Hinata was not sure what Mika had planned for her as she walked to their, ... THEIR, training field. 'My Kami, that feels good to say!, OUR training field. I am sharing something with a friend... I feel like I am floating.' What she did not expect was a rubber ball flying at her at high speeds, almost colliding with her face. She, due to practice with people trying to hit her, easily pivoted around it. Turning, she saw Mika and six Water clones looking at her smugly.
"Nice, but can you dodge them all. Today we are working on evasion and coordination, key factors in all taijutsu styles. You graduate in two months, the Chunin exams are in two months after that. Even if you don't participate, I want you good enough to kick the crap out of those exams. I want you to prove your superiority to the world. I know you can do it. It is my job to help you do just that. I own you after school each day and on Saturday, not counting when you must train with your clan."
She bowed, not bothering to mask her excitement. "I have never looked forward to fighting, to training. It is always painful and mocking, I know you will lift me up and help me excel... so thank you!"
"I will be stern when I need to be, but mostly I will praise you. Leading with the carrot not the stick, so to speak. Now, get on the water and prepare to dodge. Your chakra levels are high, you are of noble blood after all, but we can bolster them even more. I am aiming for a ten percent increase by graduation. Roughly anyway. We can also work on your control, which I presume is already high. I will show you some medical tricks, and some I made up myself, to bolster your reserves and control.
From there, while you rest, we will work on your academic work and meditation. That will help your sensory skills, as it has helped my own. That it helps your chakra levels and control is only another advantage of meditation.
We will then move onto taijutsu and throwing weapons with myself and my clones. This is how you repay me, giving me a live fighter to try my skills against. My taijutsu specifically, I mean. Now... are you ready?"
She nodded, taking off her coat, not at all uncomfortable or needing it's protection. Gliding onto the water, she fell into a low stance. "Let me show you what I can do!"

Mika could rarely describe himself as impressed, but Hinata's raw agility was incredible. She easily danced around each and every strike, attack or rubber ball thrown at her. Six clones and himself, it did not matter, she was that good. After twenty minutes of this, Mika clapped, drawing everyone's attention. "Hinata, I saw your file, from the academy. It said you were average in taijutsu, and your father said the same..." She cringed, but he continued. " I think I realize where they went wrong." That made her look up, confused. "You're meant for more than the direct combat style of the Academy or Gentle Fist. You need to remake and remold all you know to better fit you, if you do this, you will be far, far more powerful, a potent force that will tear up your enemies.
I think the mixture of my medical style and the Gentle fist will really, really help you. It's all about evasion and hyper focusing on patterns. With you, my dear, and your byakugan it will make you into something to fear. For now, let's focus on your evasion, then we can go through as planned. An hour on each subject, bar Saturdays. Let's hope to it!
Hinata, as it turned out had a near eidetic memory. She knew all of the academy subjects rather well, she just tended to second guess herself. He knew the only real way to help her here was to praise her and treat her well. They would spend an hour mixing facts from various subjects, including some he wanted her know, and tons of praise. She was actually a brilliant mind, and could engage in deep philosophical or detail talk...
Like on the value of each Hokage.
"I do appreciate all the Second Hokage did to allow growth, but he also allowed the Huge Curse mark to be made and manufactured." She shivered at the mention of that jutsu. Her White eyes filled with immense loathing, beyond anything he had seen anyone express. "It's a slave mark. I hate it, I have always wanted to destroy it, to abolish it entirely."
Mika nodded. "Can you study seals?"
She sighed. "Um... not safely, my clan monitors such things."
"Then I'll do it." She paused. "I'll focus on seals, I can shift some things around and dedicate my time to them. Incorporate it into my medical training since we use seals for advanced surgeries and so on."
She then threw her entire sobbing body at him. "I would love nothing more... thank you. How ever can I repay you?"
"Honestly?" He asked, stroking her hair. "Just continue to be my friend and ally. If that stays, I'll have a realistic path to jonin and maybe even my goal to be a Sanin type figure... now... after we meditate some, we will spar. That is the part I honestly cannot wait for."
An hour passed and soon they were on the water once more, in their individual stances. A leaf fell, swayed by the wind and soon they were at each other's throat. Hinata slammed a palm forward and Mika turned to the side, slapping aside her next attacked before slamming his knee into her gut. Grabbing her arm, he threw her across the water. She struggled to stand, eyes wide.
"You... are... strong..., how did you avoid me so easily?" She almost sound desperate.
"I am a medic, my style is all about measuring movements and patterns to see pathways. Your gentle fist is a cookie cutter style, nothing unique yet. That will change when you add your own flair. Now, until that happens, I want you to watch my movements. I have learned to repress them, all Medics are taught this as are chunin and jonin level ninja. It is just what we do. I am the perfect person for you to teach yourself how to follow through with your observations and adaptations."
She nodded, her eyes wide. "I noticed... I thought... you move with your left foot a bit less, your right handed and lead that way. I also saw that you turned to my left. That sort of pattern?"
So proud, Mika beamed at her. "Yes, precisely. That is exactly what I was talking about. Now, onward, I cannot wait to see who you'll be by graduation."

'That will help you immensely, Hinata. He will succeed where I have failed you.' Hiashi thought from his lofty vantage point at his Office, peering through the vast space between his location and Mika's training ground. The boy was helping Hinata in ways that Hiashi never could, ways he was too inflexible to try. 'May you forgive me, my dear daughter, though I do not deserve it... I pray that one day, you do.'
It was remarkable to see, just in a few hours with Mika, his daughter demonstrated vastly more potential than ever before. Before she was barely a genin, but with his praise and guidance she was easily a chunin level fighter. She moved with grace, poise and power befitting his heiress... it left him breathless and in a remarkable amount of pain to see her overcoming her crippling shyness so fastly, and all through one untied to her kin.
He knew it was his malice and impatience that had left her so weak, but the reminder was not something he enjoyed...
Still, if this was what she needed to succeed, than so be it. He really did not care what the Elders said. Not in this, not now.
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a joy to write.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
