When Saphira returned to the mansion after her first shift, she was glad that her mother and father were not there to greet her. She wanted to be alone when she got home, and locked her bedroom door once she returned to her room. Everything from the previous night was just racing through her mind. Everything that she was thinking about even made it hard for her to focus on driving, which was not a good thing, but it really was hard to not think about it. Especially as everything she had thought about the animatronics in the past might be wrong. But Saphira did not know if the animatronics were evil inherently, because Saphira knew that the animatronics were made by a human. So it wouldn't be right to blame them. But that didn't mean she was not fearful of her next shift.
She stood in the shower of her ensuite for a couple hours before her weariness finally got the better of her and Saphira would go to bed. Even though she was tired from her first shift, Saphira was restless as she tried to get the rest she needed for her next shift. But she was somehow able to get the sleep she needed, because she felt okay when she woke up a couple hours before her next shift. Tonight, she wouldn't need to be there early, since her shifts now start at nine.
When she began to get herself ready for the night, Saphira noticed her parents and sister were not in the house. She had expected her parents to say more stuff to her about her job, but they were avoiding her again, and she was fine with that. She made herself some sandwiches, as the sandwiches she made for her previous shift were not good to eat anymore, so she had to make new ones. She hoped she could get to eat these ones tonight, but that would remain to be seen. Especially as Saphira was still shaken by what she had seen on her first shift.
Once she was ready and wearing her uniform, Saphira held the necklace in her hand and stared at the pendent. She knew in her heart that Springtrap likely would remember her, given what she has seen. But since Springtrap did not actually see her on her first shift, he would not know what she looked like. So she was not sure if they would see each other at all properly this week. But Saphira did want to. Despite her fear, she was extremely curious about the animatronics.
Putting the necklace on like she had the night before, Saphira hid the pendent under her shirt and grabbed her jacket to take with her before making her way out of the mansion to her car. She had quite a lot of questions that she wanted to ask Mike tonight about the animatronics, and she hoped she would get some answers from him. But she did wonder if he would even be allowed to tell anyone, given he was the manager. That would depend on the boss, and what rules he had to follow from the owner of the restaurant. Though given the fact the animatronics might be living beings, it made sense that Mike could be restrained from saying anything, because it is the person who made the animatronics would be making the rules. So Saphira knew she would need to be careful when asking questions.
Saphira made sure she had everything with her once she was in her car before she drove away from the mansion. She kept her mind as calm as possible when driving through the city to the attraction. It was hard to jot be calm, but she did her best. Especially as returning to the pizzeria tonight had a very different feeling than it should be. She wasn't excited like she was the day before. The nostalgia she felt about returning to the pizzeria was long gone as well. The new knowledge she had has really completely turned what she knew about the pizzeria on its head.
She soon saw the neon lit sign of the pizzeria by the entrance of the car lot, and Saphira shivered upon seeing the entrance. She felt goose bumps over her body, and she took a deep breath before she even reached the entrance itself to turn into the parking lot to begin searching for a place to park her car. She couldn't believe how the previous shift had affected her so much already, but she never expected to go to her job to hear a person being killed and seeing part of the bloody aftermath. No one expects that.
Shaking her head to refocus as best as she could, Saphira drove through the parking lot slowly until she found a space to park the car. Once she was parked, Saphira took a deep breath and gripped the steering wheel in front of her to give herself a bit of time to regather her thoughts. She knew that she might not have a bad night tonight, but that would remain to be seen. Especially as it seemed that the animatronics knew very well that they could enter the office whenever they wanted to.
She glanced at her watch and she saw there was five minutes until it would be nine. She had to go in or she would be in trouble. She gathered her things and stepped out of the car before locking it behind her. She shivered a little as the air was cool, and she walked towards the back door. She glanced towards the front door, looking up at the sign and wishing she did not know the other side of this attraction. And she hoped that Mike would give her answers about it as well.
