A knocking at the door slowly wakes me up from my slumber. It takes me a second to realize the situation around me.

I'm in my bed, Cappie splayed out fast asleep beside me.

I look down at myself and then lift the covers up slightly to look at him.

Okay cool, I had some of his pajama pants on and a tank top. He had boxers on.

I'm remembering back to last night, remembering that we'd just gone to sleep.

For some reason the knocking doesn't even faze Cappie which makes me snicker. He could sleep through anything.

I get out of my bed, my hair most likely a mess, and walk to the front door, my belly making me wobble around slightly.

I open the door and see Rusty staring back at me.

"God Rusty it's like 8am on a Saturday", I groan. "And I'm tired, and pregnant".

"Sorry", He laughs. "I thought you'd be up by now".

He looks me up and down.

"What?", I'm slightly offended by his stare.

"Nothing you look… good", He nods, stifling a laugh in.

"Ugh Rusty, don't lie to me! I'm wearing Cappie's pajamas because nothing else fits! And I look seven months pregnant and like I just woke up, because guess what, I did!"

"Remember when you said living in the same building together was going to be so much fun?", Rusty reminds me sarcastically and I soften then, a grin taking over my face as I laugh.

"Sorry, I'm just cranky first thing in the morning", I wave it off. "What's going on?"

"Well…" He grins. "Me and Dale are inviting you guys to our Thanksgiving dinner tonight!"

"Oh cool, I kinda figured you guys would", I shrug. "Since Dale has been telling me about it for weeks every time I see him in the elevator".

Rusty's face falls then.

"Aw I thought it would be a really awesome surprise but… guess not", Rusty sighs.

"Did I hear the word surprise?", Cappie comes into the living room now, having put a shirt on to go with his boxers. "You know I love surprises".

His hair looks just as tousled up as my own.

"Really?", I point to my belly. "You weren't too jazzed about this one at first".

Me and Rusty both laugh then.

"Hey, neither were you little lady", Cap laughs at me and takes a mug out of the kitchen cupboard and starts to make coffee.

"Fair", I nod.

"I was just telling Casey that me and Dale are having a little Thanksgiving dinner tonight and you and Case are invited", Rusty smiles.

"Oh yeah, Daley's been telling me about that everytime we go for our Sunday morning jogs", Cappie smiles.

"You guys have been going on jogs?", Rusty looks almost sad. "No one invited me".

"Dale said you have bad legs, something about an injury in middle school?", Cappie shrugs.

I snicker then.

"Don't start, Case. It's a real thing!", Rusty groans.

"That's just what my parents told him to explain to him why he couldn't make any of the teams, not even curling", I explain to Cappie.

"What's curling?", Cap laughs.

"Some Canadian sport involving ice, which Rusty slipped and fell on", I say with a laugh.

"You know what guys, I'm gonna go tell someone that cares about my Thanksgiving invitation", Rusty stalks off to the front door.

"Aw don't go Rus!", I stop him. "We're just messing with you, we are really happy you guys are hosting".

"Yeah if Dale's cooking it'll be much better than last years thanksgiving dinner at KT", Cappie smirks.

Candy, chips, and alcohol were what last years makeshift thanksgiving dinner at KT consisted of.

But I couldn't complain about last years thanksgiving. It was probably the most magical weekend of my life, Cappie finally declaring that he wanted to be with me. Spending the whole weekend with him being back together in secret, sneaking him out of the ZBZ house early the next morning so Rebecca didn't see.

"Although I am partial to how that Thanksgiving night ended", Cappie looks over at me to give me a grin, reading my mind. My face turns hot as I look back at him.

"We'll definitely be there tonight Rusty", I smile. "Too bad Ash went home yesterday and Calvin too right?"

"Yeah they did but a ton of the KT guys are coming over, and I was going to ask you if you think I should invite Rebecca? Although… that probably means Evan's gonna be her plus one", Rusty asks us.

Me and Cappie look at each other and Cappie sighs.

"Well… as much as I'm not Evan's biggest fan, he does have absolutely no family to spend thanksgiving with", Cappie says. "Something I know pretty well".

"And I'm sure Rebecca didn't go home", I add.

"Well I guess we'll ask them then", Rusty smiles. "Our Thanksgiving is kind of supposed to be a safe haven for people whose families abandoned them this year".

