(Flashback) May 2, 1998

On the battlefield in Hogwarts, Esmerelda was running in the corridors trying to look for Severus. "Severus, where are you!" Upon locating him in the boat house, Esmerelda was too late, she discovered that Nagini had killed him (on Voldemort's orders), and she breakdowns into tears.

She flees from the battle, carrying Severus's body without being seen. "I made a promise to myself that I was going to protect Severus, but I was too late. I've lost him." She was being followed by Evelina (who was looking for her and Severus).

Erickson attempts to console her, but she angrily brushed him off and said to him, " You've should have not become a death eater in the first place! I never wanted to see you again!" Angered by his betrayal, Esmerelda tells him to leave, after the battle was over. Evelina comforts her, as she continued to mourn the loss of her husband.

(Aftermath of the battle) May 10, 1998

Severus was given a private funeral, where Esmerelda reads the eulogy;

"Severus Snape is a good husband, who was known for being a professor in Hogwarts and the head of Slytherin, but we will never forget him for his bravery and the teachings he taught to his students.

Severus, you will always be there for us, and that you're a good professor.

I'm gonna miss you."

The only attendees of the funeral is Edwin and Esther, Eileen, Beatrice Serpentine and Lauren Lily (Eileen's friends from Hogwarts) and Evelina. "My dad will always be there for me. I can't believe he's gone," said Evelina's thoughts.

"Professor Snape will always be my professor and the head of Slytherin. Farewell, my good friend," said Eileen's thoughts. Eileen was the only student who is not afraid of Snape, but she does admire him for his teaching.
