Daniel moaned in his sleep; he rolled over on the cold concrete floor before shooting upright in an instant. He winced and lifted up his shirt to see gauze taped to his wound, it had the stains of dried blood on it. Danny scanned his surroundings and noticed he was in an abandoned warehouse. The teenager was boxed in by four dusty concrete walls and broken windows. How did I get here? He wondered briefly. This wasn't the ghost zone and it definitely wasn't a hospital.

Light footsteps made the halfa's ears perk up. Someone or something was in here with him. Like a cornered animal, Danny's muscles tensed up as he listened for any more motion indicators. Another set of steps gave away the direction to the teen and he twisted around with a glowing green hand pointed at whoever it was. The ghostly aura slightly lit up the face of a frightened Dani looking back at Danny.

"Dani…" he whispered as he slowly lowered his hand.

A nail of regret embedded itself in Danny's soul; he didn't want to ruin things with Dani. Especially since the last time she got scared and ran off by herself, he didn't see her for months. Danny didn't want that, their relationship was just starting to sprout. Right when he was about to usher a sincere apology; Dani enveloped the human boy in a tight hug, letting out an audible sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness you're okay," she mumbled into his chest.

Fenton felt a wetness on his hoodie and he glanced down to see the young girl silently crying in his arms. He could understand it though, seeing his unconscious body on the road must have shocked her.

"I-I thought you were dead…"

Danny rubbed the girl's head in an attempt to comfort her. He didn't know exactly what to say, but he could assure her that everything was going to be okay.

"Thank you for saving me," he spoke softly.

Danny ran his fingers through the girl's silky black hair.

"I can't imagine what you were going through."

Dani hiccuped mid-way through her sob and gripped the older boy's hoodie tightly in fear that he'd go away. Danny was the strongest person she knew and to see him lying injured on the ground broke her heart.

Dani glanced up at Fenton with glassy eyes, "What happened?", she asked.

That scene would stay with the young girl for the rest of her life. The pungent stench of burned flesh erupting from the blackened skeletons littered across the ground. Flaming police cars lighting up the night sky. And Danny… laying there was the worst of the chaotic scene; she froze at the sight of all of it. The sound of police sirens brought her back to reality and she realized she needed to get Danny out of there. She was becoming queasy just thinking about it now.

Danny tried his best to explain his fight with the mobster, excluding the horrible details of death and destruction. If she was the one who brought him here, then Dani already received a small taste. And Daniel hated that he exposed her to that. She is only a little girl. The entire time he was telling the story, Dani had a look of terror on her face. He won't lie. The encounter scared him half to death. Who the hell was this ghost giving off the same terror presence as Pariah Dark. Of course it was right when he started to get his life together.

"I need to do some research- OH SHIT! I need to get home!" Danny realized as he looked out to the full moon.

The slow transformation into Phantom signaled his exhaustion but he had to get home.

"Wait! Let me help you!" Dani offered.

The older teen was in too much of a rush to listen and ended up crashing to the floor in a heap after trying to take off. He let out a groan as he held his aching head. Dani pulled the boy's arm around her shoulders, helping him to his feet.

"Let me," she once again offered.

They stumbled out the front doors of the forgotten warehouse onto an empty street that had factories lined up and down the block. Danny pondered on where exactly they were for a moment but realized he had more important things to worry about. Sam and Tucker were going to kill him for not checking in. And Jazz. Oh no- I'm gonna get an earful from her.

With Dani's added support, he was able to levitate higher than he's previously attempted. It took a moment to shake off the tiredness before ascending into the night sky. They flew through the clouds together taking in the town below them. Danny was proud of how much Amity Park has grown since he was a lowly freshman, and even more excited about the progress of those who resided in it.

"Did you patch me up?" Danny suddenly questioned.

"Huh? Oh yeah I remembered what you taught me about first aid; is it bad?"

"No no- nothing like that. You did good. And your flying has improved as well."

"Danny… Is everything okay?" she spoke softly.

Phantom glanced up at the moon for a moment. He's been asking himself that question ever since his secret identity was no longer a secret. Danny didn't know what direction fate would take him and that worried him a bit. Will there be a day when Danny Phantom isn't needed? Will he be able to separate Fenton and Phantom when the time comes? Right now it was clear who was pulling who down the path. He felt it sometimes before the meteor event when he'd go on week-long ghost hunts. Like he was losing himself.

