Chapter 92: Legend of Amaterasu and Tarakudo (1):

Amaterasu's POV:

My name is Amaterasu Ōmikami, but some know me as Ōhirume no Muchi no Kami while others know me as the White Wolf with Crimson Markings, anyway, I'm the Japanese Goddess of the Sun. I am the ruler of the Heavenly realm of Takamagahara. With me are my siblings, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, the Moon God and Susanoo-no-Mikoto, the God of Sea and Storms. Also, are my children, Ame-no-oshihomimi, Ame no Hohi, Amatsuhikone, Ikutsuhikone, and Kumanokusubi.

Then I heard someone begging for my help.

I came to the young girl. "My Lady," she says, "our village is being attacked by a red oni and a blue oni!"

"I shall deal with this," says Amaterasu.

I then came to the village and saw the red oni. He was a giant floating head and the blue oni was dressed as a samurai.

"You there," I said, "what is the meaning of this!"

"I'm so glad you're here," says the red oni, "the blue oni was hurting these people!"

The red oni was... defending them? The blue oni continued his reign, so I helped the red oni. We both drove the blue oni away.

"I am sorry," I said, "I was told you both were attacking."

"I understand," says the red oni, "I just wanted to be accepted, but everyone sees me as a monster. Then I saw that blue oni attacking, so I had to fight for them."

"That is very noble of you," I said, "I shall inform them of the truth."

"Thank you, Lady Amaterasu. My name is Tarakudo."

"It is very nice to meet you, Tarakudo." I then walked away and Tarakudo disappears.

Tarakudo's POV:

I searched and then I found him. "Your plan worked, Ikazuki," I said.

"They accept you, my Lord," asks Ikazuki.

"As soon as Amaterasu convinces them," I said, "and soon, their children will be ours! Let's get to work."

"Forgive me, but to ensure that they trust you, I must remain hidden," says Ikazuki.

"Very well," I said, "just get our friends ready."

"As you command," says Ikazuki. He then disappears into the shadows.

Amaterasu will regret trusting Tarakudo, Lord of all Oni!

Amaterasu's POV:

I told the villagers, and they all decide to accept Tarakudo into their village.

"My Lady," says the girl, "I do not trust him."

"What is your name," I asked.

"Kaya."

"Well, Kaya, you cannot judge someone based on their appearance." I then saw the children. "I'm guessing you're the only polite child."

"This village is full of disobedient children," says Kaya.

"Well, that's a shame," I said.

I then walked and I saw Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto. "That child you were speaking to," says Tsukuyomi, "she seems familiar."

"I'm sure she just has one of those faces," I said.

I returned to my Heavenly realm of Takamagahara. Then there was another cry for help!

I returned and saw Kaya... though, oddly, she appears older. "My Lady," says Kaya, "the children... their souls have been taken!"

I took a look at the children. "Who or what did this," I asked.

"It was Tarakudo," says Kaya, "and these other oni!"

I then searched for Tarakudo and I found a palace. I then teleported in.

When I entered, I saw the blue oni and eight others. And I saw Tarakudo, he was on a throne built for a giant head. Next to him was a woman. She has ankle-length straight down white hair, crimson red eyes, and warm ivory skin. She has her hair in a Suihatsu Style. She's wearing a black/grey/red version of the Jūnihitoe. I assume she is with him. "You are the leader," I said.

"I am the Lord of all Oni," says Tarakudo.

"Then it was all a deception," I said.

"Of course it was," says Tarakudo, "what do you expect. I'm a demon. We lie. Now, meet my generals, Ikazuki, Rairakku, Murasaki, Kiiro, Midori, Orenji, Mosugurin, Kuro, and Aka! And this is my Queen, Yuzuriha."

"Wait, you said Kero twice," I said.

"No, this one is K-I-I-R-O, and this one is K-U-R-O," says Tarakudo.

"Oh," I said, "you took the children's souls!"

"It is in our nature to take the souls of disobedient children," says Tarakudo, "but we're not goin to stop there. Come out!" Then these strange ninja warriors came out of the shadows.

"What are they," I asked.

"Shadowkhan," says Tarakudo, "and they're going to help us take over this world! Attack!"

I then fought off the shadowkhan. They were not humans. They were living shadows. I had to get away.

I told the others what happened.

"Men made out of shadows," asks Susanoo, "what has the world come to?"

"There must be a way to fight against them," says Tsukuyomi.

"There is one way," I said. I then looked at the light and I touched it. Then my own warriors came out of the light. They resemble the shadowkhan, but they wear white instead of black. "I believe my Lightkhan could fight against the Shadowkhan. Brothers, this is a war, and we must fight!"

I returned to the village, and I saw Kaya. She was a fully grown adult and now a princess. "Time certainly flies for you, Kaya," I said.

"I am Princess Kaguya now, my Lady," says Kaya, "many men have tried to win my heart, but, honestly, they're starting to get on my nerves. I may have to return home."

"I see," I said, "have you heard from the Oni?"

"They're coming," says Kaya.

"Then, my dear Kaya, let the Shadow War begin!"

Tarakudo's POV:

My armies of shadowkhan are getting ready. Soon, this world will be mine and darkness will consume it!

Yes, Tarakudo and Ikazuki's trick is based on the Tale of the Red Oni and the Blue Oni. Except in the actual story, the Red Oni really just wanted to be accepted by the humans and the Blue Oni just wanted to help him. This version, the Red and Blue Onis are evil. Kaya is really Princess Kaguya. Amaterasu is the Ancestor of the Imperial Royal Family and the Watanabe Clan. Amaterasu is the Ancestor/Past Life of Prince Yoi/Samurai Jack and Kimi Finster. I imagined Amaterasu, the Shinto Goddess of the Sun being voiced by Yu Shinamura. I imagine Susanoo, the Shinto God of Seas and Storms being voiced by Hiroki Narimiya. I imagine Tsukuyomi, the Shinto God of the Moon being voiced by Naoto Kataoka. I imagine Tarakudo being voiced by Norio Wakamoto. I imagine Rairakku, the Ninja Khan General, being voiced by Akio Otsuka. I imagined Murasaki, the Razor Khan General being voiced by Takehito Koyasu. I imagine Orenji, the Squid Khan General, being voiced by Banjo Ginga. I imagine Kuro, the Crab Khan General being voiced by Toru Okawa. I imagined Midori, the Sumo Khan General being voiced by Jouji Nakata. I imagined Kiiro, the Bat Khan General being voiced by Shigeru Chiba.