"Rusty", I laugh. "Our parents didn't abandon us, they just went to Aunt Cindy's in Minnesota. They asked us to go too but we both made lame excuses to get out of it".

"Yeah if you really want to see abandoned", Cappie says with a smirk, pointing to himself. "Look no further".

"Sorry Cap", I frown.

"Oh it's no problem. I've spent every Thanksgiving of the past 4 years at KT and each one has been awesome. I can't wait to see the brothers tonight", Cappie smiles. "Think Dale will be able to handle them?"

"I think he'll manage", Rusty laughs. "He already told me this morning that God created Thanksgiving so that the pilgrims and Indians could come together".

"Who are we? The pilgrims or the Indians?", Cap laughs.

"Apparently the KTs are the Indians", Rusty shrugs with a grin.

"That feels right", Cappie plays along and I laugh too.

"Well… I can make my famous chocolate chip cookies for dessert?", I smile which is met with a grossed out look from Rusty. "What?!"

"Case your cookies are only famous because you always mess them up", Rusty says rather sassily.

"Hey!", I cross my arms.

"Last time you put double the salt in!", Rusty says. "It was like eating play doh!"

Cappie snickers along.

"I mistook it for the sugar okay?", I argue. "I only realized after".

Rusty laughs then.

"You know what, you should probably just leave it to me and Dale. Dales already started 3 different types of pies", Rusty says.

"Pies are right up our alley, aren't they Case?", Cappie gives me a mischievous grin.

"Yeah I could go for some pie right now actually", I smile back.

Rusty looks back and forth at the two of us.

"Am I missing something? Is pie some sort of double entendre or…?", Rus shrugs.

"Nope, I just really like pie", I lie and go into the kitchen to put some toast in the toaster.

"Well, see you tonight guys! Dale only alloted me 10 minutes to talk to you guys. I'm supposed to report back at 8:30 sharp to start the stuffing and if it's not up to his standards he'll go ballistic", Rusty rolls his eyes.

"Okay see ya tonight Spitter!", Cappie says.

"Bye Rus! And if mom and dad call you, I'm very busy today volunteering", I remind him.

"Oh that's cool, you're volunteering?"

"Um… not in the traditional sense", I say awkwardly.

"So it's a lie then?", Rusty gives me a playful glare, eyebrows raised.

"I'm volunteering my womb to growing a baby, alright?!", I argue. "I'll volunteer next year when I can actually move around better. This year I think I get a free pass".

"No problem, I'll lie to mom and dad and tell them you're busy", Rusty laughs.

"You're the best!"

"See ya", He shakes his head and is out the door.

Me and Cappie are left then, both of us still looking like we just rolled out of bed. Because… we did.

"So… are you… hungry for pie right now?", Cappie comes up behind me at the counter and I can tell he's smirking just by the tone of his voice.

When he spins me around I see that I'm right.

"Mmm hmm. Starving actually", I grin then and my toast pops out of the toaster, startling me.

I stare at it for a moment.

"It can wait until after", I say, and then lean up to kiss Cappie.

His hands find my waist and I can feel the smile on his lips through his kiss, causing me to grin too.

He scoops me up under my butt and plops me down on the counter.

"In here?", I gesture around to our kitchen we're currently in when I pull away from his lips.

"Yeah why not?", He looks down at me devilishly with a shrug. "It's our own Thanksgiving tradition".

"We only made out in the kitchen last year because the whole house had gone home for the weekend", I give him a look. "And if my memory serves me right we eventually ended up in my bedroom".

"If you didn't remember that night I'd be concerned that you may have memory loss considering the sheer amount of times that we-", Cappie starts, sin in his eyes, but I put my finger over his lips.

"Oh I remember, trust me", I giggle and lean in to take his lips into mine.

Next thing I know Cappie's getting my pants off, well technically his pants that I was wearing. I tug at the bottom of his shirt while we kiss until he takes the hint and helps me pull it off over his head. He hoists me up, only in my white underwear and tank top now.

I breathe in sharply as he nibbles at the side of my neck.

"Cap…", I laugh with a playful groan. "If you leave a mark on my neck again, our friends are gonna notice tonight and we're never gonna hear the end of it".

He stops then and comes back up to meet my eyes.

"Shit, you're right", He nods, thinking it over before lifting me up, bringing me forward into his arms as my legs wrap around his waist.

"Cap!", I squeal in surprise as he walks down the hall with me in his arms.