"Danny!"

Phantom nearly jumped out of his skin. He started to doze off and his dead weight almost made them veer off into a building. A string of apologies were thrown at Dani, but she waved them off. She was more worried about Danny.

"We need to get you home," she observed.

Sam, Jazz, and Tucker were sitting at the kitchen table with their eyes glued to the TV screen. Several news reporters were explaining the horrid scene to the audience as firefighters put out the remaining car fires. One could see the multiple stretchers spread out near ambulances with sheets covering the bodies. The gothic girl slammed her fists on the table in frustration.

"We need to be out there looking for him!" she yelled at nobody in particular.

"My parents are already searching for him with Valerie. It's best we stay here in case he comes back," Jazz stated.

Sam hated waiting around and doing nothing, especially when Danny was out there hurt. They were waiting for him to come back, but he never did. Then Danny's mom ran in the house talking about some type of attack downtown. She didn't stick around long enough for Sam to ask any more questions. Jazz turned on the television and they received it all live. Some type of attack that claimed the lives of 12 police officers. It seemed that the attackers were after money considering the gaping hole in the side of the bank. How could something like this happen in Amity Park?

News outlets confirmed that the attack was done by an unknown ghost. They showed the brutal footage of the formally dressed figure shooting at the officers. Then Sam's eyes widened at the visual of Danny on screen fighting the ghost and losing… She almost yelped when he got grazed by one of those crazy bullets. The video didn't last long, cutting out with an explosion. Sam was confused and upset; she didn't know what was going on with Danny. They've tried calling his phone multiple times and no answer.

"You're seriously going to fucking sit there while Danny could be de-"

"Sam!" Tucker interrupted sternly. "Chill out, there isn't much we can do at the moment."

Jazz glared at the teen through anger tears, "You think I wanna be doing nothing while my lil brother is fucking missing and could possibly be- oh god," the redhead choked as she put her hands up to her face.

Tucker held the crying woman gently and gave his friend a look of disappointment. This isn't the time to be accusing each other of doing nothing. Sam immediately felt guilty for yelling at Jazz and decided to go clear her head outside. The teen didn't make it halfway to the exit before the two ghosts tumbled through the door onto the floor. Sam looked like she saw a ghost. Technically it was two ghosts. Danny AND Dani. Jazz was the first to yelp in complete shock. Danny raised his aching head to look at his friends and sister.

"Hey guys, did you miss me?"

Tucker and Dani carried the worn out Danny to the couch. Jazz rushed out of the kitchen with water and a damp towel. She gave the bottle to her brother, who happily took a swig of it instantly. Jazz dabbed at the small cuts on his face, as well as wiping away the sweat and grime from his brow. Sam bit her nails and nervously paced back and forth, taking quick glances at the boy.

"You look like shit, bro," Tucker pointed out.

"For once I agree with you," Danny commented.

Fenton gently pushed Jazz away from him and lifted his shirt to show the crew his battle scar. Flying had reopened the wound and now the gauze was soaked with a mix of red and green. Jazz gasped as she rushed out to retrieve her first aid kit. Tucker hated the sight of blood and had to turn away to keep his composure. Sam could only stare in disbelief of the unsightly wound. She's seen Danny beat up and bruised before; there have been plenty of times when he dumped himself at her window, and she had to patch him up. But this was something different, it was unnatural to her.

Jazz came back with a white box in hand. She placed it down beside her and swiftly got to work, ordering Danny to remove his hoodie and shirt. The redhead slowly pulled the soaked gauze off the delicate wound. Fenton flinched in response to his injury being exposed to the cool room. Jazz looked over the open gash, it was only a graze but looked horrific. She rinsed off the wound with warm water. This needed to be stitched. The college girl was happy she had taken those first aid classes last summer.

Sam felt helpless. She could only watch Jazz patch her best friend up. If he had landed at her window with this type of injury, she didn't know what she'd do. The gothic teenager always spoke of having Danny's back during these types of situations. Samantha was currently eating those words. She glanced over at Tucker's guilt-ridden face, knowing he was thinking something along the same lines.

"Tucker and I should have come with you- we didn't know this would happen," Sam started. "If we were with you then maybe-"

"Don't be ridiculous, Sam. You didn't see what he did to those cops, if anything it was a good thing you weren't there. It was a fucking massacre," Danny cut in.