Approaching the back door felt strange to her, given that she was nervous to enter the building. But she needed the job as she grabbed her keys out and unlocked the back door. She pulled the door open, hearing it groan lightly before she stepped inside and closed the door behind her, making sure it was closed properly. She took a deep breath as she was now in the familiar, dull hallway leading to the office, and the hallway leading towards the attraction area and the Loading Dock.
Saphira walked to the office door, and as she walked in, she saw Mike at his desk. The man looked up from the computer and smiled when he saw her. "Evening, Saphira." He glanced at the time on the computer briefly and raised an eyebrow at her. "I see you are almost right on time. I hope everything is alright."
Saphira nodded, approaching her desk and placing her bag on the shelf. "Everything is okay. It is just…I guess last night was very, very interesting." She turned her office chair while hearing the man chuckling lightly at her comment. Saphira sat down and looked at Mike. "I did get a chance to observe the security system at work."
"On the first night?" Mike seemed surprised by this, and Saphira nodded. The man hummed softly before he shrugged. "That does happen sometimes. Monday is not usually the night people decide to sneak into the building, but it never matters what day of the week they get in. But I am sure you saw how effective the system is." Saphira nodded affirmatively. "Good, good. Not to worry, you never have to do anything."
"I got that. I am just surprised you did not say anything about the animatronics themselves."
The man raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?"
She frowned a little in confusion as she had not expected that response. "You should know what I mean, Mike. The animatronics…uh…you never said they were part of the system…"
"Oh, that." The man chuckled and turned away from her as he resumed doing what he was doing on his computer. "Yeah, well, that is usually the most shocking part. I don't tell any new guard about it, because it is hard to believe until you see it."
"Right…but…that is not the only thing that I want to ask about." Mike seemed to tense a little, though he did not respond. Saphira bit her lower lip as she thought about how she was going to ask him about them. "But…the animatronics aren't robotic animatronics, are they? As a kid, I remember thinking I heard heartbeats inside their chests and felt hot breath from their mouths. Was I crazy?"
Mike moved his head as he thought about how to respond while thinking on her questions. "Umm…that is a strange thing to ask me, Saphira." He turned to look at her with a calm expression. "I am not sure what you thought you saw last night, but I am not sure why you think the animatronics are odd." Saphira stared at him in disbelief, as she thought he would have confirmed it with her. "Look, when the vent system acts up, it tends to cause hallucinations. Only because the vent system is also connected to the gas system to a point, and when the vent system shuts off, and you don't reboot it after a certain about of time, that gas can affect your mind."
Saphira was certain she was not crazy, but he seemed to think that. "So you think that what I saw might have been a hallucination? Even the security system?"
"The security system in action, no, that is not a hallucination. But everything else, then yes. As I say to every new night guard, this place gets to people at night. You are already finding that out." Mike smiled at her and rolled the chair forward slightly to gently pat her right shoulder. "Don't worry, Saphira. You aren't the only one who has asked questions like that. I am sure by the end of the week, things will get sorted. They always do."
Mike rolled back from Saphira and turned to his computer. Saphira didn't really know what to say to that. He wasn't answering her directly, and he was telling her that what she saw was hallucinations. Saphira doubted that was true. Especially since the system did not have an error when Springtrap walked to the office. But maybe Mike did not know more than what he was saying, or he was simply saying these things to make her second guess herself. She was not sure.
Saphira shrugged and turned to face the computer to check the cameras. "Alright. If that is what I experienced last night, I hope you are right. But otherwise, I am sure I will figure it out on my own."
"I am sure you will." Mike did not seem to care for her last comment as he focused on the computer. "I'll be leaving here now anyway. You did a good job last night, even if there was a trespasser. When I got here today and was told things were good, I am happy. Just keep doing what you need to do again tonight, Saphira." She intended to, even though she considered trying to talk to one of the animatronics. "Things might get a little funny tonight, though the third night things might ramp up. Not sure why it happens by mid week, but that is just what I get told."