"I'm gonna have to leave marks where people can't see", He smirks at me and then lays me down gently on my bed. "Which means this".

He gestures down to my tank top.

"Has got to go", He smiles wickedly.

I grin, the both of us getting it off over my head so Cappie's lips can roam down my breasts.

"Much better", He says in a slurred manner, his lips too busy to care about speaking clearly right now.

We're getting dressed now and I'm trying to put together a decent outfit which seemed like an impossible feat at 7 months pregnant.

I pick out a black long sleeve dress, high boots and pair two necklaces with it and some earrings.

Cappie comes in the room then letting out a whistle and I laugh.

"Wow if you weren't already pregnant I'd worry about trying to keep myself from doing it again", He jokes as he does up the buttons on his shirt.

I give him a look with a roll of my eyes.

"Oh c'mon. I'm like… huge", I sigh.

"Yeah because you're gonna have the baby soon", He smiles. "You're glowing".

"Well thank you", I grin.

My hair had grown longer, more shiny. My nails longer and more lustrous. My skin had never been more clear in my life too which was a perk. Probably the only perks of being pregnant that I've had.

"You don't clean up so bad yourself Captain John Paul", I joke with him, a giggle escaping my lips every time I brought up his real name.

"I so regret telling you my legal name", He laughs, shaking his head.

"I needed it for the hospital paperwork", I grin. "Plus now I don't have to tell people that I don't even know the name of the guy I'm having a baby with. That had me feeling a little slutty".

He scoffs then at my joke.

"So if Evan says anything tonight… am I allowed permission to start swinging?", Cappie half jokes.

"Pilgrims and Indians remember?", I remind him.

"But he's just such an ass", Cap groans.

"Maybe he'll surprise us and be decent today", I shrug with a sigh.

"Let's hope so", Cappie nods and turns around to leave the room so we can go, but I stop him, putting my hand on his arm.

"Hey Cap?"

"Yeah?"

I lean up to kiss him softly then, taking his bottom lip in mine as he kisses me back.

"Mmm. What was that for?", He smirks when we part.

"I won't be able to kiss you there so I need to get one in now", I giggle against his lips as he kisses me again.

"Alright, you ready to go Case?", He smiles as we pull away from each other.

"Yep", I nod.

We bring a bottle of wine with us because we really had nothing else to bring.

We go the short elevator ride down to Rusty and Dale's place since I was not about to try to get my pregnant self down the stairs if I could avoid it.

When we knock on the door, Dale answers it pretty much right away to our surprise.

"Hey Daley", Cappie smiles at him but Dale ignores him to rest his eyes on me instead, looking entranced by me in this tight black dress.

"I am so glad to see you Casey", He smiles at me, his eyes rising from my feet up to my head looking like a spell has been cast on him. His eyes stop on my chest.

Cappie gives me a look then.

"Well thanks for inviting us Dale", I smile and hand him the bottle of wine.

"Thanks! I'm glad you guys left the cooking to me, I've got millions of Kettlewell family recipes at the ready. Your tastebuds are gonna be in heaven today", He smiles at us. "C'mon in".

As Dale goes back over to the kitchen, Cappie stops me, giving me a look.

"He totally just stared at your boobs", Cappie whispers to me with a scoff, looking slightly annoyed.

"Yeah I know but who cares", I laugh. "It's Dale".

"Hey guys!", Rusty interrupts me and Cappie's little side conversation.

"Hey Rus", I give him a quick hug. "I guess we're the first ones here?"

"Yeah you guys are", Rusty nods.

"We're officially those people who show up to a party on time", Cappie laughs.

"Look at you guys, turning into parents already", Rusty laughs. "If you guys want you can help me set the table?"

"Sure", we both say at the same time.

Once we get the table looking good, me and Cap find a place to sit on their couch/ futon that almost all of us have used as a bed at one point.

"Everything smells super good Dale", I say.

"Case is starving, I can see it in her eyes", Cappie makes fun of me.

"I have to eat like two dinners now to actually feel full", I laugh. "So yes, no one judge how much I put on my plate".

"No worries", Dale says. "There's more than enough food Casey. Rusty told me this morning how excited you were for the pie, so I made you your own for you and Cappie to take home. I had no idea you were such a pie fan, coincidentally so am I".

I look at Cappie then, him stifling in a laugh, giving me a mischievous grin.

