Chapter 98: Hurricane Alice:

Lil's POV:

Phil, Tommy, and I were drawing when the news on the radio was on. "This just in, Hurricane Alice is coming over! She can turn a whole house upside down!"

"Who's Hurricane Alice," asks Tommy.

"I don't know, but she sounds scary," says Phil.

"We should watch out for anyone that can turn a housie upside down," I said.

Then my Mommy's old friend comes over.

"Sheila, you're here," says Mommy, "and this must be your daughter."

"Yep," says Sheila, "say hello to Alice!"

We all heard that.

"Alice," asks Phil.

"Alice," asks Tommy.

"Alice," I asked, "maybe she's Wonderland's Alice."

We all look at the Alice in Wonderland book. "Nope," says Tommy, "Wonderland's Alice has yellow hair."

"Then it gots to be Hurricane Alice," I said.

. . .

Alice was turning everything upside down.

"And I thought Glowface was weird," says Phil.

"She's going to do the same to the housie," I said.

"Maybe we can find a way to keep her from doing that," says Tommy.

. . .

Tommy has an idea that maybe they can calm Alice with a toy. "A red teddy bear," says Alice, "I don't have a red teddy bear!"

Tommy hands her Teddy and she cuddles it... then she throws it. "Teddy's not supposed to fly," I said.

"I'm done hugging," says Alice, "I'm gonna play with other toys." She then plays with a cash machine... and throws it. She has a good arm. Alice is then playing with a toy firetruck and throws it.

"My leg!"

I don't know where that came from.

"Maybe we can get her to draw," says Tommy. Alice then crashes the firetruck.

. . .

Alice keeps looking for toys and then throwing them. "My leg!"

Alice then goes to the closet, but she does not like the closet toys.

. . .

Alice then goes to the bathroom and plays with a hairdryer and a spray can and sticks curlers and a toilet roll to the ceiling.

"She's turning the bathroom upside down," says Phil.

"She's moving again," says Tommy.

. . .

Alice then decides to go to the basement.

"But the basement is the bottom," says Phil.

"If she turns that upside down, she'll turn the whole house upside down," says Lil.

"I gots an idea," says Tommy.

. . .

Now we're eating cookies. "Great idea, Tommy," I said.

"Thanks," says Tommy, "now I gots an idea to stop Alice! Maybe we can put her to sleep!"

. . .

Tommy then tells Alice a story about a pig, three blind mice and three bears, and Alice falls asleep.

. . .

Alice then leaves with her Mommy and the news man says that Hurricane Alice is done.

"You know," says Tommy, "I might miss Alice."

"Me too," says Phil.

"Same," I said.

AGU Adventurers' POV:

Lil: When the world turns upside down
Nothing is for sure
All the dreams you thought were real
You can't find any more
And then there's how the pieces fly
Most of all the ones inside
If only I knew how to fix it all I would
If only one heart all alone did any good
But I feel so small... what can I do at all...
When the world has turned upside down
When the world turns upside down
There's no way to hold tight
Just get you're feet again
Takes a little time
I gonna need a little grit
But I'll find my way in just a little bit
If only I knew how to fix it all I would
If only one heart all alone did any good
But I feel so small... what can I do at all...
When the world has turned upside down
Oh, nobody knows when the world gonna fly
But I still got to give it a try
If the world turns upside down
I'm just a gust of wind
Guess I should get ready now
For when it comes again
What do I hold where will I go
And will i feel this all along
If only I knew how to fix it all I would
If only one heart all alone did any good
But I'm just so small... what can I do at all...
Now that the world has turned upside down
Turned upside down!...

In the next chapter, the Rugrats solve a mystery.
