towards Rudy, who had just arrived back on the shore with the others.

[Luffy's POV]

Luffy was watching his crew and Amanda fight and must admit that he was impressed with what he saw. He noticed Amanda was getting tired, so he took over. The beast-man Kuro ended up outpacing him. He even ran on all fours along the top of his arm, scratching it up in the process.

"You rubber buffoon, what makes you think you can take me? Kuro asked.

Luffy respond with confidence, "I know I can. I've faced bigger animals than you back where I grew up. Compared to that, you are just a piece of meat I can't eat. I don't have time for that." Kuro was now evading Luffys hits until he got caught by his front paws. With even more resolve after answering the question, he decided this would be the final attack.

Luffy yelled, "Gum Gum Arc Catapult." He somersaulted in the air with Kuro and then launched him hard into the ground. He then stomped on his torso, further making an indentation.

The onlookers marveled at the sight of Kuro having been defeated and all cheered in unison. All of them were glad this came to a conclusion.