"Wow that's so thoughtful. Thanks Dale. And yeah… I love pie", I nod awkwardly.

"Case would have pie three times a day if she could", Cappie laughs in that way he does and then shoots me a mischievous glance. "Actually I'm pretty sure you have before, haven't you?"

We hear a knock on the door then and I'm thankful for whoever it is because I didn't want to talk anymore about what pie did or did not mean.

"Oh look, someone's here!", I croak and sit up, evading Cappie's comment.

Rusty opens it to find Beaver and Katherine.

"Katherine?!", I smile and go over to the door, Cap following me.

"ZBZ!", She smiles. "Good to see you! Walter here invited me and I just couldn't resist, family in Connecticut be damned".

She looks over at Beaver like a lovesick puppy.

"Walter?", Rusty questions.

"That's my real name", Beaver smiles, looking just as smitten with Katherine.

"Nice to see you two together", Cappie gives them a nod.

"Yes me and Walter have been exploring all sides of a consensual adult relationship lately", Katherine says as if describing a research topic.

Me and Cappie share a knowing glance then, a slightly weirded out look on Cappie's face.

"That's… awesome", Cappie nods and pats Beaver on the back. "Beaver's just been waiting to find the right girl, thank god you came along".

"It does feel like fate doesn't it?", She sighs dreamily. "Well anyways I brought my zucchini bread. Chocolate flavoured this time".

Considering the fact that me and Cappie couldn't even get through the last zucchini bread that she'd put in the gift basket she gave me a couple weeks ago, I would be staying far away from it.

"Yum!", I give my best fake excitement.

"Thanks Katherine", Rusty takes the cake pan from her to bring to the kitchen.

"Oh, and Rusty… I hope this isn't awkward for you. Me bringing my new lover into your home", She says. "I just hope we can get past it and that they'll be no fighting over me today".

I share another look with Cappie, putting my hand over my mouth to conceal a laugh.

"Oh don't worry Katherine", Rusty waves it off. "We're good. Beavers my friend and you're my friend. I think it's great".

"Amazing, I was worried for nothing!", She looks at Beaver who smiles giddily.

"Isn't she pretty?", Beaver smiles, looking to Cappie.

"Totally", Cap nods, happy for Beav. "We're both lucky guys aren't we Beav?"

Cappie looks at me when he says that and I give him a look with a shake of my head.

There's knocks on the door then and more KT brothers come flooding in by what seems like the thousands.

Once they're here I go to stand by Katherine in the kitchen considering the guys are all talking about something to do with the annual turkey hunt and whatever else the KTs talked about.

"How awesome is this Casey?", Katherine says. "Both of us have the coolest, hottest boyfriends in the whole school. I mean they're both like Abercrombie and Fitch models!"

"I'm standing right here", Dale sighs behind us.

I laugh at the two of them.

"I told you Katherine, me and Cappie are just spending so much time together because of the baby. We're… still feeling out our exact relationship", I say to her.

"Well I hope you two can work it out. I want you to be happy ZBZ", She smiles.

"Thanks Katherine. I actually… am happy", I say, surprising myself. "Weirdly".

The door opens again then and Rebecca and Evan show up.

The vibe in the room shifts as the KT guys pipe down, all realizing Evan has entered the room.

"I know what you guys are thinking", Evan comes over to them. "But I'm not even in Omega Chi anymore, I'm an alum. And I'm not here to cause any drama. Me and Rebecca are just here because we both can't stand the idea of spending this holiday with our families".

"Why, because they hate you more than we do Bing?", Beaver shoots back at him.

"Beav", Cappie says, giving him a look that says to stop.

"No it's okay, I guess I deserve that. I just want us to get along well enough for everyone's sake", Evan sighs.

The KTs just stare back at him until Rebecca butts in.

"If you have a problem with Evan, you'll have to go through me first", She moves to stand in front of him. "Got it?"

She gives them all a stare down to which they nod up and down, scared of Rebecca.

"Good", Rebecca's stern look changes to a smile now and she locks arms with Evan pulling him over to the kitchen.

"Hey Rebecca", I wave at her.

"Oh hey Casey", She smiles. "Me and Evan didn't see you at the volunteering booth today".

I give her a look then, crossing my arms.

"I've been a little busy lately", I give her a look.

"Me too. You know with 4 classes and running the best sorority on campus", She boasts. "What did you do today?"

Hooked up with my friends with benefits baby daddy. No that doesn't sound good.

