Chapter 18: The Phantom of Bonny Scot:

Nancy's POV:

So, to recap, this town has a ghost, and everyone thinks my Dad killed her so now he's in jail and I'm trying to figure out what really happened that night. Also, there might be some secret conspiracy that's enough to hire a leprechaun. I think they might be the ones who framed my Dad and might be the ones who really killed Lucy. Only one problem, all I got is a former forensic scientist who makes poisons and a leprechaun who left for his home planet. I was stumped.

"Nancy."

"Huhh," I asked.

It was Sabrina. "I think I might have some information you can use," says Sabrina, "rumor says that Lucy was on the Bonny Scot."

"The what," I asked.

"An old ship that's docked right outside of town," says Sabrina, "but legend says it's being haunted by a phantom."

"Well, if a certain witch was willing to help me," I said.

"Alright," says Sabrina, "but just so you know, that whole witch and ghost becoming friends thing only happens with Casper and Wendy."

. . .

Sabrina and I arrived at the Bonny Scot.

"Sure is a creepy place," I said, "hey, by the way, where's Salem?"

"He's a cat and this is a boat that's on water," says Sabrina, "you'd think he'd come along on this trip."

"Good point," I said.

We then looked around, but I had the feeling we were being watched.

. . .

Sabrina and I were in the Captain's station.

"Is this the captain," I asked, pointing to a portrait.

"Yep, they say he was killed by the phantom that haunts this boat, Donna Mae."

"Well, maybe Dead Lucy will protect me from Dead Donna," I said.

Then the ship started steering itself.

. . .

"Are you doing this," I asked.

"Why would I use my magic just so we can go on a boat ride," asks Sabrina, "it's probably Donna Mae!"

Then Donna shows up. "It's me alright," says Donna, "so, look who showed up."

"Donna, I'm..."

"I know who you are, Lucy Sables," says Donna.

"What," I asked.

"I don't know how you stayed young or who your friend is, but I recognize you," says Donna.

"I'm sorry, but Lucy's dead too," I said.

"You think you can fool me, you who stole something from this ship?"

"What," I asked.

"Where is my locket," asks Donna.

Then there was lightning. Sabrina had to fight back with her magic. We then ran.

McKeever's POV:

I was in the cafeteria. Look at them. The scums of humanity.

"Well, if it isn't the Black Hood," says Gomber. Kroon was with him.

"What do you two want," I asked.

"I know you think you're better then us," says Gomber, "but the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

"You're talking about Nancy Drew," I said.

"She got all of us in here," says Kroon.

"Thanks to her, no one can clean up the mess the police make," I said, "but you two are part of the problem."

"We're not saying you have to be buddies with us," says Gomber, "but there is someone we can take our anger out on."

"Someone who, supposedly, is the one who killed Lucy Sables," says Kroon.

"Carson Drew," I said, "he can recieve real punishment for his crimes and I can get revenge on his daughter. Maybe you two are on to something... but after this, we go our separate ways."

"Of course," says Kroon.

"We understand," says Gomber.

Nancy's POV:

Sabrina and I managed to get away from the Phantom.

"Why does she think I'm Lucy," I said, "you got some explaining to do!"

"You do kind of look like her," says Sabrina.

"If we don't get out of here, Donna's going to kill us," I said.

Then we heard something. It was more ghosts. "Let's go," says Sabrina. We ran.

. . .

Now we're in the mess hall.

"If only we knew about the locket," says Sabrina.

"Too bad we can't give it to her," I said.

"Maybe I can trap Donna in something," says Sabrina.

"Let's give it a try," I said.

. . .

We found a jar. When Donna enters, Sabrina uses her magic to trap her in the jar.

"It worked," I said.

We then high fived, but then Donna shakes the jar, causing it to fall to the ground, break, and Donna is out. "Really," asks Donna.

"Hey, we're not Danny Phantom," I said. Sabrina and I then ran.

. . .

"This is getting ridiculous," says Sabrina.

"At least we know Lucy was on this boat," I said, "but I wish we knew more."

"We won't with that ghost chasing us," says Sabrina.

"Maybe we can steer the boat back to Riverdale," I said, "let's go."

. . .

Sabrina and I returned to the station, but then Donna shows up.

"You will return my locket," says Donna.

Just as she was about to attack us, Lucy appears.

"It's Lucy," I said.

"What," asks Donna.

Lucy floats towards Donna and hands her the locket and disappears.

"Is that your locket," I asked.

"I'm sorry," says Donna, "I really thought... can you forgive me?"

"If you tell us what you know about Lucy," I said.

"I'm so sorry, but all I know is that she came here with a man. They found my locket and took it."

"Can you tell us who the man is," I asked.

"I never got his name," says Donna.

"Well, I'm sorry she took your locket," I said, "can you take us back to Riverdale?"

"Sure," says Donna.

. . .

I told my friends about the adventure I had.

"And you don't know who this guy is," asks Ned.

"I'm working on that," I said, "I'm sure I'll get to the bottom of this."

McKeever's POV:

"So, when do we strike," I asked.

"Patience," says Gomber, "good things come to those who wait."

In the next chapter, Nancy and her friends check out Larkspur Lake.
