Deadly Escape for the Emerald Journey
"Get back! Get back!" One guard hurried inside while trying to shoot down as many zombies as possible, but he ended up getting taken and killed by the zombies.
"Close the gate! Hurry up! Don't let the dead come inside!" Souichiro ordered.
"Commander, we still have a lot of our men on the outside of the complex!" Yoshioka informed, seeing some of their men are still outside.
"You mean like those mean coming in?" Eve pointed at the gate.
Surprisingly, Eve was actually right as five more men came inside through the gate of two of them rolled two grenades each under the zombies to blow them away from the gate.
"Hey, they're using my homemade grenades I made!" Rei smiled, glad to see those boys are using the tools she made for them.
"That's them, but there are still a few more out there." Yoshioka said.
"We'll lose everything if we don't close the gate now! Do it!" Souichiro ordered again.
Yoshioka didn't like leaving his men behind since they too wanted to survive from this zombie outbreak and be in a safe place, but the many zombies that are coming towards them is gonna be a bigger problem if they don't close the gate right now and that is a choice he'll have to live with.
Yoshioka and the other men quickly went over to the gate and close it. It's too bad they can't use the electric shock on them since all the electricity stuff is out.
"Hey, something is wrong with the gate! We can't close it!" One man said.
"You idiot, one zombie is between the gate now!" Another man alerted, pointing at a zombie is trying to get in only to be stuck in between the gate.
But that problem will be solved by a very sharp sniper boy.
"Inside the pocket…" Kohta readied his gun and shot a bullet right through the zombie's head forcing it back outside for the gate to be close.
"That's one for the home team." Kohta said with a serious scary look on his face and a thumbs up. Like he's telling them that "After all, I'm the best shooter." In their face.
"Wow, you're really something else, kid." One somewhat bald man was amazed and scared of this kid at the same time.
"Commander! Madam! I brought this as your requested!" One soldier came up to the husband and wife while carrying a long case.
Wasting no time, Yuriko ripped the left side of her dress leaving some room for her beautiful legs while stripping on an equipment for her gun.
"What?" Cruz and Saya are shocked that Yuriko just did that right in front of them while Yui covers her boyfriend's eyes.
"Mama…" Kohta said in a perverted tone.
"Don't be a pervert now, Saya's dad is still hear and he could kill you for saying that about his wife." Yui warned.
"Use it, Saya." Yuriko handed Saya another gun that was brought to her by the soldier with the case.
"That's… That's a Luger P08 Holland colonial model!" Kohta got excited as he recognizes that gun.
"I don't even know how to use this thing!" Saya said, never used any gun in her life.
"Wait a minute! What are you even doing with a gun?!" Saya asked shock of seeing her mom with a gun and looks like she even knows what she is doing with one.
"Sounds to me like your mom must've been a bounty hunter." Shoko joked.
"No. When I was working on Wall Street, I was taking the executive self-defense course. Actually, I might be a better shooter than your father." Yuriko explained.
Cruz and his group can already imagine Yuriko as a tough kind of woman with a gun and standing in front of her own police car, they were very surprised to hear that a kind woman like her could be anything like that with a gun.
"I guess everyone has their thing in a part of their life that nobody would even expect." Aruka stated.
"You will show her how to use it, won't you, Hirano?" Yuriko asked the shooter boy.
"Yes, Mama!" Kohta answered only to get whacked on the head by Yui.
"You really need to control that outburst of yours." Yui said.
"Excuse me, but I believe we have a big problem at hand." Kaoru walked up to everyone and pointed at the gate.
Looking over to what is happening with the gate right now, the zombies that weren't caught in the explosions of the grenades reached the gate itself and kept going forward with their sheer numbers trying to push the gate out of the way even though the gate has three chains wrapped and some reinforced stuff done by Yukana to make the gate stronger.
However, with the zombies having the deadly super strength and the numbers that are pushing on the gate, those reenforce stuff won't be able to hold them off for long.
"We're screwed man! That won't hold 'em!" The somewhat bald man gasped.
"Fucking damn it! At this rate, he'll be able to get in a few minutes or even less!" Yukana freaked out.
"Then it's official, this place is no longer a safe place for the living to stay." Aruka pointed out with a serious glare at the zombies.
"Then we all need to get ready to leave, but we also need to help as many people as we can. We can't be worrying about saving every single life." Cruz said.
"And we better move fast because the gate is gonna come down sooner than expected!" Nene alerted.
"Men! Get away from the gate, we must evacuate this place at once!" Souichiro shouted.
They didn't need to be told twice as they got away from the gate and quickly went to get some of their personal things while remembering to pack light, it's a good thing Cruz's group have already prepare themselves to go and the same goes for Souichiro's group as they head back inside the mansion.