"I know…I'm sorry, I just feel helpless."

"You feel helpless? I couldn't save ANY of them, Sam! How do you think I felt! That monster just fucking gunned all of them down without a second thought. There wasn't a single damn thing I could do for those people. I'm supposed to be a hero but I was too much of a pussy to engage him…I froze up and those innocent people died for it!" Danny ranted harshly.

"Cut her some slack, Danny, she was just worried about you," Tucker said.

"Well it sounds like she's worried about her freaking self."

"No… He's right," Sam assured.

Sam went to take a seat by Dani, who was carefully watching everything Jazz was doing. Dani patted the older girl's thigh in an attempt to comfort her. Sam didn't want it though. Danny was 100 percent right; the teen was being selfish at the moment. She was only thinking about her feelings during this shitshow, while Danny experienced it firsthand.

"That's okay Sam; please ignore my idiot brother," Jazz started. "Danny, I get what happened was horrible but that's no reason to be a jackass to your friends," she finished.

Jazz replaced the gauze with a large bandage pad, placing it firmly over the stitched wound. Danny finished his water before throwing his shirt and hoodie back on. The cool liquid helped to clear his head.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. You had a rough night, so you should get some rest. I'll tell mom and dad what happened."

"I can't rest until I find this guy," Danny declared.

Dani facepalmed at the older boy's stubbornness.

"Are you crazy? You can barely keep your eyes open and you wanna go look for this guy?" Jazz scolded. "Absolutely not. I forbid it."

"You're not my mom, Jazz! While I'm wasting time here, this ghost could be wreaking havoc on another town!"

"I may not be Mom but I AM your big sister and it's MY responsibility to look after my little brother."

"I don't need you to look-" Daniel was cut short when a sharp pain stabbed his side.

Jazz's angry expression immediately softened and she rolled her eyes at Danny. He always did this; act like nothing bothered him and he could do it all. That mindset landed him in more trouble than not. When was he going to realize he had a group of people that not only loved and cared for him, but also supported his ghost-fighting job. Danny didn't have to be alone in this "crusade" of his.

"Look… Get some rest, at least until tomorrow, and we can figure this all out after school."

Danny was in no condition to argue; he knew that Jazz was right about laying low until he healed. Call him a hypocrite but he hated sitting back and waiting when he could be doing something.

"Fine," the boy relented in a huff.

Danny got off the couch and limped up the stairs at a snail's pace. Everyone in the room could see that each step caused him great pain.

"Good-night Danny!" Jazz called up. "I love you!" she added.

Danny waved her off and disappeared around the corner into his room.

"I don't know about you, ladies, but I've never seen Danny in such bad shape before."

Sam shot Tucker a mean look and he put his hands up in confusion, he was just trying to lighten the mood.

"Me neither… It was scary," Dani announced.

Sam knew she shared the same answer as the rest. The girl just didn't want to believe any of it. Not even Dan, his evil future self, took this much of a toll on Danny. It wasn't just physical; there was mental anguish brewing in his head. They could see it through his dim eyes that were usually electric blue. Sam presumed it was witnessing all the death and not being able to stop it like he mentioned before.

Tucker tapped away on his PDA, scrolling through the local news and even checking the police scanners. He was searching for any information they could use about who was behind the attack tonight. A ghost, yeah but that was too vague. He read a headline that threw him for a loop.

"Police and GiW working together to find the suspect responsible for tonight's attack," Tucker read aloud.

"Great! Those pricks are gonna be lurking around again?" Sam snarled.

She hated those government dogs for what they did to Danny all those years ago.

"Danny's going to need to keep this plan to look for the ghost lowkey then," Tuckered confirmed. "Nothing ever goes right when Guys in White are around."

"He's not going to be looking for anyone," Jazz chimed in.

Sam and Tucker raised an eyebrow at her statement.

"You saw the state of Danny tonight! I can't possibly allow him to go looking for the guy who almost freaking killed him!"

"You know Danny isn't going to sit still while this dude is running around, right?" Tucker pointed out.

"Don't remind me… It's going to take a lot of convincing for him to give this up."

"This is never going to work. Danny will never stop searching for this guy," Sam declared. "The best thing to do is support him and make sure something like tonight never happens again."