At least he's kind of giving me a subtle hint of what to expect this shift. Though I wish he didn't make it seem like I was hallucinating some of the things last night. I'll ignore that and see what happens tonight.
"I will not let you down, Mike. I am committed to this role."
"Good." Mike seemed to like her enthusiasm as he finished off a document before he put his computer into sleep mode and began to gather his things. "Today's been another long day." He groaned as he stood up from his chair and turned to Saphira. "Things should be as smooth as it was yesterday, since it is Tuesday. But tomorrow night, some of the cleaners might be here a little longer, though generally you won't notice until Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's always busy those days."
"You don't have to tell me, I remember how busy those days get. I always felt bad for the cleaners, especially when they would do their routine cleaning in the bathrooms." Saphira shivered with a disgusted expression. "That's why I used only one bathroom when I visited the pizzeria, because it was the cleanest almost all the time."
"I feel bad too. But it is the job they have, so there isn't much they can do." Mike walked to the office doorway and looked back at Saphira. "Anyway, you have a good night. I shall see you tomorrow at the same time. If you have other questions for me, you can ask them and I will try to answer like I did tonight."
Even though you skipped around answering the questions.
Saphira nodded as she was sure she would have questions, though she did not know if she would ask him. "I will try to have a good night. I know I won't be bored at least."
Mike just nodded as he walked away from the office and Saphira heard the door open and close. She sighed softly now that she was alone and rubbed her forehead in frustration. She had wanted answers, but she quickly realized that Mike won't or can't answer her questions. She was not sure why at this time, other than the fact that it could be the owner of this attraction keeping Mike from telling her the answers she wanted.
But given that the previous night guards may not have had a deep connection to the pizzeria like she did, so telling night guards that what they were seeing were hallucinations made sense. But Saphira was not convinced, due to her past experience as a child. So she guessed that she would have to investigate on her own. But she was not sure where to even start. After all, Saphira was well aware that she didn't have a lot of time each night, especially if she has to keep an eye on the animatronics.
I do wonder if the animatronics will be friendly to me. I think Bonnie recognized me, but I am unsure. It seemed like he wanted to talk last night. Maybe he will talk tonight…I hope so…I wonder what his voice sounds like.
Looking through the cameras, Saphira would see the guests who were still in the building enjoying the time that was left while the attraction remained open. All of them had no idea that a man had died over twelve hours ago and was potentially eaten by the animatronics. Like Saphira once thought of the animatronics, the guests were interacting with them and enjoying their time. Saphira smiled as she knew this was the side she always had known.
And everything I thought I knew about the animatronics has completely changed. I do not know yet if that will be good or bad.
She did look through the cameras at each of the animatronics. They were all in their correct spot, they were not acting any differently and no one appeared to be intrigued by the animatronics like they noticed something strange about them. Springtrap was still in the principal's office, even though Saphira wished she could go to him right now to speak with him. Knowing that talking to him right now while the attraction was open could technically be safe, but she was not sure.
I wonder if the animatronics have feelings if they are alive…that means when I didn't come back after promising that I would, they would have been hurt. I hope they did not take it so badly…
Saphira could not help but feel a little guilty if that was true. She knew it was not her fault for not being able to come back to the restaurant. Sure, she could have come back sooner once she got her license, but Saphira was not thinking of getting a job at the time. She was focused on school, and she still needed to get back to her schoolwork, so that this job would not impact her ability to graduate this year. But she knew that it might be hard to look at her schoolwork for a few days.
She glanced at her watch and she sighed deeply, knowing it was going to feel like time is going slow since it was only nine-thirty right now. She hummed softly and just kept an eye on the cameras to make sure no guest was thinking of staying back, as she knew that they would not be leaving this building alive later. She didn't see anything suspicious at the moment, which was good, and that gave Saphira a bit of time to just relax and think about how the night might go. It was hard to tell at this time.
