The next morning Ricky woke up to the smell of a hot breakfast being cooked. He got up and walked to the kitchen.

Ricky: What's all this?

Lucy: Good morning baby, sit down and I will make you a plate.

Ricky: When did you go to the grocery store.

Lucy: Early this morning I wanted to cook you a big breakfast.

Ricky: Oh baby I would have taken you out for breakfast you didn't have to go through all this trouble.

Lucy: I wanted too (she said giving him a kiss)

Ricky: Okay look I'm sorry about last night. I told Bernard we needed some time alone and he still showed up.

Lucy: (Laughing) Oh it's okay baby I really enjoyed myself and I think you did too.

Ricky: Well it was alright. I really enjoyed the movies though. (He said kissing on her neck)

Lucy: (Laughing) I know you did, sorry we both fell asleep when we got back.

Ricky: Well we didn't get home until 3 since you and Isabella wanted to go dancing

Lucy: I know it was late but wasn't it fun.

Ricky: Yes it was fun.

Lucy: Yes but tonight I'm all yours. Are you still doing the show at Bernard club?

Ricky: I told him just one number. After that your face is all I wanna see. (He said kissing her cheek) Oh and don't forget I'm taking you on a very special picnic today.

Lucy: I'm so excited!!! (Just then the phone rang)

Ricky: Who could that be?

Lucy: Oh it's probably my mother

Ricky: YOUR MOTHER

Lucy: I gave her the number to our room. (She said getting up to answer the phone)

Ricky: Look honey don't tell her about us moving to New York.

Lucy: Why not?

Ricky: Umm because I feel like we should tell her together. You know maybe take her out to dinner then tell her.

Lucy: Oh okay dear, (she picks up the phone) Hello oh goodness I missed her. I'm going to go into the bedroom and call her back.

Ricky: Okay sweetie (just then he hears a knock on the door and he goes to open it) Bernard what are you doing here.

Bernard: Hay pal I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

Ricky: No you interrupted something last night.

Bernard: Oh no wonder you were in a bad mood at the beginning of our night out. Sorry...

Ricky: It's fine Bernard she's worth waiting for.

Benita: (laughing) You talk like y'all have never done it. (Ricky said nothing) NO WAY!!! Oh your a good one.

Ricky: Shut up before she hears you.

Bernard: Where is she?

Ricky: In the bedroom talking to her mom.

Bernard: Well Ricky you have a good one it's getting pretty hard to find a woman like that nowadays.

Ricky: I know she's special.

Bernard: I see... So she's moving with you to New York?

Ricky: Yes! She was so excited to tell her mom this morning but I told her not to.

Bernard: Why not?

Ricky: Because I'm going to ask her to marry me today. When I take her out on a picnic. And if she says yes then I wanna go get married at that very moment.

Bernard: Your going to elope?

Ricky: Yes!! I don't wanna wait!! Plus that way when we do tell her mother we will be married.

Bernard: Man you really figured everything out.

Ricky: Yes I have never been so sure about anything in my whole life.

Bernard: Well I wish you two nothing but the best buddy. (Lucy came out of the bedroom)

Lucy: Darling mother said hello... Oh hey Bernard I didn't know you were here.

Bernard: Yes good morning Lucy I just came to bring Ricky the sheet music for tonight.

Lucy: Oh I can't wait to see the show and to spend some more time with your wonderful wife again she was so nice last night.

Bernard: Yes she likes you two! She wants to go shopping with you today if you're free.

Lucy: Oh Yes!!!

Ricky: Well honey you know I'm taking you on this picnic today.

Lucy: Oh right maybe after we get done.

Bernard: Sure just give our apartment a call.

Lucy : Okay

Bernard: I better get going. See you guys later. (Ricky walked him out)

Later on

Lucy and Ricky found a nice little park to have their picnic in. They walked down a path to a nice quiet bench. Away from all the other people in the park.

Lucy: Oh Ricky this is so romantic.

Ricky: Yes it is anything for the woman I love. (He said giving her a kiss)

Lucy: I can't wait to start our lives together in New York. Hay you know we gotta decorate our apartment.

Ricky: You can do whatever you want.

Lucy: Oh goody, hay I wonder what kind of job I could find there.

Ricky: You don't need to get a job.

Lucy: But I wanna be able to help you with the bills and stuff.

Ricky: Sweet heart you just take care of the house. I will be making a nice amount of money. It's enough to support the both of us. Anything you want just let me know and I will try my best to give it to you.

Lucy: How did I get so lucky?

Ricky: No I'm the lucky one (he said kissing her on the cheek) So what did you and your mother talk about?

Lucy: Oh she just was checking on us.

Ricky: How do you think she's going to react about you moving out of town with me?

Lucy: Well she's not going to be thrilled about it. I think she would take it better if we got married first. But I don't want that to be the reason we get married. She will be fine after some time.

Ricky: I sure hope so

Lucy: She will darling, so what makes this picnic so special?

Ricky: You

Lucy: (blushes) Me!

Ricky: Lucy McGillicuddy I think you're an amazing woman. You have brought me so much joy in my life. I just couldn't imagine life without you.

Lucy: Awe you're so sweet.

Ricky: Do you love me?

Lucy: Yes I'm madly in love with you. (She kisses him)

Ricky: I love you too, and I wanna get married. (He got down on one knee)

Lucy: (dropped whatever she had in her hand) What!?

Ricky: Will you marry me? (He said showing her a small diamond ring Lucy was speechless) I know it isn't much but I promise I will get you something better once I get some more money. (She said nothing) Baby please say something!

Lucy: It's so perfect! But you're not just asking me this because of my mother are you?

Ricky: No no I been planning this for a while. I want you to be my wife and the mother of my kids!

Lucy: (she started crying) I would love to be your wife. So YES!!!! YES I WILL MARRY YOU! (He slides the ring on her finger and she jumped in his arms)

Lucy was so excited she knocked him completely over. They just laid there laughing and kissing.

Ricky: Let's go get married! (He said raising him and her up)

Lucy: NOW!!!

Ricky: Yeah why not?

Lucy: I don't know I don't even have a dress.

Ricky: What's wrong with what you're wearing?

Lucy: I don't want this to be my wedding dress.

Ricky: Well baby you need to pick out something because I don't wanna wait.

Lucy: You really want to elope?

Ricky: YES! Bernard and Isabella will be our witnesses.

Lucy: Okay but can me and Isabella go find a dress. Please Ricky it means so much to me.

Ricky: Okay okay

Lucy: Thank you darling!!! (She said giving him a big hug) I love you!

Ricky: I love you too, come on let's get out of here so you can find your dress.
