Memories Of Her-Ch 23
The next morning after breakfast the BAU team minus Derek and Penelope headed off to California, before he left Hotch gave Penelope a list of things he needed for her to look for and to check on and it was about half an hour after the jet took off that she was talking to her team of crime fighters giving them the information that they'd asked for.
When she walked through the house she smiled when she saw Fran, Sarah and Desi playing with the baby and Derek napping peacefully on the couch, he was still healing and needed as much rest as possible since he still wasn't released to go back to work yet.
She walked over and kissed her son on the forehead and said, "there's mommy's little man", he kicked his feet and squealed out, she laughed and said, "who said that?", he squealed again, she said, "is that right?", he kicked his feet and squealed even louder this time.
Fran said, "he sure loves his mommy", Penelope said, "he's such a sweetheart, he loves everybody and he's got them all wrapped around his little finger", Desi said, "ohhhh that's for sure Penelope, that's for sure", the four women laughed and Penelope said, "how long as he been asleep?" as she motioned to Derek.
Fran said, "not long, maybe half an hour", Penelope said, "I just wanted to come out and check on everybody, I better get back in there and see what else I can do to heal my team of crime fighters", as she started walking away Derek said, "aren't you gonna come and check on your man?", she laughed as she made her way across the room.
He stood up and hugged her and said, "I love you Mrs. Morgan", she said, "and I love you Mr. Morgan, now you lay back down and rest", he said, "I will but first, how's the team doing?", Penelope said, "so far no good leads but I'm doing my best to help them", he said, "no doubts about that sweetness".
She leaned in and kissed his lips gently but pulled away when her cell started ringing, she pulled it from her pocket and said, "yes bossman?", Hotch said, "Garcia, I need you to check and see if any of the suspects have done any time in jail or prison, if so how long and did they have any visitors".
Penelope said, "on it bossman", after the call ended she kissed Derek again and said, "now lay down and sleep, I'll check on you again when I can", he said, "yes mammmm" and plopped back down on the couch but watched as Penelope walked back over and kissed Hank again before returning to her room/office to look up more information for the team.
When she came back out a few hours later she sighed and said, "well they fouind him and saved the 4 people that he was holding so that's a win win", Fran said, "so are they wheels up?", she said, "they are but they are heading back here and should be landing in a few hours", after hearing that Jack and Henry clapped their hands and high fived.
Fran grinned and said, "good, it will nice that we're all together again", Penelope nodded her head and said, "that it will Fran, that it will", she looked around and didn't see her son or husband and Sarah said, "they're fine, Derek is feeding him right now", Penelope nodded her head as she walked through the house.
Since she had been working she made up several bottles of breastmilk so that Fran, Derek and the girls would have it so that they could feed Hank while she was working, when she found them Derek was looking down at their son smiling he said, "you are a lucky lucky boy ya know?", Hank looked up at him and Derek said, "you have the most amazing mommy ever".
Penelope walked into the room and said, "his daddy is pretty special too", Derek kissed his wife on the lips and said, "so how did things go?", Penelope said, "good, they are wheels up and should be here in a few hours", Derek smiled and said, "good" before both his and Penelope's attention then turned back to their son.