The time goes by as Saphira sat on the chair while watching the cameras. Nothing changes too much and there was nothing suspicious from any of the guests, and she did not see anyone hiding in the staff areas of the building. She took the chance to use the bathroom, knowing she might not be able to have time to use it once it hits midnight. She watched as the staff would leave as the hours go by. And once the attraction closed to the guests, Saphira was eager for the other staff to leave.
Like the night before, the staff would notice her as they walk by the office. Most gave her a friendly farewell, and a couple seemed surprised that she was still there. But she didn't question that, as she guessed that the staff were used to seeing regular changes with night guards, though it was still disturbing. She did wonder why the staff never really seemed worried about the regular change of night guards, though she guessed they weren't affected, so it didn't bother them as much.
Once it hit eleven thirty, the last of the other staff left. Leaving Saphira with an extra thirty minutes to walk around the attraction to check the doors before the system changes to the night system. Saphira was happy about that, as she would not have to worry about the system errors at this time. With this knowledge, Saphira grabbed her keys and flashlight before first checking the back door to ensure it was shut before walking to the hallway and turned left to make her way by the supply closets to head to the Loading Dock.
She was walking at a faster pace than the night before, as she did not want to waste a lot of time checking the doors. After walking by the supply closets and into the curved hallway with random pallets and stuff, Saphira found more stacks of pallets in the hallway, and there was one pallet with wooden boxes and a pallet with barrels sitting on them. She shined her light at the boxes to see a strange Freddy symbol on the side. She walked closer, and she saw the name Afton written on the side.
Afton? I don't recognize that name or word for that matter. Is Afton the name of the person who owns this place?
Saphira shrugged, as she couldn't really think of an answer to that question. But the name on the boxes was interesting. She looked at the barrels, and they had the labels scratched off for some reason. She raised an eyebrow and wondered if that was intentional or not. She might write a note and leave it on Mike's desk regarding the barrels, in case this was a big no, and needed to be sorted. Even if it meant losing some stock.
She made sure to take care when walking by these, as she knew that she did not want to trip on these or cut her leg, as she definitely did not want the animatronics to chase her if they smell her blood. As much as she loved the animatronics, being chased by them would be incredibly scary. Especially as she did not know how fast they were. She could already guess their strength, but that was about it.
Upon entering the Loading Docks, Saphira immediately noticed one of the roller doors was not closed properly. She groaned loudly, knowing she would have to fix that, but she walked to the side door first to check it. It was thankfully locked, and she walked down over to the roller door controls. She looked at the door, as it was on an angle slightly, so she rolled the door up first to see if there was anything underneath the door. There as nothing, so she pressed the down button and it rolled down with no problem. She didn't know why it wasn't fixed earlier if she could do it easily.
Not wanting to worry about it, Saphira turned and shined her light at the door at the back of the Loading Dock briefly before making her way to the door into the dishwashing and kitchen area. She hummed softly to herself as she opened the door and looked at the floor as she saw the Wet Floor signs immediately. She didn't see any water on the floor, so it would have dried from the mopping that would have been done, but at least the signs were there.
She walked by the signs without moving them into the kitchen and shined her light around the area, not sure if she would see any animatronic suddenly or not like she had in the Mess Hall. She did hope to not see Phantom Foxy there again, but she knew that the animatronics might only decide to move once it hit midnight. Though she suspected they might have wills of their own, so that might not be completely accurate. They would likely know when the building was empty, aside from the security guard, even if it is before midnight.
She walked over to the side door to find it opened slightly. Sighing softly, Saphira closed the door and locked it and turned, looking around again and saw that the kitchen was empty. She was glad as she proceeded to the next door. She did wonder if she would get tired of following the same route each night, but she doubted it. At least at this time, she might change her mind a bit later, and decide to go to the front door first instead.