Then another few seconds later, the gate broken down and the zombies came walking in groaning toward the living to devour them and one of them even tripped over a candle that set fire on the grass and to the camp where the people who denied the existence of zombies as they get eaten.
Cruz and the others hurry to help out with taking care with some of the zombies by killing them with bullets and blades in Saeko's case.
Cruz got out his gun, remembering what Kohta told him about how to use it then started firing at the zombies in the head while Aruka and Shoko show off some impressive strength and flexibility while bashing down the zombies with their own melee combat weapons.
"Wow, those are some cool moves!" Cruz complimented.
"Thanks, I never like to be one of those girls that gets push around." Shoko smirked.
Kohta and Yui are working together in killing off some zombies from their end with long-range guns, Mio picks up two large pillars with to smash the zombies in with and swings them around.
"I won't let any of you fucking zombies hurt Alice and my friends!" Mio shouted in rage.
Nene does her best with her trick arrows that Yukana made as they explode on impact damaging the zombies further and made sure each shot is for the heads.
Saeko goes around slashing at the zombies with her newly acquired sword as she slices their heads in halves and even does a few kicks to knock some of the others down. One zombie was about to pounce on her, but Rei comes in and blasts the head at point-blank range as they smile at each other.
"Damn it…" Cruz cursed before firing another bullet at one zombie.
"These zombies just keep coming." Cruz said.
"It must be a giant army that came here." Aruka feared.
"It only gets worse as time goes on." Rei pointed out.
"Oh man, I'm already down to three arrows now." Nene looked at her quiver, seeing the remaining arrows.
"We'll run out of bullets too." Kohta said.
The battle goes on a little long with the sky going dark beginning the night, and the zombies are still coming as Souichiro looks on seeing the very home of the Takagi family is consumed in destruction with the remaining survivors looking scared.
Then Yoshioka comes in bringing him good news that ought to shed some light on this situation.
"Commander, our scouts have confirmed. The troops stationed at the house next door haven't been attacked yet. And I believe we can reinforce all the doors and gates." Yoshika reported.
That sounded good enough for Souichiro to believe now is the time to leave this place and move on to the next safe place.
"We'll rip through the enemies and head to next door." Souichiro decided.
"Come if you're a man and ready to battle. And as for the women and children, stay close behind immediately, if you want to survive." Souichiro ordered the remaining live people.
"Are we really going to lose our home?" Saya asked, looking down in sadness.
"I'm sorry, but you know that this was bound to happen deep down." Cruz said to Saya.
"That doesn't mean I have like it." Saya said.
"Cruz Schild, it is time for you and your group to be on your way to find the answer to your purpose. And please, look after my daughter for me." Souichiro requested.
"I will, sir." Cruz nodded.
"Damn it, we really have no choice but to go our separate ways." Saya clutched her hands.
"Saya, I've left you many times during your life and I'm sorry for that. I hope some day you'll forgive me. But this time, I'm leaving you because I have to. I'm not leaving you because I want to." Yuriko stated.
"Mommy." Saya sobbed.
"Mrs. Tagaki…" Alice walked up to the older woman with Mio.
"Will we see you again?" Mio asked.
"Both of you be good girls, but more importantly, be strong girls together." Yuriko said as she hugs them.
"You two listen to your big sisters and brothers, okay?" Yuriko ordered softly.
"Okay." Alice nodded.
"Don't worry, I'm really strong, so I'll keep everyone safe!" Mio promised with a cute smile.
"That's good to hear. Now, get out of here!" Yuriko ordered a little harshly with love.
"Daddy… Mommy… I love you both so much!" Saya smiled as she ran off with the rest of the group following her to the garage.
"Wait, will the car even have enough room for our new friends?" Shizuka asked concern.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we can make it work and if we get the chance, we'll get another car. Even a trailer." Cruz hoped.
Souichiro pulls out his sword from the sheath, he is ready for battle against the dead.
"Throw the dynamite." Souichiro ordered.
His men quickly threw two stacks of dynamites at the zombies blowing every five or six each into pieces and such, the main man of the house came down the steps along with Yoshioka and one soldier as they start shooting at the zombies in the head.
"You guys better have that thing filled up with gas." Shoko talked about the car she heard about from the others.
"I'm sure it's all filled up by now." Setsuna believed as they arrive at the garage.
"Mr. Maddo!" Saya called out but found that there is no one in the car.
"They're not here?" Saya wondered if the other works have gone with her father already.
"Lady Saya." A man rolled out from under the Hum-V and right between Saya's legs as she quickly covers her private area.
