Chapter 87: Satchmo:

Tommy's POV:

We're going camping with Grandpa.

Stu's POV:

"Stu, I think you're being paranoid," says Didi.

"Did, every time they hang with Pop, something happens," I said.

"True, but they're in our backyard," says Didi, "what villain's gonna show up in our backyard?"

"You never know," I said.

Tommy's POV:

It was late at night. Grandpa was telling us a scary story.

"You sprouts ever hear the Legend of Sasquatch? Ha! Of course you haven't because I haven't told it to you yet! Well, they say Sasquatch was fifteen feet tall with big, round eyes, long teeth and huge, furry feet. Some folks call him Bigfoot. Some call him the Abominable Snowman. The rest just call him Sir! On warm nights just like this, he used to come out of the hills and turn whole villages upside down, lookin' for ice to stay cool. Or maybe just lookin' for trouble. Don't worry, though. They say he only comes down from the hills every fifteen years. And, uh- Wait a minute. Hasn't it been exactly fifteen years since the last time he was seen? Ah, what am I boring you sprouts with all that yappin' for? You're probably ready to fall asleep!"

Chuckie's POV:

I got up because I gotta go potty! "Kimi, can you tell the others I'm going potty," I asked.

"I like frostine," says Kimi.

"I'll take that as a yes," I said. I then walked out of the tent. I just hope I can find my way back.

Tommy's POV:

I got up. "Kimi, where's Chuckie," I asked.

Kimi got up and saw Chuckie's missing. "I hope he's okay," says Kimi.

"He probably went looking for the Satchmo," I said.

"Wow, what a brave kid," says Lil.

"Chuckie's not brave," says Angelica.

"Well, what else could a potty-trained four-year-old be doing," asks Chuckie.

. . .

We then went out to look for Chuckie.

Chuckie's POV:

I just got done with the potty. Now I just have to find my way back to the camp. I then looked around. This could take a while.

Tommy's POV:

We were looking for Chuckie.

"Okay, who's eating who first," asks Dil.

"We're not gonna eat each other," I said, "I'm sure we'll find Chuckie."

"What if Satchmo got to him," asks Kimi.

"Your brother's gonna be safe," I said.

"I think I see something," says Phil.

"It's just Spiffy sleepwalking again," I said. Everyone looks at me. "What? He does that."

"I think I heard something," says Phil.

"Satchmo," we all said.

. . .

We ran, but then we ran into Chuckie. "Chuckie, we thought you got eated," says Kimi.

"What," asks Chuckie, "I was just going to use the potty!"

"Oh," we all said.

"That should've been our first guest," I said.

Then there was something in the bushes. It was the Satchmo... wait, it was Angelica scaring us. "You're always gonna be dumb," says Angelica.

Then we heard something else. "It's probably just Angelica trying to scare us," I said.

"Yeah, it's probably just me trying to..." Angelica then stops. "We're doomed!"

. . .

The Satchmo was at the tent. We then attacked it... but it was mine and Dil's Daddy.

"Uncle Stu," asks Angelica.

"What are you kids doing out here," asks Daddy.

"We couldn't sleep 'cause of the Satchmo," says Angelica.

"Satchmo? The trumpet player," asks Daddy.

"No, the monster," says Angelica.

"I knew this was a bad idea. And Didi tried to tell me there was nothing to worry a- Monster?!"

"What in tarnation is goin' on," asks Grandpa.

"Angelica seems to think there's somebody in the neighborhood called Satchmo," says Daddy.

"The Trumpet Player," asks Grandpa.

"No, the monster. Now, where do you suppose she got an idea like that," asks Daddy.

"Search me. Probably something on TV," says Grandpa.

"But you told us the story," says Angelica.

"Or maybe she meant sasquatch," says Grandpa, "I can see it... great, now I'm thinking of the Sasquatch as a trumpet player!"

"Look, why don't we all just go inside our nice, safe house and get some sleep," says Daddy.

"Stu, I got a better idea."

. . .

And now Daddy's camping with us... but we all wish he would just go to sleep.

AGU Adventurers:

Tommy: I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

I see skies of blue
And clouds of white
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces
Of people going by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying
I love you

I hear babies cry
I watch them grow
They'll learn much more
Than I'll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Ooh, yes!

In the next chapter, we focus on Jade Chan.