Saphira reached the door and she paused as she heard the sound of the doors from the main dining room opening and closing. She tensed a little as she felt the hairs on her arms stand up as she already guessed an animatronic was behind her. However, she reached for the door handle as she forced herself to not look behind her. She heard no footsteps, but she already figured out that the animatronics could walk so lightly she would not hear them.
Just as she closed the door behind her, Saphira gasped and covered her mouth with her hand while stepping back from the door as she heard a loud clang of multiple pots falling and hitting the floor. She stared at the door as she backed away from it slowly, knowing that it would be extremely foolish to open the door to see who was making the noise. She did not know which animatronic was in the kitchen right now, but she did not want to check.
I am not going to fall for my curiosity right now…that's how people die in horror movies…I am not going to do that stupid thing…hopefully the animatronics will let me check the other doors at least.
Saphira backed away from the door cautiously until she felt the handle of the next door into the hallway by the chapel. She didn't want to take her eyes off the door the whole time until she got out of that short hallway. Once she saw the rose red doors of the chapel, Saphira was relieved. She looked at the sign to see the neon lights were still on, and it answered her question about the system automatically turning the lights on and off, even though she wasn't even focused on that.
She walked towards the doors into the chapel, glancing back at the door she had come from, worried that an animatronic would follow her. She did not know which of the animatronics was in the kitchen, but she had not wanted to look. She took a deep breath as she walked quickly to the red doors and opened one of them to step inside the carpeted area. Though as she closed the door, she did leave it open slightly to watch the door she had come from in case an animatronic would walk through. Nothing happened after a few minutes before Saphira turned away and walked down the hallway.
She adjusted her jacket while trying to focus on her job. She just wanted to get to each door to check them. She did wonder if the animatronics scared night guards as a form of game. Though Saphira did also wonder if any of the other night guards were killed. Mike wouldn't likely admit it, because that would mean no one would take the job. But if that was true, it was more like a pride of lions stalking and hunting their prey.
Saphira shuddered at that thought as she walked into the bar and proceeded into the kitchen to find the door was locked. Her mind was really thinking of so many different things at the moment. She thought about sitting in the bar for a bit to clear her mind, but the animatronics would know where she is, so that would not matter. So she proceeded to leave the chapel, making her way back to red doors to leave.
Upon reaching the doors, she opened one slightly to see if there was an animatronic in the hallway. There was none at the moment, so she quickly stepped out into the hallway, and as she closed the door, Saphira heard the other door closing. She tensed as she knew that meant an animatronic was in the hallway with her, as she could sense the feeling of someone watching her intently. Saphira swallowed nervously and turned her head to look.
She gasped loudly as she saw Chica standing there, glaring at her with a sharp expression. Saphira stared at her as she backed away, though Chica blinked a few times before she softened her expression as she seemed to realize something. And now she was staring in disbelief, as though she was seeing a ghost. Chica tilts her head slightly before lifting her hands to rub her eyes. Saphira wasn't expecting that gesture, but it seemed that Chica was believing that she was dreaming.
But when she reopened her eyes and stared at Saphira, she seemed like she wanted to say something, but she could not. Saphira was relieved though, and she forced a smile. "Hey, uh, Chica…" The animatronic flinched when Saphira began to speak to her. "Um…I will see if there are any cupcakes that we can share together…like old times, when we used to have a tea party together…when I was much younger." That made Chica seem even more surprised, and she looked away and looked back in confusion. "Only if you want…j-just let me check the last couple doors. Uh…thanks…"
Saphira backed away from Chica before she hit the wall behind her, and turned her head to the archway by the Haunted Classroom. She stepped towards the doorway, and looked at Chica. Chica looked away from Saphira and rubbed the back of her neck, seemingly unsure of what to do now, and Saphira opened the door into the Haunted Classroom and quickly stepped inside. She sighed in relief and looked down the hallway, half expecting to see Springtrap. But he was not there.