"It's the mechanic, Mr. Maddo!" Cruz recognized the man.
"What are you doing down there?" Saya asked.
"You're lucky, Lady Saya. This here's anti-electromagnetic pulse. It's triple copper plated. The owner of this must be hardcore." Mr. Maddo informed.
"So, you're saying that this car can still drive?" Shizuka asked as she and some of the other girls smile.
"But it needs some repair because it's been damaged. It will take a while." Mr. Maddo mentioned as he was just about to do that repair.
"If that's the case, we will make our end here until the car is full fix." Cruz declared as ready to fight.
"Yeah, let show them the strength of the Emerald Group!" Eve shouted.
"The Emerald Group?" Cruz wondered if Eve thinks that's going to be our group's name.
"I like it, certainly shows the appeal that Cruz is the Emerald Savior." Saeko smiled.
"You girls can tell me more about your time with my little brother after we get through this." Aruka pulled out her nun-chucks.
"Here, electric wired spear gauntlets. Figured you like to fight with your fists." Yukana handed the two items to Shoko.
"Now this is more like it!" Shoko smirked.
Soon, the Emerald Group spare out to fight off as many zombies as possible with Souichiro's group also doing their part and the Tagaki married couple are back-to-back.
"Doesn't look very good. Not for us anyway, darling." Yuriko commented.
"Yuriko… You are a good woman." Souichiro smiled, being proud to call that woman his wife.
"Let's go!" Souichiro said.
Both husband and wife continue with the bloody fight against the zombies as the man slices their heads off and the woman shoots them down with each perfect shot, they are like a two-man army.
Back to the Emerald Group, Mio throws two of her spiked pillars to knock down over a dozen or two zombies away.
"Holy shit, just what kind of food had your parents been feeding you?" Shoko asked, very shocked to see that short girl is so strong like ten men combined.
"You know, we have been wondering about how strong she really is." Saeko said.
"Focus on the fight, you two!" Setsuna scolded while Kuchinashi shoots some exploding balls that were made by Yukana as well.
"I wish I could have messed with it a little more, but… All right!" Mr. Maddo closed the hood of the car.
"You're good." Mr. Maddo said to Shizuka, giving her a thumbs up.
"Come on!" Shizuka turned the key and the engine started with a loud roar, showing the hard work of Mr. Maddo to have fixed the car.
"Fucking yeah, it's working!" Ranka smiled.
"Hey everyone, get your asses back here! The car is all fix up and we can get the fuck out of here!" Ranka called out.
Everyone in the Emerald Group quickly made their way into the garage and hurry to get inside of the Hum-V, making sure to make some room for themselves and their equipment they're bringing along and some food and water they packed as well.
"Mr. Maddo, aren't you coming in?" Cruz asked, seeing Mr. Maddo grabbing a wrench.
"I'm afraid I can't go with ya. My true love is here and I'm not leaving her." Mr. Maddo grinned, referring to the garage as it felt like a true home to him and living out his dream as a mechanic.
"Lady Saya, please take care!" Mr. Maddo bowed.
"If that's your choice, then be sure that your willpower carries you on until we meet each other again." Aruka smiled, showing some respect to the man.
"Here we go!" Shizuka pressed her foot on the gas peddle and drive out of the garage running over some zombies along the way.
Mr. Maddo can definitely tell that Lady Saya has really grown into a fine young woman and finding herself a lover too, now he can focus on himself.
"All right, come here, you fuckers!" Mr. Maddo smacked one zombie down with the wrench.
Souichiro cut down two more zombies with a swing, and then the hum-V came rushing past him though he remains silent while Saya screams to her father.
The hum-V makes it out of the courtyard and onto the road.
"Which way do we go now?" Rei asked.
"You're looking at it." Saeko pointed ahead, seeing one open path pass the bus that used to be Shido's group, but there is one little problem.
"What? It's too narrow!" Rei said.
"I'm afraid we don't have a choice! Keep going, Shizuka!" Cruz said.
"You got it!" Shizuka nodded and tilted the car into an angle that is just enough to get through the narrow space and the Emerald Group are now heading out.
"They're gone." Souichiro said.
"I don't know if we were the best parents. But hopefully, she's learned from us. She'll be alright." Yuriko smiled, glad to know that their daughter will leave to see tomorrow.
"Well now… Then there's nothing to hold me back!" Souichiro smirked.
One zombie goes up to the man only for the head to sliced off by Souichiro's sword.

Cruz's group, name official named the Emerald Group, have escaped the zombies that were invading the Takagi Mansion and have gone off on their own journey, and I have a feeling that Saya's parents are going to be okay even when facing the powerful odds of the dead!
