Night was lit up with many beach fires and had constant noise of people's voices in the distance. Batman checked the bridge the second time and the clock struck past by two in the morning. He found White Shadow patrolling people's peace from roofs of the buildings closed to the bank area.

-How is it going? - he asked landing on a roof behind a figure in a white cloak.

-It's going. People very disoriented and fatigue I just hope for the sun come out as soon as possible.

-It's going to snow tomorrow so it will stay gloomy next three days.

-What about Gordon. I don't see ice pontoon boats.

-Just talk to his people they on the way from the police garage where those boats were parked. I have to go and make sure no one attacks them.

-I'll be here in case something happens.

-Let me know if any danger on the horizon. - Batman left as quick and silent as he appeared leaving White Shadow speechless.

The night city's skyline wasn't inviting anymore. There were no lights from the buildings nor advertisements or bright lines of cars moving as blood cells through the city's vines. It was big dark and cold corpses of something what was called Gotham City not so long ago. Short minutes of silence during his flight over the darkness made Batman think if this city could be the same again, rebuilt and replenished with life.

He saw the column of cars from the far. They moved with only one source of light from the fist car the rest of cars didn't turn on lights. It was done on purpose do not attract the attention and got those boats safe to the river bank. Batman followed the column as a dark shadow checking ahead every corner and every side movement.

It was quiet for a long time but as soon as the column moved into the old part of the city where streets were narrower and buildings shorter the problem started right there. Batman caught a movement signal from one building then from another and another. Soon his radar showed ten moving objects and they were moving fast which meant only one thing they were no regular humans.

Batman landed right before one of the things was about to crush at a moving police car. They both flew to the wall smashing bricks. Batman tried the bullet what was meant to put creatures into sleep and fired it from his forearm's armor. The bullet got into the creature's leg and it pushed Batman aside running behind the building. No time to see if the bullet worked and Batman run to the next mutant and fired at him and immediately got hit by a driving vehicle which carried a pontoon boat.

He felt on the ground but got up just in time to shoot his bat rope to catch a creature in its jump to a pontoon boat. When it felt on the ground roaring its legs were tight with a rope and Batman fired a sleeping bullet. The first police car had to stop because it got attacked and policemen were shots firing fin the inside. One creature got six bullets and yet was banging on the car. Batman fired couple of his ropes and bullets and got into the fight with three of the creatures opening the road for a column to continue. Creatures were weak but it was hard to tell what was the cause of this fatigue police's bullets or sleeping ones. At the end when the column passed, Batman notices he was fighting with five creatures at once but the rest of them were on the ground. "So it works" the thought came to his mind and now all he needed is fight five of them until they dropped because he already shot them with his new invention. Unfortunately, five of them even falling asleep were tougher then one Batman and he got much damage to his bat suit and human body under it. Finally they were crushed on the ground leaving the street in ruins and Batman breathing heavily barely standing on his legs. "I need to take them into my lab before they wake up" - he called his aircraft and loaded it with sleeping heavy bodies. He knew he couldn't leave White Shadow alone so he set up the ending point Wane's Manor. Batman notified Alfred and Fox about the bodies inside the aircraft and he was on the way to follow the column again to secure it's path.