She glanced at the door to the principal's office, knowing that Springtrap could walk out any time. She walked by the door quickly as she approached the doors on the other side, not wanting to waste a heap of time. She wasn't even sure how she would react to seeing Springtrap, as she knew that she would see him eventually. There was no escaping that fact, but she wanted to hope that she would get to the last couple doors before seeing him.
But she did wonder about Chica as she opened the door into the Mess Hall. She glanced at the attractions as she walked by them quickly. She knew that moving quickly might be suspicious, but the animatronics would know she was aware things were different. But when Chica saw Saphira, and that she seemed to act surprised made Saphira think that Chica recognized her. After all, before the toy animatronics came along, Saphira used to have tea parties with Chica and Saphira would have cupcakes at the tea parties. And Chica would know that only Saphira would know this fact.
I guess Bonnie might not have said anything, given that I think he is the only one to recognize me. I am unsure if Fredbear has recognized me though. I know the phantom animatronics won't, since we never met, but…Chica recognized me, and I am sure Bonnie did as well yesterday. I hope Springtrap does, but I have a feeling he would have been upset I never came back. Hopefully, I will get to speak to them…even though I know this is a new situation for me.
Saphira looked at the stage as she walked by the phantom animatronics. Phantom Freddy, Phantom Bonnie and Phantom Chica were all on the stage, looking like they were turned off. Saphira knew that speaking to them may not be a good idea, even though she had the strong temptation to speak with the animatronics. But as she did not have a bond with the phantom animatronics like the others, she knew the response she would get from the phantom animatronics wouldn't be what she would want. She wasn't even sure if she could build a relationship with them, but she still had to speak with the other animatronics first.
As she walked to the kitchen and pushed open the door, she shined her light inside and looked around for any sign of Phantom Foxy. Unlike the day before, he was not present here. Saphira hummed softly as she stepped inside and closed the door quietly behind her before walking over to the side door to check it. She kept looking around in case Phantom Foxy walked in, while confirming that the side door was locked properly tonight.
With that settled, Saphira walked back to the door and opened it slowly to look out, and look around. Nothing has changed again, and she glanced towards the Phantom Voyage and Mangle's Metal Works in case the animatronics were looking at her, but there was nothing out of the ordinary at this time. She stepped out and closed the door behind her before she walked away quickly to head back through the Haunted Classroom.
She did get the sense of being watched as she walked by the recess area as she passed the attractions, but she did not look back, as she knew that one or more of the animatronics had opened their eyes to look at her. Maybe they were surprised by how fast she was moving through the building, she was not sure, but she was not about to ask either. She didn't look back as she opened the door into the Haunted Classroom and stepped inside.
She looked towards the principal's office again, thinking on whether she should go in or not, as checking the front door wasn't difficult. But she decided against it. She glanced at her watch and smiled when she saw she had ten minutes before it was midnight. She was really rolling through the building, so she proceeded forward to the worn doors on the other side to leave the area. Though after walking through the doors and closed them behind her, Saphira heard one of the doors inside the Haunted Classroom open slowly. She could hear the squeal of it.
That must be Springtrap leaving his room…
Saphira almost pushed the door open to see, but she backed away from the door as she stared at it before looking ahead. She looked back towards the chapel, and she saw Chica was gone. She guessed Chica had returned to the main dining room. There definitely was more activity going on tonight than there was the previous night. Even though Mike said the second night might be a little more intense, but Saphira like it was more than just a little intense. Especially if the animatronics were already moving as soon as the staff leave.
Saphira glanced at the Bedroom of Nightmares as she walked by it, before looking at the entry into the Toy Plaza. She was half expecting to see an animatronic standing at the doorway, but there was none. She did peer through the doorway to look at the stage, and the toy animatronics were still where they were. She was pleased, though as she looked towards Golden Bonnie's Storytime, she noticed that the door of the house was open slightly, and Saphira tensed as she saw the green eye of Golden Bonnie looking back at her.