Tucker nodded in agreement with his friend and looked to Jazz for her input. She didn't say anything, simply stared at the floor. He had a feeling that she knew Sam was right. There was no controlling Danny. Dani glanced at the room at Danny's friends, grateful for their resolve to help the phantom. She stood up to leave when her stomach rumbled loudly. Everyone's heads snapped to the source of the noise. Dani could only blush in embarrassment. She totally forgot she hadn't eaten dinner tonight.

"Sorry…"

"Dani, are you hungry?" Jazz asked.

Dani shook her head not wanting to be a bother, but her stomach betrayed her and rumbled even louder this time.

"It's okay, I'll just pick something up when I go back home."

"Home? Where do you even live?" Sam questioned the young girl.

"Uh- in the ID…"

"ID? You mean the industrial district? There's nothing there but abandoned warehouses and factories."

"What!?" Jazz gasped.

"Yeah, I've been there a couple times for underground grunge concerts."

"It's not that bad! I'm just sleeping there till I get enough money for an apartment; I'm working at a nearby deli for a couple hours a day," Dani explained quickly.

"Working?! Dani, you should be in school!" Jazz scolded in a motherly tone.

Sam and Tucker rolled their eyes. Once Jazz went into mom mode there was no stopping her.

"I-uh-"

Dani was quickly overwhelmed by Jazz's nurturing nature. She was being led into the kitchen by Jazz. The teenage girl yanked her arm out of Jazz's grip and backed away.

"No! I don't want to be a burden on Danny anymore than I already am!"

"Burden? Danny loves you like you were his sister," Sam jumped in. "If he isn't talking about ghosts then he's declaring how much he loves training with you."

Dani had a look of shock on her face after hearing that statement. No they're lying! She remembered how Vlad swore to love her like a daughter and he left her to die. Dani couldn't ever put that type of trust in anyone ever again. She had already prepared herself to go unloved forever. A hand pulled the girl out of her self-loathing trance. Jazz looked down at Dani with a stern expression like a mother looking at their child after they did something dumb.

"You have Danny's DNA inside of you right? Then that means I'm your big sister as well. And that also means you WILL listen to me, understand?"

"Uh-"

"You are going to eat and go straight to bed, missy. You can sleep in my room and we will talk over your situation with mom and dad tomorrow."

"Yes ma'am," Dani agreed.

Jazz smiled and pulled the girl into the kitchen.

Sam and Tucker were left alone in the living room. Though the goth girl wasn't in the mood to talk anymore and announced her departure. Tucker followed stout and told his friend to be careful on her way home. Nobody would argue that the Phantom crew needed a good night's sleep. After all, they had school tomorrow.

A few hours later an exhausted mother and father trudged into their kitchen after a long night of searching for the suspect involved in the shooting. Jack immediately bid his wife a good night before moving up the stairs to wash up and go to bed. Madeline, who was cursed with an overactive mind, couldn't sleep after an event like this occurred. She had to find all the pieces and put the puzzle together. It was clear who Danny and Jazz got their ambition from. All that running around and we found out nothing! Maddie glanced down at the text she received from Jazz confirming Danny's safety. When she got that text, the woman wanted to rush home and envelop her son in a hug.

"Mom?" Jazz yawned as she walked into the kitchen.

"Oh honey, I was just thinking about you," Madeline smiled.

Jazz took a seat at the table and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

"How long have you been up? Don't you have class in the morning?"

"I just wanted to make sure you guys actually came home tonight."

Madeline pursed her lips and looked down at her hands. She and Jack haven't been around much on a count of new partnerships popping up for their ghost-hunting equipment. Things haven't really been the same since her son saved the world. Speaking of.

"How's Danny?" Maddie asked.

"He's fine. Sleeping. I had to stitch him up, he had a nasty injury."

Madeline gritted her teeth in frustration. She wanted to catch this ghost even more now for hurting her precious baby boy. The mother vowed to stay up all night researching all she could about their suspect. Madeline's revenge plot was interrupted by a loud yawn from Jazz.

"I need to talk to you about something but I think I'm going to go back to bed," the young woman stated.

"Sure honey! We can talk in the morning. Sweet dreams!"