"I put together my hospital bag, I used the cute Louis Vuitton one you got me. Then had some laundry to do", I shrug. "Relaxed a bit".

She puts her hands on her hips and I groan.

"Rebecca if I'm not too busy with my baby, next year I'll volunteer. How's that?"

"That works", She smiles. "How is… it?"

"The baby?", I laugh. "She's good I think, moving around a lot".

"Great", Rebecca smiles.

"Yeah that's great Case", Evan slips in, probably trying to be on his best behaviour now.

I give him a look, trying to let him know that I'm apprehensive about his sudden ability to be happy about this pregnancy now.

"Evangeline…", Cappie comes over then, giving Evan a curt smile. "I feel like I have to come over here, make you you keep your word about not saying anything hurtful to Case".

"I promise, I wouldn't ever try to hurt you guys", Evan looks at us, serious. "I genuinely wish the best for you and I'd love to meet her when she's here".

"Well… thank you", I nod. "And for sure, I'd love for you and Rebecca to come meet her".

I smile at the both of them, despite their flaws, still happy to see them here today.

"Yeah I'm definitely not gonna be there for the gross hospital part, but once it's cleaned up and stuff, sure", She smiles.

I almost let out a laugh over the way Rebecca says 'it' like the baby's some sort of foreign alien creature.

"Sure, that's fine Rebecca", I laugh.

"And as much as we support you living out your picket fence dreams, without the actual picket fence", Rebecca looks around with her nose in the air, gesturing to the apartment building we're all in. "I'm not gonna have time to babysit".

"That's okay, I didn't expect you to", I give her a look.

"Well me and Walter would be up for a little babysitting", Katherine interjects.

"Well…", I make a face. "Walter… may have to get used to the baby first… but if you're gonna be there supervising the whole thing, I think I could approve that".

I smile at her.

"Great, Walter is such a kids person", Katherine blushes.

"Sorry is it inappropriate for me to ask who the hell Walter is? Is he your imaginary friend?", Rebecca looks at Katherine, confused.

"Actually Rebecca, you know Walter pretty well. Better than most of us if I can say that…", Cappie gives her a look, not coming right out to say that Rebecca had slept with him but pretty well hinting at it.

"Cap", Evan gives Cappie a stern look.

"Wait a sec? You mean Beaver?", Rebecca laughs. "Oh, wow. I didn't know he had a real name".

"Me either", I laugh.

"Dinners ready!", Dale just about screams, startling all of us.

The KTs practically lunge over the couch to get to the food.

"Hold on!", Dale shouts so loud that anyone else in this building would for sure hear. "This is a sacred day and a sacred meal I've prepared!"

He holds his arms out, covering the food, looking at them all seriously.

"That we prepared Dale", Rusty looks annoyed, but Dale ignores him, too focused on the KTs.

"Despite your obvious caveman like tendencies… I expect you to behave like civilized human beings in me and Rusty's home. Everyone got it?", Dale finishes his speech.

"Guys listen to Dale. That means no food fights, no putting food in your pockets for later, and Pickle! You're using cutlery today, alright? I don't wanna hear anything about it", Cappie stands in front of them all, talking sternly with them.

I have to keep from laughing at this whole display, not only because it was funny, but also because, even though Cappie doesn't know it, he has always had all the makings of a dad.

"Okay Cap", Pickle nods.

"Good, best behaviour guys. Spitter and Dale have been nice enough to have us here. And we all know at home we'd be eating beef jerky and potato chips so appreciate this", Cappie directs them and then goes over to Dale. "Don't worry Dale, they can listen when they want to".

For some reason Cappie's whole leadership display ignites a sort of fire in me. Maybe it was seeing him do dad like things, or maybe it was just crazy pregnant hormonal me, but this was really turning me on. As if I hadn't already had enough of him today.

I hang back with Katherine, Rebecca, Evan and Rusty while the KTs fill up their plates and Dale watches anxiously.

"Here you go Case. Got you your favorite things before the guys completely eat Dale out of house and home", Cappie comes over to me to hand me a plate with a smirk on his face.

"Aw thanks Cap", I smile at him.

He'd gotten me a big helping of mac n cheese, which he knew was my favorite.

"You girls should dig in, just ignore the guys, you can just push them out of the way", Cappie says to us. "And when I say girls I'm including you in that too Evan".