Saphira blinked and acted like she didn't see Golden Bonnie and turned away, shuddering a little and looking back down the hallway towards the Haunted Classroom. She saw nothing, and heard nothing as well. Saphira sighed and continued walking into the hallway, knowing she was about to walk by the main dining room before she would head to the front door to check it. She was not sure if Chica was there, but that didn't matter. She would find out anyway.
Walking into the room, Saphira looked at the doorway into the main dining room and glanced towards Fredbear's Family Diner briefly before peering into the main dining room. And she saw that the stage was empty. The curtains at Pirate Cove were open, and she saw no sign of the four animatronics right now. She shined her light around to see if they were somewhere in the room, but she did not see them.
Great…I hope they are…just having a conversation somewhere, and not watching me…maybe Chica is talking to them.
Backing away from the doorway, Saphira glanced towards Fredbear's dining room again before turning and walking towards the archway into the lobby. She didn't even know if there would be any trespassers tonight or not, but she didn't care to think about that at the moment. She approached the front door and checked the door controls to make sure that the door had been locked correctly. It has been locked correctly, so she could now return to the office.
Turning to look back at the archway, she approached it cautiously as the doorway into the main dining room was right ahead. She still did not see any of the animatronics. She glanced at the mirror tiles as she walked through the tunnel, though only briefly as she walked towards the left to make her way to the short hallway. She glanced right as she heard a light thump, which sounded a bit like a door shutting, and she did not know if that was from the Haunted Classroom or not.
She sighed deeply and walked towards the staff door, only to glance into Fredbear's dining room. She flinched as Fredbear was on his stage, but his eyes were open, and he was staring at her. But his expression seemed to be sinister, compared to what she was used to. Unlike Bonnie and Chica, it seemed he did not recognize her at this time. Saphira shivered as she walked by the doorway cautiously, not knowing if he would move as soon as she took her eyes off him.
However, she saw something at the corner of her eye, and she looked to her right and before she even shined her light down the hallway, she could see the shape of an animatronic standing in the doorway. She gasped loudly as she instantly recognized Springtrap's shape, and she grabbed the door handle of the staff door and opened it. She didn't even shine her flashlight in Springtrap's direction, but she didn't need to. She saw and heard him running towards her.
Shrieking in fear and surprise, she closed the door behind her and attempted to run towards the office. Though as she did, the staff door opened quickly and she heard a light growling behind her. She shuddered, deciding to not flee into the office, but somewhere else, but she felt a large, strong hand grabbing her left shoulder and shoving her into the wall, making her yelp as her back and shoulders hurt from the impact. She felt her necklace shifting suddenly as well, making her think it will break if not careful, but she didn't look to check.
And she was now face-to-face with Springtrap as he was glaring at Saphira. He was growling lightly and his mouth was open slightly, however, as the lighting in the hallway was more natural here than the rest of the attraction due to just regular, LED lights, Springtrap was able to see her properly. And as such, he stared at her before his expression turned from a glare to a look of confusion. He blinked like he was seeing things before he growled and shifted his hand slightly, which made him notice the pendent, due to it shifting out from Saphira's jacket, and he had heard the sound of the chain, which caught his attention.
His eyes widen slightly, lifting his hand to the pendent gently to look at it. Saphira was breathing heavily and not moving as she did not dare run at the moment. He stared at the pendent for a moment before turning it over to see the writing on the back. It never occurred to Saphira that the animatronics would be able to read. But given that he wanted to see what was on the back, it was likely he could read.
And his expression turned to shock as he looked at Saphira's eyes before he stumbled backwards in shock, releasing her from his grasp. Saphira was relieved and rubbed her shoulder lightly while watching him intently. Springtrap was staring at her in disbelief, and like Chica, like he had seen a ghost right now. She didn't blame him, considering it has been ten years since they had seen each other. But now, Saphira was seventeen. So, it made sense he didn't recognize her straight away, which was why Chica would have been confused too.
Saphira wanted to say something, but she couldn't.