Madeline watched her daughter retreat into her room, before taking a peek at the clock. 1:06? The night is just beginning! Maddie jumped up and made her way downstairs into their laboratory for the rest of the night. A moment of silence as the deadliest night in Amity Park history came to an end. Just a moment though.

**PAGE BREAK**

Danny woke up and felt like…Shit. A pounding headache as soon as he opened his eyes was not how he wanted to start the morning. The boy's top and bottom along with his sheets were completely soaked with sweat. It looked like he peed himself. He took a peek down at his injury and saw the gauze was slightly bloody. At least he didn't wake up in a bloody bed. Somebody tell me again why I'm attempting to go to school right now? Oh right because Mr. Lancer threatened to suspend him if he was late again. Danny sighed and threw the blanket off his legs. Maybe a cool shower would solve his problems. Daniel heard the chirping of birds as he passed the window, he glanced out to the empty streets. It was usually filled with life on such a beautiful morning but it seems the incident last night scared everyone away.

Danny let the cold water run over his stiff body. Images of last night flashed through his mind like a slideshow; it only reminded him of his ineptness during the fight. And the poor souls that paid the price for his actions. He wished he could take it all back. A wish from Desiree didn't sound too bad right now. He washed over the past scars of previous battles and winced when he neared his most recent injury. It hasn't stopped hurting since he got it. Danny jumped out of the shower and dried himself off. He opened the medicine cabinet and popped two Advils for the pain.

When he was finally dressed, the teen walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Jazz wasn't at her usual spot at the table and wondered if she slept in. No sign of his parents so that meant no prepared breakfast either. Danny scarfed down a banana and a peanut butter protein bar, with a big cup of orange juice. He glanced at the clock and nearly spit out his drink. 25 minutes till the start of homeroom. Danny cursed at his tardiness and ran out of the house, and down the block to the bus stop.

Please still be here, Danny pleaded to the heavens. He saw the yellow vehicle approaching his stop, and kicked it up a notch into a full sprint. Fenton made it just in time to board the bus out of breath like he just ran a marathon.

"Thank you," he chirped to the driver.

The packed bus hushed to whispers and mumbling at the rare sight of Daniel Fenton. Danny strides down the aisle of staring teenagers, they acted like he had two heads. Fenton couldn't blame them; they've never seen their beloved hero get his ass absolutely kicked. Or the mass casualty event that also occurred. Danny found an empty seat near the middle and dropped down in a huff. The bus resumed its journey to school but the volume inside never rose past whispering. Danny peered out the window at the passing cars and businesses. He rarely took the bus; the transportation being replaced with the quicker and more fun alternative, flying. This morning definitely wasn't a flying morning though.

Danny got off the bus and scanned the area for his friends. He slipped through the hustle and bustle of the large highschool in search of them. Daniel spotted them by their lockers and headed over immediately. Sam gave him a sweet smile and Tucker dapped him up. He was actually glad to be in school today, it took his mind off the events of last night. Seeing Tucker and Sam definitely put him in a happy mood.

"How are you feeling?" Sam inquired.

"My fucking side is killing me," Danny answered quickly.

"Figured. You looked like a damn leper hobbling over here," Tucker chuckled.

"Yeah? You try getting shot," Danny joked back.

"An intriguing proposal BUT I have a better idea!" Tucker announced, as he put his arm around Danny's shoulder. "We can have the BEST senior year in Amity Park HISTORY!"

Passing students gave the yelling man strange looks and Danny couldn't help but roll his eyes. Tucker got way too excited sometimes.

"You are WAY too happy about school right now… It's making me wanna throw up," Sam intervened.

"To each their own," Tucker murmured, before turning back to Danny. "Think about it Danny; girls, cars, senior trips, P-R-O-M!"

Danny didn't really understand where his friend was going with this specatale.

"Junior year changed everything for us and now that we're seniors; it's time to reap those rewards!"

"God Tuck, keep it in your pants," Sam groaned.

"You're just jealous that Danny and I are now the cool kids."

Sam rolled her eyes as she closed her locker. The trio began to walk to homeroom, whilst Tucker preached his heart out about how much of a "movie" this year was going to be.

"Listen ladies and gents, it's going to be a crazy year!"

Danny was too busy laughing at Tucker's crazed speech to notice Dash stomping towards him, the teen walked right into the jock. The unaware boy nearly fell over, it was like he walked into a brick wall. Danny had ghost powers and he'll never know how Dash became the beast he was. What did they feed that boy?