Cappie gives Evan a sarcastic look and Evan just shakes his head.

"Why'd I come here again?", Evan asks jokingly.

"Because our parents suck", Rebecca smiles and makes her way over to the counter to get some food.

I bring my plate over to the table to sit down and Cappie comes to sit beside me, with Rusty on my other side.

Once we're all seated, Dale makes us hold hands and say a prayer, during which the KT guys make a multitude of jokes, and even fart. Needless to say, Dale definitely didn't appreciate that.

"This is so good Dale", I moan as I dig into the stuffing and turkey.

"Oh I made the stuffing", Rusty smiles.

"Yeah only under my guidance", Dale scoffs. "If I left it up to you, we'd all be eating a soggy pile of mush right now".

Rusty just scoffs and takes a swig of his beer.

"I'd like to propose that we take part in one of my family's thanksgiving traditions", Dale tries to rally everyone, sitting at the head of the table. "We always go around and say what we're thankful for this year".

"Ooh I'll start", Rebecca says sarcastically across the table from me and grabs Evan's arm. "I'm thankful for my hot law school boyfriend. And also that I'm skinny and not pregnant".

"Very funny", I roll my eyes. "Well I'm just thankful that my baby's healthy".

I give Rebecca a look then, crossing my arms.

"Oh me next!", Kathryn cooes. "I'm thankful for the new man in my life. If I haven't mentioned it already me and Walter have become lovers".

"Oh really? I didn't realize", Anthony Hopkins says sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

"Really? I've told you all like… a lot of times now", Beaver says to him, not understanding the sarcasm. "Anyways I'm thankful for Katherine letting me see her naked".

We all laugh then.

"I'm thankful for KT", Pickle smiles. "And that I don't own a single stupid blazer".

Pickle directs that comment at Evan.

"Well I'm thankful that I graduated and am in law school", Evan says.

"You know when my grandparents and aunts and uncles play this game it's a lot less vicious", Dale sighs. "I'm thankful for having God in my life".

"Yeah of course you are", Rusty mutters with a slight laugh. "I'm… not really sure what I'm thankful for since I currently have no girlfriend, no love life at all actually. And… my wire is gone now too so…"

"Well that's depressing", Rebecca scoffs.

"C'mon Rusty, aren't you thankful you're gonna be an uncle?", I smile at him.

"Oh yeah… you're right! I'm thankful to have a beautiful niece on the way", Rusty smiles.

"I'd like to echo Rusty's sentiment", Cappie smiles. "I'm thankful to have Casey and the baby in my life and… to have a new place that we can bring her home to".

I put my hand on Cappie's leg under the table.

I didn't think it could be done but I think this Thanksgiving actually tops last years.

Everyone's gone home now and it's just me, Cappie, Dale, and Rusty.

Me and Cappie were helping Dale and Rusty clean up. Okay… actually just helping Rusty clean up because Dale said that since he cooked, Rusty and the two of us can clean the kitchen. Which I suppose was fair. He also uttered something about his bad back again.

"Hey Case!", Rusty calls me over to him while I dry the dishes that Cappie hands me after he washes them. "I almost forgot. It's a Cartwright tradition to do the wishbone".

He holds up the wishbone from the plate of what's left of the turkey.

"Aw, you remembered!", I smile, coming over to him.

"Last year you won, so maybe this year I'll get to make a wish", Rusty smiles and I turn around to look at Cappie, remembering how last years wish really did come true.

Me and Rusty each pull on a side as I break off the bigger piece.

"Yay!", I exclaim with a laugh.

"Dammit! I have no luck", Rusty laughs.

"So what are you gonna wish for Case?", Cappie gives me a smile as he dries a casserole dish.

"If I tell you it won't come true", I purse my lips, giving him a smirk.

I hold up the wishbone in my hand then, unsure what to wish for.

"You know what Rusty… ", I sigh. "I think you should have it".

I hand it to him.

"What?", Rusty scoffs. "Why?"

"I just realized I don't have anything to wish for", I shrug. "I already have everything I want".

I smile at Cappie then.

It was true. I really couldn't ask for anything more. I mean I suppose I could ask for things to go back to normal. For me to be going to GW law school, for my life to not be uprooted by an unplanned pregnancy as soon as I turned 22. But that wasn't what I wanted at all anymore. Maybe that was incredibly stupid and naive, but the life I had right now was exactly what I needed for the time being.