"What are you laughing at, FenTURD?" the blonde snapped.

Danny sighed, "look Dash I'm really not in the mood to go at it with you. And what happened to last year? You were all buddy-buddy with me."

"Until you fucked it up last night!" he yelled.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You ran away like the loser I always knew you to be!"

Danny was even more confused now and the big idiot wasn't clearing anything up.

"Are you talking about the fight? I didn't run away; what the hell are you talking about?" Danny argued.

"Oh yeah? In the video, it sure looked like you pussied out and flew away. Which led to MY dad and all his co-workers getting caught in the crossfire."

Danny froze. His eyes slowly widened in realization of Dash's statement. Dash's dad is a cop? By this time, a crowd of people had surrounded the arguing duo.

"You're the reason he didn't come home… You got my dad killed, Fenton!"

Danny's heart skipped a beat and he felt like walls were closing in around him.

"Oh piss off, Dash! Danny had nothing to do with your dad's death!" Sam defended.

"You gonna let your cumrag take the heat for you, Fenton?" Dash insulted harshly.

Danny growled menacingly. He didn't give a crap about what anyone else said about him. But he won't sit by and let people talk bad about his friends. Fenton stepped forward with narrowed eyes.

"Can you go one day without being an absolute douchebag?"

"Oh yeah?" Dash taunted as he shoved Danny back. "At least I'm not a fucking pussy that got innocent people killed."

CRACK!

Danny didn't know what came over him in that instant; it was like his hand had a mind of its own. Fenton's fist collided with Dash's jaw in under a second, sending him tumbling onto the floor. It took Danny a moment to realize what he just did. He glanced down at an angry Dash, who was already getting back onto his feet. The blonde spit out blood and wiped the corner of his mouth; giving Danny his best death stare.

"You're dead, Fenton."

Danny backed up with his hands in the air, attempting to apologize for hitting the jock. He wanted to mediate the situation before it turned into a shitstorm. The last thing he wanted was Mr. Lancer to be on his ass for yet another disruption. Dash wasn't having it though; he was marching right up to Fenton. All gloves were off.

"I'm sorry, Das-"

The halfa was cut off by Dash burying his fist into his gut. Danny choked on air, or rather lack of it as his lungs were drained of any and all oxygen. His stitches were ripped open from the brutal impact, sending Danny into mind-numbing agony. He dropped to his knees, holding his stomach. Sam and Tucker rushed forward to stop the fight but they were blocked by Dash's cronies. Dash grabbed a fistful of Danny's hair and held the teen's head still as he delivered a powerful knee to his face. Daniel fell to his side blocking his face and body from any more damage.

"No!" Sam yelled. "Stop it!"

Dash began to kick and stomp Danny's back and stomach relentlessly.

"LEAVE HIM THE FUCK ALONE!" Sam screamed at the top of her lungs.

Several teachers came out of their rooms to break up the crowd. Dash noticed mister Lancer marching towards the circle center. He waved for his crew to follow him. The blonde glared down at the whimpering teen and spat on him out of hatred.

"It should've been you, freak."

Sam rushed to Danny's side and attempted to render aid to him. The goth girl had tears in her ears as she shook him awake.

"Danny? Danny! Are you okay?"

"I think so…"

Sam's hand passed over a thick wetness and she glanced down to see blood soaking through the boy's shirt. A small puddle of red was already forming underneath Danny.

"Oh god, you're bleeding!"

Sam applied pressure on the reopened wound as best she could. Danny gasped out in pain and writhed under Sam's rough touch. The ghost boy was in so much damn agony, it made him dizzy from the feeling alone. A series of stabbing sensations sat in his stomach like he was being shivved in the intestines. He thought his guts were hanging out for the world to see. How could a graze hurt so much. The only bright side was he wasn't suffering the consequences of actually being shot. Though the outcome was sounding more and more like the better one. Death truly sounded more pleasant than the pain he was feeling now.

"What is going on- oh god!" Lancer shouted. "We need a nurse here right now!"

That was the last thing the teen heard before blacking out from the pain. And to think he was trying his best to avoid the man. Now that was irony in its finest element. Finally it was silent in the halfa's mind as he succumbed to shock.
